• lauren (10/5): Great Location and Place to Stay! - Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had breakfast each morning in the hotel and were able to choose either the breakfast buffet (both hot and cold options) or ordering from the menu. I tried both, and both were delicious. There is a workout room with three treadmills, two ellipticals, a bike, free weights, exercise balls and a workout machine. There is an outdoor pool, and parking is on the premises. We love the location, as we can walk to downtown Asheville in five minutes to eat, shop and enjoy the nightlife. The room needs a make-up mirror and more towel racks.

• delz0rrat (10/5): Relaxing vacation in Asheville - We recently stayed at this amazing hotel during our trip to Asheville. The hotel is located on College Street. This hotel is in close walking distance of many different types of restaurants, museums, and many different places to shop. I really enjoyed being able to walk around Asheville instead of having to drive everywhere. The vibe in Asheville was very friendly and relaxed. We had reserved a King Deluxe Room and it was awesome, clean, very well appointed, and maintained! It was a very good room for the price I paid! The hotel was very quiet during the day and night. Ms. Reagan who worked the Front Desk was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful during my stay! She answered all our questions about Asheville that we had. The Housekeeping Staff Mr. Oscar, Ms. Issa, and Ms. Velma were extremely friendly, professional, and did an outstanding job maintaining our room during our stay at the hotel! We will return to this hotel for our next trip to Asheville.

• Wiebe (9/5): Fantastic Staff, great rooms and SAFE location! - Ashville Hilton has the friendliest hotel staff, from all departments. It was so refreshing to see smiling faces and cheerful voices. Great downtown location very close to a lot of great eateries. Super safe neighbourhood. Pool was closed, we came from -20 Canadian weather and looked forward to the pool.

• Sandra (7/5): The meeting facilities were excellent - The ergonomics of the room were awkward. If you open the bathroom door you could not walk past in the hall. The fridge opened the opposite of the cabinet toward the wall. No freezer. The bathroom was tiny and hard to maneuver.
• Ashley (7/5): It was ok - The waitress was super nice The breakfast was just eatable and cost was high. I was on the 5th floor. I was gone from 7am until 3pm working. When I got back room service had not come. They didn’t make it to that floor until 3:30. There were two small trash cans in the room. Only one had a bag. Also I was on the side gassing the road and I heard sirens all night. Also. There is no smoking area. I was told it was all the way around the front of the building. There was no but bucket. So I walked back and forth in the rain. There was nowhere to sit. On the last morning I saw the but bucket beside the pool door. If that’s the smoking area. Not only is there to where to sit. But it’s not even covered and out of the weather

He is a one of those lead by example people, working the floor at breakfast , bussing tables, bringing coffee and great resource for local restaurants. Only this is the beds could be upgrade really not great

• Lea Ann (7/5): Great downtown location for a visit - Location and the breakfast options. Their breakfast menu went beyond the offered buffet of cold cereals, toast, rolls and muffins, waffles, berry pancakes, fruits and yogurts, eggs sausage and bacon. The location worked very well for walking around Asheville. The $15/day parking pass, less than several other nearby hotels, can be extended past noon at no additional charge for enjoying the day in Asheville. The room seemed worn, but clean. Our room was arranged with a large empty space, the size where a small table and chairs should have been. While we didn't need it, the room seemed incomplete. The carpet was threadbare where it met the tiled floor. The breakfast pricing was three dollars more per person than listed in the Booking reservation information. The parking elevator has been broken for a while, per the staff, so if no spaces are left on the top level, you will be carrying suitcases up the parking steucture stairs to enter the hotel.

• EastTNVol (10/5): Very nice hotel, in a great location! - This hotel was very nice; I’m not sure if it’s new or newly-renovated, but the fixtures were very clean. There is a parking garage next to the hotel, which was convenient. The hotel has a rooftop bar, which has great views of the mountains. They do monthly themes at the bar, with October being a Harry Potter theme; they went over the top with decorations, themed-drinks, etc. My only complaint was that the bartender added money to the tip I left on my tab; they added less than a dollar, and while I had a food & beverage credit from my Hilton Honors reward status (meaning it didn’t actually cost me any extra, out of my pocket), it was still irritating. Other than that, the stay was great, and I would still rank this as my first choice for hotels in the Asheville area.

The property is in the Hospital district so you will hear ambulances, I was told that I had an option of being A- directly under the rooftop bar so I would hear music, or B - I can get the room facing the road and more than likely I will hear emergency vehicles/ ambulances… Not exactly the most inviting. Every item ordered from the kitchen was not good. Truly, the food needs help, & rooftop bar barely we could barely get service. Beautiful view from rooftop. But. Had to wave someone down each time to place an order- felt inconvenienced each time. Regretting what I ordered from rooftop too, (salmon and undercooked veggies) cold flavorless… just not good. Following morning I order avocado toast, it wasn’t good either - a weird puree of avocado? Step the food game up!

Do not pay with cash at The Pillar Bar on the roof top. They will ask for your room number, and then when you pay cash to zero out your tab, they still charge your room.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn’t get to visit the rooftop bar but heard from others it was great. Rooms were comfy, clean and had just enough space. Location was perfect and close to downtown. Hotel offered shuttle service to downtown as well.

The location is perfect; a very short walk to downtown but not right in the middle of things. This felt important for noise considerations since we had our toddlers on our trip. Clean rooms and amenities. Would definitely recommend as a kid-friendly hotel stay.

Our check in was smooth (we found out later it was actually the GM who checked us in), the hotel common areas and room are very clean (and I’m picky about cleanliness), we had a spacious corner room, and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary champagne at check in was a nice touch. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the hotel left chocolate covered strawberries in our fridge! The on site hotel had a fun and delicious array of tiki-themed drinks and food; so good, in fact, that we chose to dine there for dinner instead of one of Asheville’s Miriam of other hotels. The hotel also offered complimentary transportation, provided by a very sweet and personable driver.

• E4640SIchristinef (2/5): Exceedingly noisy on Saturday nights due to rooftop parties - This is to report that this particular hotel has parties on Saturday night and due to a party this past month my family got little sleep. It was right over our heads and the clean up went well into the early morning hours. Numerous calls were made but no alternative rooms were available. The hotel declined to provide a reimbursement. The rooms on the fifth floor should not be booked at all for Saturdays.

• Rob (2/5): - DO NOT accept room in the middle of the 5th floor on a night they have music. Whoever thought a loud rooftop bar directly above hotel rooms was a good idea needs their head checked. If you're out on the town and not back until 11pm, then you'd never know. Unfortunately we had an event we needed to be at at 6am and tried to be in bed at 9pm. It sounded like we were in a nightclub until 10:30pm. It wasn't possible to turn the TV up loud enough to drown it out. Every other aspect of the property was great. If we were in another room, this would probably be a 10/10 review.
• Rosa (10/5): - This property is just a quick walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel offers free shuttle service which we used. It was quick and convenient and dropped us off in the River Arts District. The rooftop bar was nice and had live music while we were there. We only ate at the property once and the food was fine. All the staff were nice and very attentive. You can definitely tell the flood impacted tourism and everyone we met in Asheville was warm and welcoming.

• John (10/5): - Very nice hotel and great location. Clean and very friendly staff. Pool area should be kept cleaner and someone should monitor folks that have been over served at the pool. Roof top bar is a wonderful perk. The only negative is that they charge for parking. The lot was never totally full even on July 4th weekend. Didn’t mind too much until I was charged for the day that we checked out. Fair to only charge per night, not day. Don’t let that deter you. Nice place!
• stillconnect (10/5): Truly Outstanding Staff & Service - I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Asheville for five months, from January through June, and I can honestly say it felt like a second home. From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and cared for. Rhyne Franklin, the General Manager, clearly leads by example, his entire team is professional, warm, and always willing to go the extra mile. The front desk staff; Tina, Reagan, Meraldo, Lauren, David, Valarie (just to name a few)—greeted me with kindness every day and quickly got to know me by name. It was the kind of hospitality that reminds you of the show Cheers—where everybody really does know your name. The Pillar Rooftop Bar was a gem of the hotel. Alejandro, Butters, Kayla, Amanda, Tate, Keith, and the rest of the crew created a fun, friendly atmosphere with great food, drinks, and live music every Friday and Saturday. Whether I was winding down from a long day or bringing friends and co-workers by, it always felt like the place to be. Housekeeping was excellent throughout my stay—consistent, respectful of my schedule, and always keeping things spotless. I didn’t require major maintenance during my time there, but anytime I had a request, the team responded promptly and professionally. Location-wise, the hotel is in a sweet spot: close enough to downtown to be convenient, but just far enough on the edge to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed environment. A free shuttle is also available to downtown and back. It made getting around Asheville and hopping on the highway easy and stress-free. Of course, over a five-month stay, small issues can pop up, usually on my end but every time, the staff handled it quickly and with care. That level of consistency is rare, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Leaving wasn’t easy. After months of being greeted with smiles and treated like family, it was hard to say goodbye. I’ll genuinely miss everyone there and look forward to the day I can return. Y'all know who this is and I will be back. Thank you all for making my stay so memorable.

• Jessica (10/5): - Located in a great area close to downtown Asheville. The room was clean. The shuttle was an added service-huge thanks to the friendly driver, Lauren! All employees were informative and friendly. The maintenance worker even shared treats with our dog. Highly suggest staying here. Help Asheville out!

• Mary (6/5): - Nice amenities and walkable to downtown. Parking $15 a night but easy to park. Main issue is water pressure was awful in the shower. Very soft and slow. Pillows not great either. Otherwise fine.

• Jennifer (10/5): - Very convenient walking distance into downtown Asheville, with generously sized rooms and a hip rooftop bar that seems to be a favorite with the local crowd.
