Guest Reviews
- Emily (8/5): - We loved the location as was quieter than Fira, but still walkable. Lots of lovely drinks/food spots near by.
- Meyahueltzin (10/5): - The front desk lady was very kind and helpful. The gentleman was very kind too but when we brought up a commnet on the hygiene of the hot tub, he didnt seem very concern. The hot tub had way too much chlorine and some chemichals that were turning my skin and hair green. When this concern was made, he simply said that we shouldn't be diving in the hot tub. Issue was corrected, but we felt dismissed.
- Candace (10/5): - Nikki and Maria were both so good to my Wife and I. From setting up transportation to and from the airport, setting up our buggy rental, and giving us plenty of tips for around the island. The room itself was amazing, view is out of this world, and it doesn’t hurt to have a private hot tub right outside your room. 10/10 would stay here again! Thank you to the staff at Aura for helping make our visit enjoyable and memorable.
- RACHEL (10/5): - The property was amazing and I would book here again. No amount of looking at the pictures will prepare you for how stunning the view is, and we spent a good amount of time in the hot tub on our balcony watching the sunrise and set.
The room was very comfortable and had extras such as coffee, ironing board and hair dryer with diffuser. The bathroom and dual shower was great.
The location was quiet but only a 10 minute walk into Fira where there are many shops, restaurants and the central bus station to access the rest of the island.
Lots of places to eat too just outside the hotel if you don’t want to walk too far. Sushi, gyros, ice cream.
We did the caldera walk to Oia and back as the accomodation is located on the walking path. This provides some of the best views of Santorini and it took us 2-3 hours each way but do bring hiking footwear if you plan to do this.
The staff were so friendly and offered to help us arrange any transfers of trips we needed as part of our stay. They also allowed us to store our luggage after checkout so we could make the most of our last few hours on the island.
Honestly, if you’re debating staying here hurry and make your booking! 😊
- John Joseph (10/5): - Very centrally located in Fira. Very walk-able with lots of restaurants nearby. Only a 20 minute walk to downtown shops, but with the ocean view on the right side, you don't even notice the walk. While it had a hat tub/sauna on our patio, the only that would have made it perfect was if there were a pool. Other than that, no complaints. Staff was very helpful and friendly!
- Tameka (10/5): Best In Santorini!!! - Aura is the perfect stay in Santorini. The service, location and vibe is EVERYTHING!!!
- Sara (10/5): - Clean modern room, much bigger than what it looks like on the picture. The staff are lovely, attentive but not overbearing. You are 10 min away from Fira square and there are s
- Vicky (10/5): - This was our favorite stay in Greece—we absolutely loved it! The views were stunning, the amenities excellent, and the staff incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely worth it, and the area is much less crowded than Oia.
- Shaan (10/5): - Great stay. Hot tub not temperature adjustable but it was still a great experience with amazing service and views
- Meseil (10/5): - Thank you so much we really enjoyed our stay at Aura Suites! Highly recommended and Will be coming back!
- Ana (10/5): - Thank you to Nikita and Maria, they were really helpful and professional. The location is great, not in a crowded area and there are many restaurants options around. The hot pub was a plus, we really enjoyed it together with the sunset view. The room is spacious and the bathroom was nice and clean. The room has got air conditioning, a mini fridge with complementary water on arrival and a Nespresso machine.
The only con was the mattress as is quite soft.
- Jenna (8/5): - I liked everything about this property and wish I could give it 5 stars but I noticed mold on the ceiling in the bathroom
- Kurtis (8/5): - Great dining options and beautiful views
- Stephen Ralph (10/5): - We had a late flight and they held onto our bags after checkout time while we spent the day in Fira. Then arranged for transportation to the airport. Service was great the whole stay.
- Daliyah (6/5): - It was a beautiful property but my key didnt work and they didn't have anyone in there office over night so i stayed outside for 8 hours until someome came
- August (2/5): - SCAM. Do NOT book the Honeymoon Suite! It is falsely advertised.
This room costs more than the other rooms and has a half obscured view and is under the staircase where people/staff go up and down to access the other rooms - making it also less private. The view is cut off from the staircase and wall and there is a large shade cabana blocking what is left of the view.
The room next to ours had a perfect view - the one we were expecting.
At check in I asked if there were any other rooms available and the front desk lady said we had to email to the manager. We emailed the manager and she would not answer my question if there was another room available and completely stopped responding to my emails. There is either another ‘honeymoon suite’ or the photos are from other suites. She would not confirm.
This specific room (#6) should be specifically advertised that it has an obstructed view and discounted. I cannot believe that we paid more for this room with the worst view and least privacy for our actual honeymoon. This was very disappointing.
Also as a side note on the lack of privacy. Someone comes to clean the hot tub every morning. And it does not matter if you are sitting out on the small patio or not. He will take 10 minutes to clean it while you are sitting there rather than coming back later.
- Chan Wook (10/5): - Thanks for the great memories.
- Justine (2/5): ⚠️ À fuir absolument – expérience dangereuse. -
- Kshitij (10/5): - Great Property. The hotel has some great views and the room was very nice. The staff were helpful and it is close to everywhere you would want to visit.
- Michelle Elaine (10/5): - If I could give the Aura more than 6 stars I would! It was a 10 out of 10! The room was beautiful and contemporary, the view was out of this world, the location was perfect was a lot of shops and things to do. The location very walkable to Fira with everything you need. Lastly, I have ti give very high praise to Katherina and Maria their customer service was top notch. They answered all my questions prior to my arrival and once we arrived very helpful with things to do and eat. Loved it, we hated to leave and would stay there again in a heartbeat ❤️
- Kanisha (10/5): - I really loved my stay at this property more so because the front desk lady Catherine/Catarina was so accommodating. I was traveling by myself and she took care of me from start to finish from booking my excursions to making sure I had a car service she just went above and beyond to make sure my stay Was extremely comfortable. The units at this property were perfect as well. I had everything I needed was adorable and clean. I love that we had Personal hot tubs with every room facing a beautiful sunset. This hotel is also walking distance to all the action restaurants, shops, and nightlife was literally a five minute walk away and again I was by myself, and I felt extremely safe. I would definitely stay here again. In fact I’m looking for availability in my schedule to plan to go back. It was extremely peaceful.
- Matthew (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room and bathroom were both clean and modern and has everything you need. The best bit by far was the view, made even more enjoyable from a private hot tub 10/10.
- María (10/5): - I love this place
- David (10/5): - Nice
- Treavor (10/5): - We couldn’t have picked a better spot to stay in Santorini. It has everything you need right there and in two mins walking distance. Our tours picked us up literally a min from the hotel. It was also quiet at night which is a plus. I have no complaints. I would come here again in a heart beat.
- Tricia (10/5): - Loved the view
- Adrian (10/5): Honeymoon accommodation of a lifetime - Excellent accommodation. Top quality, quite area, great jacuzzi. Super friendly staff. Very sad to have to check out! Would highly recommend
- Hannah (10/5): - Unbelievably gorgeous view and friendly, helpful staff. Would come back in a heartbeat!
- tameka (10/5): - My 2nd stay at Aura was just like the 1st. Wonderful!!! Can’t beat the views and the easy access of Fira and all of its attractions. Staff were very polite and accommodated our every need. I will be back a 3rd time
- Sajida (10/5): - Amazing stay, brilliant location, friendly and welcoming staff on site and breathtaking views!
- Chaplain (10/5): - We had a great time.
- Gianverly (10/5): - Overall experience and excelent service. The view is really amazing, perfect spot to see the sunset.
- Lorayne (10/5): - Faultless clean, amazing views and polite receptionist.
Cheguei a ficar semi-nua e elas continuaram no quarto.
- Ana P (10/5): - Espetacular! Em todos os sentidos.
- Katherine (6/5): Honeymoon Rm #6 with obstructed view, disappointed - My husband and I were traveling with friends for my birthday and in total we booked 4 rooms. Before arrival there was no communication before check in. We were dropped off by the church at the top of the hill and had to ask the cab drivers how to find our hotel. It was just a little ways down the hill from the church. We were checking in with the young receptionist and she informed us there was no one to help us with luggage, so be prepared to carry your luggage up and down some steep stairs. The receptionist took us to our “Honeymoon suite” and we were so disappointed by the obstructive view next to the stairs that we received. She said there was nothing she could do to switch out our room and said our only option would be to switch a room with one of our friends, how unfair would that be to them? We said we wanted to speak to a manager, there was not one on site so she called him for us. My husband spoke to him and he claimed it was the same view from all of the rooms, he said “just stand up on your patio and it’s the same view.” He ended up getting nasty on the phone with my my husband. This is not at all what we were picturing when we purchased an upgraded room in Santorini, envisioning spending most of our time in our plunge pool, relaxing just overlooking the caldera. We were extremely upset with the lack of service and disrespect by the manager. We asked to talk directly to the manager 3x during our 4 night stay but they never showed up. No compensation was offered
- Stacey (6/5): Worth a stay, but don’t get a suite unless…. - Rooms are overall beautiful and location was great!
That said, I was quite disappointed with the management during my stay. My friends room (Room 6) was advertised as a full-view honeymoon suite, but it had an obstructed view due to a pergola and a wall. Interestingly, the room next door was perfect, and our other friend stayed there. We had booked four rooms for five nights, and when we asked for an accommodation , they only offered that we could switch rooms around within our group (which actually proved difficult to do in their system). The management acted as if it was the same experience. They avoided speaking to us in person and were unhelpful. Considering the false advertising, it was frustrating that they charged the same amount. Perhaps a 10% discount would have been fair, but unfortunately, they refused to accommodate any changes. Surprisingly, my non-honeymoon suite, regular room was less expensive and had a gorgeous, much better bathroom and view.
- Salvatore (8/5): - Posizione e vista incredibili
- Thomas (10/5): - Amazing views!
Lovely spacious room with a small outside area.
Perfect location for being away from the busiest parts of Fira but still only a short 10-15 minutes walk away. Still plenty of nice restaurants and bars within a stones throw.
- Gareth (10/5): - New property in a stunning location with amazing sunset views.
Very friendly and helpful staff and great location near restaurants, bars and the start of the walk to Oia.
No need to go elsewhere during sunset. Sit in the hot tub with drinks from the local supermarket and you're sorted.
Great place to stay in Santorini.
- Chetan (10/5): - Beautiful sunset views from the balcony. Very friendly staff. There are some good restaurants near the property. Fira is walking distance.
- Amanda (10/5): - An amazing stay. Rooms are newly renovated and spotless. Very conveniently located with an easy walk to either Fira or Imerovigil. Jacuzzi overlooks the caldera. Small hotel with only 10 rooms so feels private. Highly recommend.
- Jesus (10/5): - Amazing hotel!! Amazing experience!!
- Björn (10/5): - ….
- Mirely r ramirez (10/5): - Great services, breathtaking view, love everything.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Lovely employees, great service, great view, very clean, and modern. Everything is walking distance. I would recommend this hotel and I would definitely come back here !
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful place and wonderful view of beautiful sea and sunsets. Treated us like royalty. Was sad to leave.
- Brian (10/5): - Hostess was very helpful! Views are exactly as presented. Very clean and comfortable.
- Sandra (10/5): Everything was perfect - Super fantastic. Reception was warm, welcoming and helpful. All our questions about where to eat, what to see and even what to avoid were all eagerly answered. The gentleman who carried our very heavy bags up and down those steps was truly amazing. 45 pounds on his shoulder! He gets his weight workout in!
- Verified traveler (10/5): The Best of Santorini!! - Keeble and I had a marvelous time at Aura Suites. The view was spectacular and right in the heart of Santorini fine dining and great shopping! We ate, we swam, we hiked and we had the best time of our lives!!!
- Jeff (10/5): - Absolute immaculate perfection! Our stay at Aura was a dream! Gorgeous suite with the best view one could ask for in Santorini! The cool tub on the private terrace was a welcome refresher for the hot afternoons! A superb addition to our days so that we could enjoy the caldera in the hot of the days! Around 33 degrees I think, useable in the warm evenings as well. Rooms made up every day, and hostess was absolutely wonderful! Location is lovely with so many amazing restaurants and a little supermarket right around the corner only steps away.
There is no better place to stay in Santorini!
- Mark (10/5): - Absolutely amazing place!!! We have just spent a week at Aura Suites and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations! There are 10 suites in total, all with hot tubs and the most amazing view of sea and the sunset. There is a little room/office where Zoe is located to help with check in etc and you Do Not have to walk through a cafe to get to your room as a previous review mentioned. There is a lovely tavern that has some table and chairs in the little cobbled street overlooking the sunset but it is not actually walking inside a building, it is part of the street where everyone walks through. We felt that the location was better than being in Thira and Oia as it was less busy but there are also enough amazing restaurants right on the doorstep, including Mama Thera and Romantica Tavern. We hired an ATV to explore and came to the conclusion that we by far had the most amazing location and view that we could ask for! Sitting in the hot tub each night watching the sunset was stunning! You can also order breakfast, food and drink from Capers from your phone, using the menu in your room, which comes in takeaway boxes and is a nice option, if you just want to chill. Zoe and the rest of the team are all amazing. Zoe will arrange trips etc or advise on the best options, whatever your requirements and the hot tubs are maintained constantly, as is the cleaning of the new and stylish suites. We would 100 percent return to Aura Suites, if we were to return to Santorini.
- patricia (4/5): - The location was good along the cliffs and water. It was hard to reach the agent for instructions to get into the room on arrival. There was no pool on premises, which I prefer to their tiny hot tub which was Not hot. Men worked on the hot tub the day we were there, and when we got in it was filthy with slime. I would Not go back to this place again.
- JASON (6/5): - Confusing property. The property lists “no lobby”enforcing a specific check in / out time, however the host was on site all the time in a room that operated like a lobby. This part was confusing. But overall, the rooms are clean, the view is nice but the staff could do better. Upon arrival, the baggage handler/cleaning man was rude. We had to charm him to be nice to us. Eventually we became friends. The location was hard to find considering the language barrier and Greek formation of addresses on maps. At check out, I had an a negative encounter m with the hostess mentioned. She approached me about additional taxes after all had been paid, which was not a problem - even though she failed to mention this at check in. Since I had lost my card on the trip, I kindly asked for her to send an authorization form to use my card electronically. I assume she thought I was lying and things escalated. The hostess and manager because very rude and unprofessional. I’m most certain I’m not welcomed back here. I won’t be recommending them to anyone.
- Julia (10/5): - Highly recommended. We stayed 4 nights. Brand new accommodations! Stylish, top quality towels and linens. The staff (especially Zoe) was very friendly and helpful. We felt at home. The private jacuzzi was a special treat for the sunset. No need to go to Oia and over pay. The sunset is fabulous right from your balcony. Included in room is coffee and mini fridge stocked with complimentary cold bottled water each day.
Short walk to great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed Galini for breakfast, Vallas Cafe for a cold afternoon beer and breakfast, and ate twice at Volkan Pizza (also amazing sunset). Nice dinners at Aktaion (nice half liter of barrel wine for 7 euro!) and smoked octopus at Onar.
Zoe also booked a caldera yachting tour which was amazing!
- Jean (10/5): Amazing - Fantastic spot with amazing views. Hot tub was great for chilling and watching the perfect sunset. Plenty of quality restaurants close by. Nice coastal walk into First if needed. Lovely host too.
- Yerwant (10/5): - The most amazing view In Santorini from our suite terrace.
The location was perfect, close to everything and the staff was super friendly.
- Rosa (10/5): Very satisfied - The room was clean and spacious , very modern with a grata view
Geschäfte in unmittelbarer nähe.
Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert👍
- Daph (8/5): - Incredible location with very firendly and accomodating staff. The view was breath taking and so close to so many great eats! Room was very spacious and suprisingly comfy beds! Owe them a good nights sleep! Only issues was the air conditioning didnt seem to cool the room. However just opening the door let in this amazing cool breeze. Incredible experience overall
- Spencer (10/5): Great private hotel - Great hotel, only two rooms, free breakfast every morning. A nice warm/hot pool out on the deck was perfect for all times of the day. Bed was softer than all I’ve experienced in Europe and Bathroom was about 3x the size of European bathrooms. The pictures don’t do the view justice. Would recommend to anyone. Rigas was amazing during our stay too. Booked a boat trip and all the shuttles to and from airport
- Verified traveler (8/5): - great experience, hotel had awesome views and was comfy and had a good spa. Just didn't like the intimidating the restraunt welcomer caused to my fiance and myself. We would walk past him atleast 3 times a day as you have to walk up the stairs past the restaurant to access the city and he was so rude when we said we didn't want to eat there. Other then that moron it was a very pleasant stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent hotel location - between Fira and Imerovigli. Beautiful sunsets. Great breakfast included at Golden Sunset Café.
- Alex (10/5): B & B in a good location - Clean rooms, Great Caldera view, Breakfast was awesome,Restaurant server Eddie was friendly, Rigas was very helpful, over all we enjoy our stay. If you don't mind going thru the restaurant to rooms, which didn't bother to us, also not having a front desk, will be a nice place for vacation stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing views in Santorini - The location of the hotel is perfect - just a 10 min walk from Fira and also close to the bus stop/area to catch a taxi wherever your heart desires on the island. So many amazing restaurants close by. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze and they were nice enough to hold our baggage for the day until we departed for the airport. You won't get sick of the free breakfast - there are endless options! When our jacuzzi went cold one day, it was fixed by later that afternoon - amazing service. Book at Aura suites and you won't be disappointed!
- Lidia (8/5): Indimenticabile Santorini - Simao stati benissimo.
