Guest Reviews
- Karen (8/5): Quaint x - Beautiful little find x
- Mark (9/5): Perfect for a short stay. - Everything you could possibly want. It even has a lovely outdoor sitting area. The room was comfortable but a little on the small side but still absolutely fine.
It might get hot in the middle of summer because there’s No A/C but I am just guessing?
- katy (10/5): Loved the location and easy to check in - Cosy room
- Clare (8/5): Lovely, great instructions to access the property. Lovely room, just a tad small - Location was excellent Room was lovely, clean, nice bathroom but quite small, no where to really put anything.
- Simon (9/5): Very enjoyable - Breakfast on site was good. Staff v helpful and courteous Parking the car is an issue as The Priory is on Burford's High Street.
- shaun (10/5): - Everything
- Dave (9/5): Parking and issue - Very clean room small but adequate for a short stay could do with a better seat in the room Parking can be an issue as Burford is a very busy place
- Steve (10/5): - Great Location, clean, modern tidy accomodation.
- Clara (9/5): -
- Browning (10/5): Great place have stayed a few times and will stay again - Lovely place half the price of the Travelodge 300yds away on a Saturday Room maybe a bit on the small side but thats just being really picky
- William (10/5): Really nice, comfortable place to stay in a great location -
- Mark (8/5): Great value for such a fab location - Fab location, and the service was excellent, property very clean and tidy and the outside court yard area a good addition, out of hours access very simple Room was tight it needed space for a chair and in my view it needed a side table on both sides of the bed
- Michele (10/5): Would for sure stay here again. - Newly remodeled in a quaint setting.
- Grant (10/5): - Checking in and out was dead easy. There's staff there if you need them but you can essentially pick up your key and let yourself in and leave your key in the designated place in the way out. No queuing and waiting for people to do any paperwork.
- Paul (9/5): Very convenient for all the lovely tourist attractions - Easy check-in. Fab location. Outside seating area a bonus Would have preferred a chair to sit on rather than a stool. Heating came on late and it was very difficult to read the dials and control panel as the bed extremely close to radiator plus due to my mobility this didn’t help the matter It had been a very hot day so we were surprised to find the heating on but eventually managed to turn it right down. Also would have preferred a lighter quilt
- Chafekar (10/5): You’re close to everything here and the tea room itself was perfect for breakfast. I’d highly recommend staying here as - We stayed in a really cute room at the back of the property. It was tiny, but cosy and serviceable for one night. They’ve got it set up with a lovely courtyard area and everything is quite fresh and newly constructed.

- Helen (10/5): Lovely, friendly getaway - In the heart of burford, close to visit family and friends in Witney. Beautiful clean, fresh room with everything you could need. Towels changed daily along with room cleaned. Tearoom on site which did fabulous breakfasts in the mornings if you wanted to eat there. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff, a real jewel which we will definitely be using again.
- Samantha (10/5): A cute stay - A cute, quaint little establishment in the most perfect location. We had a great stay and loved Burford as a base. The breakfast was lovely too and would definitely choose priory tearooms to stay again. Small but fit for purpose
- Jane (10/5): -
- Alison (10/5): Fabulous place to stay, great value for money . We have stayed before and will definitely stay there again. - Really clean, staff were friendly, perfect location and great facilities. It had everything we needed for a short break. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like,
- Linda (10/5): You must visit, just fab. - The quality of towels and bedding, the quality of the mattress, was all excellent. Iron/board, teas/coffee and both semi skimmed and full fat uht all great. Loved our stay. It’s been said before 1) a print out map of where you can/can’t park 2) shelf in shower cabinet would work a treat. Wouldn’t stop me staying here again tho. Loved the trust from staff too.
- sarah (9/5): Really nice place and friendly staff. Location also perfect. A lovely stay all in all - Location. Friendliness of staff. Lovely, clean, modern rooms. Fabulous breakfast in the tea rooms with discount for ‘residents’ We found the room very hot and tried to adjust the heating. We opened windows but also found the quilt a bit hot for us. Maybe a spare sheet in case of finding it a bit too warm. We were in room 3 with windows to the side and the blinds allowed in a lot of light. Maybe a blackout blind?
- Nicholas (10/5): Perfect. - Lovely and cosy room, really warm and the Tea Room breakfast was lovely. Nothing
- Julie (8/5): A great location in Burford. Affordable accommodation. Very clean and tidy, comfortable bed. - Great location
- Peggie (10/5): -
- Middleton (10/5): Great accommodation in a beautiful location. - Justin was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and modern, with all the necessary facilities, and the breakfast in the adjoining tea room was delicious! Very central for exploring all the delights of the Cotswolds. Nothing! All good
- Sanae (7/5): -
- Natalie (9/5): Fanatics little gem of a property, clean, friendly - Quiet, clean and friendly, great location Nothing
- Josephine (9/5): Great location, clean and simple. - Great location, clean and simple. No negative feedback

- Tony (10/5): - A lovely place to stay, with tea room in a beautiful location with plenty to do and places to eat and drink. Clean, modern room and a very comfortable bed. Nice to have an iron, ironing board and hair dryer in the room and lovely seating/ garden area available to use. Excellent value for money. It was a shame breakfast wasn't available until 9:30, when the tea room opened. However there are other places locally to eat if breakfast needed earlier.
- Lorna (9/5): Perfect place for a weekend break - Central to town
- Ann (9/5): Great location for seeing Burford and Clarkson’s farm and pub. Clean snd comfortable - Contemporary clean comfortable en-suite room. Great location in Burford. Easy to get to the Farmer’s Dog pub which was the purpose of our stay. 20% discount on breakfast in tea rooms. Very compact accommodation. This didn’t matter for one nights stay. Maybe too small for a longer stay. I would have liked a continental style option on breakfast choices.
- Helena (10/5): Comfortable bed!! All that matters:)) - The comfortable bed!!! Rooms set in a beautiful, quiet courtyard…with lots of seating outside for the warm, sunny weather.
Tea/cofffee facilities. Wet-room toilet/shower. Shower gel and hand soap provided. Wardrobe, ironing board, iron and hairdryer also provided. TV with free channels and streaming if you prefer. WiFi good signal throughout.
The room is small and warm…but the best things come in small packages:)) Perfect for our requirements. We managed to park on the road which is free from 6pm?-8:30 with a two hour unpaid park between those times. Checkout is 10:30am so worked perfectly again for us.
Lovely breakfast with 20% discount for residents.
All in all, great value for money and a fab location in a lovely Cotswold village.

- Richard (9/5): - Great place for overnight stay
- Abbie (10/5): -

- Lozmeister (7/5): Small but clean room in a beautiful location, be mindful of parking - Clear instructions were provided for checking, so obtaining the code and keys was simple.
The room was clean and provided you with the essentials - there is a little garden set up with chairs etc which i'm sure on warmer day, it would be nice for a morning coffee
Location, is perfect! It needs to be made clear how bad the parking is, i spent over an hr trying to get somewhere. The main carpark is also known for flooding, which was something that could have been mentioned. It would pay to either get there really early or teatime when day trippers have gone.
The room was tiny and the walls are really thin, so could hear the neighbours going to the toilet... not ideal
- Marcus (10/5): Great location ideal setting - Great location and perfect sized rooms containing everything you’d need for a comfortable stay
- Keturah (8/5): Overall, a lovely stay with pleasant staff. - Burford is a lovely spot and we enjoyed staying in this area.
The Priory Tea Rooms was a really good choice of accomodation as the rooms were small but clean and we appreciated that the room was made up everyday. The bed is quite small (think its a double). Let's just say 'cosy'.
The shower is very compact. I think some people would have difficulty getting in/out.
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay very clean and compact, your situated at the back so no noise from busy highstreet, discount at breakfast which is amazing value for money 😀 owners really friendly put you at ease ,everything you need ,loverly place. Nothing
- Anne (10/5): Great location - Great location
- Diane (9/5): -
- Megan (9/5): Pleasant Stay - Room was just what you need for a short stay. Clean and comfortable. Double bed and private bathroom, with a small wardrobe, iron & ironing board, tea & coffee facilities and tv. Side entrance to use throughout the day and night which was perfect.
Perfect location in Burford. We stayed here as we were going to The Farmers Dog, which is only about 7 minutes drive away - however, not easy to get a taxi. Lots of cafes, pubs and shops.
Only spoke to a member of staff once but pleasant conversation. Locals are also nice and friendly. We didn't eat here but food looked and smelt delicious.
Would stay here again! There is a green 'exit' sign that is constantly lit which is quite bright, but safety first so not a massive issue.
- Katherine (10/5): Absolutely lovely brilliant price! Will stay again! - Absolutely spotless room and a very comfortable bed! Easy to get to / find even though it is tucked away . Stayed here to go to diddly squat & farmers dog both just short drive away We couldn’t figure out how to turn our radiator down as was a tad to warm - we read instructions but still didn’t succeed
- Mackenzie (10/5): - Really convenient and comfortable
- Cole (6/5): Ok if we had been allocated rooms 4 and 5 - Staff were lovely and let us check in early, and the location was great. Room very clean. We were in room 1 which was attached to the cafe kitchen so the noise from the equipment (sounded like a generator) was not good especially in the morning. The room was also opposite what looked like a 2 storey house on the grounds and the outside light from that property kept coming on during the night and because there were only thin blinds at our window it kept waking us up, along with the bright green fire exit above the walkway inside the room itself. If we had rooms 4 or 5 at bottom of the courtyard it would have been better except for the green exit sign in the bedroom area.
- Nicky (8/5): Great location, quick & easy check in & out - Good location & very clean Would have been nice to have a hook to hang a long coat on. Would have been nice to have an early breakfast in the tearooms but they didn’t open till 9.30
- Jane (8/5): Perfect for a short stay - It was central location and had all what we needed for a 1 night stay
- Rebecca (10/5): We will return ! That’s the best compliment . - Amazing full English our American grandsons were SO happy!
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Lindsey (10/5): Highly recommend - Very pleasant stay. Staff were super helpful and went out of their way to assist.
- Mary (9/5): Just the break I needed. Thank you! - Location very convenient. I would have liked a chair in the room.
- Bernadette (10/5): Excellent stay will be back! - Excellent customer service and fabulous breakfast with discount fir staying there. We left our code fir getting in later aswell-my fault but it was kindly sorted by a staff member! Will be returning! Nothing
- Alexandra (10/5): - Brilliant location, will recommend and I'll be back

- martin (9/5): Only stayed 1 night , but was everything I thought it would be - Very quaint , you would never guess there were bedrooms at the back. Nothing springs to mind
- Alice (10/5): -
- Kate (9/5): - It was an amazing stay, the rooms are amazing, tea rooms are beautiful and Burford is a lovely little village. Just a personal thing, I found the bed quite hard, but I appreciate everyone might prefer that.

- Caroline (7/5): Brilliant location - Brilliant location and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable, very quiet overnight, enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast in the tearoom. Room was pretty small (fine for a 1 night stay). There was a bright overhead light in the room (looked like a fire exit light) which you couldn’t turn off, which made it quite bright at night-time.
- Jane (10/5): In the heart of the Cotswolds - Well located
- Carol (10/5): -
- JOANNA (10/5): Highly recommend - Loved this place. Beautiful town, great accommodation, great staff and lovely food in the tea room. Highly recommend. Being extremely picky, Coat hooks by the door and a shelf in the shower would be a helpful addition .
- Anita (7/5): Good location in Burford but smaller than expected. - Breakfast not included in price.Cost £13.50 per person Small room .
Shower leaked onto bathroom floor (not in cubicle)which was wet .
- David (9/5): Enjoyable experience - Very convenient. Immaculate and ideal location Foyt our purpose. Nothing
- Paul (8/5): - Location was great. All good
- Robert (9/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): Amazing time in Burford and the property was exceptional. - Location is perfect, access is easy and the whole experience was magical. N/a
- Kate (6/5): - Fab location, small rooms but had everything you need. Breakfast was great and staff were lovely. A4 paper signs stuck to doors - information could have been in a welcome pack. Needs a small shelf or unit for the tea/coffee facilities, we made tea on the floor.
