- arielled231 (10/5): Helpful staff - My son stayed at this hotel with his school. I wanted to send a thank you gift to some chaperones and I contacted the hotel. I spoke to Roxanna and she walked me through how I could send something to the chaperones and then went out of her way to reach out to me to let me know that my delivery had been put in their rooms without me asking. It was very nice of her and she was friendly and pleasant to work with.

Breakfast was super busy but offered good options, having the expected scrambled eggs and sausage and waffles, but also having some mini scones with the bread. The helpful front desk staff member was great about offering information that all the restaurants we could walk to from the hotel were good choices for dinner. We didn't want to get back in the car after the long drive, and the building next door had two restaurants. We ended up at The Casual Pint which had good sandwiches and a bunch of different craft beers. The hotel also later sent me a text to ask how the stay was going. This was super. I asked for some advice on the best way for us to get to the National Mall to see the sights, and I was told "a team member will be with you shortly." Hotel staff member Rosana was fantastic about answering my questions. She advised the closest metro station was East Falls Church and that we could take the metro to the Smithsonian stop. She helped make our stay in the DC area a really good one. Thank you!! All was great except the beds were too soft for us and caused some back pain. Additionally the bed linens were too warm to allow us a good night's sleep. We turned down the AC to make the room cooler, but we were either roasting under the blanket or chilly using just the sheet, so none of us slept well. We use natural fiber light cotton or wool or light-fill down blankets at home, and we missed them during this trip.

We booked a double queen size beds room hoping will bigger space than our previous single bed room but no, the bathroom is half the size of the single room. Also, bathroom wasn’t cleaned well, I saw some “disgusting dark/brown spots/ residues on the wall next to the toilet. The shower was kinda older than the room we had last time, with shower curtain instead of glass door. The TV wasn’t working, the fridge was on but not cold… This was our first time we took our baby on vacation and was planning for her to experience the pool for the 1st time but the pool was out. The whole experience was very disappointed.

We have stayed at this location many times. And enjoy it. When we arrived we were told they were having issues with the hot water and that it would be fixed in a couple hours. When we awoke the next day to get showers to start our day there was still no hot water. Also there was a sign that the pool was closed from October thru January which we were not aware of.

- TonyaElarms (3/5): Overall, our stay was ok, a few issues kept it from being enjoyable. - The room was very clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the television was large and easy to watch. I also appreciated that the staff accommodated us with another room, as there was an event with a large number of college students. Our stay had a few challenges. Unfortunately, we were without hot water for two days during 50–60 degree weather, which made it too cold to shower comfortably. The breakfast was average — the potatoes were served cold, and the eggs contained cheese. When I asked if there were any without cheese, I was told there weren’t any available.
- W8268HNnancyh (6/5): NO POOL! Didn't meet expectations!! - If you're looking for a swimming pool, it's "out of order." When we arrived at 6:00 pm on 10/29/2025 there wasn't anyone to check us in, after an extended wait, I picked up their phone and dialed for assistance, no answer. Because nobody was around, I decided to check out the pool that was right around the corner from the front desk and found a sign that said "We're sorry for the inconvenience. Temporarily out of order October 28, 2025--January 31, 2026." NOT HAPPY! We had driven from Wisconsin with our 12-year-old grandson to find out that we won't have a pool. There are 3 things I always look for in a hotel, and they are good guest ratings, safe location & a pool. When the front desk person finally got to the desk, I inquired about this and he said "sorry, but it's out of order." I asked what was wrong with it (it looked perfectly fine) and he said that he didn't know. He told me that if I didn't prepay, I could cancel or they could give me a discount. I spoke with my husband, and we decided that we'd take the refund because all we wanted to do was unload, unpack & relax. I went back and told the clerk that we'd take the discount, and their idea of a discount was free parking ($10/day @ 5 days) & $20.00 off our first night. I was too tired to argue, and I responded with "whatever" in an unpleasant tone. I never would've chosen this hotel had I know we wouldn't have a pool. PERIOD! The room? small for 4 people, but oh well. The bathroom and closed share a sliding door, and there's no lock. The bathroom has a vent in the ceiling, but nothing to turn it on with. If you own slippers, bring them, as the carpet could use a good cleaning. Pros: The breakfast was hot, and decent (the waffles were EXCELLENT)! They keep the lobby, dining area and hallways nice & neat. The area definitely felt safe, and it's within close proximity to almost everything you could imagine. I believe the Metro was 1 mile from there. In conclusion, our overall experience wasn't about the hotel, but about the memories made with our grandson, and our youngest who is stationed nearby, but we wouldn't choose this place again, pool or not. LAST MINUTE ADD-IN: I just realized that we weren't given our discount. I wasn't able to view our invoice on my phone (all the words were one on top of another) and decided that maybe I should look it over while I'm on my laptop, and I'm so glad I did. My total stay amount when I booked was $944.50. The amount charged to our card was $931.41.

Still issues with AC. Why is this so hard? Checked in about 3:45. AC set on 66 but temp reading was 74. Laid down for a nap and got up at 5. Temp reading at 75. FFS. Not much around in regards to restaurants etc. Seems like a pretty safe neighborhood all things considered

- kormanikg (8/5): Solid place to stay near DC - We booked two rooms in August at this hotel and were pleased with the customer service, cleanliness, staff availability, and breakfast options. The hotel is conveniently located near the East Falls Metro Station and major highways. The kiddos enjoyed the pool and the fitness room was well-equipped. I recommend for a fun family DC trip.

- Essie (8/5): - I thought I booked a room with a king size bed and a sofa. No sofa. I was also surprised to find a tub rather than a walk in shower. Happily there were several bars.

The plumbing thing should be fixed and hand soap and lotion holder was coming out. We were in 8th floor room 18. All over it’s a very nice hotel. I loved it. I am a Hampton inn fan and I will remain like that.

We stayed there for 5 days ( we didnt see her today) Bet 7/5-7/9 breakfast hours, she never greet us, she is slamming everything ( cabinet, serving spoons etc) like she dont want us to eat ( which we paid for it) she look mad and not a single day that she did show customer service approach. Someone dropped something and she said “omg! “ And talk to someone in their language ( not English, sounds like hispanic/puerto Rican) On our first day, I asked assistance on the pancake dispenser and she sounded irritated and mad. We never enjoyed our breakfast due to her , she watches us when we are grabbing food with no emotions. The rest were great! Front desk were awesome and accommodating esp the Day shifts staff.

- Gurpreet (10/5): - We had a fantastic time staying at the Hampton Inn in Falls Church. First off the hotel is located in a very convenient location and is 20 minutes from downtown Washington DC. The hotel was clean and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming during each interaction. The complementary breakfast had many options which changed daily. They have a large pool and a fitness facility as well. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Washington DC to come stay at this hotel as it offers a convenient location and excellent service
