• john (10/5): - Spotlessly clean and changed every day. The view from the 3rd floor balcony was incredible. (be aware that there is no lift but the stairs were easy -I am 80 years old and had no trouble ) Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good restaurants in easy walking distance. No complaints at all.

• Jean-Rémi (9/5): Un hôtel simple et très bien tenu, comme on les aime - Un hôtel familial impeccablement tenu (quelle propreté!), face à la mer et à la belle promenade, à moins de dix minutes à pied du centre ou de la gare routière, avec tout ce qu'il faut de commerces et de lieux de restauration. Pour se baigner, des serviettes de bain et la simple traversée de la rue. Rapport qualité-prix imbattable. Notre chambre donnait sur cour donc plus calme (mais sans la vue).

• Kim (10/5): Perfect location with breathtaking views - The location was perfect: short walk from the center, market next door and also balery close by and swimming place just accross the street. The street had also free parking. Staff was really helpfull and friendly every time we saw them. Room was very idyllic greek romantisism, but still very clean and with new bathroom facilities. The ocean view from our balcony was really something! The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. Can’t think of anything bad about the place.

Le petit plus, prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse face à la mer est inoubliable. Le propriétaire est d'une gentillesse incroyable et de bons conseils pour les visites alentours. A recommander sans hésiter. l'hôtel de possède pas d'ascenseur, il faut monter les bagages à la main. Heureusement, le propriétaire nous aide.

Thank you very much to Stavros and Victoria for your help and looking after us. Being able to borrow beach towels was great and we spent a few days on the nearby beach. Plenty of good restaurants and everyone we met was very kind and helpful.

Lovely little touches like cake and wine being left in the fridge. Location was perfect, amazing sea view and close to all amenities, with some lovely restaurants a few doors away. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you 😃

• Biruta (10/5): I highly recommend this nice, cozy hotel. - First of all, I was met at night by a very kind man. He contacted me by phone because I was late (the flight was two hours late). He had left a place for me to park my car. The kindness overflowed. Secondly, the room was clean. There was a small fridge, kettle, soap, shampoo, wet wipes, lots of hangers in the closet. Balcony, clean surroundings. very spacious and comfortable bed. All the staff were very responsive and kind. I will definitely return to this hotel. I felt like home. There should be a sign on the door stating when the room should and should not be cleaned. I can't think of any other negatives.

• andrew (10/5): Perfect accommodation - Very clean , smart, spacious modern room with amazing views over the bay. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful particularly with sorting available parking outside the hotel. Bottles of water on arrival and then wine and cake after a couple of days were a really nice touch. Location is good - short walk to the lake and main centre but also close to some very nice restaurants in the other direction.

• Constantin (10/5): - L’emplacement de l’hôtel est tout simplement exceptionnel, avec une chambre offrant une vue imprenable sur la mer. Les propriétaires sont d’une gentillesse remarquable : toujours disponibles, attentifs et ravis de partager leurs conseils pour profiter au mieux de la région. Petite attention très appréciée : ils nous réservaient même une place de parking juste devant l’hôtel. Un séjour parfait du début à la fin. Je recommande cet hôtel sans la moindre hésitation ! Tout était parfait, au point qu’il est difficile de trouver le moindre aspect négatif. Si je devais formuler une simple suggestion, ce serait d’ajouter des miroirs muraux dans les chambres. Pour le reste, l’expérience a été irréprochable.

• Hassiba (9/5): Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement : un séjour que nous ne regrettons absolument pas ! - Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet hôtel. La chambre était impeccable : confortable, propre (ménage fait chaque jour à la perfection) et avec une vue incroyable. Le personnel était très accueillant, toujours disponible en cas de besoin, avec de petites attentions délicates comme des pâtisseries ou des chocolats délicieux. L’hôtel est idéalement situé : proche de la plage, des restaurants, des commerces et du centre-ville, il n’est pas nécessaire d’avoir une voiture pour se déplacer. Pour visiter les villes voisines, une station de bus se trouve juste à côté, avec également la possibilité de prendre un taxi ou de louer une voiture.

Das Hotel Victoria ist der beste Beweis dafür, dass auch ein 1-Stern-Hotel perfekt sein kann – schlicht, aber mit viel Liebe geführt und dadurch etwas ganz Besonderes. Ein sehr schöner Strand befindet sich neben dem Hotel, das Zentrum erreicht man in 10 Gehminuten.

• Mary (9/5): Beautiful stay in Agios Nikolaos in a hotel with exceptional sew view. - The hotel is on a Main Street and the room had a beautiful sea view. It is equipped with the basic staff, and a comfortable bed and the bathroom is renovated. Our host, Stavros was very helpful. The lake is within walking distance and so is Ammoudi beach.

We had a stunning view, the room smelled fresh and clean from the moment we entered the room until we left and even the towels (they give you beach towels as well) smelled like fresh laundry. The hotel had old hotel vibes with very sweet cozy touches and they even left us two sweets in our fridge. Veeeeery nice hotel, exceeded our expectations.

• Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Location was amazing and the owners super friendly and accommodating and helpful :-) The Seaview room was incredible :-) Nothing :-) Although I thought I had booked a room with the Seaview on Booking.com where I hadn’t done so due to the photographs being miss conducive on the website. So when I got there I ended up paying more to finally get the Seaview room. It was definitely worth upgrading to the Seaview Room if you get the chance. The bed is bigger, the shower is not to handle shower, and you get a small kitchen area as well.

• Pamela (7/5): Great location on the water. Close to amenities. Too many mosquitoes. - Location. Staff was very accommodating, kind, helpful and efficient. Due to the structure and materials of the building sound carried a lot. The hallways carried noise throught out the building and into rooms. Also, there were unexplainable amount of mosquitoes. Every morning I woke up with more & more bites. I have been on Crete for a month and it hasn't been like that anywhere else. I had to take allergy pills to deal with all the bites. Most nights I slept with the doors closed ...and that didn't seem to help. It was like they were coming from inside the room.

• Terry (8/5): A friendly small hotel with lovely sea view. - Breakfast wasn't included but there were plenty of tavernas within walking distance along the sea front. Not all did breakfast but we had no trouble finding those that did. Omelettes were our favourite but continental style were also available along with savoury or sweet crepes. There was a good selection of tavernas offering lunch and dinner with a varied Greek menu and friendly service. Prices for 4 people were around €100 to €130 for starters & main course including drink and although we tended not to do deserts we often got plied with a small dessert and/or a shot of alcohol. A small public beach suitable for children was a 5 minute walk away. I enjoyed some snorkeling along the rocks which ran along the sea wall opposite the hotel, viewing a selection of fish amongst them. The beach was serviced by a bar which also served food along with cocktails and there was also water sports available. Our room was comfortable with traditional Greek furniture and a good shower, fridge and kettle. When we arrived we found a complimentary bottle of wine, water and chocolate biscuits in the fridge which was a nice touch. Victoria and her partner Stavros were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely view of the bay from our balcony but missed the mid day sun. We would stay at the hotel again if we revisited the resort. The road along the seafront could be a little noisy at times but not a great problem.

The owner was brilliant, so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Would really recommend. Parking could be a little difficult at times due to limited spaces on the road. No fault of the hotel, but just something to bear in mind if hiring a car.

• Janice (9/5): Superb - Brilliant location at the water front and very close to local beach with good facilities. 10 minute walk into town. Beautifully clean and well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is authentically Greek and quite old which we loved. Updating it too much would have spoilt the whole ambiance. Lots of stairs. Our room was situated on the top floor with balcony giving excellent views across the bay. A lift and the option of breakfast would have been nice, although we did get plenty of needed exercise up and down the stairs.

It is located just in front of the beach, with a supermarket a few meters away. The personnel is genuinely friendly and helpful. There is a balcony with a table and chairs, an air conditioner, and a small fridge.

The environment was quiet as promised and everything was as described. Our hosts were friendly and their hospitality was notable. The only slight issue was the tricky hot water adjustment in the shower. Overall, a great experience.

Also, just a 10 min walk to the bus stop.. where you can access beautiful beaches for 2 euros. Voulisma and Amoudara, I would really recommend 👌 The hotel itself is so quaint! Our rooms were cleaned every day. It was such a pleasure to stay there, and the beds were so comfortable. Such a gem!
