Guest Reviews
- Miedema (10/5): - Close to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful (especially Tania and Maria). The restaurant prepared delicious seasonal meals and the service was impeccable.
Petr was sincere and polite.
The location close to the church was optimal as it enabled me to attend Easter Monday service quite easily Not applicable
- Bernadett (10/5): -
- Milos (9/5): - Dobre parkovanie na verejnom bezplatnom parkovisku cez cestu od hotela
- Libor (8/5): -
- Janusz (5/5): - Nic Ciasny pokój i mała łazienka.
- Lucia (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): - Very nicely kept and clean “bed and breakfast” style of hotel. Lots of local charm. Had an excellent dinner of Slovakian specialties. Affordable and good quality.
- Jozef (7/5): Good -
- 307cliver (8/5): Traditional Slovakian restaurant - Here for the “Elro” festival with family, Friday lunchtime out on the balcony. Great attentive staff looking after us and a good value menu. I had the Venison with dumplings which was delicious, everyone enjoyed their food and even though we stayed chatting for a long time there was no pressure on us to leave even though the restaurant was full.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - The best accommodation in the town! Cosy rooms with telly, mini bar, bath and cattle. The restaurant with reasonable-price menu located at the ground floor. Staff extremely helpful, always in a good mood. Pretty much nothing. Totally and utterly fulfilled my expectation.
- Mr. (8/5): Very good -
- Gabor (10/5): Great place great location very good restaurant - location and the restaurant… room was also great with a nice terrace nothing
- Jana (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Location and cleanliness. Smell of the cooking oil in the room.
- Ronald (9/5): The location was convenient both for the concert we came hear and to visit the town. - The location was excellent. Very close to the centre and the tourist areas. Although being close to the centre the hotel was quiet. Cannot think of anything negative.
- Joanne (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - Clean, quiet hotel. Very comfortable bed, good shower, both a table with chair and a desk with chair which was very convenient for 2 people. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was just average, which was surprising for a hotel with a restaurant. It was OK but some fresh fruit would have been nice. Despite the fact that we were a little bit disappointed with breakfast, our room was great and overall we enjoyed our one-night stay.
- Laimis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriel (9/5): Superb -
- Iveta (10/5): Loved it! - The property is close to centre of the town and it has an elevator in it which was great for my mom who uses wheelchair
- Tomasz (9/5): Superb - nice filling breakfast, staff was quite accommodating to our needs (as a group of cyclists). Good restaurant. We stayed for dinner and it scored all the points for local food and liquors
- Matúš (8/5): there are not many options around Kezmarok. this one is a good place to stay and the city is worth to see! - the property is older and so is the furniture, but clean. the bed was comfortable.
- NikolaBenkova (8/5): Good hotel! - Good deal to stay in Kežmarok. Hotel is clean, staff is very friendly, food is good ( could be better, but you have all you need). I visited multiple times and it is my budget option. Hotel is very close to restaurants and train station - 5 minutes. Nearby is also shop and drugstore.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Great location in the city center and walking distance to the train station.
- K_elenis (10/5): Exceptional - Very good as always.
- Martin (5/5): Passable - cheap prices in restaurant old hotel
- Agota (8/5): Very good - Everything was very comfortable, modern and functioning. There was no frigde in the room even though it was in the description.
- Pavel (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Schöner Balkon. Sehr nette Bedienung.super gelegen in der Stadt
- Peter_Slavka (10/5): Cozy, clean with helpfull staff - NIce, clean, cozy, quiet with perfect location. Staff is helpfull and polite. We would reccomend this hotel as an base for travel around High Tatras. Prices are much lower and services are very good. Treetop Walk in Bachledka is just 25 min by car, Tatranska Lomnica 20 min. and Štrbské Pleso 40 min. Hotel is in the centrum of Kežmarok, close to castle, train station etc.
- Paul (10/5): A must stay! - Everything about this hotel was amazing. The receptionist (possibly the owner) was very helpful and informative. She sounded like she's from Britain. There was another lady who was there and she spoke German. So if you can communicate in either Slovak, English, or German, you're pretty much set. The hotel has its own curbside parking in the front. It also has its own restaurant that features local cuisine. Inside, the hallway is decorated with winter sport memorabilia and had a very welcoming fee. Our room was very big. It was very comfortable and cozy. The wifi was not very strong but when you feel like being off the grid, it's perfect.
Breakfast is available at 6 am and at the time, they served typical European items, like eggs, bacon, bread, cold cuts, cheeses, and yogurt. Many of their customers were also older German vacationers and they seemed like they felt at home there.
As for Kezmarok, the town has plenty to offer for restaurants, cafes, and sights to see. It has a small town feel with a lot to offer for tourists. The evening that we were there, many of the residents were out and about taking strolls around the town and dining with family and friends. It is 20 minutes away from Tatranska Lomnica, where you take the ski lift to go to Lomnicky Stit.
- JAROSLAV80 (8/5): perfectly equipped room - + room was equipped fantasticly, thumbs up
+ clean room
+ very comfortable bed
+ located in the city centre
+ free parking untill 8 am
+ free wi-fi
- very poor breakfast, for the price of the room including breakfast it was dissappointment
- staff could be more professional
- 608ciprianr (8/5): Is a nice and clean hotel - Nice and clean hotel with all facilities, rooms are nice and some of them with a very larger balcony.
Breakfast was not included in room price and I can say I was not very satisfied about breakfast but situation was egualized by other nice think.
- helmuth (10/5): short but wonderful - A place with beautiful surroundings on the base of the high Tatra.Good connection in all directions and very quiet. In the same place you have a restaurant with a lot of choices in the menue.Breakfast is continental but very good
- BrummieWanderer (6/5): Perfectly fine hotel in a small town - We stayed here whilst visiting friends in the town. It's perfectly fine for a hotel in a small town with limited options. Rooms were clean and reasonably sized and the bed was comfortable. It's right in the middle of the town, although everything is walking distance anyway. The breakfast was reasonable too, usual continental fare with bacon, eggs and sausage too. If you need a place to stay in Kezmarok, I would recommend it - and would probably stay here again if I were visiting again. Be aware that the main door closes at midnight and so you'll need to buzz for the night manager to let you in!
- katarinam436 (6/5): Average hotel - The room was nice and comfortable, including beds. Compare to other space in the hotel seemed to be new and renewed. We've got a room with street view, which turned to be a bad choice. The street was quiet but there was a group of people sitting in front of the restaurant just close to the hotel. We heard their loud laughter and unfortunately also what they were talking about. We had to listen to grousing people also during the breakfast as some staff friends obviously felt there like at home. The breakfast was below average.
- michaelpG9255BM (10/5): Comfortable - We found the room very warm and comfortable and the hotel was in easy walking distance of the towns main attractions. The staff were very helpful and being a more mature couple we appreciated the lift to our floor. We would like to have stayed longer and hope to visit they again. The dinner and breakfasts served in the ground floor restaurant were first class.
- 56saeedw (10/5): THE Hotel IS GREATh - Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast and dinners at the restaurant were top class.Really great stay here at Kezmarok. This place will always be remembered as one of our favourite hotels it's total value for money.
- 307cliver (6/5): Clean and tidy but small rooms. - Stayed here for one night to check it out for a family event next year.
Whilst I have given it an average review it is a good place to stay in Kazmarok for the price you pay, It's functional rather than special.
In my opinion the Hviezdoslav is better because of the architecture and quaintness of the low vaulted ceilings.
In terms of food we had evening meals and lunch in both and they were equally as good.
- StephenJames1000 (10/5): Refurbished hotel with great facilities and a warm welcome - I visited this hotel and indeed city for the first time as part of a group from the excellent Halej's Travel from Zamosc in Poland as part of a coach tour. The building is old and situated in the cobbled streets of the old part of the city. The refurbishment has given modern facilities and rooms whilst maintaining the charm of the setting. The food was first class, featuring traditional favourites from the region, it helps if you like meat and they do this very well. We were entertained by a traditional folk trio who certainly made our Saturday night party go off with some great dancing and party atmosphere.
We went to the nearby thermal pools, that is a great experience, I really recommend it
I can't wait to go back.
- bbrb (10/5): Great hotel - I stayed in this hotel with my husband in December 2012. The hotel is 3 star but I think it could be 4 star hotel. the food, the room and the location (near Tatra mountains) was great. I would come back again and recommend this hotel.
- alex_travel_RO (8/5): very good - Clean, nice rooms with new furniture, 80” flat TV, fridge, safe, phone.
Nice bathroom with shower, hair dryer.
Fine terrace with little trees.
Pleasant well decorated restaurant with terrace.
Easy access to the mountains.
- philly_vagabond (8/5): Friendly hotel in Tatry Mountain area of Slovakia - We did a repeat stay in this town in the Tatra mountains of Slovakia; good rooms, good restaurant, easy access to all seasons of sports in the mountains or eastern Slovakia in general
