- Thivillon (10/5): - The room was beautiful. Very spacious room with a spacious bathroom. The attentions with drinks, skincare, pyjamas,... was perfect. The staff was so friendly and kind. Perfect location to visit Dontobory. The lounge with free drinks and hot beverages was perfect.

- 허영훈 (9/5): 오사카 가족여행시 최우선으로 고려할만한 숙소 - 일본호텔 특유의 좁은 실내에 답답하던 여행자로서는 최고의 숙소임. 넓은 실내와 뛰어난 방음으로 관광 후 쌓아 피로를 제대로 풀 수 있었음. 코인세탁기도 있어 속옷, 양말의 세탁도 가능해서 장기여행시 유용할듯 함. 로비옆 라운지에서 무료 음료(맥주)를 한잔하며 잠시 취히는 휴식도 기분좋았음. 조식을 제공하지는 않는 듯함. 식당을 찾지 못했음.

A bit more walking to the railway stations The rooms are pretty dark with no ventilation or windows to open to get any kind of natural light in. The air con wasn’t the best
- Doris (9/5): Great stay - The hotel has a very Boutique feel to it, The room wes a great size with 2 double beds. The bathroom was fantastic with a nice powerful shower and a jacuzzi bathtub complete with lighting. The most impressive thing was the lounge where from 1pm to 10pm you can drink free beer and wine and help yourself to snacks. Fantastic The only thing i would say was the hotel is quite dark including the rooms where it was quite hard trying to find some good light to apply your makeup. The pillows could have been a bit bigger and also it was quite hard to communicate with the staff. But i must say the hotel is lovely

- Sam (7/5): Good stay close to Osaka's central restaurants and nightlife - Great location, central to main Osaka central activities. The larger rooms had lots of good space and living areas. The free for guests area with drinks and small cakes etc was also appreciated and useful. They were helpful in helping change rooms when my parents found their room too dark for their liking. Just overall a bit dark in the rooms, granted not a lot of natural light but even with lighting the space just felt dark. Reception staff generally seemed disinterested. A little style over substance.

- Natalia (7/5): Great location. - The location is TOP, and their lounge with free drinks and delicacies is too, and their room was very spacious When I booked, I believed I was choosing a smart, luxury boutique hotel — but the reality didn’t match that expectation. The attempt at a luxury feel falls short in many ways: from the poor-quality finishes and lack of windows (at least in my room), to the very uncomfortable beds. These details significantly undermine the overall sense of luxury the hotel tries to convey. So for me is not great value for money

- Dianne (8/5): A good place to stay if location and convenience were fhe main priority. - The location was great. A few blocks away from Shinsaibashi. There were konbinis and restaurants all around as well. There is also a free lounge at the ground floor that was really excellent. They had coffee, drinks, beer, wine and even small snacks and cake. This was our favorite part of the stay. The rooms were more spacious that normal Osaka hotels too, it was great for a family with kids. The rooms were a little musty and the aircon was dirty. The toilets had an old smell too.

- MICHELLE (10/5): - Our 1st time staying here. The hotel is off the busy central area of shinsaibashi shopping strip so it was great not to be where its so loud. Lots of dining options and convenient to the subway about 5-7min walk. To get to the busy Dontonbori strip is 10min walk. Pros: - Quiet and convenient. Lots of restaurants walking nearby and subway super close - Hotel room has all the toiletries you need: Shampoo/Conditioner/Bodywash, Face skincare, cotton/q-tips, body scrub, toothbrush/toothpaste, shower cap, hairbrush, razor. - I like how our room has a separate entry way before fully getting into the room. This way our dirty shoes stay separate from our living/bedroom area. - Linen spray for those days you go for bbq and wagyu food. You can spray your clothes down to make it smell better and air it out - Laundry station in the top floor. Cost only 500Yen to wash/dry your laundry. No need to carry so many clothes. - Hotel helps you ship your luggage through Yamato service. Cons: - Not enough places to hang towels for 3 people. They have no wall hanger to hang your towels which I found a bit weird. They had hangers in the closet for clothes, but no where to lang your long towel. - The washroom cabinet had a rod for your face towel, but definitely nothing to hang your shower towel. So if you travelling with family, be prepared that there is no where to hang your towels or not enough hanger for clothes. Overall, our stay was great and I do recommend this hotel to anyone.

- Lai (9/5): It is a hotel worth recommending. - The hotel is located in the heart of Shinsaibashi, close to the train station. It's rare to find such a large hotel room at a reasonable price. There is plenty of space for children to move around, and the bathtub is huge.

- Michael (10/5): Christmas and New Years Stay at Grandee - I stayed here over Christmas and New Years with my wife and two kids. Hotel was excellent, and family friendly restaurants were found nearby at PARCO and Daimaru. I loved the decor and the free amenities offered at the hotel Lounge. I did want to highlight an issue that was resolved. We checked in our luggage to be delivered to Narita Airport on new years day with the hotel. Unfortunately, the Grandee did not ask for all the necessary information and was unable to ship the luggage in time. We were stressed out as we were not sure how we could handle the baggage with two young kids through the streets and shinkansen ride. This is when the hotel manager, Ryohei-san, came to our hotel room and offered to make it right by personally driving the luggage from Osaka to Narito Airport, a 7 hour drive! He even refused to take any payment for this as he says it was the Grandee's mistake to fix this issue. Sure enough, we met Ryohei-san at the airport on Jan 1st with all our luggage. Thank you very much Hotel Grandee for the wonderful stay!

- Rf (9/5): Boutique hotel, great location, big beautiful rooms - HUGE rooms and bathroom (much bigger than the photos), we each had a Queen sized bed, everything was super clean and very new, the staff were very attentive, we checked in early and headed out for the day, and when we returned, they had taken up our luggage. We also had complimentary access to the rooftop bar with wine, beer and cakes. Nothing at all

- Travis (8/5): - I had a great stay at the Hotel Grandee! The staff were all amazing and friendly and made my stay feel special. The location is great as you are in the centre of everything. The only thing I didn't like was that my room was very dusty and I could see the dust floating under the pot lights at all times. I think the carpets need to be cleaned better.

- ssounds (8/5): Good hotel in a convenient location, a few issues - Our preferred hotel in Shinsaibashi was fully booked, so we had to find another option. Osaka is packed with hotels (and shops, and restaurants...) but finding a good one in a convenient location can be tricky. In my opinion Shinsaibashi is a good location to be in, when you're in Osaka. It's close to a good subway station (Shinsaibashi), Amemura and the biggest department stores. It's not in the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori, but you can easily walk there (5-10 min.). Namba is a bit further away (one subway stop on the Midosuji line), but it's not a problem. You're also not too far in Osaka - in my opinion Osaka Station, Umeda etc. are not convenient locations for a tourist, although the public transit system takes you anywhere really easily. The Grandee looked very nice online, so I decided to book it. Overall, it's a good, modern, very clean boutique hotel in a convenient location. Here are some pros and some minor cons: PROS + Overall: a very good boutique hotel in a good location in the middle of Shinsaibashi. + Sizable rooms (had the Premium Twin, there are bigger and smaller ones) with a sofa, desk, separate toilet, a jacuzzi bath with mood lights (with another TV), small wardrobe, Bluetooth speaker, tons of free VOD and a big TV. The room also had a small foyer with a closable door (helps with noise). The room also had a Nespresso machine, which we used daily. Nicely stocked with various amenities. Pajamas and slippers! + Cleanliness: the room was immaculately cleaned and refilled every day. One additional plus was that you have until noon to leave your room (some hotels clean relatively early) + A lounge area with free beer, wine, coffee, juice and some small pastries + Free water bottles every day CONS - The room we had (412) was probably one of their dullest interior-wise. It was a bit of a disappointment since we stayed so long (8 nights), and the website showcases some beautifully designed unique rooms. Someone said you can pick the room you want, within budget, but I think we were just assigned one upon check-in. - There were some questionable stains on the dark couch. The room had also a bit of a musty smell, but having a humidifier and the air circulation on helped. - The front desk was always super friendly and helpful in true Japanese fashion, but unfortunately didn't speak much English. Translation apps did get the job done, though. - The room didn't have proper windows. At first this was a bit of a shock; turns out one of them was behind a movable wooden piece. The windows were frosted, though - this is common for almost-street-level Japanese hotels. - No proper breakfast room. You can pre-order a breakfast pack, but it needed to be ordered days in advance. There are cafés, 7-Elevens and Family Marts all around the area, though. Or you can use Uber Eats. - Need to pay fully upon check-in without seeing the room. - The Japanese style short shower with "onsen style" bath stools was a bit funny for a tall Westerner :-)
- Raisa (8/5): - Great location, just 5 min walk to Shinsaibashi shopping district and 8 mins to Dotonburi. Nearby a few different metro stations. The room was quite spacious, lots of space to open luggage (for 1 person). The only thing was that I was beside the elevator and it got kinda noisy with people coming and going with luggages.

- Mark (10/5): Quiet Boutique Hotel near all the action - The hotel has a nice lounge adjacent to their building where you can enjoy free coffee, free beer, free wine, free desserts and a free piano! It's in walking distance to everywhere in Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. It's a lively area but the hotel is on a quiet side street. The beds are large for Japan and the whole room was a massive suite with a giant jacuzzi tub that could fit four people! And the price was well below many other hotels in the area. No complaints really. It has everything you could want.

- Caroline (9/5): Cool hotel design with nice amenities - Check out The Grandee Shinsaibashi if you love cool design. Every room is a different theme. I kind of wish I could have seen all the different available rooms in advance so I could pick a specific one. Also, the location is fairly convenient, near the Shinsaibashi Station. If you have large/heavy suitcases and are walking from the station, it is a bit far. Also note the EXCELLENT lounge here with FREE beer/wine/coffee/water/snacks. The only downside is that it opens in the late afternoon. So it's not possible to access in the morning for a coffee or cappuccino. We had a wonderful large jetted tub and the hotel provided nice bath salts to use. And I like having the robe and lounge clothes made available to use. Nice touch. The carpeting in our room had some staining and wear/tear. Our room had only one small window, so the room was a bit dim without much daylight. Minor complaints, overall we liked this hotel.
- May (2/5): Not returning - Walking distance to Shinsaibashi shopping area and Dontonbori area. 2 different metro stations are about 5-10 mins walk away (ours slightly longer because we were travelling with a child). Room size reasonably big compared to hotels in the location. Laundry and dryer facility was helpful. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable and very dark. Take note that there are no windows - we were away but it does make you feel claustrophobic and we stayed for 7 nights. Poor soundproofing - you hear everything from cleaners to guest coming back at 3am. Security of hotel was poor - you can just walk in and lifts were accessible to every floor. TV had no English channels. Bath towels and paper towels are super thin! AC just right above beds so not great.

- bbmdk (10/5): good quiet location, but near all the action - great hotel and the location is in a quiet area but it doesnt take long to get to the station or any of the main shopping malls and streets with all the restaurants. the room was a good size. bed was huge. bathroom was good, but the big step up to the bathroom was abit unusual. seperate toilet. had a huge spa with mood lights and a tv on wall. good to have a lounge to sit on. staff were nice and helpful. the free drink/food area was amazing. had a deck up a staircase as well as the downstairs area to relax and have a drink.
- Nicolas (8/5): Spacious, unique, definitely worth a stay - We had the suite with the huge couch-like staircase. The design of the room was pretty unique. We also had plenty of space. In general, everything seemed very modern + they even had a home cinema set up for the room (with a sound system and a dangling HDMI connector that we plugged a Chromecast into). The hotel also has a lounge with free drinks and cake. Lastly it is extremely conveniently located - you can reach all sights easily. - The room did not have any real windows. We could have guessed from the pictures, I guess. - Minor: The couch is fairly soft - I found it too soft for sleeping.

- Melissa (10/5): excellent and dark concept of the hote - the bed is large enough for 4 pax to sleep on and the lounge is free drink (Ice coffee / beer/wine) and snack for guest to enjoy with while relaxing at the couch (open at 13:00pm to 22:00pm). coins-laundry is located at 8th floor. shopping Center and restaurants is located nearby. too many club and pub located around the hotel. the laundry room is too small as it can only allow 1 or 2 pax to enter with limited spaces. too quiet at night and music will playing at the lounge or corridors while daytime. The room toilet 🚽 doesn’t have wash basin and it required me to walk to the bathroom to wash my hand after toileting

- Casie (10/5): Unique experience - The deluxe hotel room booked was phenomenal and so very unique. I loved the amenities and definitely appreciated a larger bath tub to use. I also really appreciated the free lounge for hotel guests to use. The location was fantastic and located only minutes away from Dotonburi. I do wish that the lounge was open later, but it wasn’t a very big negative compared to all the other great things!
