Guest Reviews
- Willem (7/5): Nice.. - Simple breakfast. ?
- Lesley (7/5): Good -
- Maurizio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deeptee (8/5): Very nice host! - The host was very kind and accommodating! He is very sweet, even offered me an early check in for free. He also kept my luggage after my check out which allowed me to explore Bari a bit more and without any hassle!
The room I stayed in was clean and well kept!
- David (9/5): Wonderful overnight stopoff - Very comfortable all facilities you need clean tidy Very friendly helpful staff. Good Wi-Fi excellent breakfast selection good location central to town and the beach lovely great value hotel for an overnight stay. A little bit dated and tired but fantastic value
- Kirsty (9/5): Superb - The owner was lovely. The location was perfect - close to the sea and the centre of town. We had a room at the back of the hotel - it was quiet. Large, Comfy bed. Good value for money. Nothing
- Mustafa (9/5): Superb - A hotel with a helpful, caring and friendly manager. I thank them. I would recommend putting a kettle in the room to make tea and coffee.
- Zsg3781 (8/5): Very good - The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive, plus I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a double room. While the interior has a vintage charm, it’s clean and comfortable. The hotel’s location is perfect if you’re planning to explore the beautiful region of Puglia, especially for the price. 1) The noise was relentless until 1 - 2 am, with a lot of traffic and people shouting and singing in the street. Make sure to pack some earplugs if you want a decent night’s sleep.
2) The hotel description claims there’s “public parking available,” but if you return later in the evening, good luck finding a spot near the hotel. I once spent 90 minutes circling the area until I found a spot 500 meters away from the hotel. The hotel should definitely clarify this in their description.
- Luciana (7/5): Good -
- Antonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alžběta (7/5): Perfect location, two minutes walk to gorgeous beaches, amazing icecream shop 1min walk! - Simple room (don't expect top hotel) good for few night's stand if you like to stay by the sea and do some sightseeing, perfect location for that, very helpful and friendly stuff, sweet breakfast included, delicious coffee. Thank you so much!
- Hotspur1 (10/5): Giovinazzo - Hotel
Restaurants
Culture Nothing to complain about
- Mariusz (8/5): Good for short stay 👍🙂 - Clean room, nice crew, view from the room Very simply, sweet breakfast could be better
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff.
Great room for the Price.
Good breakfeast
- Mangooo (2/5): Very poor - Good location, good access to the sea and town no much light in the room, no window in the bathroom
- Roscovan (8/5): Very good - The owner was very helpful, and the location was very close to the port.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Andrada (10/5): Comfortable and amazing service - The host was amazing, kind and helpful! The room was just what we were expecting, had everything we needed. It was very clean and comfy. Best value for money.
- Rossodisera (8/5): Very good - Very close to the seafront My room faced a very busy street, so pretty load at night.
- Mesut (10/5): Exceptional - The owner helped us for parking everyday, we enjoyed the breakfast, big rooms, The staff cleaned the room everyday, the hotel is easy to find, really reasonable price We found exactly what we look for, very good silent city, beautiful puglia
If you want crowdy, and unfriendly hotels this is not for you
- Vergari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesco (10/5): - C'è tutto apposto, è a due passi dal mare. Io parcheggio è un po' da cercare
- Pip (6/5): Nice town and handy for airport but very basic - Parking outside was great. Location is central. The chap who ran it was helpful and pleasant. Hotel is on a very noisy road, and is very dated inside.
- Miroslava (9/5): Place to stay :) - Signor Giuseppe was very very very nice, we felt like at home, good atmosphere. Room and bathroom was spacious and clean. We enjoyed also the breakfast. Short walking to the beach, center or train station. Mini fridge in the room was helpful, good aircon. Highly recommended! Sometimes sounds from the street woke me up in the early morning.
- Karolina (8/5): good place for a short stay - very nice owner
- Jean-Luc (10/5): - Great quality for price. Nothing fancy, nothing less than you expect.
- Deidre (7/5): Good -
- Ifd (8/5): We had a good time - It has a very old school vibe and it was quite nice. Not everything needs to be trendy and over the top. Nothing better at this price point. The men at the reception were very nice to us. Easy to park nearby and a short walk to the old town. We had a good time. I mean, it is dated but it is part of the charm. So nothing.
- Demet (7/5): Good -
- Maxime (6/5): Pleasant - Staff was welcoming Sound isolation is quite poor
- Tereza (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel is very good value for price. It has a great location- 5 min to the centre and 5 min to a lovely beach. Giuseppe, the owner, is a very kind and caring man. The breakfast was basic but adequate. I enjoyed my stay. One thing could be improved: the breakfast was served on PLSTIC plates, with plastic cups for juice and plastic cutlery. This is a very unsustainable solution that is very detrimental to the climate, to our earth, the sea and the ecosystem. I would really please you, Giuseppe, to be using at least paper dishes, if not reusable dishes.
- Gabriella (7/5): Good - Nice staff
Close to the seafront
Good pillows The room faced a busy main road and could not open much the windows nor use the balcony
- Connector75528 (6/5): Mrs - Very nice place. Clean and tidy. Close to center and sea side. Wish the owner spoke English, though. But it was manageable. Yummy restaurants within walk distance from the hotel. It is expensive for a 2 stars hotel offering B&B. No coffee machine or boiler to do a cup of coffee at the comfort of your room. Good place for a 2 days stay tops.
- mazzanti (6/5): soggiorno discreto - Albergo modesto con ampi spazi per camera e bagno, personale accogliente e gentile rapidità nel ceck in e ceck out consigliato.
- Marianne (10/5): - Een basic hotel direct gelegen langs de doorgaande weg. Basic ontbijt, verder geen bar of restaurant aanwezig
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was excellent very friendly always ready to assist if needed
- angelacG5337QY (10/5): excellent choice - Our stay was great. The air conditioning worked well, the room is very clean, the hotel is safe and is in a great location, Guiseppe has been wonderful. We have stayed here several years in a row. Breakfast is always fresh and delicious. We had a table in our room. There's an elevator which helps when you need it.
- florencen791 (8/5): Small town, great hotel - The owner greets you and then is helpful in every thing that you need. The location is conducive to the piazza in the center of the town but far enough off the main area that it is quiet. Room was quiet and clean. We were there to research the municipio for records of some of my friend's relatives and could walk there and to the cemetery. I would love to spend more time there and would definitely stay at the Mediterraneo.
- Y5147TKangelab (10/5): Excellent !!! must stay and find out for yourself thanks Guiseppe - My husband and I recently visited Giovinnazzo for 5 weeks with my mother from Western Australia we received excellent hospitality from Giuseppe and his wife and staff, couldn’t do enough for us. Great daily rates and spotlessly cleaned. Great location!! 4 minute walk to historic town Central, public transport across the road, everything you ever would need and more with private balcony with ocean views. Don't waste your time searching any further. I highly recommend me terrain for generosity hospitality great price and location. Thank you Giuseppe for all your hospitality kindness and memories we were sad to leave
- hugi222 (10/5): Romantic weekend - the very best place and hotel in the world...Nice apartman, nice weekend, and great adventure..Beautiful wiev.Excellent room service.Quiet calm relaxing place.Easy approaches.Wonderful experience to be there.
- jr1492410 (10/5): Excellent value for money near city centre - Guiseppe made me very welcome when I arrived with my bicycle at the start of a cycling holiday in Puglia. This is a very well run and conveniently located hotel near everything in this charming seaside town. The wifi worked well. Guiseppe even arranged for an inexpensive taxi to Bari airport when I left. A good choice.
- haroldm453 (10/5): My Second Home - Located within walking distance to the Piazza, Lungo Mare, stores, restaurants, churches and public transportation, Rooms are large and extremely clean. Guiseppe will make you feel right at home and treat you like family. This is my 4th time staying at this hotel and when I call to make a reservation Guiseppe recognizes my voice.
I have a lot of family in Giovinazzo and they all come to the hotel at various hours looking for me or waiting for me to return from the beach so they can pick me up and go to their home. If I am not there Guiseppe makes them feel right at home while they wait. He goes out of his way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.
The price is great and the service is even better.
- 843jannam (10/5): Home away from Home - Friendly and welcoming family run hotel, located within walking distance to town center, beaches shops and public transport, if you wanted to check out towns nearby. Rooms are large and clean. Guiseppe and Nicoletta made our stay enjoyable. Hope to be back soon.
- LaMouton (8/5): Practical and clean - Don't expect bells and whistles; this hotel is basic, local and great value for money. It's easy to locate; parking in the street is no hassle and the location is within 15 mins of Karol Wojtyla international airport.
Also there are shops and supermarkets close by and the charming square and old city of Giovinazzo are a five minute walk away. The owner is a lovely friendly man, an ex sea captain.
As a base to explore this magical and underrated province of Italy Hotel Mediterraneo fits the bill.
