Steven (2/5): - The room was bare minimum possible. That's fine because it's a budget place I don't mind that. The younger couple that works there were great very friendly accommodating awesome people. After a 6-day stay and checking out at 10:00 a.m. I just got a call at 10:00 p.m. with some drunken old lady dropping the f-bomb on me telling me my dog destroyed their curtains. That's absolutely insane. He doesn't do it He's never done that he simply not inclined. If he destroys anything he likes to chew on wood legs of furniture. Anyway this raging alcoholic old hag yelling at me and dropping the f-bomb said I owed her money and when I told her she's insane she said she's going to have me blacklisted from every hotel in the state. I'm still laughing. Apparently the damage was simply a few threads that were unraveled from the curtains. I can assure you with my dog was going to go after curtains he wouldn't just unravel a few threads he would rip them off of the rod and thrash them around and he would do that to all of the curtains in the room. But apparently a few threads were loose from one set of curtains. Also and I wasn't going to complain about this the room had two queen beds but only one had a comforter on it with two pillows and the other bed had no comforter and only one pillow. Honestly wanted to give these guys a good review because the younger couple we're so absolutely friendly and hospitable until this rude lady called me 12 hours after I moved out with this BS.
Mark (8/5): - I'm now 70 years old and have been going past this place for decades. Last year I decided to stay here because it was always full when I came to Wisconsin for races at Road America so I figured it was a good place to stay. It has very clean rooms and the staff is friendly, the property however has been in need of a face lift for many years. They have security cameras for the entire parking lot but the room doors only have a lock on the door handle, I was uncomfortable with that even though there seemed little chance of trouble. I've now stayed there twice and will likely stay again when I come back for the same races at this time next year.

Lawrence (2/5): - I have stayed at this motel numerous times, and each time it is a step lower. This time I was in the apartment in the back. The shower did not drain, after a shower I was standing in 4 inches of dirty water. The staff said the dirt that was at the bottom of the tub was just hard water, it definitely was not. The sink had the same problem, after brushing my teeth, which does not take a lot of water, the sink had water standing in it. I could not change hotels because it was a big weekend up there and no hotels nearby had any rooms at a reasonable price. Thank god it was cool weekend also, they only had a single window AC, and it was in the bathroom. Fans were supposed to move the air around. I will never be going back here again. It used to be a nice place, they need to pick it up a little on the maintenance though.

They didn’t tell me until I got there on August 1 2025. Was going to road America. Which is almost 2 hours from my house… the worst part is the persons didn’t even credit my card back.. fighting it with credit card company now. Very bad business…

Just a nice room to stay in while visiting an airshow. And they definitely delivered. I also greatly appreciated the ability to log into streaming TV. Most places we stay just have live television. That was definitely a plus.

Joseph (4/5): - The staff was truly amazing very friendly and helpful with anything I needed. Unfortunately, the room itself was far from satisfactory. Towels were stained and appeared dirty, and even after being switched to what was considered their best room, the couch was in such poor condition I was hesitant to sit on it. While the location felt safe, it’s extremely remote. Getting a cab or even ordering food was nearly impossible, which made the stay very inconvenient. I wouldn’t return primarily due to the location, but the cleanliness of the room was also a major concern.

John (2/5): - This property cancelled our reservations without notification and would not come to the door, talked through a ring doorbell. Didn't seem to care we had this reserved for over 6 months or that we traveled 15 hours to get there with no place to stay. Would NEVER recommend based on their attitudes about this whole thing.
Vic (6/5): By-pass this motel... - Besides the slow check in, they had to bring towels to the room, no cups or coffee pot. The worst part ..there was a fireworks stand in parking lot and from the time we checked in until at least 10 p.m. Periodic fireworks going off. D Some very loud, others long screaming noises and flashes seem through the curtains. If we hadn't booked with online service, we would have cancelled the reservation. Plus loud, garish music blaring from the stand!!!

289kristinec (2/5): A Lesson in Smoke and Disgust - I arrived at the hotel with the intention of staying a week. i'd given Angie the manager my credit card information the previous day on the phone and I looked forward to the stay. i arrived with nobody at the desk. Five minutes later she showed with another employee, both smoking cigarettes, smoke everywhere. It was close to highway 57, but i was assured the sound was not a problem. Skeptical, I asked to see the room. When she opened the door the bed was unmade, pillows askew. Looked like someone had just rolled out of it. She pulled the bedspread over the pillows, assuring me it had been made. i told her this was unacceptable. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and I hadn't checked in. She charged my credit card for one night saying the policy was on the website but it was not. A used and filthy room. Smoke everywhere. Tires, trucking debris all around. My advice....run, don't walk away.

And the people lurking around outside made two adult men not want to stay our second night, so we didn’t. I like to support the local, mom and pop operations over the big chains, but this place reminds us why we have to be very careful when doing so.

aBadgerandaGopher (8/5): Decent budget hotel - The Wisconsin-Aire is a roadside motel with parking in front of the units and outside doors to the rooms. The place has a bright appearance from the outside with a picnic table grill on one side and chairs in front. The rooms have been remodeled – redone floor, painted and paneled walls, tiled bathroom walls. It meets the basics – clean room, comfortable beds, decent towels, nice shower head and plenty of hot water for showers. Our room had a good size fridge, a microwave sitting on top of it, and wall A/C unit above that. There were two beds and a nightstand, no closet or any good place to hang things. There was a metal shelf/rack in a corner above one bed but no hangers. With the front windows closed the room was reasonable quiet considering the property is on a fairly busy highway. There wasn’t much traffic at night and we didn’t hear any noise from other rooms. The most noise we heard came from the boys living at the restaurant next door playing loud music while they played basketball one evening. The staff was friendly and responsive when you could get a hold of them, easiest when someone was at the fireworks store they have on the road side of the parking lot. We were able to swap towels once we got someone’s attention there. Never got an answer on the phone numbers posted on the whiteboard in the office. We were given bottled water when we checked in. Our room had wifi internet that very slow when it was working - it was constantly going up and down. The room had a nice flat screen TV but it used wifi - we couldn't get it to connect given available connectivity and bandwidth The bathroom is fairly small - sink, tub w/shower, toilet, no vanity. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang things on or towel racks within reach of the shower. This is a basic motel - no pool, exercise room, or continental breakfast - consistent with the price. Being a remodeled older property it has a few rough edges, generally aesthetic - e.g. uncovered electrical box above front door, bathroom very sink slow to drain, light over the shower not working, and the door lock needing a little “talking to” to get it to unlock with a key – passage lock and no deadbolt. No smoke detectors were visible. To know: hair dryers and coffee are available upon request; book directly with motel for best rate. We ate at the restaurant next door and found it quite good. (It looks like a Mexican restaurant but isn’t.)

The welcome mats were full of dirt, main garbages overflowing and dried dead bugs in the corners of the room. Unsure if there was a fire sprinkler alarm system in the room. Very dated, dumpy and seemed as though most occupants were long term live-ins. There was a porcelain throne graveyard outside our window. Appreciated that the sheets seemed clean and the water ran hot!

Deborah (8/5): Wisconsin Aire Motel New Year review - The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel that does need some upgrading. The beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked and there is no cabinet/dresser and/or desk in the room. They heat was not easily controllable so it was warmer than I would have liked. Overall, it was a very good experience but with a little updates and additional amenities it could be an excellent experience in the future.
Joseph (6/5): Time for a refresh! - My last time here was in November 2017 shortly after the owners had refurbished the motel. Since then, the motel has suffered from benign neglect. Time for a refresh!
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay but unexpected loud music - Had a band or loud music playing after 11pm on Saturday night. It sounded like it was coming from the gas station. I wasn't going to go out and check it out as I was ready for bed. The staff that lives there is nice, but the kids need to be quiet after 10pm to respect the people staying there. They were screaming after 11pm. I opened the door and said asked them to be quiet that some people were trying to sleep, then their mom came out of the office and went to their unit. I don't know if she knew I said anything to them or not, but the one child glared at me while walking backwards back to their quarters. I get it that it was a weekend, but there should still be respect for quiet time. Need instructions on how to use TV. Not everyone streams. Not all room numbers are listed so had to go under another room number to try and watch TV. Liked that they had bottled water in the room. Came in handy at night.

We rang the bell a couple more times and tried calling their number. No answer. No one came for 20 minutes. Then they gave us a room. Room 25. Then as we were unpacking a gentleman told us they gave us the wrong room and gave us keys for room 29. We opened the doors to room 29 and someone was staying in there. We went back and they told us they gave us the wrong keys. Then gave us room 30. Room 30 was stinky and they left a dirty wet rag on top of the fridge. I took a quick shower and the blow dryer wouldn’t work. I called them to complain and to ask for a new blow dryer and for them to come pick up the stinky towel that someone left in there, but no answer so I left a message. I called again the next morning and of course no answer. Worst customer service and motel we’ve ever stayed in.
Verified traveler (2/5): Skip this place - The television didn’t work. There was no extra lock inside the door. The room smelled and whatever they used to clean was not a good smell either. No one was there to check us in and we had to contact hotels.com, which was not quick, just to get someone to give us a key for our room. It was a boy who might have been 10 years old. Saw no adults. Bed springs were old and uncomfortable. Bedding was old and we didn’t get a comforter or warm bedding. Heater didn’t work well - ended up sleeping in sweatshirts, hoodies, socks, etc. Towels were stained and had holes. Gave shampoo, conditioner, and soap bar. Had nice toilet paper. Very old rooms, rust, mold on shower liner, bath mat wasn’t washed, fish shaped anti slip mat for bath was old and misshapen. Overall would not recommend. Also cost was lower online than through hotels.com. We had to get a price adjustment even though I think paying what we did was still far too much.

Denise (8/5): - Enjoyable; Nice towels. Loved sitting outside on the nice benches provided under well lit walkways enjoying the summer evening. Nice bath mat and non skid fish for the bathtub. Could use a little extra care; Curtain to the back was missing a few curtain rods. Electrical plug in needed a cover surrounding it. Office closed in the morning upon leaving thus just left key in the room.
Jennifer (6/5): - Not happy with the room at all. The room smelled so overpowering of room freshener. The ceiling was caving in over one of the beds. The curtains were disgustingly dirty. The bedding was stained and the beds and pillows were worn out and uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling and shower curtain was moldy. I had to clean the sink when we arrived, there were weird beard hairs in it. I paid for 2 nights but decided by 6pm the 2nd night to leave, we couldn't stomach this room any longer and decided to make the long trip home. We will never stay here again.
Martin (6/5): - No toilet paper, tiny bar of soap, poorly made bed, terrible pillows, few tv channels, dirty fridge and microwave, no security chain on exterior door, slow drains and poorly maintained. Sheets clean and a/c worked.
Troy (6/5): - This is an old school motel. It's in a small town right on a highway and perfect for those who need a place to sleep for the night (or maybe two). Drive up to your door. The room was small, but clean. The AC worked, as did the fridge and microwave. It is older so remodeling hasn't been done. The front desk is not always manned, but staff is just a few steps away and ready to attend. Oscar was on duty when we were there and was very friendly and helpful.
Debra J. (8/5): - Nice, older motel. Very clean and comfortable room, has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot.Outside looked pretty with hanging flower baskets and benches.
Bryce (4/5): - I would've had this simple motel more highly rated if not for one big detail. We came to eastern Wisconsin to visit Lake Michigan for Independence weekend, unfortunately we were located right next to a small fireworks shop. No big deal, except the fact that they decided to have a firework show right outside the motel. Now I get that it's a firework shop on 4th of July weekend we're talking about, but I mean letting the show go on well after 10 pm (we we're awoken as late as 1:30 AM). It made matters worse that I told them some of us were trying sleep at about 10:30 PM, to which they said they were firing off the last one. Well they lied about that as it turns out. Decent motel, but I was frustrated that the owners didn't figure this out with the neigboring firwork business. I wasn't the only tenant upset either.

Elizabeth (2/5): Awful - This was the most terrible hotel I have ever been to. The heat did not work and you could only get scalding hot water or freezing cold when taking a shower. I booked for 2 nights but we only stayed for one and found different accommodations for the 2nd night. We did complain to the person on site about no heat and was ignored. It may be cheaper but you will get a bad stay!
JESSICA (4/5): - I was looking forward to the short stay…I love cute Motels. The room had a dirty coffee pot with old coffee and used filter still in it, 2 pillow cases missing from 2 pillows and trash stuffed in the TV stand. When we walked in the room it smelled like cleaner but my guess is they just sprayed something in the air. Seems like $130 is way too much for this place. Very disappointed.
Hank (4/5): - The bathroom soap was postage stamp size, the a/c unit was unreachable over the refrigerator w/o a stool, the furniture was too large for the room, the only accesible electric outlets were floor level in the narrow spaces outside the beds, the coffee maker was junk, the smoke alarm was unwired/gone, the door kept falling off of the microwave "stand", there was an open light socket in the bathroom along with a broken housing hair dryer/blower.
Verified traveler (6/5): Not great - Well,no batteries in remote for a/c. Fridge wasnt cold or turned up. The reservation was for a king size bed and we got two queens. The coffee maker was dirty with mold in it. There were no condiments for coffee. They only provided 2 sets of towels
Randy (10/5): - I've driven past this motel several times thinking it looks like a nice little place. And I was right, it feels so comfy the minute you open the door. You kind of feel like you're walking into a log cabin of sorts. It was the MOST comfortable bed i have ever slept on and i stay at hotels at least 40-50 times a year for work.

Jeremy (4/5): Back killing beds - Hotel beds were horrible, felt like I was sleeping in a sinkhole, Beds are old and sag in the middle really bad. Couldn’t hardly sleep and my back was hurting the next day.
Angelia (8/5): - Never stayed a property like this, you know, the one where you park in front of your room. Come to find out, we’ve been missing out! This motel is cleaner than I definitely thought it would be. It also had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had during my travels. If ever in this area again, we will definitely stay!!! Cheryl (8/5): - Hotel was very nice. Very comfortable beds and very clean. We can in a thunderstorm and the electricity was out, but the management had our room ready and a key in the door waiting for us. Bit was so nice as it was really raining.

Cathy (8/5): Pleasantly surprised with the room! - We were pleasantly surprised with the updated room. Would’ve been nice to have some coffee for the coffee pot that was in the room. And an extra roll of toilet paper would’ve been a good idea. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Kerry (6/5): A Vintage Place - This was a blast from the past kind of motel. It wasn't a top-notch place, but it had a nice vintage vibe. It was very clean, but it didn't have some of the features I expect from a motel -- things like a closet (or at least a hook) on which to hang clothes on hangers, or extra pillows on the bed (two standard size pillows were provided on the kind bed).

keary (8/5): Paramount Music Fest in nearby Waubeka - This is an old-school style motel with updated rooms with modern flooring, shower and amenities il.e. AC, TV, fridge etc. This makes it a fun blast from the past. Manager and/or Owner is nice man. Had a full house on this Sat. It is along a fairly busy four lane HWY 57. Restaurant building next to it is now being remodeled as a Mexican food non-chain which will be a + when open. That is right next to a Citgo convenience store. Motel is about half mile outside of limits of village Random Lake. Motel is nice especially if staying in the area-beats driving further-and reasonable rate. Parking spots not clearly shown and someone parked in ours for Room 28 so we had to park in someone else's spot. That person left B4 us in am and staff thought we were gone with no car in front--so knocked at about 10am.but we were awake already. No big deal. Decent stay only 5 miles from outdoor blues music event at Waubeka Fire Dept Hall facility and parking lot being rented by the Paramount Music Assoc main operators.
Steve (10/5): Good, clean, and affordable room - Easy access right off highway made our stay easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Stayed one night, will stay again when needed.
