Accessible room had plenty of pull bars in bath and shower. Balcony overlooked the pool and out into the bay. Very comfortable and clean. Would love to come back when pool is open as there was a bar, grill and firepit at the pool. Would definitely return.

- Donna (8/5): Lovely hotel! - The view from the room was gorgeous!! The property was well-maintained & very clean, especially the bathroom. We were woken multiple times by noise from neighboring rooms. I was sharing a room with my son, and didn’t want to wake him by turning on the light/ dialing the front desk—only to find out in the morning that our neighbors kept him awake, too. Maybe you could walk the halls occasionally to address excess noise during sleep hours?

- Kelsey (10/5): Great location for family stay - This is a wonderful hotel for exploring Chincoteague and the wildlife refuge. The room was very large with two queens and a pull out sofa. It was so nice having all of that space since we were traveling with three adults and two children. We had great service and breakfast. I love the styling of the hotel. It was quiet and comfortable.

- acanfld (10/5): Hospitality Done Right - I don’t typically write reviews, but my recent stay at Marina Bay Hotel & Suites in Chincoteague warrants one. I booked a short visit and ended up extending my stay — which speaks for itself. The accommodations were consistently clean and well maintained. Not just surface tidy, but genuinely cared for. The room was comfortable, quiet, and conducive to real rest. What truly stood out, however, was the staff. From housekeeping to the front desk, every interaction was professional, warm, and efficient without being intrusive. There’s a steady competence to the way the property operates. The General Manager, Sabeer, clearly sets that tone. It shows. The on-site café is not an afterthought — it’s a genuine asset. When they say they have the “best wings on Chincoteague,” they’re speaking the truth. The wings were meaty and succulent, served with crisp celery and proper ranch. The salads were equally impressive. No filler leaves, no tired edges — just the best parts of the lettuce, always fresh and crisp. The Caesar, made with baby romaine, was both delicious and beautifully presented. The Cobb was thoughtfully assembled and just as satisfying. Even something as simple as a cheeseburger and fries was done exactly right. Portions were generous enough that I happily brought leftovers back to my room for lunch the next day — and they held up beautifully. It’s rare to find a hotel where both the hospitality and the food feel intentional. Marina Bay delivered on both. I would not hesitate to return.

We could see through the marina out to the water and just around the corner was the pool. The breakfast serving room was large and had plenty of room to move around. The dining area was exceptional - spacious and had a comfortable feel with different types of seating, something to appeal to everyone. The entrance is decorated in a nautical theme and has a beautiful floor-to-ceiling wood relief art piece depicting nautical flags that reads "Welcome and Enjoy". The best part about our stay was the staff. The Manager, Suzy, Sabbir, Alice, and many others {I don't know their names} were very warm, friendly, and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay fun during a pretty hectic week! They treated us like family and we were very sad to leave. We look forward to seeing them on our next trip! Small things - our front door stuck and was hard to open. A request had been put in to fix it. The tub didn't drain well and the bathroom could use an exhaust fan. On the positive though, the water pressure was great and we always had clean towels! We were there during the Chincoteague pony swim's 100th anniversary, a VERY hectic week for the entire island so, all in all, these things did NOT affect our stay. The value of a stay is not just in the property, but also the quality of the staff. We had so many questions as first-timers on the island, and the Marina Bay's staff was the BEST!

- Michael (6/5): Disappointing on my anniversary weekend - The view from the pool was great, the bed very comfortable. I emailed about an early check in and was emailed back they would try to accommodate that morning. At 11 am I arrived and was told check in is at 4 but leave phone number and they would try to get me in by 2. at 4:30 I went to the desk and was to the last room was just done ?? I had booked a room with a view, my view was the front parking lot. Will not use this hotel ever again especially since a better hotel was .2 miles closer to all action and never received a phone call about the room. Would not recommend.

- robertsJ2955CH (10/5): Very Comfortable Stay - Stayed two nites and both were very pleasant. Liked the facility, a boutique hotel, looking & functioning better than the chain hotel nice. Design reflects expertise & diligence to detail. Nice water & sunset views. Used the lounge each evening for draft beer (several on tap) and very large crab cakes. Pleasant atmosphere. Their greatest asset is their employees. Each and everyone of was efficient & genuinely friendly, more so than the professional friendly most often found in hotels. Happy to stay there again.

- corlissb727 (10/5): The Henry's Wedding Anniversary - We decided to spend our wedding anniversary at another hotel. Upon arrival, we learned that our room was changed from an over the water bungalow to a floating bungalow. I have severe motion sickness and there were no over the water bungalows available for our length of stay. We had planned this trip months in advance. While I was having a total meltdown in the car, my husband stopped at this hotel. Casey, the desk attendant listened to my husband explain our dilemma. She and Ishant, the hotel manager worked together and booked us in a spacious room with a panoramic view of the water. Feeling tired and stressed, we ate in the Marina's bar area. Ishant and the Chef served us a tasty meal with the most DELICIOUS strawberry smith island cake for desert. We had candlelight dinner along with Ishant, Casey and the Chef who sung happy anniversary to us. This goes to show the best hotel stays can be the unplanned ones. Thank you all for making our wedding anniversary a memorable one. We most definitely highly recommend this hotel to travelers looking for great hospitality.

Breakfast was not good, powdered eggs, no fresh fruit, minimal healthy choices. We stayed 1 night. Hotel is average at best.

- Gerry (8/5): - My husband and stayed here to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. I chose this hotel because of the other great reviews. Everything stood up to the test. This place is gorgeous and mostly clean. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The pool and fire pits were nice. The only reason I held back a star was our room was infested with ants. We didn't notice how bad it was until the last morning. At first we noticed one or two but by the third day it became clear that there was a much bigger problem. When we checked out we notified the staff. They apologized profusely. We live in Virginia and know that ants can be hard to keep under control. All in all it was fantastic! Thank you. We will likely be back.

The staff was unsmiling (except for one gentleman) and seemed put upon. No maid service our last night there. The cafe was also unfriendly and unwelcoming.

But nice place I would stay there again
- Nadiah (8/5): 1 Night at Marina Bay - Easy check-in, spacious room, nice balcony view. The bed sheets were slightly stained in areas and not that comfortable. The concierge on duty was always available and nice. Driving distance from the nearest beach, and walking distance from a few local restaurants.
