- Jason (6/5): Housekeeping to be improved. - Check in & check out was quick & easy. Visible stains on bed sheet was replaced after informing housekeeping. Shower area need a door to keep water from splashing outwards to other area within the toilet. No hand towel. A few more hooks inside the toilet would be good instead of just 2 hooks for clothings. Mini fridge works well. A good selection of food nearby hotels like McDonalds, KFC, Pizza & local eateries.

We left our luggage at Changi airport Singapore and the staff at the hotel was very helpful. The pool was very fun for kids. Will definitely come back here one day.

Request for clean the room at mrng...when back in the evening the room was not cleaned.. The door bell n room cleaning switch is not in order. Pipe is leaking ...toilet bowl area so smelly. When room boy clean the room n change the towels he gv me the new towel set tog with the floor mad. The towels are same colour with floor mad.... The coffee cups are worst.. the dark stain glasses..ask him to get new set...he picked up from next door....only the receptionist are friendly...thank you

- lynt568 (4/5): Poor Housekeeping - During my telephone reservation, I had requested that the cleanliness of both the junior suites I had booked be ensured because of our medical needs. Though I was given the assurance that this would be looked into, we were extremely disappointed. During check-in, I reiterated my request and the FO lady assured us the housekeeper has checked and was waiting at the rooms for us to highlight areas that might need further attention. The housekeeper was indeed visible once the lift door opened but hastily pointed towards the direction of the rooms and vanished. We went into the room and found dirt, strands of hair in the toilet (weren't visible on carpet flooring so I cannot ascertain if the living / bedroom areas were vacuumed). I tried calling the housekeeping department repeatedly to no avail and we then had to clean up the place ourselves. Before heading out, I had informed FO that there wasn't anymore tissue paper and requested for some. Returned to the room and saw an extra roll of toilet paper instead. Tried calling housekeeping but to no avail and went personally down to FO then headed out of the hotel. Returned to the room again to find another toilet roll instead of the tissue paper. Called housekeeping and you guessed right! Called FO and reiterated the words Tissue Paper 3x and I was relieved the tissue paper was finally delivered. The toilet is really dirty - plenty of visible stains on the toilet bowl, walls, glass door, basin, sink, flooring and shower area. My skin cringed being in that toilet. Pillows had an awful stench. We ended up taking our own towels to lay above the pillows. To confirm my suspicion that the room is only cleaned on the surface, found greasy stains in the fridge and a feedback form from a previous guest still in the hotel's folder meant for guests. We survived on antihistamines to survive the poor hygiene of the place and my husband's asthma was triggered as a result of the dusty and dirty conditions. My daughter who was in the other room was scratching till the antihistamine took effect while my mum who was in that room too found it hard to sleep well because of the smelly pillows. It's no rocket science as to why I gave up calling FO / housekeeping. We had originally planned to stay in JB for 2 days but booked the suites for a night to try it out first and are glad we did so. The location is ideal for our needs and thus we wanted to give V8 a try, especially since we learnt the original nationality of her owner(s). Terribly disappointed though and sincerely hope the hotel will improve as I am confident that it's certainly more deserving than this if the feedback falls on the ears of the right people.
- CherylRamas (2/5): Lack of customer service and responsibility - We booked a family suite for 2 nights. We have family in Johor so we travel there quite often. Having stayed there before, we knew that the location itself is good, with many eateries around. It is a 10 min drive away from big shopping malls. The suite was spacious but not very clean. The sink had a bad stench which I suspect could have come from the sink being clogged up. Our package included daily breakfasts from 7am to 10am. On the first morning, we had breakfast at the ground floor cafe at 7.20am. As my husband was settling our young kids at the table, I walked over to the buffet line to get some food for my kids. I had a bad fall as I realised that the floor right in front of the buffet table was very wet. The floor tiles were smooth so the wet floor was very slippery. I asked the server why on earth the floor would be this wet at this hour, knowing that it was breakfast timing. He didnt reply and quickly mopped the floor. My husband went over to look and was equally shocked at the state of the floor. They quickly proceeded to put a blower to dry the floor. My husband approached the reception to look for the manager and was told that he would not be in till after 1pm. The pains started happening that very afternoon as we were out. I started bruising on my lower back, my right foot and thigh. We asked the hotel if they had any hotel doctor and was told no. They also said that the hotel manager and f&b manager was different so the hotel manager would be unable to assist. I went to the nearby doctor who suggested that my bruise was bad and would be better off going to the private hospital. Meanwhile, all the hotel said they could give us was a complimentary dinner buffet which we declined. We also did not go to the buffet breakfast at the hotel the next day. Till our check-out, the hotel made NO ATTEMPT to check on my condition nor offer any other resolution. The hotel is not customer-centric. I would not recommend to stay here anymore given our bad experience. Easily one of our worsts hotel stays in Johor.

- Deividz (4/5): 1 night family trip - Pros 1. Car park provided. 2. Kids like the Swimming pool. Probably the saving grace of the stay. 3. Location around has many eateries. Cons 1. Wifi is virtually at a snail’s pace. Unbelievable for a hotel in this era. 2. No pool towels. Need to bring your room towels down. My kids were freezing after shower even though we called housekeeping the min we got back. Poor planning. Not guest focused. 3. Paid extra for breakfast but should have just had it at the many choices within 5min walk. Even worse, aircon vents were dripping water. Not sure why restaurant staff only cleaned part of it. 4. Gym is old and barely usable. The KSL hotels are way way better than V8. Yes, I haven’t added the 4/5 stars hotels yet. For families thinking that this is a great hotel to chill, please check recent guest pics instead of hotel pics. I should have gone to Natural hotel for a family room instead....
- firyana (10/5): Best hotel - Stayed there for 3 nights. Best decision ever. Room is clean. Bed super comfy. The pool is the best as they have kiddy pool with slides for kids. That way parents can enjoy their swim. Check in was a little slow. But surely i will come by again soon. Wonder if they offer in room birthday decoration though 🤔

- Sreydy (8/5): Comfortable sleep - Stayed there for two nights in March. Hotel itself was beautiful surrounding by many small food stores and restaurants as well. The place was clean. Breakfast was kinda buffet, not really good but just okay. As it was a big hotel and guests came time, food finished very soon. The service should be quicker for breakfast for example, we were on tour so we didn’t have much time to wait.

I had a room with window, so it look quite bright. The bed is comfy enough. The breakfast is everage with limited option, but i am ok with that because i dont eat much in the morning. But the bad thing about this hotel was about wifi. It did not working at al in the room for our whole floor. I called the receptionist many time, they insisted that the issue come from my phone and asked me to reset my phone. I did reset my phone for few time, my friends on same floor with me did the same thing. But it was still not working. This hotel really should maintain their wifi, because the hotel is nice by itself.

- calistayong249 (10/5): A Wonderful Experience - I have been to Skudai many times and always stayed in hotels at Bukit Indah. This time I stayed at Nusa Bestari area at V8 Hotel. Well, the experience was great. Rooms were comfy and clean. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast on the Ground floor was sumptuous and lots of variety which was hot and tasty. I even tried their Buffet Dinner which was really good with the Malay Traditional Food. Lots to eat and we enjoyed our dinner. The kids enjoyed the pool as there was a kids playground which I only find it in V8 Hotel. The other Hotels that I stayed had no such Kids facility. I must stress that I find this Hotel in a superb location and surrounding with lots of local and fast food. Very convenient and rest be assured, I will definitely be back with the family again and again. This will be our preferred choice of Hotel when we are in JB.

- Ngoctrang51 (8/5): Good facilities - It is quite good hotel but the wifi was very slow and we couldn't use it in the room. Staff were very friendly and welcome us all the time with smiles. Breakfast had many options for Asian Food and drink with a small swimming pool next to sitting area. Nearby had many restaurant for street food with cheap price even though it was not a city central.

- walkeattalkV (2/5): Everything broke down on us - The worst hotel I have ever been. --The rainfall shower head fell on me mid shower (see pic) --Power blackout in the evening. So no aircon and wifi hence I left the hotel for a walk. --When I came back at night, the door sensor stopped working which took them 20 mins to fix so I had to stand in the hallway as they try to fix it. --After which there was no electricity in the room for the next 20 mins. Hence, I had to sit in a dark and airconless room. The only thing the staff had to say was "sorry". To be clear, 1 of the staff was sympathetic but the rest offered minimal help and reluctant apologies. The manager was nowhere to be seen - whom I have asked to speak with 3 times during my 1 night stay.

The last stayed when check in the room toilet and has clean up and have to move to other room. The recent stay, when wake up don't have water supply and asked when will have the water ..and get the expected answer not so sure and our techician is doing on it. It is fine.. then asking what is the contingency plan? Answer is I'm waiting for my Manager. Then I requested for aditional mineral water to clen up myself they only give me 2 x 500ml mineral water. So I use 4x 500ml to clean up myself....additional the room.wall paper start peel off.

- JanP3974 (6/5): Value for money, really huge family rooms - We stayed here several times last year. It provides parking space and is one of the few hotels in the city center that has family rooms. Their family rooms are really spacious. Good customer service too (although one time it took us almost one hour to check in eventhough it was past 4pm already). Breakfast area is right next to the lobby and it’s an open area with poor exhaust system so even if you’re at the lobby, the odor from the restaurant (mostly sambal and curry) gets to you.

- Grace (6/5): Overall good - Toilet seat has some stains for both rooms that I have booked. Wifi is so slow that I can barely go onto the internet. A little sad that the swimming pool and gym were closed during my 2 nights stay ): Other than that, it is really comfy for a short stay!

Sad to leave.. 😁 Only these 2 things to take note of. 1. Bedroom wasn’t cold enough on first night but the fixed it for the second night. 2. Water flow in shower not strong enough and water wasn’t hot for long. Could have been a even better stay if not for these. Hope we are upgraded on every stay with you.

- ah bee (8/5): Nice stay - Overall the hotel is quite good. The staff is friendly. We check in on Friday and check out on Sunday. We are lucky and upgraded from deluxe king to junior suite. My kids quite like the room as the room is bigger. The room is quite clean n bed is comfy. My kids also like the kids pool as the pool have slide. There is a dim sum restaurant opposite the hotel. Macdonald n KFC also within walking distance.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Short Getaway - Nice little clean hotel with many food eateries around the vicinity. Strange for the refund of deposit requirements via credit card takes unusually long.... once tourist left it is a hassle if there is any disputes later.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Got it as a last minute deal but it was so worth it. The bed was huge and the room was clean overall. The staff were polite as well. But the location was a little off but you are always able to find food around if you're willing to walk a little ( 5-10mins). Loklok and also fast food restaurants all around.

- Hani (10/5): Satisfied. Worth the money - At first i booked deluxe room. Then on the day I came to check in they told me deluxe room is fulled and they upgrade my room to Junior Suite which is bigger and no additional charge at all. Room is clean even though the aircond takes longer time to get cold. Very comfort bed and pillow. The hotel also surrounded with lot of facilities. No worries about finding food or chores. Overall me and my family satisfied with V8 Hotel and will repeat to come here again.
- DAVID (10/5): Very nice modern hotel - highly recommend. - Newer hotel with infinity pool area, well-equipped exercise room, and full service restaurant with an excellent and value-priced rotating menu daily lunch buffet. Highly recommend this hotel. Receive an upgrade fro the Manager just for politely asking.
- fara (10/5): PERFECT - Arrived JB from KL arounf 9 pm. the staffs were friendly and helpful. we get free upgrade to a family suite which I found really thoughtful. The room is spacious, clean. Various channel on TV , good breakfast. thank you so much, my family and I had a pleasant stay at V8.
- Ong (8/5): Room not ready until after 5pm - Room was still not ready at 4pm even though official check-in time is 3pm. Counter staff were not friendly and ignored me when I returned a 2nd time. In the end, successful check-in after 5pm and was upgraded to junior suite which was a consolation. Room was big and very comfortable.
