- stephberman57 (10/5): Amazing Sapphire Motel - Stayed at the amazing Sapphire Motel for 5 days and found it charming, welcoming with friendly staff, clean, perfect location, quiet, many ammenities (coffee, tea, relaxing rooms for visitors, free library, etc). The location was perfect!!!! Such an easy walk to downtown Bozeman and many wonderful restaurants soooo close by! Will definately stay here again in the future! Steph and Norm
- anthonynemcek (10/5): Great homebase for a ski trip. - The Sapphire Motel was our homebase during a weeklong ski trip. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby on our drives to Big Sky and Bridger Bowl. The fact it is a motel was super convenient for us to bring our gear into the room at night from our car right outside. The onsite laundry was appreciated. Housekeeping visited every day. Definitely a great value with an awesome vintage vibe.
- kirstenwS8253JP (10/5): Spotlessly clean, beautifully rehabbed throwback - Wow! This is a refresh done right. They've taken a classic roadside motel and completely redone the rooms inside and out. The room furnishings are all new, quality products with a midcentury theme. The bed is new and super comfy. Friendly front desk who seemed genuinely happy to be here and aware of how special the property is. Everything in the room is new and spotless. There is no "old motel" musty smell or rehab corner-cutting. Very impressive.

Then when you go in your sleeping room, it is exactly the same feeling everything here is awesome. I would stay here over and over and over. The price was excellent as well. The only thing in our room is, we had a slow draining tub, but would that prevent me from staying here NEVER. Please check it out. It is perfect especially for us baby boomers.

- Judy (10/5): - I must admit I was a bit uncertain when booking this hotel, and hesitated whether I should go with a reliable hotel brand. I put my trust in the reviews and it paid off! When we pulled up and my husband and I saw “the old motel style” I got a bit nervous, especially since we were traveling with another couple. The end result was everyone was excited to see the 50’s style and car in front, and the owners did an awesome job in their renovation with their retro 50’s feel. The lobby was fun, provided high quality local coffee, and Donna was super friendly and helpful in providing dinner recommendations. The room was very clean and comfortable, and having a refrigerator and microwave was very helpful. The location was perfect, a quick drive just a few blocks to a vibrant strip offering great quality restaurants, and a 15 min drive to the airport. I was glad that I didn’t book a boring chain by the airport!

Enjoy a quiet stay with no one running down the hall outside your room, no noisy elevator shaft and no heavy footfalls from the guest above you--because there is no guest above you. There's a nice grassy area with lawn furniture for sitting outside as well. Everything was super comfortable and convenient, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location perfect for accessing the downtown. We highly recommend!!

The motel room had good space and was very clean. The king bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the window A/C was inefficient and in need of repair or replacement. The unit made very loud intermittent noises that sounded like someone attempting to enter the door.

- Lee (8/5): - The Sapphire has a lot of cute and thoughtful details and amenities, which make it unique! The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, it is not an a cute location,, like downtown. Although you can walk 5-10 minutes to get downtown.. it also has poor sound insulation between rooms
- Scott (10/5): - This is my fourth time staying at the Sapphire. It is a super friendly, clean, comfortable, and retro hotel that is just so unique you will definitely go back.

- 817reazm (10/5): Splendid Standout! - You may not accrue Hyatt or Bonvoy points at this lovingly restored motor court, but the restful stay and unique memory dividends far outclass national corporate brand hospitality. There are just so many subtle and beautiful touches from the lush courtyard with swings to the book swap in the coffee room serving excellent locally roasted brew. We loved the retro room decor, and the spacious bathroom had sparkling fixtures and a strong hot shower. Whatever the sign says, this is no ordinary “motel.” Would stay again in a heartbeat!
- Emily46217 (10/5): Super fun place to stay - This place is adorable! We went as part of my 50th birthday trip and we even stayed in room 50! My only complaint is that the shower was awkward. Like they had to install the door backwards because of the cramped space so it was difficult getting in and out of. The room was fantastic. I wish we had more time there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! - We loved staying at the Sapphire! Bummed to have stayed only 1 night. The decor was absolutely awesome and nothing was left behind. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. It’s also a great location where you can walk to downtown Bozeman. Highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Bozeman!

- Fred (8/5): Good 50s vibe - Very thorough attention to 50s decor. Nicely done. I thought it was a bit expensive otherwise for a basic motel room without breakfast, pool, gym, hot tub, etc.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Love the Saphire! So clean, comfortable, and well-provisioned. Short walk to downtowns restaurants, even closer to Genuine Ice Cream, and some great breakfast or brewery spots. We spent two nights, and went back for a third after a canceled flight. What a great spot.

- William (10/5): - My wife and I have turned away from chain hotels on our road trips, preferring to stay at independent motels. The Sapphire is top-flight! There is no doubt where would spend the night when we make our way back to Bozeman.
- Shellycooks (10/5): Super cool throwback - We booked two nights at the end of July as the tail end of our Montana adventure. From the second we saw the sign we had smiles on our faces. The Sapphire is a 1950-60’s throwback but with all the modern technology you need. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We got upgraded to a suite and the bed was super comfy, room spacious and the courtyard was so pretty- swings, a grill, gazebo, lots of sitting areas and even a trunk of lawn games. The bathroom mirror had a touchscreen light, Bluetooth and defroster, which we’d never seen before. The motel is on a main road but at the back is a path that leads you to an adorable neighborhood that’s only about 3-4 blocks from downtown, so no need to drive to town in good weather. I hope we get to go back to the beautiful state of Montana again, and if we do we’ll be staying at the Sapphire.

- Marcus (10/5): - Very fantastically unique motel. Close to MSU and downtown Bozeman. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We stayed one night in a room and woke the next morning to a screaming baby- they moved us down to a similar room and we enjoyed the rest of our stay without hearing the baby! Spacious rooms and great detail. Loved how it was arranged and decorated. Closet was big with shareable space. They provide a steamer to straighten out those wrinkles too! Loved the game room and the drinks that were provided. We were able to celebrate our college student’s birthday there and it felt like a private space! We played games and cut the cake- it felt like we had gone back in time! Food trucks park right across the street for walk to meals options.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Not our cup of Tea! - It was an ok room. Style was Not our cup of tea though. Nice we could park right outside our room. Bathroom floors were a bit dirty. We knew going in what the vibe was going to be. We thought it was a bit over priced for what it was. We did enjoy the area. Found a brewery with good food in an old school building and they had a band. Really enjoyed this.

Spacious room. Comfy bed. Good lighting. Black out shade hidden behind coordinating drapes. This is an overlooked gem!

- josephbL9594GD (10/5): Took Me Back in Time to Family Vacations in the late 1950’s—Loved Every Minute - I was looking forward to our stay since I saw this place on the Internet and made the reservations!! Wow!!! I had high expectations and the Sapphire exceeded them by a wide margin. Oh my gosh, Megan was amazing as was her replacement behind the welcome (check-in desk) the next morning. Megan made us feel like long-time friends and her excitement over our excitement regarding our rooms and lobby area was lots of fun. When I was a kid, our last roadtrip before my Dad died in 1959 was to St. Pete, Florida. I have vivid memories of our stays along the roadways and the Sapphire happily brought them all back. Plus, we had such a kick with my wife and I demonstrating rotary dial telephones to our grandkids. The rooms were huge and the beds were super comfortable. Yikes, got to mention the furnishings which could have come out of my Mom’s house circa early 1960’s. Fun, Fun and more Fun.
