- Clive (10/5): A wonderful experience, extremely helpful staff, excellent food beautiful grounds and pool. We will return! - Everything

- Gor (10/5): A very good hotel with excellent service and restaurant - This hotel is clearly one of the best south of Dumaguete. The rooms are a good size, there is a beautiful large swimming pool with a pleasant lawn, a safe, a small refrigerator, good Wi-Fi, and comfortable beds. The restaurant has a fairly varied menu and the food is delicious.
There is a comfortable desk for working on a computer.
The hotel has its own diving company, but the prices for diving are high. However, the boat will go out in any case, and the diving is very well organized.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast is good and varied. This cannot be improved, but it is important to keep in mind that there is no beach — the hotel grounds are right next to the sea and separated by a concrete barrier. There is a pleasant sound and view of the waves, but you cannot swim in the sea if it is rough.
It's nice to sit in the restaurant with the waves crashing a few meters away.
You also need to understand that there is nowhere else to be except in your room and on the hotel grounds, so there is a certain feeling of confinement. I don't know if it's possible to create an artificial beach, but it would certainly be great if it could be done.
- Ulrich (9/5): Sehr empfehlenswert -
- Helling (8/5): - helt ok
- Heinz (9/5): Kommen gerne wieder.
- miles (8/5): - simple but wonderful
- Clive (10/5): Wonderful, we return soon - Everything
- Teresa (8/5): A place to go to of you want to escape the busy and noisy city. - I’ve always come to this place every time I’m on vacation simply because of the quietness and the peaceful atmosphere. I love that they allowed pets as I didn’t want to leave my dog at home. The staff were friendly. The bathroom is big and they have a huge glass window that’s facing some sort of private garden which I find cool. The bed was too hard for me. It was not comfortable as I have back problems. The food was not as good as couple of years ago. They used to have a really good chef.
- Tom De Greve (9/5): -
- Gary (10/5): Everyone was very organized, professional, polite, the swimming pool was spacious and sparkling. - Breakfast was very good, many choices. The fresh sliced Pineapple was the best I ever had in the Philippines. It was export quality. There’s a new selection of wonderful French wines. “Parting is such sweet sorrow.” There’s new Wi-Fi tickets, I was given one that expired in 8 hours time. It’s very crowded on a Sunday when there’s a “brownout” (blackout). Be sure to reserve a restaurant table.
- Jona (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!
- Ferdinand (9/5): Relaxing - Breakfast needs a little improvement. More choice of food os most welcome.
- William (10/5): I would certainly return knowing my guests would love to spend time there. - The resort was very comfortable to stay without feeling the need to leave. Great kitchen, menu, drink options. Pool was very nice. Professional staff that solved all my concerns.
- Martin (10/5): Relaxing stay in paradise - Well presented, beautiful resort with very friendly staff
- Vanhef (8/5): Very good - This place is a gem! Service is great...Food was delish and staff was very attentive to all our needs.room are very spacious and so was the bathroom... Value for money definitely!! Will choose this resort for future vacations.
- Erica (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing. The grounds, the dive guides and dive boat, the rooms, air con, all the staff were lovely and the food is awesome. Recommend and will definitely be back Nothing at all
- Elyse (9/5): Superb -
- John (9/5): The highlight of a great holiday - The food was excellent with a great variety to choose from be it French, Continental or Filipino and very reasonably priced.
The room and attached bathroom were very spacious and well appointed.
The pool was big enough to actually be able to swim in.
The diving/snorkelling trip was a most pleasurable experience with the staff ever so caring and helpful.
Other tours offered such as hiking were well organised providing another unique experience I wished for better lighting in the room since I like reading before going to sleep and that was impossible under the current regime.
What's wrong with a bedside table lamp?
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurent (10/5): Exceptional - Large and well equipped room (we stay in Guimaras room), good quality of bed mattress.
Many choices of foods and wines at restaurant. Helpful & smiling waitress & staff.
The diving was very interesting and rich in discovery of species. Thanks to the guides and Cédric for sharing this, making/sharing photos. I will come back here without hesitation.
Also have massages done by professionals.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Des (10/5): Fabulous relaxing stay the pool was amazing right on the beach view of Apo Island. - I had the breakfast and it was very nice. I also ate in Tropika restaurant just outside the entrance and fould the food at this restaurant to be reasonable and exceptional quality too. Nothing I would happily stay there again
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): - Staff was great. Dive shop and staff was very good. Only suggestion is to improve menu selections. I would stay there again. wou
- Ocubillo (7/5): Good - The staff were friendly & helpful. the hotel price is high
- Niall (10/5): - This is a resort with a big heart. We loved the beautiful and quiet grounds, the friendly staff, the comfortable rooms with great views, and the extensive food and drinks menu that never failed to please. Oh, and it has a great pool and WiFi too. On the Wednesday morning of our stay we walked three minutes along the beach to the colourful Malatapay market.
- Desiree (10/5): - Great resort, friendly staff, good food and very good diving experience.
Boatcrew and diveguided were the best we had during our stay in the Philippines. Loved the fact that you can combine great muckdiving and beautiful reefs at Apo.
Would definitly stay here again! Recommended for divers!

- Captain (9/5): The good and the bad - Well situated next to the ocean. Nice and neat quiet resort.Well Well-kept gardens. Very spacious rooms. There were not many options given for diving locations as there are many nice dive spots on the coast. But the only boat dives on offer were to Apo Island. Out of 6 days, 2 days bad weather ,4 days Apo Island. Coastal dives on offer were only on house reef. I am sure more effort could have been made to arrange shore dives along the coast without a boat. Guides are friendly and helpful. Overall, the dives were great.
- Scott (10/5): Dive Into Thalatta Resort - I loved the rooms and hot shower. I loved the restaurant and pool. I loved the chef specials! The location was great(near diving and Apo Island excursions. The property is immaculate. Nothing
- Johannes (9/5): High standard calm place - Real hotel standard i.e. large bathroom, good water preassure, large nice room, efficient aircondition, good beds, safe box, refrigerator wifi etc. We got a room at the second floor, with a large calm private balcony, where it was amazingly nice to sit in the evenings. The best thing about this hotel is that they do not play pop music at the restaurant as they do in 9 out of 10 hotels and restaurants in the Philippines. So there is not this infernal noice that you have to live with at most hotels in the Philippines. The standard at the restaurant is higher than most places we tried in the area, and it is beautiful and calm to eat there. The hotel has an agreement with an American who rent scooters. We got a nearly new scooter and new helmets at a low price. There are no beautiful beaches in the area, but when it is not windy you can swim in front of the hotel and at a small beach left to the hotel. The hotel arrange tours to Apo Island where it is nice to snorkel or diving. Normally I am very critical when I rate hotels, but it is really difficult to find anything negative to write about this hotel.
- Chris (9/5): Beautiful resort with great, friendly staff and a fun snorkelling adventure tour! - The trees and plants around the resort made it very beautiful and accommodating. The staff were very friendly and even helped me surprise my girlfriend with a special dinner table set up and a cake. The ham and cheese sandwich I had for the pack lunch was amazing The hot tub was not working and looked to have been drained.
- Gian (8/5): Very good -
- Vyacheslav (9/5): Good choice for the Apo Island tour - Distant location in a quiet area. We really liked the tour to Apo Island that hotel organizes; it also includes the lunch box you can choose yourself from several options. Restaurant and bar were very good with decent prices. The bathroom and the toilet didn't seem clean. The drinking water is not included, we had to buy it ourselves.
- Marah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michel (8/5): Very good -
- Anne-sophie (10/5): Perfect resort to relax and watch the sea turtles! - The resort is really fantastic! The staff is well organized and very kind. The food is very delicious (we tried almost all the dishes on the menu - fresh products/ well cooked and top service). The smimming pool in the middle of the resort is very enjoyable and you can easily access the small beach/ sea which is just at the foot of the resort. The rooms are quite big and clean. The clients are mainly divers so the surrounding is very quiet (during daytime and also at night). It is very relaxing.
The staff also helped us to organize a tour to Dumaguete and another one to Apo island to see the sea turtles. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommand the resort! nothing
- Gerardo (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Jack (10/5): All elements work together - We have stayed here multiple times. It's quiet, relaxing, and well run. They have room service, and lots of activity options (like snorkeling at apo island which is great). Most of all, their service is consistent (good), so you can count on a relaxing getaway with good food and a nice room.
- Imelda (10/5): - Had a great stay. Very reasonable rates. Staff is exceptionally nice. Had a massage everyday and it was wonderful. Water pressure is strong and has very hot water for the showers. Breakfast selections were good. I like that we had the option to add to the continental breakfast. I kinda wished there was a coffee kettle in the room though. Breakfast was not open until 7am so it would have been nice to drink a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise at 5am.
I am not sure if there was any water dispenser available in the property for us to refill out water bottles but that would be a great add to the amenities. Maybe they did but I did not ask. I just took water bottles from the fridge.
They do not have a lot of beach area but it was low tide when we were there so I was able to get in the water. A few rocks on the shore but once in the water, it was sandy. Lots of waves but that is what made it more fun.
Otherwise, a great experience and will definitely book again.
- Monika (9/5): Superb -
- Marion (7/5): Nice place to stay near Dauin - Globally, the resort is nice, with comfy and quiet rooms, beautiful view on Apo Island, nice swimming pool. And the staff is really nice.
The restaurant is very tasty (try the fresh sashimi, adobo chicken or chocolate mousse, they are amazing !) However, the resorts looks a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom strongly smells humidity.
- Attila1313 (10/5): A beautiful Resort on the beach just 30 Minutes drive from Dumaguete ! - This diving resort has 16 very comfortable not too big but very nice rooms . Your rooms are on the beachfrotn which are amazing . Since the owner is a very kind european guy, you can trust the quality of this resort . The big pool is amazing with salty water and wonderful trees and nature you have in front of your rooms . The price is perfect , you can not wish better place to stay if you come to Dumaguette ! nothing to complain , everything was perfect
- Michael (8/5): Best resort we've stayed at. - Loved almost everything. And if we had a issue it was solved. Really loved the diving. Recommend to everyone Took a long time to receive our food from the restaurant. But we over looked this because everything else was fantastic.
- carl (10/5): I'd week treat - Staff and owner very friendly, resort is very clean and tidy, well maintained, pool very clean.rooms clean modern and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): emor - We stayed here 8 years ago. Wanted to come back and bring my girls. Due to Covid, the resort was almost empty, which was good and safe. The food was just ok, but overall a nice holiday
- Jenny (10/5): - A great place to be based for amazing diving. The staff are all lovely and helpful, especially the dive guides. Everything is clean and comfortable and the breakfast included in your room cost is very good. There is pretty much everything you could need at the hotel.
Only downside for me was the cost, especially of the day trips that aren't dive related. For a solo traveller they charge double which I get but seems unfair to penalise someone travelling alone (save yourself a lot of money and DIY by googling ways of getting to attractions online). Also would've liked to see tea and coffee in the room but overall it was worth it and I'd 100% return and recommend.
- Wayne (10/5): - Well worth the money
- JustinSevilla (10/5): - I liked that the pool was set amidst a lush tropical garden and there were lots of places to lounge. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice menu. The rooms were clean also.
- Verified traveler (8/5): good for diving - Very well situated for diving which was amazing. People working there were always smiling and nice and the food was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pleasant staff. Good service
- Songyi (2/5): Swimming pool needs deep clean maintenance. - We chose this resort to go to Apo Islands the next day. We thought we can enjoy the view of the ocean and swimming pool. There are a lot of dust and other stuff floating around, and the next day, our slippers, once soaked in the pool and swimming suits smelled terribly aweful. The restaurant inside the resort was very expensive with small portion, almost triple of the normal restaurant. There are no decent restaurants near the resort. You need to expect to spend some money here for the food. The room was nice though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): My stay was very nice, the staff was great. - All was good, but the internet was not good at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): peace & quiet - wish they could put firmer mattress for a more comfy sleep
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent staff and food was great! Close to Apo Island!
- Jose A (8/5): Nice pool & great location - The resort is situated in almost a direct view of Apo Island. The island can be viewed from the pool, restaurant & some rooms serving as background for that perfect instapic. they also have their own large boat used to traverse to the island for snorkeling or diving. The room we stayed in was comfortable altho felt a bit dated. Our bathroom had an interesting feature with reflective glass windows. I would've rated this resort higher had their food been better but it was rather uninspiring. In fact we decided to have our dinner in Dumaguete city proper 45 mins away & lunch at a different resort because of this. The free breakfast was a notable exception.
- niv (10/5): Nice quiet place to relax - Although, I am not a diver this resort offers great accommodation, food and beverage, and huge pool deep enough for a 6 ft person to enjoy. Staff extremely helpful and friendly as is the owner. Situated on the ocean with a nice view of Apo island. This resort is very well laid out. The restaurant food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!
