The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the common areas were well maintained and had everything you need. We loved playing with the cats on the property! Location was perfect, and they had great recommendations for our time on Vieques. Couldn’t recommend more, and would stay there again and again!

The owners really accommodated my stay when I arrived early and had a later ferry ride back to the main island. They were very informative and helpful in suggesting what my options were, excursions, places to eat, or just explore. The location itself is great within walking distance to great beaches and eateries. 10/10! I have no complaints at all!

A rooster crowed all. night. long. starting at midnight and ending around 5am. To be fair, we were warned by the owner that there were chickens and roosters on the property, but we had no idea it would be an all night affair! Not the fault of the property, but definitely would keep us from going back to the same room, for sure!

Camila (9/5): Uma estadia perfeita. - Da anfitriã, é a melhor! A parte comum está equipada com tudo, é excelente. O quarto era muito bom e tínhamos disponíveis produtos para o banho, mala térmica, toalhas de praia, manta de praia, chapéu de chuva e o que não houvesse era só pedir. A localização não podia ser melhor. O quarto era muito bom mas com pouca luz natural, mas tenho apanhado muitos assim em Porto Rico.

A localização é excelente para quem vai fazer o passeio a Mosquito Bay, pois todas as principais agências ficam na região e os pontos de encontro ficam bem próximos. Eu definitivamente voltaria e indico essa hospedagem.

David (9/5): Lovely property with the nicest and most helpful hosts ever! - The property is located just around the corner from the main road where all the bars/restaurants are located and the beautiful ocean views. A simple place with character and charm! The hosts, Suzanne and Tyler were wonderful people! So very kind and helpful always providing a happy smile, helpful advice and any useful supplies they have on hand! They provided us with beach chairs, towels, coolers and beach toys for our stay. Lots of great suggestions for restaurants, excursions and places to visit. Cannot say enough nice things about them! We stayed in the back bungalow, which was lovely! Secluded and away from the main rooms. The room was not huge but suited our needs fine. It was clean with mosquito netting to keep out the critters, although there were 2 holes towards the top so not perfect. Luckily, we went in and out quickly and appeared to not have any unwanted guests. Couple of small complaints with the room...first was the handle in the shower did not work well, was very loose and we sometimes had trouble keeping a steady flow of hot water. The AC in the room worked great but would blow ice cold air write onto our faces when sleeping. When we upped the temp, it became too warm. Other than that, the room was nice. You definitely hear roosters at all hours and other creatures during the night but this is expected anywhere on the Island so bring your ear plugs! Overall though, we had a lovely stay and couldn't say enough nice things about the property and the owners! Ali (10/5): Feels like home, steps to beaches, bars and restaurants. - I stayed at the Palms Room - very spacious, comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful place. Suzann and Terry are the nicest, most caring hosts (and people) you could ever meet. They took care of everything, provided many local suggestions and honestly it felt like staying with an aunt/uncle. The location is perfect, but I would bring an eye mask and use the white noise generation function on your phone if you are sensitive to early morning roosters and the expected music thats part of life in this paradise. Nothing - I had a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Do book taxi's well advance of when you need to go somewhere, and ferry tickets too. I preferred the flight connection vs. the ferry . And don't sleep on this Inn - it will sell out!

Yashan (10/5): - The location is awesome, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and events on Vieques, including the bio bay kayak and horse riding. We did book another horse ride (not the nearest one but near Espranza), and the host drove up there in the morning! They are super nice people, managing a cozy place with everything you need, from coffee/beach towels to maps/recommendations. They were also very communicative and sent messages that were helpful for us to plan the trip. There are roosters in the region, but we are not bothered by them that much.

Carmen (10/5): The hospitality from the owners is top notch! - The location is very convenient, the room was clean and cozy, the AC was cold, and I could actually take a hot shower. The owner of the property, Tyler, was there to meet us when we arrived and couldn’t have been more friendly and hospitable. We were handed a map and given a quick rundown on what’s nearby which is really super helpful. He even loaned us a cooler bag and beach chairs for our day at the beach! Check-in/check-out was a breeze as well. 10/10 would stay again.

La guesthouse se encuentra cerca de playa esperanza y tienes todas las necesidades cubiertas, restaurantes, tiendas, colmados. La estancia en sí la ponemos como de las mejores en nuestro paso por Puerto Rico.
Silke (8/5): Une nuit a la Guesthouse - Nous avons passé une nuit à la Guesthouse, l’emplacement est super et nous avons été très bien accueillis par l’hôte. Il nous a donné de supers conseils de choses à faire aux alentours, et il a été flexible concernant notre Check in et Check out. La chambre était sympathique et tous les équipements y sont, et dans la cuisine aussi il y avait du café, lait etc..

HAOCHEN (9/5): - A cute place. I was worrying about mosquitos, but it turned out to be not a problem. The landlord couple are friendly. One of my friends was bite by something on the beach, and the lady kindly recommended medicines.
Paula (10/5): Great location, great service, I'd love to go back next time visiting Vieques - The location was perfect—just a short walk to Esperanza's vibrant bars and restaurants. Watching the sunset at the nearby beach was absolutely stunning! We really appreciated the ample parking space, the shared kitchen, and the wonderful patio area with the pool. The thoughtful touches made all the difference: the mini cooler, beach towels, and umbrella were so handy for our beach days. Kyle and Hunter were fantastic hosts who went above and beyond with their friendly service and excellent recommendations for exploring the island's hidden gems. I liked almost everything! The only detail was that the room had two double beds, one was very comfortable the other not so much.

I stayed in a small cottage in the back yard, and it felt like an adventure — rustic but charming. The best part was the hospitality and all the help provided by the owners. Esperanza Inn Guesthouse is one of a kind. Home away from home. The common and outside areas are wonderful and everything felt laid back and relaxed. You could really just sit back and enjoy yourself

ELENA (10/5): El lugar PERFECTO para visitar Vieques. - Es el lugar ideal para visitar Vieques. Está situado en la zona con las mejores playas a menos de 3 mins andando de los restaurantes. Pero lo mejor de todo son sus dueños, una pareja increíblemente agradable, servicial que lo tienen todo cuidado al más mínimo detalle. Y además días antes te mandan un montón de información con todo lujo de detalles, teléfonos de contacto, actividades que hacer, empresas de alquiler de coche, snorkel, de todo.. lo hacen todo fácil para disfrutar y aprovechar al máximo la estancia. Tienen una cocina fabulosa donde poder desayunar y prepararte tu comida para pasar un día en la playa

Mackenzie (10/5): Lovely property in a great area with kind hosts - Suzann and Tyler were so kind and warm while hosting us. They spent as much time as we wanted giving local recommendations and showing us around the property. We loved greeting the cats on the property, especially sweet Rosie who was always there to greet us. We felt right at home. Everything was great. You will likely be paying a little more but on Vieques this is the standard, so compared to other properties it’s a good value.

Jordan (10/5): 10/10 I’ll be back again! - Suzann and Tyler are INCREDIBLE! If you’re thinking of staying here…. DO IT! And book an extra day. The place is so nice, extremely comfortable with lots of amenities (pool, sunscreen, beach supplies, coffee, great ac everything you need to be comfortable) but the hosts are out of this world. Suzann pulled out a map of the whole island and marked it up with local connections, great places to eat, beaches we should try all customized to the experience we were looking for. She helped us get transportation around and to vieques. They are communicative, flexible, friendly and kind the hosts make this 100% the place to stay. This is a beautiful island, and Suzann and Tyler make you feel at home. They’ve got recs on recs on recs, my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Monique (9/5): Superb - This is an incredible gem. The location is ideal, so close to restaurants and bars and everywhere you would want to walk. Tyler took his time to walk us through the map on the island of all of the beaches to visit and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very comfortable, with a spacious living room area and kitchen, and a private roof deck to watch the sun set. We felt like we could have stayed there for weeks. We would definitely recommend!

Siwaporn (10/5): Warm hospitality, great location, and a few quirks that make it charmingly unique. - The two main owners—a lovely husband and wife duo—run this place entirely on their own, and you can feel the warmth and care in everything they do. From the moment we booked, they reached out right away with a warm welcome and provided all the essential information about the island. Some of this info is hard to find or confusing on Google, but they offer the best local insights—trust them! (That said, it helps to do a bit of research first so you can ask more specific questions—they’re incredibly helpful when you need them.) When we checked in, it felt like reconnecting with old friends—we chatted about everything like we’d known each other for 20 years! The guesthouse is charming and well-maintained, and it truly feels like coming home, with everything thoughtfully prepared for you. The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance. Just get yourself there, and you’ll see what I mean. I only wish we had booked a longer stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!
