• Kevin (2/5): - I stayed at the Roadway Inn in Benton Arkansas on Thursday 9/18/25. It was a terrible experience. The front lobby was a mess and reeked of a foul stench along with the hallway leading to my room and my room as well. I went to the front desk and ask the clerk if she had a can of disinfectant spray. Unbelievably she did and now I know why. I sprayed my entire room down. The towels smelled of the same foul stench that the room smelled of. Not clean at all. Very filthy. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and motels, but this was by far the worst. When I turned in my room key to the owner at the front desk this morning I told him that the City of Benton in Arkansas health department needs to shut him down. I want a refund on my card please.
• Richard (2/5): - I was not able to stay at this place because they would not accept my registered service dog. The people at hotels.com and the man behind the counter at the motel assured me I could get a full refund which I could not so I would not use this service and I would not book at this motel
• Monica (4/5): Disappointed - The room appeared to be clean but there were bugs. They were in the refrigerator, bathtub, on top of the dresser etc. The bed was not very comfortable. The desk person was very pleasant, but we won't stay there again. Just once I wish the pictures they show you when you are looking for a hotel were true to the hotel. We won't stay there again.

• Laurel (6/5): - The building could use some maintenance. The room was clean and it was quiet. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the room, only bar soap. No hair dryer or iron. The trash was not emptied the three days I was there. The owner’s son saw me on day two and asked if I had gotten fresh towels (which I hadn’t) and made sure to get me some. Since I was traveling alone, they kept an eye on me which was nice.

• Jennifer (10/5): Stayed for 5 Days/nights - I must admit I was unsure, but I loved it. Very quiet! My room was quite large with a king bed. It had 2 desks, a dinette, fridge, microwave and direct tv. Staff did not bother me. They emptied my trash while I was gone to sessions and touched nothing else. I quite enjoyed not being at a crowded hotel! I will definitely stay here again when I go for sessions next summer!
• James (6/5): - You can tell it is a familiar owned business. They had a new credit card system that b was not working. He did get it fixed later in the evenong. My room was very clean. The air worked great. The bed was good and the shower had hot water. It has not been updated in a while. I wished that it least had coffee in the morning. The gentleman was very polite and helpful. We were here doing a flea market.

We showed up late for check-in so couldn’t really tell how dilapidated the outside of the building was until morning. It looks like it should be condemned. Rooms are outdated and in rough shape. Our bathroom door was hanging on by one hinge and all the tile floors were nasty.
• Kelli (8/5): - Very quiet. Rooms are decent. No pets allowed. I booked online and was not ever asked about a pet, but upon arrival I was told no pets whatsoever. I was offered a full refund, but that could've taken days. I was able to find a friend to keep my dog, but I would've had to sleep in my car that night if I wouldn't have found somewhere for her to go. I had no more money and I was trying to get away from my home situation.

They have a shady practice where you need to pay in person including online. The receptionist was sleeping as we arrived, and it smelled horrible. Do not go here as you will regret it the next day.

• Melvin (4/5): Not exactly choice - No breakfast, no coffee machine, I am not sure if we knew that going in. Wafflehouse across the parking lot saved the day. Olive Garden also in walking distance. Same desk clerk the entire 3 days we stayed (already paid for before we got there and places were sold out for eclipse viewing) He gave us a room on the side of the hotel we requested and later helped straighten me out as I was trying to enter the wrong room. Linens and room seemed clean, but the place was generally run down. The Direct TV control box was located down behind a credenza which blocked the remote signals, so you had to stand next to the credenza and aim the remote down behind it to change channels.
• Robert (10/5): Good price for 1-night stay in a clean a room - Older hotel but very clean. Perfect for the 1 night as we passed through Benton, AR.
• Todd (2/5): - Sheets were stained, got a new set of sheets which were stained but not as bad. Took the original set off and the bed itself had a major urine stain. Black mold in bathroom. Dust hanging from the ceiling. Several wrecked cars (not in driving condition) and parts laying around the parking lot.
• pamelajR507CZ (2/5): Stay away - Made a reservation with hotels.com on December 30, 2023, for this hotel. It was for 2 nights in preparation for the solar eclipse. When we got there, we were informed by the manager that he personally had cancelled our reservation with hotels.com because we had not prepaid, and he could not guarantee a second night because he was booked up for the special event. When asked to provide printed confirmation of the cancellation email he claimed he sent me, he could not do It. We ended up going to another hotel. This manager was very shady. It was the worst experience with a hotel I've ever had.
• Margaret (4/5): - The check in went well. The room was clean and slept well. The shower worked good. However, there was a leak above the toilet from the fan. I told the clerk on duty, and he offered to change the room saying it shouldn't be that way. We decided to stay because the rest of the room was good. Then, we saw the ceiling in the bathroom was in very bad shape indicating the problem has been ongoing. The smoke detector was open without a battery! The next morning, we were going to checkout and the male clerk was grumpy saying we didn't have to do anything! Here's the overall review. The place COULD be great if lazy owners put a little more care in their ownership. Its older but that's no excuse for letting small problems become major rennovations.

• Ryan (4/5): - They stereotyped me as soon as they seen me and automatically were being rude they threatened to call the police on me for smoking whenever I have my medical card and I booked a smoking room for that reason. They refused to give us an extra towel. There was a whole in the bathroom door, the electric socket does the air conditioner plugged into was broke and on top of all that the doors that go into the building, do not lock at all I felt very unsafe.
• Eric (4/5): - Before our trip from Michigan I requested a Hotel with Pet Friendly Options. After traveling over twelve hours, we arrived to the Rodeway Inn. It was obvious it was Not a pet friendly hotel. There was no place to walk the dog. We have a small dog around eight pounds. When we were checking out the clerk informed me "Next time we come to not bring the dog. " If that was the case we would have never selected this hotel. When selecting a hotel we specified Pet Friendly. This Hotel was listed as an option when indeed it was not a Pet Friendly Hotel. The Lobby smelled of food, and wet carpet. There were air blowers on the main floor to dry out the carpet. On our next trip, I will not be staying at this hotel.

The place overall was fairly clean except the towels had the most awful odor and the bed covers needed washed badly. We stayed during a heat wave so the air conditioning was running at max and it may not have been cool but it was alot better than outside. Was what one could expect for such a low price.
• K8086XXlaurens (2/5): STAY LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE - The description of this hotel is SUPER misleading. 1/10 experience, and I absolutely do not recommend staying here. You can read about our experience below: Cons: Let’s start with the check-in process. The guy was friendly, but this hotel still uses a weird paper card system and has you re-write all of your information on a card at check-in. After check-in they inform you the “free hot breakfast” is a LIE and that they don’t serve any breakfast or even provide coffee (not even in the rooms). They say the reason is because they don’t have the space….but that’s ridiculous because they do. The owners simply don’t want to spend the movie to provide this service. Next, the only doors that lock are the ones to your room. The door leading to the corridor doesn’t lock even though there is a key entry. The windows don’t lock either and are just kept closed with those burglar bars. The room itself is old. This wouldn’t be an issue if it was kept clean, but it absolutely was not kept clean. It looked like someone had lied in the bed before we got there as it was wrinkly. There were dead bugs on the floor, a used tissue, hairs in the bathroom and on the toilet, dead baby roaches in the drawers, and a roach trap in the room. Someone had also stuffed a tissue in the peep hole…not iré why. Additionally, the location does NOT feel safe as it is poorly lit and there’s literally a wrecked car just sitting [mostly] underneath a tarp in the corner of the property. Pro: Bed was comfortable to be such a gross room. We didn’t notice the appearance of bed bugs anywhere. TL;DR Don’t stay here. Just find somewhere else. Seriously….DON’T STAY HERE.

Rusty lamp, damaged lamp shade, damaged lamp, beat-up furniture, wall paint on fixtures and switch plates, ice shelf in fridge is frozen over-can't use, caulking gobbed on toilet base. The owners simply don't care. Security door at back of property cable-tied open (meaning, open to anybody!), door closer broken so the door slams each time used (just try to sleep in until 8 AM - never happen!)

My room was at the end and the door leading to outside slammed any time people came in/out that way. That was annoying. They advertise a continental breakfast, but went to eat at 8 am on a Saturday and there was nothing.

• R8429VWsarahr (4/5): No breakfast, despite advertised - We picked this one over a similarly priced Choice hotel because it said Free Hot Breakfast. That wasn’t true. No coffee either, in rooms or lobby. Room had chewed gum on the shower rail, wet leaves in the corner on the floor, leaky toilet. At least the beds were clean and it didn’t smell. Works fine for a quick overnight if all you need is somewhere to sleep.

• ecofreak4 (4/5): Can't believe this place has good reviews - I stayed here based on some good Trip Advisor reviews. Wow, what a mistake. These foreign owners need to enter the 21st century. Old and worn out furnishings, Rusted lamps. Uncomfortable bed. No phone. No clock. I won't be staying here again. Very annoying that I made the reservation online and the woman made me fill out a reservation card because "that's how we do it."

• dennis (2/5): - I did not like our stay! TV and A/C didn’t work when we got into the room. The mattress on the king bed was sagging and uncomfortable. In general, we were not comfortable in our room. During the night there were loud noises in the hallway close to our door. Sounded like people arguing. I will never stay here again!
• Elmer (2/5): Don't stay there terrible - This place was terrible and first they say that they have breakfast no not at all they don't even serve nothing they have a area for it but it was empty completely the hallway smelled like drugs the people were very rude the bathtub would not plug and if you turned on the water in the sink it made a horrible noise the remote to the TV did not work nothing about this place was good it smelled terrible the only thing that was good was waffle House was next door and that's not saying much again we rented the place because it said that it had breakfast and they show where there's an area for breakfast but they never served and had an attitude with people the whole time you're there they acted like we were lucky that we were there and I was like really the lady that worked in the front snapped at me because my wife was going to sign our receipt which she's on my account so there would have been no problem but she had an attitude about it it was very rude to us and when they went to clean the room they didn't clean the room they just put new stuff in there and may the bed there is no cleaning they left all the bottles and everything which wasn't much but still it's just the thought if you're going to go in there to do something do your job I would not recommend this place for anybody definitely not children for the place smells like drugs
• Savanna (6/5): - First, I want to start off by saying that the staff working at this hotel are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is quite outdated, and upon walking down the hallway, you immediately smell cigarettes. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and the shower in our room sprayed so hard. It stung your back. It was nice to have TV with lots of channels, including movie channels that we don't usually get at home. They did clean the room when we left, but moved our stuff around which did bother me just a bit. When we got there the manager said that he had turned the AC on, and upon entering the room it was so hot and took quite a while to cool off. They advertised breakfast but both mornings we were there. They didn't have anything, not even coffee. Aside from the staff being very friendly, this hotel is pretty bad. I can tell that they've done some updates, but they still have a long way to go.
• 613ChrisB613 (8/5): A good nights rest - This is a good hotel for a night's rest after driving all day. The TVs are modern LCD with many channels and the room was clean and quiet. The mnanger at check in was super freiendly and very helpful. As a bonus there is a Waffle House immediately next door on the same side of the road.

• sjlarson (6/5): No breakfast - The bed was extremely comfortable and the room clean.very quiet stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff. There is no breakfast, not even coffee. Very strange to see a motel that does not have coffee available, had to walk to Waffle House next door for this most basic amenity. They should not advertise a “free breakfast” when none exists. Entry and halls cluttered with furniture and items during what appears to be an ongoing remodel. Basic items missing were iron, hair dryer, coffee. It is a nice place to sleep, and worth the price of admission, but bring your coffee with you if you consider coffee a “must have”.

Ran out of hot water before I was done in the shower and I don't take long showers. Did not notice breakfast when I left the following morning.

However, the bulbs were missing from all 3 lamps, the refrigerator didn't work, and, worst of all, the smoke detector had l been removed from the room. If you decide to stay here, be sure to check the room first!
• Texasleaguer (6/5): The definition of budget hotel - Gaudy carpet from the 80s? Wondering how this place retains its status as a Choice Hotels property. Rooms are clean. Toilet flushes. Shower works properly. Just basic lodging. Will definitely choose a different property should I ever travel this way again.

• 709ruslana (2/5): Awful experience - I’ve been driving for the whole day. Came hungry and tired to the hotel and they just said that they don’t have a room that I booked and asked me to leave. Completely impolite service. Never come here. Those people didn’t even try to help me out even though it was their fault in making situation I have to deal with at 10pm. Moreover, after asking for some type of confirmation that there is an error( since I need some proves to get my money back ), they just simply said “I don’t have to give you anything, I don’t care”. Terrible.

• RaymondJunior11 (10/5): Excellent - The people here are very nice. They make sure that their costumer is very well satisfied. They also establish a relationship with the people who stay here. They want to make you feel like more then people passing by, but like a part of their family. I would encourage everyone to visit this Hotel. It's absolutely amazing!!!

• Verified traveler (10/5): A solid affordable place to stay - It’s a good motel at a good price. Great location easy access to freeway. Somewhat dated, but the room was clean, and the manager very nice. They aren’t doing breakfast with COVID but they did give some breakfast bars as a substitute which was nice. Only feedback would be the lobby could use some cleanup, but the hotel room itself was clean and comfortable. Awesome experience
• Verified traveler (4/5): - I was booked for 2 nights and was charged for 2 night but the clerk was asleep and apparently marked it as one night went lunch and came back and maid packed all our stuff in trash bag. No free breakfast as advertised, no wifi as advertised. Heater and ac unit was massively dented on the outside and it kicked on and off constantly ie every minute literally. Did not show contrition for mistake in check-out date even though the date was clearly on the invoice. Hall way constantly smelled like cigarette smoke. Exhaust fan did not work in bathroom. Towel rack partially broken. Light bulb blinking in the bathroom. If anyone using the bathroom the room next door it could be heard in our room. Tub would barely hold water draining with plug in. Vending machine snack machine was not well stocked.
• AguilarJW (2/5): A real disappointment after reading the reviews on ChoiceHotels.com - The reviews rated this hotel as a 4+ with hot breakfast. The room had a nice TV and was clean but the furniture was outdated and worn out, paint on the door jams, mirror, toilet was loose to sit on and cheap extension cords for many of the lights (a possible fire hazard), no telephone, no in room coffee and the worst part was no breakfast or even a cup of coffee. They should have notified me to the shortage of advertised amenities before accepting my payment.
• Joan (6/5): Ok - Small room, carpet old, bed covered outlets, mattress didn’t fit bed, small bathroom. Sorta clean just old.

• Rickcincy (4/5): SURPRISING QUALITY - We prefer for safety & security to stay in smaller towns outside of major cities. En route from Branson, MO, to Dallas, TX, we chose this hotel. Outwardly it appears sort of run down or neglected. But the room was clean, the AC worked to perfection (and quietly!), and the shower was excellent. We had no security concerns and slept peacefully. The manager made it a point to make sure we were satisfied and spoke of his ongoing efforts to upgrade this facility. If you are looking for a safe, clean, and inexpensive hotel near Little Rock, this is it!
