Guest Reviews
- Linda (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable
The owners were so friendly and nice
- Jamar (9/5): Great stay - Convenient to local highway and stores Neighbors were loud other than that no problems with the property. Some sort of breakfast would’ve been nice
- Amanda (9/5): -
- David (7/5): -
- Pam (6/5): It was okay should have stayed at other one apparently owned by same person pics of them were swapped - Clean and okay price bed too firm for me The pictures are of the other hotel across street and charged more and so I could have got the hotel that was a little less because the pictures were swapped and that’s the one I actually wanted
- Traci (5/5): -
- Gastador (10/5): -
- Simon (8/5): - Very clean and big room Nothing
- Fred (10/5): -
- Joan (8/5): We will stop again for an overnight rest - Convenient, along Hwy 56. A quiet location with amenities that made the room comfortable
- stanley (7/5): -
- Moustachon (8/5): Motel propre et spacieux - chambre spacieuse, dame à l'accueil sympathique, motel ancien mais propre et bien équipé. Assez calme, lit confortable, wifi fonctionnel.
- Reyes (9/5): -
- Gerald (10/5): - Room was clean, checking in was simple.
Very nice considering the price.
- Gerald (8/5): - Area around property appeared rundown.
- Selah (8/5): - Perfectly satisfactory
- ron (8/5): - Easy to check in...
Clean rooms...
Nice bed!
- William (9/5): Great value clean clean clean - Vintage roadside motel motor lodge. Updated. Very very clean good towels, tv, bed. Not many customers, so we were spaced around the U, so no noise from neighbors. Excellent value for
My money. Would recommend to others with no problem. Room a little stuffy when we arrived , but we aired it out and it was fine.
- Allie (10/5): - Exactly as advertised and very helpful staff
- Russell (5/5): -
- john (10/5): Very clean & great price! - Very clean and comfortable room, great price and service. Very close to restaurants, stores and gas station.
- Nicholas (10/5): - A quiet, clean room just off 412—the perfect launching spot for an early morning Black Mesa hike. I hope to return soon. Recommended!
- Michael (10/5): The room was in great shape and had everything I needed. - It was basic, had everything I needed, furniture and bed were in great shape, not wore out, AC worked well, bed was great , all was clean, shower was good and TV worked well. Sign said coffee would be available at 5:00am but was not.
- David (10/5): Not the Ritz if that's what you want. If you want a clean reasonable price room you will be happy. - Manager was kind and honest. Great value. Clean. Would happily stay again.
- Kole (10/5): Fa - For the price it was a gold star stay. Nice and clean.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Very clean and friendly.
- Gina (10/5): Comfortable and clean! - This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Very clean. The bed was super comfortable… much better than expected. Owners are very friendly and attentive. The room is remodeled and updated with fun nostalgic elements remaining. The building is old, but don’t let that scare you off. The room was great!
- Gerald (8/5): - Quiet, clean, simple, and a good value, especially considering there are very few options in this town. Walking distance to the big Loves Travel Center. The town itself is pretty dumpy, but that’s not the motel’s fault. My only complaint is that the room was extremely hot. The AC was not on and it was 95 degrees outside. It took several hours for the room to get comfortable. Otherwise, I would stay here again and I recommend this motel.
- Christiane (7/5): An efficient, quiet and clean room - The room (& facilities) were dated but the room was clean and efficient with a microwave, fridge, comfortable bed and pillows. It was nice and dark with blackout curtains; the AC worked well and it was relatively quiet. The receptionist checked us in at 1AM and was friendly, so thank you for that! Despite being near highway 412, it was quiet. Soap and clean towels were provided. There was fresh coffee (but no food) available in the morning. The hotel is just down the road from a large gas station/convenience store so it was easy to fill up and grab a bite to eat before continuing on our way. The clear glass TV shelf in front of the flat screen TV is in a dangerous location. It's right below the TV but sticks out far over the middle dresser. I hit my head twice leaning over to get clothes out of my bag that was on the middle dresser below the TV. There's no need for the glass shelf since there's a tall dresser to the left of the TV that the accessories could be set on. Otherwise, everything else about the room was good.
- Cynthia (9/5): The room was clean and quiet. - The room was clean and had two comfortable chairs and a refrigerator and microwave. I liked everything, including the price.
- Brady (8/5): -
- John (9/5): -
- Charles (10/5): - Small, inexpensive, family run, basic hotel, no frills. But very clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful.
- Lyn (9/5): Pleasant - Simple, well-situated on my travel route. Clean, comfortable, quiet
- Sean (10/5): - Truck Parking
- Brandon (10/5): - Great hotel. Attendant was on it as soon as I arrived and that was late.
- Tiffany (8/5): - Clean place to stay in the middle of the Oklahoma panhandle.
- Geoffrey (6/5): Okay for the money. - It was relatively inexpensive, so the value was good for what you paid for. The location was convenient. There was a gap between the door and the door frame that allows insects in. I had the privilege of spending the night with some flies, a cricket, a big black beetle, and a praying mantis. A little weather stripping would solve the problem pretty quickly. Other than that, though, the room was clean and comfortable.
- David (10/5): - This old fashioned motor court motel proves there is no connection between age and cleanliness. The motel room is spotless and a bargain for the price.
- Leland (8/5): - Nice old fashioned roadside Motel. Shows effort to update with paint, carpet bedding etc. The place was clean and well cared for. Small town with few dining options. Good value if you have to be in Boise City.
- Karen (8/5): - Bed was too firm for me.
- OSMAN (8/5): - Everything was OK except the sink. It was clogged.
- gary (6/5): - This a tiny town in the panhandle of Oklahoma. The motel was ok, it was just one of those 1950's or 60's era motels. There was an ac/heating unit in the room, although it was by the window and the bathroom, which had the closet inside it, was almost as big as the room, so it was very hot inside the restroom and never got cool. Also, most people close the door while in the restroom, so impossible to get air, and I would assume heat as well in the winter.
For the dated room and problematic ac/heater, the room was extremely overpriced. It was $87, $57 would be an ok price. Also no breakfast offered.
- Brigid (5/5): I wouldn’t stay there again. The only reason I did this time is because I had no other options? - Location Needs updating. The small shelf that the TV on is over the dresser. It’s clear and large…both my husband and I bent down to pick something up off the dresser and smacked our heads on it. It needs to be removed. There were lots of dead bugs when we open the door on the floor. Shower had hair in it and the toilet had urine and tp in it.
- George (8/5): Overnight Family Stay - It was a nice, quiet hotel. We eeserved 2 rooms for our family. The lady up front was friendly and talkative. Rooms were perfect for an overnight stay for our family traveling for vacation. Good stop foran overnight stay a small Oklahoma panhandle town.
- Cia (7/5): Good -
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruce (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Debra (6/5): Pleasant -
- Thomas (9/5): would stay here again - Easy check-in, friendly staff Clean
- Justin (10/5): - Nice little motel to stay at if you're taking a trip to Black Mesa State Park
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Henry (8/5): Very good -
- Alma (10/5): - Easy parking, next to main street. Stores all around
- Mary (7/5): Good - the size of the room
- Constance (7/5): The motel was a convenient location and good value for a quick night of rest. - The location was directly on our travel route which made it a convenient place to stay for the night. The room was clean and comfortable. The room was a good value for a quick night's sleep.
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Justin (10/5): - Simple and clean. Good for a traveler who is passing through.
- Quade (10/5): - clean no bedbugs, no extra charges
- Michael (10/5): - Three place looks very old from the outside and i was nervous about staying here. But the room was updated and in good shape inside and clean. We had a comfortable stay.
- Sharen (8/5): - The staff are very nice and the rooms are scrupulously clean. Very quiet.
- John (9/5): Great value in an out-of-the-way place - Classical old style – Park at the door. Very clean and modernized room - great Wi-Fi, huge flatscreen with DIRECTV – exactly what I was looking for and a great value to boot Nothing - fit my requirement just perfectly
- Chupp (7/5): Good -
- Richard (7/5): Great value, clean, and comfortable - The room was very clean and had been updated. The staff was friendly and accommodating (got me two extra bed pillows). The exterior was looking a bit dated, could us a fresh paint job. The driveway/parking area needs to be resurfaced. You can tell they are working on it. No coffee for the morning either.
- Eberhard (7/5): Good -
- Ronald (6/5): - The room was clean, except for the curtains and windows.
The bathroom sink was too low, one switched controlled the shower fan, the light in the shower area, and the light over the sink. When just using the sink, you had to put up with the fan. Painting and caulking was done by someone in a hurry or with no skill in doing a good job!
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (10/5): Good hotel - Room is clean
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Randall (3/5): 1st visit and lasted for - The front door did not close properly.
We had to pay a nonrefundable charge for our pet that was not listed on bookings.com or on the motel site.
The room definitely needed updating.n
- Lauren (8/5): - Good room, nice staff, not much around to do or eat.
- Catherine (10/5): - For a little spot on the map you could easily blink and miss, so my expectations were not high. So when I checked in I was a bit reserved, the lady that greeted me was very kind, and nice. When I opened the door to the room I was taken aback by how CLEAN and NICE the room was at the price we paid! I am a pilot car driver so I spend more nights in hotels than at my home, and I have to admit I slept better at this hotel than I do at home most nights! If you are looking for a SUPER CLEAN, quiet, comfortable night sleep and find yourself in this tiny spot on the map I highly suggest this motel!!!! Will add they also have no problems with my husband’s alert dog.
- Reid (8/5): - It was a nice place hidden from the crowds
- Frances (8/5): - The property was clean and neat! We arrived very late with a trailer and the owner made us move our vehicle to a different spot because she thought it was too heavy to be in the parking lot! Our TV did not work but because of the late night we did not call the front desk! Overall clean, bed very comfortable, and it was a quiet area. Excellent bargain for the price!
- Eberhard (7/5): Good -
- Kell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): - Front desk staff very helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable
- Joseph (10/5): - This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. It is not much to see on the outside , but it is very clean and comfortable
- Joseph (10/5): - When you enter the parking lot it doesn’t look like much. We were pleasantly surprised when we went into the room. It was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.
- Jennifer (10/5): - On a long road trip and this unlikely gem had great reviews at an even greater price, so we thought... Why not? So worth it. The lady checking us in was SO lovely. Don't let the exterior fool you, yes, it's dated, yes it could be brought into this decade in terms of cosmetic appeal, but it's nice. It's inexpensive and the owner seems so kind.
- David (10/5): - We booked a King size bed and then after going out to Supper and returning to our room, we realized they had given us a Queen size bed. I ran into the Owner on the way to the office and he asked if I needed help and explained the situation. We went to the office and he switched us to another room. He apologized multiple times for our inconvenience. The room was very nice and clean. I will put this on the list of places to stay on our travels if we need a room along the way.
- Ray (4/5): Disappointing - It was clean and friendly staff The entire complex was very old and outdated
- Michel Arcand (10/5): - Great little comfortable room with fridge and microwave. Good location but no restaurant. Definitely one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in.
- Rinu (10/5): - very clean and friendly staff
- Dana (9/5): Nice Stopover - Nice comfortable stop for the night. Clean, good value, friendly staff.
- Mary (9/5): Superb - There was no breakfast- but the room was clean, as was the refrigerator and microwave- the gentleman checking us in was kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.
- Edward (10/5): Traveling - Great overnight stay
- BRUCE (10/5): - Nicely furnished and clean.
- Katie (10/5): Townsman - Great person running this motel.
- Virgil (5/5): It was okay, but I wouldn’t stay there again - It was clean and in a good location It was pretty old
- Gloria (10/5): We would stay again! - The most important part of an overnight stay is cleanliness. Our room had clean carpet, clean bathroom, clean and super soft bedding. A great night's sleep was had in Oklahoma! N/A
- Steve (8/5): - We stayed for a night on the way to Texas. Older motel but maintained well and very clean. Large parking area for Rv's. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Love fuel station right across from Motel to get morning coffee etc.
- Ken (10/5): - Older motel but very nice. Heater a bit noisy but everything else great. Very friendly staff.
- William (8/5): Nice motel - The motel is older and somewhat dated. But the room I was in was clean and completely functional. The beds were comfortable.
- Mary (8/5): A good stay in a seemingly deserted town. - The room was comfortable and had all the basics. Lots of horizontal counter space and adequate electrical outlets. I think I might have been the only party staying at the motel that night, so it felt a little deserted but seemed safe enough. I liked being able to park right outside the room. There was an authentic Mexican restaurant nearby, where I had both dinner and an omelet breakfast and both were great. Similarly, I was the only person in the restaurant at both meals. To emphasize the lonely feeling, there was a tumbleweed sitting outside my door! It was a good stay, but the price seemed a little higher than I would have expected. No breakfast.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Clean room, nice bed and tv. Good value for the price.
- Curt (6/5): Good choice - Location, cleanliness and price. Couldn’t control thermostat, it was 80+ in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A nice motel - This motel is very nice. The furnishings are up-to-date, the bed and linens are quite comfortable, and the appliances are new. I had a very pleasant stay. It is a great deal for the price.
- Gwen (7/5): Good - Friendly front desk, we checked in at 1am. Small simple clean room, plenty of parking. Very reasonable rates.
- Andrew (6/5): Pleasant but overpriced - $80 for a decent clean, very quiet old motel. But honestly $80? After driving all accross the country twice, we've got a good feel for price. We may have been the only guests, makes you wonder how the owner pays his mortgage, taxes etc. But as pleasant as our stay, really should have been $50 inc tax. Otherwise just a stop along long forgotten but famous and desolate Route 66
