Guest Reviews
- William (10/5): - Loved it here. Clean, quiet, perfect pitstop on the way back from Acadia
- Anne (10/5): - This was the most charming remake of a roadside motel. Quirky, super comfortable, fantastic service, and a great location.
- Tarren (10/5): Quiet, relaxing and comfortable stay! - I had such a wonderful stay at the Lincolnville Motel after attending a wedding in the area. The property felt quiet, safe, and relaxing. Alice went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, sending me all the details for a late check-in and even leaving a light and fan on in my room. Her thoughtfulness and hospitality truly set this place apart. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
- Kathryn (10/5): - So beautiful, so special!!! I’m coming from nyc, just to stay here AGAIN!!!
- Cody (10/5): Cute quaint retro -
Pulled in late at night, very tired and was really pleasantly surprised by the easy accessibility, cleanliness of each cabin and the incredible views of the water. The staff was really helpful the next morning the main lodge and room filled with books and cozy corners was really, really pretty. Very casual. Pool and sauna look adequate… didn’t try them.
- Lindsey (10/5): Quiet, - I repeatedly read reviews saying folks wished they could’ve stayed longer and i wholeheartedly agree! Our little cabin was clean and charming and you get a little glimpse of the water over the meadow. The bathroom was a nice size and had lovely smelling Malin+Goetz toiletries. We loved reading on our little deck with our pup and listening to records.
- Cole (10/5): - A little pricey, but after a week of camping it was great to have a clean bed and bathroom with quality soaps and lotions. Camden is a cool town with lots to do and only a few minute drive away.
- Manuel (10/5): - Outstanding stay very personal touches and cozy would be a great way to describe Lincolnville Motel, definitely would stay agin. Loved the record collection Thank You
- Marlynda (10/5): - Wonderful little place to stay. Will definitely be back again.
- Alicia (6/5): - Our second visit and a little pricey for what you get. Small fridge in room and wimpy towels.
- Nancy (8/5): - Only there one night in terrible rain so hard to say much. The room is lovely — no tv was a surprise but ok. Heater super noisy when it kicks in. Loved the turntable in room!
- Linda (8/5): Hurricane Lee weekend - Rated slightly less than excellent since we didn't get the full experience because our stay was the weekend of Hurricane Lee with no power for most of our stay. That said the owner was on site, attentive and keep in communication. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Beds are soooo comfortable.
- amy (10/5): - The owner greeted us personally. She had a cute welcome package. She gave us a tour and had even turned on the AC prior to our arrival. The room was clean and decorated in a vintage meets modern vibe. There is NO television. But there are lots of books, vinyl with a player in the room, games and a pool. Loved our stay
- ANGIE (4/5): - Property has a beautiful morning view from the back porch. Cabins are very small and poorly built. Very overpriced for this stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely spot - We loved this place. Clean, comfortable, simple yet stylish decor, and the proprietor was welcoming & thoughtful. We enjoyed sipping the (delicious!) complimentary coffee while looking out over a meadow full of wild flowers and the ocean in the distance.
- Danalee (10/5): - We needed a one night stay, and the Lincolnville Motel was perfect.
- Kirsten (10/5): - Cozy, clean cabin with a gorgeous view.
- Lynne (10/5): - Cannot wait to stay here again! It was a thoroughly wonderful experience!
- Larry (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay.
- carolyn (6/5): - For starters Alice is a gracious host and has a unique setting. Unfortunately - not all guests are looking to be "off the grid". I was traveling for work. This facility though clean and quaint; had no continuous Internet connection, no television in the cabin and most importantly, hot water. You had to wait a good 4-5 minutes for it to warm up enough to get in. Having a note on the wall to explain the reason for this and the discoloration in the water - is not something a guest wants to read. Granted for $230, I was not expecting the Ritz Carlton; however, I was expecting the basics. Internet and hot water. As I said, our host was friendly and welcoming - the cabin lacking basics was not something I was prepared for after being on the road all day.
- daniel (8/5): - Nice place
- Lori (10/5): - A cute bungalow with a deck. It was a bit of a throw back in time with the phonograph, fan, and mini refrigerator. The pool was lovely. The host was very friendly.
- Lisa (10/5): - Cute little gem between Camden and Lincolnville. Would stay here again as we come to this area every summer.
- LISA (8/5): - Sweet, basic motel right on Route 1. The traffic dies down in the evening. A place to sleep and shower. No breakfast, but the morning coffee is outstanding!!
- Robert Lee (10/5): - Very unique, quiet, and clean with a great bed.
- Lisa (10/5): - Friendly staff snd great location! Quiet and very comfy beds!!
Looking forward to my next stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful - A charming and unique place to stay. We enjoyed a dip in the pool and later a firepit. Very clean. Soft cotton sheets and extra pillows.
- Reuben (8/5): Lincolnville Motel - Adequate, Clean, Friendly - The Lincolnville stay met expectations and served its purpose. It is not an elaborate facility; don't expect a Hyatt with an atrium. Inn is near the seashore (perhaps a quarter mile distant) but has no frontage on the ocean so don't expect to be viewing the ocean or sitting on a chair on a beautiful beach. Service is adequate. No breakfast. Facilities tend towards absolute basic and done with budget in mind. Cleanliness was quite adequate. Again, rooms were very basic, not dingy (no complaints there) and were clean. This served as and adequate (perhaps good) basic hotel/motel stay. Nothing exciting but acceptable.
- kimberly d (10/5): - Simple, cute cottage with all the basics you need. Owner was very friendly and informative. The cottage was very clean, which is very important to me.
- Verified traveler (10/5): We can't wait to stay again! - This place is such a great place! Clean, fun, quirky and a bit retro. It's a beautiful location, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was great, and our little dog loved it. We can't wait to stay again!
- Leslie (10/5): I'll be back! - Sweet little cottages, the owner is great. View over the top of trees through the water sometimes not visible due to fog but still very pleasant view from the balcony. Nice touches from music to flowers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This motel is located right on route one in Lincolnville. The Location is very convenient. We had an awesome view of the ocean from our room.
- Brittany (10/5): - What a wonderful place to stay! Alice the owner was a delight to meet, and while my little family of my husband myself and my infant only stayed one night, we had such a great time enjoying the sunshine, pool, and bonfire at the Lincolnville hotel. There was hot coffee in the morning and the rooms were very cute. We will be back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming, would definitely stay again - Charming, clean, well maintained property! Lots of perks like nice bath and body products (Malin + Goetz), hair dryer (which is not listed on the website), and free firewood and charcoal for the firepit and grill. Owner and their sweet dog are very friendly. Enjoyable stay, would go again.
- Clark (10/5): - What an amazing hotel. A step back in time when vacation meant solace, and relaxation. I slept like I have never. The quaint warm cottages feed your soul. The record player brought so much joy as I listened to the crackle of each playing song. Thank you!
- Tracy (6/5): Don't stay in unit 10 - I don't like booking an accommodation that includes an amenity and after I check in and have paid then find out my room does not include the amenity. In my opinion this is false advertising and when I question the manager and given an excuse why it wasn't included it's not only false advertising but I've been lied to and cheated. Not happy with this.
- Berubecm0 (10/5): - The front desk staff (owner?) was very welcoming and friendly. She took the time to show me around the place. I loved the view from our deck. Outdoor pool with fun swan/flamingo floaties. Cool outdoor sauna, I didn't get a chance to use it. Nice distance to the beach in Lincolinville. Beach not accessible from the motel. Enjoyed that it was dog friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fun and quirky roadside motel. Super close to state park for hiking and Camden for dining. Alex, the owner, has worked hard to offer her guests an enjoyable and relaxing retreat. Probably beat for short term stays.
- Chris (10/5): - Fun visit. Artful decor make this a unique place to stay.
- Laura (10/5): Our new go-to spot - Amazing location and super friendly, engaged owner! Will definitely be back!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is our second summer visiting the Lincolnville. In our opinion it is the perfect blend of comfort, cozy, style and beautiful surroundings. Facing the ocean, the cabins have perfect decks that we can sit out on with a beer while playing records in the room. There is an exceptionally awesome sauna now with a large bubble window facing the sea - I highly recommend! We love how unpretentious and perfect this non-fussy spot is. It is all the bonuses of being hipster without actually being hipster. Books and records are stacked in each room.in lieu of TV's. The pool is beautiful to just sit out by and enjoy. We have loved the service and care here year after year.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was friendly and the cottages were very neat and trendy. Beautiful views to the lake out back and minutes from Camden. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.
- jane (8/5): Handy for Camden and restaurants - Lots to explore and see, good local restaurants very helpful owner who gives you great advice etc
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This property was built in the fifties, and it shows. The furnishings in this motel are the result of several visits to flea markets and lawn sales.
We arrived 15 minutes before check in time, and the woman at the desk walked out to walk her dog before coming back to check us in.
We entered the rustic "honeymoon cabin" to find an old record player and some albums from the sixties. Simon and Garfunkle, and Janice Joplin. No TV and no phone. However the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the smell of bleach indicated the place was relatively clean except for a stint of killing several bugs and spiders during the evening.
Coffee in the morning consisted of a carafe in the main building. No cream, just low fat milk. No sugar substitute, just granulated sugar in a shaker. Ice consisted of a bag in the apartment size refrigerator freezer that was bought from the local store that was half gone and frozen together from being in there so long.
On the up side, the lack of a TV allowed my wife and I to celebrate our twentieth anniversary by sharing drinks and chatting and reminiscing for a good part of the evening while listening to some oldies.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ,Nice given tour for amenities and had a good stay
- Susan (8/5): - Very distant view of water, but we couldn't walk to it because it was private property. Loud road noise from Rte 1. Cabin was ok, deck very large. No chair in the room.
Great location for exploring the Maine coast, and the owner very friendly and helpful. The main house has lots of comfortable seating. Great coffee in the morning.
- Marie (8/5): - Lovely and eclectic little motel. Clean, kindly service good location. Loved the decor. Very comfortable bed and linens. The only draw back is the traffic noise from route 1. Management supplies ear plugs. That said, we would probably stay again.
- Anne (10/5): - The motel was an excellent place to stay. The decor was very interesting and thoughtful and there were many wonderful small touches. We appreciated the pool in the unusually hot weather, and the hostess was friendly, agreeable, and knowledgable about the area. We particularly appreciated her putting a screen in the door to our porch. This allowed us to leave the door opened at night, rather than have to use the air conditioning.
- Chip (10/5): Vintage Motel - Takes you back to a simpler time, love the vintage albums and record player in the room. What no TV??? Loved that, we never watch TV on vacation anyway! Everything we expected.
- Kathryn (8/5): Great basic accomodation in convenient spot - As expected the cabin was small but had everything we needed. We were provided with fairly powerful fan to keep the air moving on very hot days, and of course one doesn't expect air conditioning in a cabin.
- Keith (10/5): Sweet stay - Delightful. Tiny, clean and well appointed. Alice, the owner is cheerful and helpful. Close to town but out of the hubbub. Would come back if in the area.
- AndreaandChuck (6/5): Meh - These were cute cottages with a good idea-for some people. They were clean, but no air conditioning and no tv. It was one room with a very small bathroom and very small shower. It was pricey for what you got.
- Owen (8/5): Visiting Day - Very cool place. The stand alone cabin was very cozy inside. The pool was great. Very close to the water.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved our stay here. Super cozy cottage and amazing staff. We stayed here two nights and couldn’t have been happier. Hope to return soon.
- Kimberly (8/5): Clean and Comfortable Maine Motel - This is a cute hotel and a great upgrade to the old school Maine cabin motels along the coast. The design choices are excellent: clean, modern, unobtrusive. Extra points for the great toiletries, that was a nice surprise! Loved the decision to have record players instead of TV. This was a nice break from the usual cable tv. The only problem one might have is noise from the road. That isn't the fault of the motel of course, but the location is directly off 1.
- Scott (8/5): - The location was great, on the one hand, being so close to the ocean. On the other hand, it was too close to Highway 1 and was noisy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing sweet motel - The lincolnville motel is absolutely adorable and comfortable. Just loved the units, which are all separate instead of connected. The check in process is in a groovy office with records and books to borrow while you stay there. So amazing. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Suggestions for where to eat nearby were very helpful and we had a lovely meal based off their recommendations!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Has a long way to go. - The host told me that they had no TV and poor WIFI because it was meant to be a rustic getaway. Yes, I guess the painted plywood floors and the very tired and stained bathroom linoleum bore that out. Furnishings were spartan and clip on lamps on the headboards were awful.
- Audrey (10/5): Unique - Unique rustic place to spend a night. Nice office area to "hang out". Loved the old record player & records in our room.
