- 440treep (2/5): TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE-NEVER STAY HERE! THEY TOOK MONEY FOR A 18 NIGHT STAY NOT A 8 NIGHT STAY AND LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING!!! - Worse hotel experience of my life!!! NEVER STAY HERE! They entered the room without permission and against policies then lied about it including the entire experience from the start. They gave a difficult time to check in where they even refused a refund only minutes after booking. The hotel claimed there was four of us during the stay when in fact I was with my family member at check in because I was their ride and the big deal they made when in fact there was only one person who ever slept in the room, they never confirmed nor went over anything as they said at the time of check in but now refuse to refund anything with a 10 night stay unused as the total of a 18 night stay was paid upfront. I'm out ten nights, they could have re-booked as people were calling the hotel trying to book the same room but they replied "no rooms available" and a staff member explained they always have trades people booking Monday-Friday. There were no towels in the swimming area often, sand or debris were in the hot tub-didn't appear the swimming area was cleaned on a regular basis...they were dishonest saying I called the hotel numerous times about the situation of a refund where it was only twice (4 days apart). They absolutely denied a solution, were dishonest, lacked professionalism and integrity plus breached policies, were disrespectful and discriminating and had no issues taking 10 nights of my money when not staying in the room. Situation changed beyond our control but it is ludicrous a hotel would not work with the guest towards a solution instead of me being out such a substantial amount of money! Management told me, "I'm not budging!" No one at the hotel ever had the right to go into a guests room without consent!! Never have I been treated like this nor did I expect such a horrible experience; very rude. I'd never stay again!

Cloudy/stagnant water, hot tub non-functional and looking at the sign (saying the hot tub doesn’t work) has been up for a long time. The sign is faded and worn.

Not too far from the Dow Centennial Centre, and a short drive into the town centre. It is not too bad with cleanliness This hotel, any right-thinking person should avoid. Everything started awful. I arrived at the hotel in the evening. I had already communicated with the hotel that I needed a space to work, specifying a working table and a chair. They promised it would be in the room. When I got to the front desk, the receptionist was extremely rude. They asked to take a picture of my credit card showing all the information, and when I objected for safety reasons (which I felt was reasonable), she just hissed and rolled her eyes, muttering under her breath, and just tossed the sign-in form at me for me to sign! Not ok. When I got to the room and found there was no table or chair, I asked the front desk, and this same person told me that the wall-mounted shelf where the TV and other things were mounted, was a table, and a sofa was the chair. That ruined my first working night. It was terrible. I was unable to meet my work requirements for a whole day. The room was somewhat clean, but you could see the stains on the mattress and the sofa, and the coffee machine didn't even work! I was booked for a 3 night stay, but I checked out the following afternoon. I checked into a hotel nearby, and it was worlds apart. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, not even as a punishment.

Night Staff playing entrance tv loudly this is no quiet time in effect.

Helped me with my bags as I was dealing with a back injury and she let me check in early. I had to use the wifi for a presentation and had extreme difficulty getting on. I had to get up on the Saturday night and ask the front desk staff to TURN DOWN THE TV!! The elevators are way to loud.

- Blaaghrtpsd (2/5): Good Hotel for Party People - If you and your buddies want a place where you can get stinking drunk, party till 03:00, carry your loud hooting and hollering into the hallways, leave your half-filled empty beer cans spilled in the hallways, this is the hotel for you! Don’t worry about complaints from the other guests, management and staff don’t care! The elevators don’t work, laundry is broken, hot tub has no jets, gym is a joke, but the party is ON for the drunks! Bring your own cooler, as the fridge is hardly big enough for a six-pack. House-keeping will make your bed if you are lucky, but clean nothing. Often they will not go into your room at all. Front desk staff are highly skilled at presenting excuses. If you are a worker hoping to get a good sleep because you are working at the nearby plants, this place is not for you! If you are a young family hoping for a week-end get-away, look elsewhere.

- Wanderer21413139220 (2/5): - I recently stayed at this establishment and my experience has been nothing short of absolutely unacceptable. Upon being in my room a couple days I started to notice I was getting little bites that were getting worse progressivly through the short stay. I awoke one morning to find the culprits were In plain site and the room was infested with bed bugs. When I informed the front desk of the issue they assured me they had never dealt with it in there hotel. As they were explaining this to me there cleaning staff was walking past in full appropriate ppe with all the required chemicals and a quarantine bin not 5 minutes after reporting it. They were prompt in switching me rooms and assured me that my belongings would be properly sanitized and everything would be bug free and returned to me. When I went to inquire later that day on the progress of my belongings It was a new front desk attendant and she had no idea of the information I was told regarding them. Upon going to the laundry room I found all of my wet "sanitized" clothing had been thrown onto the floor and replaced with another patrons laundry in the washer. I took it upon myself to re wash and properly sanitize my clothes. My co workers were all staying at the hotel and were informed of my situation and when they called to the hotel to inquire what further action they were taking to prevent the spread to other rooms they were told by the staff that there was no bed bugs and repeatedly lied to them about the situation. I spent the next three days in talks with the hotel on the where abouts of my expensive luggage bag in which I was told they were advised by the pest control to allow UV treatment in the sunlight and that my bag would be returned to me. On the fourth day I was informed they had in fact thrown out my personal luggage bag without my consent. When I attempted to ask about compensation or reimbursement of another bag the manager was instantly defensive and rude about the whole thing. I was polite and curtious throughout this process even though I was distraught by the fact they threw my personal belongings away. I have given them ample options and opportunities to assist in replacing it and I have been met with distain and now silence. If you are a company looking to book your workers or just a family looking to use this facility I emplor you to look elsewhere. I am not ok with the treatment I received nor the bed bug bites that covered my body. I have informed the better business bureau and I will also be informing the rcmp of the stolen property. I will post updates but in the meantime there are much better options for your stays in Fort Saskatchewan and I encourage anyone looking for accomodations to seek out a different option.

- Raymond (5/5): Passable - The hotel room rate was fair for a night stay. The complimentary breakfast was good and lots of options to choose I called and reported to the front desk that there’s an issue about the wifi. After I finished my breakfast went to front desk to followed up and still haven’t resolved the issue. The front desk told me they will reported the issue to their maintenance. So I haven’t heard from the front desk if the wifi issue been fixed or not and decided to use my data for the meeting. I called the front desk if it’s too late to check out and she told me nope. I told her I will be checking out 12nn. I do have a meeting 10:30am. While on the meeting, I heard someone opening my door and the staffs were noisy outside. I am not sure how the staff communicate each other. So I decided to pack up and told the front desk I will checking out.

- Sharon (8/5): Good was good - We had a very nice corner spacious room with a sofa and a desk chair. The TV reception was very good. But the best was the most comfortable king bed and pillows. One of the best beds we have ever slept in hotel. Staff also very nice especially the lady in the breakfast room. We had no housekeeping the first day. The second day all they did was take out the garbage and took the used towels. But didn’t leave any new ones We had to ask for Towels. It was disappointing but I think they were short of staff. We didn’t complain too much, we like this hotel and stayed there before with no problems. We probably will go back as their rates are reasonable.

- Turkman (3/5): I had the worst hotel experience ever. - I can't think of anything that was good except for the people at the front desk. We were very disappointed with our experience, particularly with the two elderly Filipino ladies handling breakfast. Both were unhelpful and rude, especially Cynthia. However, I would like to commend the young woman at the front desk, Atindem, who was very helpful and directed us to another nearby hotel that offered better breakfast service. The hotel rooms were dirty and had an unpleasant odor, with heavy stains all over the carpets. This was the first hotel in Canada where we encountered such poor cleanliness. The bathrooms did not provide shampoo, and the breakfast staff were unprofessional and unapproachable, displaying a negative attitude the moment guests walked in. I would attribute this issue to poor hotel management and training. On a positive note, the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

- Raskrivushkin (10/5): Perfect for travels for events in Dow Center - Was very happy to get rooms this time because the hotel did not have available rooms a month before my travel, but when I've got refuse from another hotel (opposite one), the Southfort helped me with two rooms in 10 minutes. I was with a group of 7 kids, so they saved us!

- Raskrivushkin (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable beds, clear and well-equipped rooms, pool and direct doo to a restaurant. A front automatic sliding door must be fixed as it makes abnormal loud sound, which wakes you up when your room is on the first floor.

- Shawn (1/5): Bad - No refund or room when we showed up to check in at midnight from our flight before a wedding. We booked through booking.com and paid in full. The front desk clerk informed us with a smirk and pretentious disposition that they now have a credit card only rule because somebody allegedly trashed the room recently. I offered hundreds in cash and my ID as I do not use a credit card for booking hotels, and the hollow and insincere apologies we received were nothing short of disrespect. The following night was a nightmare and ultimately that spilled into the wedding. The clerk is lucky to be so disconnected and inhospitable while keeping his job. I would have been appalled if I were the owner or manager that night. Equivocate and Precaricate are words i would use to describe the clerks way of dealing with the situation. Would suggest going somewhere else and will never give them my business or that of my acquaintances.

- Cheryl (3/5): Decent with low expectations. - The price was great, but you get what you pay for. Salt water pool is nice Waited 15 minutes in the lobby with my children for a staff member to show up. Tried ringing the bell, calling the hotel number, and even wandered down the halls a ways. No signs up, nothing. Their excuse? They were at the hotel next door... Rooms are a bit outdated but comfortable. Our bathroom ceiling had massive water damage. Breakfast was okay, pretty standard. Hot tub cleanliness was questionable. Jets are still broken, over 6 months since our last visit (they were non-operational then as well)

- Andrew (8/5): Decent hotel and good on a budget. - Decent price compared to other hotels. Pretty standard hotel and breakfast. Didn't use the pool since I was only there one night.
- Ulrich (9/5): good value/ good price - everything this is not ment to be as a complaint!! the only thing I would like to mention is the heating/ cooling unit on the room is blowing right at you ( be great , if air-output could be moved)
