Guest Reviews
- Oscar (9/5): Piacevole soggiorno a Fez - Personale molto gentile e ottima colazione
Fabuloso.
- Aleksander (5/5): - I booked 4 nights there but stayed only 1 as it was almost impossible for us to sleep there
But:
- good location
- good breakfast - noisy at night, sleeping there seems like next to train station,
- very small room, 80% of it are beds
- no working heating, and stuff wouldnt help but providing external heater. They said that the AC heating should work but it didn't
- very sketchy neighborhood with kids smoking hash by the entrance to the Riad
- hard and uncomfortable beds
- Ali (5/5): Left for a hotel after 1 night - Staff were hospitable. Breakfast was decent. Very outdated and uncomfortable.
- Emma (9/5): -
- B'tissam (10/5): - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a wonderful stay at this riad in Fez. The place is beautiful, clean, and full of charm, but what made our experience truly special was the hospitality. We especially want to thank Hamid he was always so kind, helpful, and welcoming. Whenever we asked about something, he always gave us all the information we needed, which made everything easier. He really made our stay unforgettable and made us feel safe and at home. We also want to say thanks to the lovely lady who prepared our breakfast every morning with so much kindness. Both of them made our time in Fez even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Fez
- Ricard (9/5): Superb -
- Alessia (8/5): Very good - The staff was amazing! Very friendly and available to help with all our requests.
- Thao (10/5): Nice, clean, spacious, helpful, nice breakfast, great location - Nice, clean, spacious, helpful, nice breakfast, great location
- Ioana (8/5): Very good - We loved the vibe of the Riad and we highly recommend it for the experience itself. It’s comfortable, very well located and the best part about it are the people who work there. Badr helped us with everything. He showed us where to park, walked us to the Riad and made sure that we are comfortable. The breakfast was also very good with local foods. It’s very noisy because of the way it’s build (the room has its windows opening to the center of the Riad) so if you are a light sleeper take that into consideration.
- Daniel (10/5): Wonderful helpful staff make this an excellent place to stay - We loved staying in an authentic Riad (We stayed for 2 nights this time and 5 nights the week previously). Most of all we were looked after by staff extremely well especially by Badr. The breakfasts and 3 evening meals we had were high standard. We had a great guided tour of Fez including the Medina with Mohammmed the owner and great day tour to the Atlas mountains with the other Mohammed. (We would recommend doing both). The greatest help to us was Badr who looked after us so well in the Riad. He was so thoughtful and escorted us to local restaurants when we were unsure of the way, and helped us with advice. Thank you so much Badr -you went out of your way to help us! not much to dislike
- Abdulraheem (10/5): Perfect.... - Extremely good service, very good for the price and environment was perfect. Nothing, I would go there again.
- Francisco (7/5): Friendly staff and the hotel is located in the old city. - Friendly staff and the hotel is located in the old city. Difficult to find a close parking spot.
- Abdulraheem (10/5): The service and the Riad is definitely more then what you pay for. - Badr and Fatiha made us feel welcome and made us both feel at home. The service was 10/10 truly meeting our expectations. The food cooked by Fatiha was delicious and the hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. Badr supported with knowing how to get round Fes. Will definitely consider returning to Riad Taha. There was nothing to dislike.
- Krysia (10/5): Great stay in Fes - Perfect location, great Riad with friendly staff. Highly recommend! X
- Andreiro (6/5): Pleasant - The people in the staff where very helpful and friendly! - the location is very unsafe if it starts getting dark
- dirty room
- very much humidity
- had a big cockroach in the bathroom
- the water was fleeing all over the bathroom
- the bed was as hard as wood
- Carupia (10/5): Exceptional - The riad is beautiful and our room was clean, with good light and comfortable beds. The bathroom is modern and big.
Badr is an amazing host and does everything he can to make you feel at home.
Breakfast is included at a great price and it really exceeded my expectations. Almost everything was perfect. Just take into account that there are steep stairs but Badr is always willing to help with luggage.
The property is inside the old medieval neighbourhood, so you need to go out of the gate to find taxis. However, the distance to the medina entrance is short.
- Brandy (10/5): I can't wait to come back! - Beautiful historic riad right in the outskirts of the medina. Easy to find, great staff, and Mohammed, the tour guide they recommended, was exceptional. Bed is hard, but they all are in Morocco, so it was expected.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (8/5): Very good - The host, Mohammed, was excellent. Whether it was helping with laundry when facilities were closed for Eid or finding a walking tour guide at the last minute, Mohammed was always there to help.
It was also well-located in the Medina. There was a group of locals unaffiliated with the riad that was frequently gambling and getting into arguments in the small road that led to the entrance. My children didn't always feel safe having to pass within a meter of these drunk, quarrelling men.
- Kostiantyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandra (10/5): Great service and attention. - The staff attention was great. Always ready to help. Breakfast was good and variated every day.
We prearranged our transfer from the airport and help us with our day trips.
- Noah (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Roy (9/5): Superb - Taxi cannot reach the Riad in the nedina so the host walked out to meet us in the nearest square to guide us in. Host was proactive and helpful with info prior to and after checkin.
lovely included breakfasts.
Nice unique shampoos.
nice decor plus rooftop patio.
Great location. Hot water in the bathroom sink but not the shower in the evg
- Wei (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lluisa (9/5): Superb -
- Sebastián (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (10/5): Perfect! - Everything was perfect, the location, the food, the property and the staff. Simo is an excellent host. Nothing is too much trouble. The property is extremely clean and very traditional. Fantastic stay! Absolutely nothing.
- Daniela (10/5): Recommended - The Riad is amazing and Simmon is very Kind. He advised us on what to see on the City and Booked us a Tour. The Breakfast is amazing also Nothing
- Duane (9/5): Superb - The host Mohamed was very friendly, gave us a map, and directions to the attractions. The Riad is very nice, and so was our room. Breakfast was good. About the riad everything was okay. The location in general, you either like it or not. The parking is also about 6 minutes away.
- Ninoj (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Helpful and attentive staff, good price, and a relatively quiet and clean place to sleep in the Médina.
- Yasin (6/5): Very good host, poor building maintenance. - Mundire was a great host. He was very helpful and helped us a lot. The building, however, is not well maintained. The bathroom was horrible. After shower the whole bathroom would have water all over place and it wouldn’t drain.
- Upinder (4/5): Dangerous., Dirty,Unhygenic. - First of all the hotel is in OLD tOWN which the hotels.com rep should have mentioned.
Gateau area. You have to cross 20 minute walk from the Medina with ur luggage as no access inside. Once at hotel they recommend you do not leave premises after 6:00 pm
The area where u have to walk thru is super dangerous & smells& has open gutters.
The riad has steep steps tp climb up and if u have a room like ours 4 th floor u r dead carrying up and down.
Beds were dirty. Worst to come bathroom gor flooded in 3 mins and no way to let fo the water puddle.
Just that the owner is a nice guy and he tried to help but it is a one man show and i do not recommend it for any one at all.
- fatemeh (4/5): The management has a lot to reconsider - Unfortunately we had an extremely unpleasant experience at this riad for two nights. List of problems:
1) We were told that they were unaware of our booking on arrival and after showing our confirmation and waiting around were reassured that it was a mistake and that they were aware of our booking.
2) A large Italian group arrived at midnight on our first night and were served food in the communal area of the riad at that time. The group was extremely loud and inconsiderate and woke us up for a good two hours in the middle of the night. The rooms are all surrounded by the communal areas and any noise can be heard and despite us giving two warnings the noise continued at a high level. The hotel was aware of this large group and should have either not booked other guests or not allowed them to sit in the communal area at such a ridiculous time.
3) We were told we could only pay for the outstanding amount of the payment with cash despite the booking emails not mentioning this at all. This caused us great trouble late at night on our second night there.
Munzer, the young man who looks after the hotel and guests on a daily basis did really try his best to help and ease these problems for us but these were all issues that the management should have thought of and dealt with beforehand.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Riad in Fes - We had an excellent stay at Riad Taha. Mundir the host was very professional. He greeted us when the taxi driver dropped us off and walked with us to the Riad. This Riad was very easy to find after been shown where it is. Any questions we had Mundir was able to help us with. I highly recommend this Riad for those staying in Fes.
- Ryan (10/5): - Great hospitality and very friendly.
The meals were delicious!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everyone was so nice, wonderful and helpful! They made our experience in Fes even more wonderful!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the position of the hote in the heart of the medina, near place r'cif i ideal. Our room was very inexpensive, comfortable, and quiet, with efficient air con.
- george (8/5): Nice niche riad in the middle of Fes - Our family stayed in the riad for 3 nights and great hospitality from Alladin picking us up at the square R’cif and Mohammed care taking the riad
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very old structure so rooms were a bit small & my family of 4 felt cramped. Staff was awesome-Itmane was VERY helpful & kind! Hard to locate but we were met by Itmane & escorted to the riad.
- Chi (8/5): nice riad in the medina... will come
back again ! - we spent 2 nights at riad taha. mohammed was a very helpful and friendly host. he picked us up at the taxi stand near the gate (bab rcif). the next day, he offered us a 2-hour walk around the medina, souk, tanneries, and supplemented us with history of Fes, and we also talked about their education and medical service. how nice!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel with super friendly staff - This is a nice Riad in the middle of the Medina. The room was clean and spacious. The views on the terrace are amazing. You feel like you are Disneys Aladdin. Which brings me to our host. Aladin was super nice and helpful and was the reason why our stay here was very special. If you like Marrocan breakfast, it’s pretty good and always fresh. The location and the value for the price are hard to beat.
