Guest Reviews
- Marie-Louise (10/5): The best bnb on the Great Glen Way! - The pine marteen in the garden and the lovely hosts! Nothing!
- Edwards (10/5): - Everything!! Perfect stsy, lovely hosts, amazing good, comfortable room.
- McMeekin (10/5): - Great location, right on the Great Glen Way, lovely quiet area with lots of wildlife. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely clean and comfortable room Nothing
- Thomsett (10/5): The best welcome in Scotland - Lovely B&B with the kindest two owners who met us at the door before we even knocked and welcomed us in. Room was nice double with en-suite and breakfast was really good with plenty of options. The hosts’ unrestricted welcome was particularly poignant as only that morning they had lost a close relative but would not even consider cancelling our stay…..
Dinner was the pub/restaurant just below their house and was best meal so far in Scotland.
- Sixstar Bespoke Tours (10/5): -
- Warren (10/5): Great place. Near the pub. - Loved the hosts. The room and their friendliness. Helpful. Lovely packed lunch. Good advice.
Wildlife people. A wee dram in the room was appreciated. A wonderful breakfast. Nothing really
- Woolford (9/5): - Friendly hosts. Comfortable room.
- MARION (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Exceeded expectations - Lindsey, Manda and Alvah made us feel so welcome right from the minute we met them. They welcomed us into their beautiful home and we were so looked after in wonderful surroundings that the only disappointment was that we were only staying the one night. They were both extremely friendly and accommodating even though I was accompanied by my huge dog. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The complimentary shot of wiskey went down well and, along with the comfortable bed, resulted in a great night sleep. The breakfast was made to order and was, like everything else, perfect and sets you up for the day. I also took up the offer of a packed lunch which was great and definitely kept me going along the next part of our walk. I only wish we could have stayed longer but maybe there will be an opportunity to visit again in the future.
- Julie (9/5): Good B&B in nice proximity to good walking and Loch Ness, with friendly owners and good breakfast. - This is a very nice B&B in a lovely location. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were small but very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Breakfast had a great choice of options and was very well executed and presented. Probably worth saying that this is quite a small house so you are in quite close quarters with the owners, i.e. the breakfast area is adjacent to their living area, but given the friendliness of the place it wasn't an issue. Some B&Bs have seating in rooms or some kind of lounge area - given the size of the place this one doesn't.
- Helen (9/5): Fantastic, friendly B&B along the Great Glen Way - We loved our stay at this friendly B&B.
The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. We loved the little shot of whiskey!
The breakfast was excellent and due to the local pub being closed, Lindsey even went out to get us Fish and chips in the evening. Definitely above and beyond - and very much appreciated!
Overall, a wonderful stay and fantastic location during our Great Glen Way walk.
- Carine (10/5): Fabuleux - Un bel accueil une maison chaleureuse. Merci encore
- Peter (10/5): -

- Robert (10/5): A real home from home. With good food and good conversation. - A warm and friendly welcome from the owners in this home from home.
A comfortable bed and good conversation.
The house is set in a delightful garden run on orgânic lines
The breakfast was a real treat with a choice that included porridge, kippers and Haggis as well as the usual eggs, bacon and sausage. Packed lunches also available.
- Nicoletta (10/5): Great place to stay - Place was very nice. comfortable, and clean.
We were all very happy!
Niets, eigenlijk. Het plaatje klopt
- BrettHalliday (10/5): Just fantastic - Fantastic host, very welcoming. Everything was perfect.
Niente, tutto eccellente
- kevin (10/5): - Delightful and friendly hosts, sharing their knowledge of local birds and wildlife, saw our first Red Squirrel, great little Bnb in a lovely village, great breakfast, really nice stay, would highly recommend
- Stephen (9/5): We loved it!!! Nature lovers paradise. Would definitely stay again if in the area. - Location great for nature lovers. We were shown red squirrels as soon as we arrived. Lovely clean property. The owners were extremely freindly and treated us like part of the family.
Breakfast superb. Would have been a 10/10 if the bed had been slightly bigger than a double in the 'Ash' bedroom.
- Alex (10/5): Happy to return for future trips. - Very nice personal service from our hosts. Excellent facilities with plenty of space and well maintained. We received a very helpful note on booking dinner nearby, access and arrival times. Not disappointed in anyway.
- Caroline (9/5): Lovely stay at perfect stop right on Great Glen Way abd adjacent to pub - Right on the path. Very helpful & attentive hosts. Lovely breakfast & packed lunch. Lots of little touches in the room. Allowed dogs. N/A
- Sandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luscombe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): Well worth staying - Friendly hosts with a great sense of humour, very clean and breakfast was amazing.
- Baljeet (10/5): A remote little paradise - Lindsey and Amanda work extremely hard to provide a warm Highlands welcome and ensure all of their guests needs are thoroughly met. The room was large, clean and had everything we could possibly need. They were very informative and passionate about their area and about the local wildlife, seeing the feeding nuthatches was a joy. They were extremely dog friendly our dog loved staying there. They were keen to ensure we had suitble arrangements for dinner. Breakfast was excellent, the haggis was particularly good so don't miss that! They take a genuine interest in their guests and really want to make sure we had a smooth and enjoyable stay with them and in their beautiful village. nothing
- Miguel (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (10/5): Quiet, lovely apartment close to the nature with a warm welcome - Our stay at Craik Na Dav B&B in Invermoriston was unforgettable. Lindsey and Manda were so welcoming, and the animals around the house – the dogs, birds, and even a legendary deer – added so much charm.
One highlight was the porridge. I was not too fond of porridge before this visit, but theirs was absolutely to die for – creamy, perfectly cooked, and so flavorful. They generously shared tips on making it the best, but to truly experience it, you have to visit them yourself. ;)
The facilities were excellent, and the thoughtful touches, like a whiskey dram for my partner’s sore throat, made us feel genuinely cared for. Lindsey and Manda also gave invaluable advice for our hike to Fort Augustus along the high route of the Great Glen Way. A heartwarming stay we’ll always remember!"
- Alicia (10/5): - We stayed a night while walking the Great Glen Way. It is literally on the route. Very welcoming and comfortable. Good breakfast. Ate dinner at the Glenmoriston Arms which was very good.
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irene (10/5): Excellent all round - Great B&B excellent hosts good breakfast wide choice.Good location nothing
- Sydney (10/5): Exceptional -

- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - I like the warm welcome
How clean the place was how nothing was to much trouble
They stop and chat with you
They were full of local knowledge
The food was just perfect
I would give this place an easy 11/10 and the takeaway lunch was just uuuummmm Nothing
it was a perfect ending to a long trip and im glad we picked this place
- John (10/5): I wonderful place with a great location. - A wonderful location and fantastic building in the forest by the sides of Loch Ness. Someplace tolerate dogs, but here they love them. - Donna (10/5): Fantastic hosts who are truely lovely and provide beautiful rooms - Location. Service by hosts-wonderful
- Ken (7/5): Good -
- Lisa (10/5): The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in their beautiful home. - Our nature loving hosts were exceptional in providing a warm welcome. Breakfast was delicious and the kipper was especially good. I enjoyed sitting with the other guests chatting while the hosts made sure we had everything we needed. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. A lovely touch was to provide a wee dram of whiskey in our room. This was a great place to stop over on our way to Skye but we happily would have stayed longer. Nothing not to like.
- Justin (10/5): Genuine friendly Scottish hospitality! - A warm welcome and genuine friendly hospitality awaits! We learnt so much about real Scottish customs and traditions (food, flora and fauna and history). The property was a beautiful house tucked away in a nice quiet location, perfect for walking and with a fabulous view of the mountains. Thoughtfully appointed clean room and comfy bed (and a wee dram!) ensure a restful night's sleep and a sumptuous breakfast in the morning sets you up perfectly for the day ahead. I thoroughly recommend a night or two at Craik Da Nav.

Such a quaint cottage with the garden and wildlife all around. We were served a traditional Scottish breakfast, and it was wonderful, even the haggis! We felt very welcomed here and the next time I'm in Scotland, I am making it a point to stay here again!

- Jennifer (10/5): Clean, convenient, friendly B&B! - Very close to the Great Glen Way, so perfect for walkers. The sisters were friendly and helpful. I wonder if I could have dropped my bag off before the check in time? I didn’t arrange it ahead of time, but including that information in the check in email would be helpful.
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Bloody fantastic stay
- Christel (9/5): Remarkable B&B in a very positive way! - Welcoming hosts. Funny. Nice breakfast. Marvellous beds.
- Patricia (10/5): Excellent stay - We had a rental car issue - flat tire - and they were a great help. More importantly they are lovely people and great hosts. And the place is charming.
- George (10/5): 10/10 - Absolutely superb. We were looked after so well. Lovely place, lovely people. When we had to leave early morning.
- Andrew (9/5): A great place to stay. Thoroughly recommend it. - Great hosts. Breakfast was delicious and the wildlife garden was delightful. Saw many birds and a red squirrel. Shower was a bit weak.
- Damaris (9/5): lovely stay on the NC500 route, lovely hosts, and comfy room - Breakfast was lovely (it comes with a view of birds and wildlife feeding as well if you're lucky, like us), bedroom was nice, beds were clean and comfy, nice selection of teas etc, spacious bathroom. Whisky in the room was a nice touch as well. Staff were very lovely and kind. There was a funny smell in the room when we got there, couldn't figure out if it was from the drains in the bathroom or from the room itself as even after airing the room it came back. It didn't detract from the experience itself as everything otherwise was lovely, good, and clean so not sure why the smell.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - The room, the location, the breakfast, the comfortable bed were all outstanding. What made our visit especially awesome was the kindness and engagement of our hosts. Thank you for all that you do for the birds, the pine marten, and the community along the Great Glen Way!
- Jeanette (10/5): Lovely hosts, welcome home from home stay - Very warm, friendly welcome to both humans and dogs! Helpful, personalised information and opportunities to enhance our stay. Great location, dinner recommendation and booking.

- M (10/5): What a wonderful B&B Craik Na Dav is! Visit immediately! - If you are looking for a peaceful & charming retreat in the Scottish Highlands, Craik Na Dav is the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome from our hosts, Lindsay & Amanda who made us feel right at home.
The cleanliness of the B&B is impeccable - from the spotless bedrooms to the sparkling bathrooms, we were impressed by the attention to detail. Our room was really lovely & comfortable with all the amenities we could have asked for including a smart TV, tea & coffee, a selection of fruit & even a wee dram!
The real highlight of our stay however was the delicious breakfast. The hosts provided a wide range of options to suit all tastes & everything was cooked to perfection. The Haggis was particularly lovely & with more than enough to eat we found ourselves thoroughly set up for day.
In addition to the wonderful accommodation & food, the hosts' knowledge of the local wildlife was simply amazing. A link to a webcam of their beautiful garden was such a lovely touch where with a wee bit of luck we could spot red squirrels, pine martens & a wide range of birdlife. We were actually blown away by the abundance of wildlife in the area.
Overall, our stay at Craik Na Dav was simply wonderful. From the welcoming hosts, impeccable cleanliness & gorgeous breakfast to our wonderfully comfortable & homely stay, we couldn't have asked for more. We can't recommend this B&B enough to anyone looking for a relaxing & memorable stay in the Scottish Highlands.

- Shelley (10/5): An Earth Angel B&B - The two sisters, Lindsey & Amanda are earth angels. They went out of their way to help me resolve a flat tire and directly dealt with EuropCar and their affiliates who refused to help and in fact, made us figure out how to get my tire fixed.
Their lovely B&B is located in the beautiful village of Invermoriston. They even fed me dinner and transported me to and from my car until I received recovery assistance. Excellent food, comfortable rooms and beds, directions and support. I wish I could have stayed longer, and will next time I visit!
- Maria (10/5): We felt very well looked after during our stay, the owners were very warm & good company . Delicious filling breakfa - Lovely location with beautiful view of the mountains and wildlife in the garden to watch with very welcoming & warm hosts. There isn’t anything not to like.

- Susan (10/5): - Location was ideal for walking The Great Glen Way. Hosts were very welcoming.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very warm welcome and one of the most dog friendly places we have ever stayed.
- Simon (10/5): Lovely little B&B - The owners of this B&B were very friendly and made me feel welcome. Within the limits of COVID restrictions I enjoyed talking with them!
The B&B itself is lovely, I was in a well-sized room with a good shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty and filling, and if you're walking then I recommend the packed lunch - it kept me going throughout the next day.
If you're worried about COVID, this was also one of the few places I stayed on my journey that took COVID precautions seriously, everything was very clean. It's a great place to stay if you want somewhere COVID-safe.
- Clyde (10/5): - What a treat! We were greeted by the sisters Lindsey and Manda as well as their two adorable Westies, Frazer and Skye. The wee dram and shortbread biscuits upon our arrival were lovely gestures. We traveled all over Scotland and this was our favorite place. If you appreciate nature you will love this setting.
- Jon (10/5): - Excellent stay. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. Great location off the main road, nice and cozy. If you are visiting the area you should stay here.
- Eric (10/5): A place to go and stay ! - This is the 3rd time I have been to Craik Na Dav B & B and it is always with the same pleasure.
For the anecdote I occupy the same room as the previous times and the dram of whisky is still waiting for us, which is always comforting after a day of hiking in the rain and wind. Everything is excessively clean and we have a private bathroom (toilet, sink and shower).
The owners invite you to share a coffee or tea with them in their living room. The window feeders are home to a number of familiar species of wild birds: finches, elegant goldfinches, great tits, blackbirds ... and turtledoves and pheasants in the garden.
The owners kindly reserved a table at the Glenmoriston Arms Hotel which is located just below their house. In the last few years things have improved greatly in Scotland in terms of both the quality of the cuisine and the level of plate and service.
The next day, after a good night's rest and a hearty breakfast, I headed back through the hills to Drumnadrochit, in the rain and wind.
B & B that I recommend greatly if you stop over in the area.
- Kevin (10/5): Quality Hospitality - Came here with our 2 Pugs which was great being Dog Friendly. The Hosts couldn't have been more helpful and Friendly. We only stayed 1 night on our way to Skye but would return in the Future. Breakfast was 1st class!
