- James (9/5): - Lyndhurst Guest House is in good walking distance from the town centre approx 10mins . But is also in a quite one way street alongside the river with mature trees lining the riverside. For the Guesthouse, nothing really for myself. Perhaps an update plug socket tower that enables guests to charge their numerous mobile devices through USBs etc .
Kendal itself ould be difficult for veggies and vegans to find appropriate eating establishments in the evenings

Exactly what you need really, comfy rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, and the place is clearly personally managed, so it has that personal touch. Yvonne is delightful and I loved talking to her. Very communicative and helpful! Nothing really!
- Ben (9/5): Great home from home with a very friendly and helpful host. - The guest house was on a quiet street next to the river and within walking distance of the town centre. The owner Yvonne was fantastic and gave us a wonderful welcome. The room was a good size and full of character. I liked the biscuits and hot chocolate in addition to the normal tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities were very clean and there was plenty of hot water. The room was a bit chilly when we arrived in the evening but Yvonne sorted that out and it was soon warm.

- Candice (10/5): Perfect host, location and stay! - We had a lovely stay at Lyndhurst Guest House. The room was spacious and clean, the bed very, very comfortable, we had a view of the river, ensuite bathroom and shower, free WiFi, tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided in the room along with the kettle, mugs etc...
Yvonne was lovely! Instructions to enter upon arrival were clear and she was in correspondence with us in the days prior. She had our continental breakfast prepared on time on the days we requested and she made sure that we were comfortable during our entire stay.
The High Street is just up the road and transportation links to Windermere, Keswick, Grasmere and Bowness are nearby at Kendal bus depot which is within walking distance to Lyndhurst. There is also a few bus stops near Lyndhurst Guest House which were ever so convenient to head straight to Windemere or to Haverwaithe to get the steam engine train to Lakeside (for the aquarium and ferry). We had no issue with riding public transportation to the tourist spots.
The area was quiet as well as the guest house. There were other guest but we never heard or saw them.
I will definitely return and stay here again!
Many thanks to Yvonne for making us feel so welcome and for such wonderful hospitality.

- Toni (10/5): - Yvonne is a wonderful host. She is personable, friendly & so, so helpful. I really enjoyed chatting with her (and also meeting her sweet little dog, Scout), and I had a brilliant stay at her lovely guesthouse. It's situated in a very quiet area a short distance from the town centre. The room I stayed in was perfect, spotlessly clean & had everything I needed, including a very comfy bed. I slept like a log throughout my stay. It also had a view of the river, which was really nice. There were also lovely little touches in the room like crocheted items, and homemade biscuits on arrival. I would definitely book to stay here again if I was ever back in the area. There was nothing that I didn't like.

The property is close to the town centre with a range of eateries and shopping centres.

- Jeremy (9/5): Very good value for money while visiting the Lakes - Location within easy walking distance of the Kendal town centre walking alongside the river Kent. Nice large comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Spotlessly fresh and clean accommodation and quiet location. Breakfast (£7.50) was good value too. Difficult to find fault considering the relatively low price.
- Jon (9/5): Superb - Yvonne could not have been more helpful both before and during our visit, to the extent of running after us down the street when we left with a forgotten tube of toothpaste. Lots of nice touches such as home made biscuits , water with lemon slice etc. The room was a bit small.

The cross word in the room was so fun that we spent too much time on it rather than sleeping! The toilet flush is bit weak.
Provide the answer for the crossword in the room 😂

- Alan (1/5): Yvonne is an awful human being - The host is the most obnoxious woman who likes to scream in the front street because our tv was apparently too loud we were spoken to like two naughty children it was disgusting. We are both 60 years old and my partner a veteran who suffers deafness and ptsd from service had the tv on the news as he does at home while he sleeps as it helps him cope with hyper vigilance was really upset about it all and to be spoken to in that manner was hard to deal with when he was an officer in the army and looked after men in conflict and never spoke to anyone like that on a battle field let alone in public we checked out a day early and found other accommodation we did ask for breakfast which is only cerial and most and were told sorry we only have 4 slices of bread in the building REALLY!! I just think had we not been spoken to like this my review would have been totally different she ruined my stay and cost me more money altogether very bad management in my opinion so please be aware of this and be good boys and girls if u are staying here in the future or you may be the victims of her tounge as we were
- Andrew (10/5): Fantastic host, hotel and location. - Yvonne as a host was outstanding and very welcoming. Nothing was to much trouble. Gave us information about the best restaraunts, and helped me out in where to go for a day out hiking in ullswater. Very attentive and was always available for any queries. Room was lovely, clean and bed was very comfortable. And hotel was also a great location. Nothing, all was good.
