Guest Reviews
- Fuhrman (9/5): - Room was clean and conveniently located near the convention center.
- Jaden (9/5): -
- Bell (10/5): I enjoyed staying here, very clean, friendly staff. I will definitely stay again - Clean and convenient
- JohnsonMama (3/5): Had a great shower and that was all that was good - It was close to the board walk. The shower was great. It wasn't sunset beach that we stayed at. It was under renovations. They moved us to their sister location across the street. It wasn't the nicest. Wasn't the cleanest. Had to ask for towels that we weren't sure were clean. We were supposed to stay again but rebooked else where.
- Peyton (10/5): -
- Kylah (7/5): I would stay here again if the rate was under $100 a night if it was anything more than that I would go somewhere else. - It was right near the boardwalk and close to dollar general and some restaurants which was nice. It also provided soaps and lotion. They also had a nice big size fridge and draw space for clothing. The room felt very humid, the ac worked but it didn’t cool you down really or have that cold feeling all hotels have. It also was very old fixtures. Lots of rust on the mirror/ light fixtures/ toilet and shower. Toilet seat came off when lifting it to use the bathroom the nails were completely rusted.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Yahaira (8/5): Other than that I liked that the room, beds and bathroom was very clean! The room service lady was very nice and the sta - The property was clean. I didn’t like that the light from the hallway was to bright and the room with 2 beds aren’t spacious is just to tight for two people to walk.
- Jason (7/5): Overall stay was pretty good. - Staff was friendly and room was close to the convention center which made it a great location to stay. Room could have used a little more sweeping (felt dirt on bare feet), and bedding had minor stains.
- Luis (9/5): -
- Stanley (5/5): Room was clean but very small - location was excellent. - Location - very close to beach/boardwalk. No coffee maker, clock, phone in room. Did not like piggyback parking.
- Bill (8/5): -
- John M (3/5): - We did not stay at the sunset. When we went to check in we were told by a random worker that the hotel was closed and we had to go a couple blocks away to a different hotel owned by the same people.
- Brian (5/5): -
- Cynthia (6/5): - Great location. Near the boardwalk and beach. Comfortable beds. Very small rooms. Tiny bathroom. Outside and balconies aren’t very clean.
- Stefanie (1/5): it would’ve been nice if they would’ve gave me some of my money back because I’ve never experienced nothing like this in - when I got into my room, the toilet seat had blood stains on it. The blankets were not clean then they have the nerves to charge me a $200 on my card to hold for cleaning when the room was not even clean they didn’t try to offer any type of service or money back which I thought was very crazy. I had to buy my own cleaning supplies to clean and tell them to bring me a blanket so that I can change myself. I came back sick from that place. it wasn’t cleaned and the service sucked.
- Angela (9/5): -
- Susan (6/5): Great location close to the boardwalk - Close to the boardwalk Rooms were small not much space to move around
- Chanthony (8/5): The front desk manager was hands-down the best I ever dealt with! - N/A N/A
- Carey (10/5): Our stay at Sunset Beach Hotel was an enjoyable experience. - First, the rooms were exceptionally clean. We stayed two nights in two different rooms. One with a kitchenette, the other with a microwave and refrigerator. We enjoyed both.
The staff were courteous and professional in their duties. Abhi, Sue and Robert were just excellent. We even got a taste of a roti dish the staff had prepared for their dinner!!!
I would definitely go back to Sunset Beach Hotel. I wish I had more of their roti dinner.
- Charlotte (10/5): -
- Adyson (7/5): My stay was comfortable and fun. - Loved the location and the staff were extremely nice. The floor felt like you were walking in sand. Wish the floors were cleaned better upon arrival
.
- Stephanie (7/5): - I did not like that iron board and iron did not automatically comes with my room. I have to go to front desk to pick up a small iron board and iron then when I was leaving it's my duty to return the the ti the front desk.
- Mathew (10/5): - I did not know there was breakfast no one told us
- Connor (8/5): -
- SANDRA (8/5): -
- Anesha (8/5): -
- Dawn (1/5): Refused to stay - IDK Did not stay at the motel. Changed my reservations to another place. Did not like: needing my license to sign in, adding $200.00 on my credit card in case I trashed the room. I told them that I needed to take pictures before I leave to prove things - thats not right. No adequate place to park my car but could leave my keys at the front desk and they would call us during the night to determine if they should move the car or we would. I am not giving anyone keys to my car. Went to the room and was very small. Opening the door would hit the bed. There was no breakfast included. Could hear noise from the people in another room and even things happening outside. Too many things that disappointed me
- Brandon (7/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Elaine (1/5): Disgusting. Not a beachfront property. - This was a horrible stay. Moldy, humid room not clean.
- Christopher (1/5): Paid for a room to drive home - Location was Great but not my kind of place to stay.and the guy who worked the front was very nice. Dirty Bathroom, room has Black mold all over, beds were 30 years old or older,No local TV, just a dive and we paid and had to leave because my wife had to go to the hospital because she could not breath she has asthma
- Guiliana (8/5): Good price for a Memorial Day Weekend stay! - Close to beach and exceptionally good service! Wifi kept going in and out
- Tyler (9/5): Great place to stay for the money with great staff - Abdul was an amazing staff member always checking everytime he saw us that everything was ok. Everyone was very nice. Great place to stay for the money. Short trip tk the beach and boardwalk. The only thing I would say is there was only a small pan to cook with. Other than that everything else was great
- Christa (10/5): -
- De La durantaye (7/5): Très bien -
- Beata (10/5): -
- Shocta (8/5): -
- Angela (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor and the stairs were steep. The parking was tight. A car was parked behind ours and we had to wait till they moved their car so we could leave.
- James (3/5): Not very pleasant - Location was good Bed bugs I got eaten alive
- Yvonne (8/5): - The railing on the 3rd floor that is around the walkway is old rusted and very unstable: it was very clean in the room. Don’t think I would stay here again .
- Jose (10/5): -
- Karman007 (5/5): -
- denis (10/5): -
- Paige (10/5): - Really nice staff, location is amazing and room is really clean. Definitely would stay again.
- Ziomary (7/5): Good little getaway. - It was perfect location and super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beds felt horrible as did the pillows, the shower heads didn’t work in the bathroom nor did the fan/light fixture and the WiFi was barely working. It was extremely loud outside and none of the noise was filtered by the walls but that’s outside their control. $200 hold was crazy
- Michael (8/5): -
- Craig (6/5): Nice room, but with limited accessibility for the handicapped. - It was clean and close to the boardwalk. Not handicapped accessible. It was extremely difficult to get up to room. The property name, in my opinion, is misleading. It is not a hotel, it is a motel. It would have been nice to have a staff members assistance in getting luggage up to room. It would also be nice to have assistance getting it back down. Thankfully, another guest helped with that.
- cortijo (10/5): -
- cortijo (10/5): -
- Rich (8/5): - Needed a place to stay for the weekend while we went to Boots at the Beach
The room was clean, no problems.
Beach and boardwalk was across the street.
- Qiana (10/5): -
- Shyann (8/5): - Very close to the beach! The piggyback parking was a little stressful
- joseph (4/5): -
- Carrie (4/5): - Location Piggy back parking, housekeeping didn’t come around
- brian (1/5): Never again! - The pictures and description on Booking.com are not indicative of the actual property. The property has piggy-back parking. You have to leave your keys at the office so they can move your car as needed to let the car in front or behind you out. If the office closes before you get to the property they have your keys until the next day. This information wasn’t disclosed until the day of your reservation. (We were already on our way) There are “fines” for everything ie. if you put a bottle in your regular trash can, not in the recycling can you will be fined. Quite a few other’s like this one.
Our shower head blew off when my husband turned on the shower. Was told they “will call maintenance” maintenance never came and when I reminded the office about it at checkout I was told maintenance did come and fix it (they did not) then I was told I should have called ( called 3x no answer) to remind them. Office was closed when we got back to property. So, we showered in the waterfall as quickly as possible as to not flood the bathroom because the pipe wasn’t centered into the tub.
Horrible experience! We will be heading back up to Wildwood Crest for all future stays!
- Keedra (7/5): - Location to the boardwalk and beach, and room was nice and clean Parking wasn’t great, had to piggyback. As a result, my car was damaged but property management never said anything
- Christopher (10/5): Great friends vacation - Very quiet an close to everything an all the fun on the boardwalk
- Eleanor (1/5): - The location to the boardwalk was great The room that we were given was nothing like the pictures that I saw online. The room was very small It did have two beds It should have one for the size of the room. There was no place to hang clothing. The furniture in the room looked like it was in a flood It was all warped and peeling halfway up the bureau the nightstand. The lamp that was on the nightstand was rusty. The room had an odor to it can't explain what it was but there was definitely an odor. The bathroom that they show in the pictures online was nothing like what was in that room. The bathroom was okay but it was just a regular bathroom there was no fancy shower there was no glass doors. The room was very dingy looking. I did go to the office and explain this is not what I thought I was getting He moved us to another room that he said was much better The only difference to that room was it had somewhere to hang some clothing and the furniture was in a little bit better condition. We had no view because we were put all the way into the back of buildings you could not see anything from where we were but the other building in front of us. I did ask about the bathroom he said they only have a certain amount of those and they were all booked. Robert in the office said they were going to remodel this winter. I would not recommend this place. If they do remodel check it out before you go
- Zenab (4/5): -
- Tyler (8/5): -
- Desiree (6/5): - It was great value and a fantastic location. Direct access to the boardwalk and the park was about a block away. The shower in my room only put out hot water, too hot to bathe my son and it burnt me trying to shower. The walls are so thin, it sounded like the occupants in the next room were in ours.
- Jeniffer (9/5): Great stay - Few steps away from the board walk which is very convenient. Nothing.
- Joao (10/5): -
- Marcia (10/5): A weekend getaway and this facilitiy was perfect for us location - Clean modern bath/shower comfortable bed. Location to peer and boardwalk.
- Oreahna (10/5): - It was an awesome trip. The office staff was nice and the rooms were very clean. Its definitely within walking distance. The only thing is, they have piggy back parking. So, I would recommend pulling all the way forward. If you dont pull forward, you have to leave your keys in the office so the staff can move your vehicle for others to get out.
- Tracy (8/5): - Clean and close to boardwalk. Parking
- Kisha (10/5): - The property was nice, comfortable, need extermination, needs to be a little bit more detail to cleaning overall great please and I would recommend
- Tomasz (8/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): - nice staff. Clean
- khin (10/5): - I like the location the best 100% the people who work there are the best. I usually tip in when I leave the room but this time I forgot I'm sorry for that. And thank you!! The bathroom is too small when I take a shower I couldn't put it in my clothes anyway. 🚽 is really old they need a new one, my husband saw small roaches🪳🥴. I do not like car parking.
- Emily (8/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Elyssa (1/5): - Close to the beach Pretty much everything blankets, smell like curry rooms are not how they appear.
- Amy (6/5): - No pool
- Dana (5/5): Pay a little more money to stay somewhere nicer. - Just the location to the boardwalk I absolutely hated the parking, the do a piggy back parking lot so first off the parking spots are super small so it’s tight if you have an SUV. Then if you park behind someone you have to leave your keys with the office in case they have to move it. I didn’t really feel comfortable with doing that. Then the rooms were super small. It’s more of a motel tell not a hotel. The outside light remained on all night which was so bright no one in my family could fall asleep. Even though the staff was nice I would never book here again.
- Rutt (7/5): -
- Robyn (1/5): Horrible - Close to the beach. Air conditioning worked well None of the outlets worked, hair in the shower and bed, floors not clean, room doesn’t look like the photos, parking situation was horrible (piggyback parking), surge protector broken and made sparks when you plugged things in, walls were paper thin and you could hear everything, there was a surprise $200 security deposit at check in, if you accidentally put a recyclable item in your room trashcan you lose your $200 security deposit. When we found the comforter in the dresser drawer, it was gross and had stains on it and looked as though it hadn’t been washed ever. No warning that when you open your door to go inside, there is a step down. We almost broke an ankle.
Do not stay here
- Tanisha (6/5): - That its at a good location. When we got there whoever cleaned the room use the bathroom and forgot to flush the toilet.
- Ashley (5/5): Overall, it was a decent stay. I would’ve given a better rating if that old adjoining door wasn’t there (or if I even kn - It was in a great location and very clean. The staff was awesome and very friendly. There was a door in our room that used to be for an adjoining room next door. It was sealed, so no one could go through, which was good. The problem is you could hear literally everything in the room next door, even though they were speaking and using the TV at normal volumes. We barely slept because of it. Now I know why it wasn’t expensive to stay.
- Jena (4/5): - The staff was nice and the location was great. The parking was horrible, no one told us about the pool being at a different location so we missed out on that. The room was dirty, the descriptions were misleading on laundry facilities and stuff. The ice machine was broken, the grill was caked with stuff, it just didn’t match the description or lived up to its pictures.
- JaeLena (2/5): Extremely small room, fridge leaking, loud AC. gnats, Mosquitos, flies EVERYWHERE - Beds were comfy Bugs all over.
- Darlene (6/5): - The room was fine for the stay, however, there were times I went yo the office and no one was there. Also, grounds need a little love and care. A pool is needed on the premises.
- Linda (6/5): -
- Leigh (10/5): -
- Yenny (9/5): Todo bien - No sabia que abia desayuno Estubo bien
- musselman (10/5): -
- Olivia (8/5): - The facilities The pillow should change because it smells of sweat.
- Genene (8/5): Nice staff, clean and affordable - Check-in process was easy and staff were friendly. The only thing that was an inconvenience was the parking situation. The parking spaces are set up as double parking so there is one car parked in back on the other in the lot. If your car is the second car ( blocking the first car in the lot) you have to leave your car keys in the front office in case they need to move it. Luckily we didnt need to use the car too often during our stay. The hotel is in a great location right across the street from the boardwalk and convention center. There is a bike rental place close by and many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is what you expect from a wildwood motel. Nothing fancy but was clean and had a fridge and microwave. I would stay there again because of the location and nice staff.
- Jennifer (7/5): -
- Civitella (5/5): - I loved how close it was to the beach I hated the beds. Too uncomfortable and how none of the plug outlets worked and trying to get our door open took all of our strength.
- Alison (10/5): -
- Kenedi (8/5): -
- Ruggiero (3/5): I would not recommend this hotel. - Wanted to be close to the convention center, which it was. That’s about the only upside. The room was not very clean, shower curtain was dirty and the wall had a dried up contact lens stuck to it. The bathroom we had isn’t even shown in these photos, they must only show the nicer ones after they ACTUALLY clean. There was dirt in the corners and stains next to the bed, dust under the tv. The towels were severely stained. The blankets that they had provided in the dresser drawers looked like they were from 2005 Walmart, the fabric was so warn in spots it looks like a dog laid on them for a month. They didn’t even smell clean, so I walked to the dollar store to get my own blanket. Our room was at the top of the steps, one of the nights someone woke us up by repetitively trying to get into our room. The parking was absolutely terrible, I saw multiple people open their doors and carelessly hit the cars next to them… there’s a parking lot across the street that this hotel could probably rent spots from. Ultimately I should’ve spent the extra money to stay at the oceanic where I know it’s clean and parking isn’t as bad… or even elsewhere. I wouldn’t be so angry if I didn’t spend much on this hotel but it was quite expensive to stay in a dump the entire weekend.
- Ibet (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): - Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms
- ada (10/5): -
- Beth Ann (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): - It was clean. Ready on time. Met my expectations for the price. Parking is extremely tight.
- Destiny (5/5): It was fine. In my opinion paid more than what it is worth.. - Close to the beach, very nice staff but not very attentive to guests. Used condom inside of one of the pillow cases. I always strip the bed of the sheets when I check out to make it easier on the cleaning staff - apparently they do not change the sheets as often as needed… It was crusted and very very old.
