Guest Reviews
- Stephen (9/5): Safe, quiet neighborhood! - The continental breakfast was amazing! So cute, many things to choose from. I might recommend that the milk for drinking and cereal be put into a small refrigerator and maybe not be out for two hours? Otherwise, everything was delicious with lots of choices and of course delicious coffee and cream too. We needed a lot of assistance with how things functioned in the room for my 87 year old dad. Shower knob indicated hot and cold water and it was not correct. He had trouble navigating the thermostat on the wall and slept in a cold room for the first night with no hot water in the shower. The soap provided was very small for a person to use more than once. And if things like the thermostat, working the TV and information about how to get to the Continental breakfast could have been provided in a brochure or in writing; he may have been able to handle everything he needed to remember. However, that being said, the gentleman at the front desk on Saturday morning was kind, patient, helpful, apologetic and totally understanding of everything we brought to his attention and remedied everything to the best of his ability. Including ensuring that my dads sink had a working stopper!! We would stay here again; for the price he paid, the facility was OK but I felt could have been priced much lower and appeared to be empty of people staying there on a weekend when there was no vacancies at several hotels/motels due to a fishing event at Lake Koocanusa. I hope this motel continues to improve and stay in business! Love to support the local businesses as much as possible!

- Robert (3/5): Dissatisfied - The room I was put in the middle of workers from out of town who were loud and up till midnight. This was the second time it happened in a row. The office had a terrible smell.
- Brenda (1/5): There was no stay as they closed their office and we could not check in! NO REFUND issued either! - I don't have anything to like - we weren't able to stay as we weren't able to check-in and they refused to refund us our money since it's through a 3rd party. We called to say we would be late as a check-in, we were told we would have to arrange that through booking.com, but it wouldn't be an issue, so that's what we did. We called back and were told that someone would be at the front desk until 11 PM and since we'd make it by then, we were good. We arrived at 10:50 PM to find the motel completely locked up and no one around, no number to call for after hours, nothing. We ended up having to stay at another hotel close by. When we asked about a refund we were told we weren't eligible for one as we used booking.com. What a joke.

- Linda (8/5): Enjoyed location & price. Will stay again. Thanks đ - Really like the location with the store nearby & it's so nice to just let the dogs out the back door (so to speak) I liked being at the far end, but it was a little trafficy. Something you could do nothing about.
- tarrel (1/5): DONT STAY HERE - A room was available DONT STAY HERE.
The worker was not in office. Had to wait 10 min to check in.
The room was not clean. The bathroom is falling apart. Trim is coming off the tub. The people who live there are very loud and have concern for people who got in late or sleeps past 6am.
The hot water turn ice cold after 6 minutes of use still had shampoo in my hair. Was not a good time.
The fridge was unpluged so when i went to use it, it was warm and never got cold after i pluged it in.
For $112 a night not worth it. Go stay at the poace that offers breakfast.
DONT STAY HERE

- Philio (8/5): Comfortable - Very nice staff. Comfortable room. Soap, shampoo, lotion and Kleenex, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, plenty of towels. Heated room (24° outside this morning). Table, chairs, and TV. Cluttered outside office which might give some people pause.
- Kozlowski (9/5): Trip to Libby - Homey little motel All was good
- Don (7/5): -
- Anita (8/5): - Extremely friendly. Convenient location. Pet friendly.
- Shayne (6/5): sleeping in the 60s - the motel is in the 1960s, the mattress was old and soft. the toilet was very low to the ground. the flooring was good, along with good shower pressure. The walls are very thin,
There was a breakfast that was disent. needs a lot of upgrades.
- Elliott (6/5): - Good potential. Needs work
- Philip (8/5): A comfortable stay. - Basic room. A litle run down but everything worked. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Good food choices in walking distance.
- Miller (7/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): - Great little motel! Clean!
- Betty (8/5): - The doorknob to the room was kind of difficult to open with one of the keys - it seemed a bit loose.
Some prior damage to the bathroom door existed but the room was clean and larger than expected. I thought the bed was comfortable but my spouse didn't like it.
We were in town to visit relatives so we didn't spend much time in the room - it was fine for our needs.
- Deborah (8/5): - My husband left his shoes. They were found and sent to him. What nice people.
- Michael (10/5): The basics at work! - Great little motel. Simple, clean, great owner.
- Glodine (5/5): - Location, bed pretty comfortable None of the appliances plugged in. . The 2 Chairs in room stained , no small lamps easy to reach when going to bed. Electrical plugs in odd places
- Brianna (6/5): - I didnât have high expectations considering the price and area for this motel. Upon checking in, the front desk clerk was far from friendly. He was quite short with us and was very irritated we booked through Expedia. We informed him we had a service animal and he berated us until we paid the pet fee. Even though they state on the website service animals are exempt from this.
The room overall was ok. The beds were comfortable. The light in the shower/toilet area would not turn on. So showering in the dark wasnât ideal but better than hosing off out back. You could clearly see outside through the cracks around the air unit but at least the air conditioning worked well! I probably wonât stay here again just based off the overall experience but it served its purpose for a less than ideal trip.
- colette (8/5): Clean place - clean place
- JODEAN (6/5): - Was not comfortable
- Harold (10/5): - Nice and attractive room; some bits cosmetically challenged, but all clean. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
- EVE (10/5): - The rooms are always very clean. Heat and AC work well. No problems. very nice management.
- GEORGE (8/5): - The room was nice clean remodled beds good
- Marce (6/5): - Itâs not the Ritz, but clean and friendly staff.
Easy walk to grocery store across the street.
- Pressey (7/5): -
- Sara (6/5): - Breakfast was very limited. Only pastries, cereal and fruit. Outside of the building was filled with trash, vehichles, etc. Our family had to maneuver through trash to get to the breakfast room.
- Cory (7/5): Older room with old spring mattresses - Tiling around the tub in the bathroom is falling apart.
- Natalia (7/5): Good -
- Amanda (8/5): - While a little dated, Caboose Motel was more than adequate for our stay in town for a baseball tournament. Everything was clean, and we were very comfortable. Breakfast had great options and we were very pleased. Would stay here again.
- Nicole (1/5): Terrible! We stayed one night then got a different hotel room even though we were still paying for this location. - One story, door opens to car in parking lot. Roomed smelled like stale smoke, the floor in the bathroom- around the toilet- was about to cave in. Shower had mildew everywhere. Air conditioner sounded like a jet airplane landing in our room.
No late checkout, not even 1 hour. Our son was playing in a baseball tournament so we didnât know the times of his games on Sunday- they gave us no wiggle room to checkout around his schedule.
- Thomas (6/5): - Clean and quiet except for the air conditioner which was horrible. It sounded like a washing machine on spin cycle. I had it set on 70 for ventilation and it would cycle from zero to full on every five minutes. Very hard to sleep.
- Heidi (8/5): I was satisfied with the experience. - It was clean, pleasant, reasonably priced and comfortable.
- Joe (6/5): Pleasant - Room was decent. Heater wouldn't turn off so at one point the room was like an oven All of the non related stuff outside. Golf carts and such. Like a garage sale
- Fairbourn (8/5): Quiet, comfortable room on a low budget. - Comfortable bed, slept well. The shower was good, plenty of hot water with a good spray. Couldn't get the television to work, but that was a small annoyance since I was very tired and really just wanted to sleep.
- Mark (8/5): Perfect for what we needed. - We were there just to sleep and the room did just that. We had our dog with us and only playing $10 extra was awesome!
- Brandi (2/5): Very poor -
- Cheryl (10/5): - It was very clean, quiet and we had an enjoyable stay.
- Feryn (9/5): I will be definitely be recommending it, and also staying there over anywhere else. I was very pleased with my stay. - Staff was very hospitable, the beds were very good quality, and rooms were nice. How close to the road I was.
- James (10/5): Good place to stay without breaking the bank. - Older property, has been upgraded, nice bed, clean nothing fancy, but a comfortable stay.
- Gelirina (9/5): Good hotel. -
- Susan (8/5): - Good clean room at good price
- Marlin (4/5): - Iâm not sure/canât remember why I thought this motel would be a good idea. Maybe it was the only available for the date we needed. It was very disappointing. Not much for the price, no plug-inâs, old & poor lightening, no place to put luggage & out of date & dirty. It should have been in the $65 range.
- Robert (10/5): Clean, comfortable and undeniable the best. - The owner and the staff are the best of quality and kindness that cannot be matched locally. I have been in and out of the local area of Libby, MT and the Caboose Motel for a couple of months and the comfort, care and kindness and unbelievable out of the way service is unmatched anywhere local in Libby, MT. I do believe that with the awesome continental breakfast in the morning and the clean rooms will go along ways for this small motel, thank you for the wonderful service during my stay. Nothing, I never had any issues but if their was anything that went wrong in the past or present the owner and or staff was their immediately to fix or correct the issues, if any
- Michele (8/5): - Very comfortable beds đ
- Erik (7/5): Good -
- Robert (8/5): - Price are to big but someone making really good job when cleaning!!! Room was very clean.
- Lisa (6/5): - It was clean and quiet
- Fawn (10/5): I am glad we stayed it was a good place - It wasn't much of a breakfast. Ever since COVID everything has changed. Prices up and not much extra to show for it. They did have the best bed to sleep. I usually show up late and leave early so for me that kind of money to just sleep is always steep. Oh, it was nice because across the street was a grocery store and 20 steps out your door was a cute little casino my daughter liked. Nothing, it was as expected.
- Deborah (10/5): - When you first pull in you donât get a great feeling. Please do NOT let that stop you from staying here. The staff are excellent and friendly. The rooms are clean and look like they have been renovated. The beds are super comfy.
Debbie from Boston
- Scott (8/5): - This is an older motel, but it is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
- Nielson (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (7/5): It was ok. - Breakfast was ok. What I didnt.like is I am a non smoker and when I stayed at the motel people from Idaho and Washington, think that they do not have to follow the rules and laws in our city by not.smoking within 25 feet of the building (which they did not, they smoked right in front.of the room and all dogs must be on a leash, respect other people's property and then I will respect their property but simply put it is so easy to follow the local laws and ordnances but society and people from other states simply dont care.
- The (5/5): Passable - Mattress ok Tv worked poorly, electricity kept surging & flickering. Check in too late. Motel out dated, bathroom Fans didn't work.
- Joe (3/5): Poor -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Left a lot to be desired - Doorframe and curtains were filthy. Air conditioner didnât work, our room was still quite hot at midnight, and worse by morning. Found an open, dirty safety pin on the floor which smelled like it had weed resin on it. Breakfast was just carbs, no eggs or sausage or anything like that. Bed was comfortable but was outweighed by how hot the room was.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- jack (8/5): - Love the old fashion motels!
- Teresa (5/5): Passable -
- Susan (9/5): Great location & dog friendly - The room was dated, but I like that in a room. The room was very clean and bed comfy. The shower pressure worked great. My room was big & had a loveseat, which was a real plus. My 2 dogs & I were very happily installed there. Stayed twice so far. Def recommend! There is a fee for dogs. I don't remember if it was a one time fee for the stay or a nightly fee.
- Maurice (6/5): - Is a cheap hotel that is probably typical for small town Montana.
- Leann (8/5): - Nothing in particular we didn't like. The office lady was very patient and so kind!!
- RODERICK (8/5): - Easy to find and grocery store across the street. Best mattress in all the motels I Have used
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Jianqing (4/5): - Dirty bed sheet, but it was replaced after reporting to the front desk
- Taryn (10/5): Comfortable great front desk! - Room was comfortable. The lady working the desk was wonderful and very accomodating. The TV was not working, she came and reset it. It was glitchy at first, but got better. The ice is in the checkin area, which was locked at 6:30 am, but she came and opened it for me. Breakfast was a true continenital, no hot food, but plenty of choices muffins, bagels, pastries, donuts, yogurt, fruit, and cereal. Coffee milk and OJ as well.
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- Jodi (10/5): - Id forgotten a stuff rabbit that my mom gave me before she passed away. They let my cousin pick it up for me. Outstanding
- Mamta (6/5): - Bare minimum. Shower works. Heat does work, though all HVAC is turned off for the rooms before your stay. It is a motel so it is convenient. Not sure if it is worth 100. The general area/town is really suffering.
Staff is nice.
- Kristen (1/5): Don't believe the rooms are cleaned after stays, very old and musty smell, rude front desk person. - Nothing It was in such poor condition that we did not stay- left and went to different Motel.
- Susan (10/5): - I loved my stay!! The room is dated, but i find that part of the charm. The king bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. My room was clean, huge and I loved having a love- seat in there with plenty of room for my 2 dogs.
Easy access with parking spot in front of my room. I appreciated that, as i had lots of stuff to carry inside. Laundry facilities. Big grocery store across the street. Very nice people run the place. I enjoyed it so much i stayed 1 extra day. Pup fee.
Ill be back. Recommend!
- Tami (8/5): Very good - Good beds & pillows & nice & clean Couldn't get the TV to work
- Donna (5/5): It was ok. The best part of it was the breakfast - The breakfast was good and had good choices. Price of hotel room and accessibility, would have been nice and the room/area was very out dated
- Janice (5/5): Passable - Bed was firm, room clean and bath towels were large and thick. TV was bad, only station we could get was a news station from Connecticut that repeated every 15 minutes.... Called super in to assist to no avail.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Marilyn (6/5): If your in a wheelchair don't stay here, even when your told it's wheelchair friendly. - In a message on booking I was told that it was wheelchair friendly. I called and spoke with a gentleman and he again said it was wheelchair friendly. Not sure what he considered wheelchair friendly, but the bathroom wasn't! The opening into the bathroom was so so small that there was no way my spouse was going to be able to use it. It's not like we expected what some motels offer, but at least have the bathroom door wide enough! We stayed the night as there was no other option. The motel owner was nice to refund us our money, but since it was through Booking I had to go through some loops to get the refund. Customer service through Booking was very helpful and got the issue solved.
- Betty (7/5): Good - very convenient apprence. could be kept up a lot better
- Macpherson (1/5): Zero on a scale of 1-10 - Close to my venue Out dated, the lamps were torn and hanging, hair in the tub, just old and outdated for the amount charged, bed not comfortable.
The mints were sticky on the outside of the wrapper, the streaming WiFi kept freezing and kicking me out. Not a good experience
- Katherine (7/5): Good -
- Robert (6/5): - The price of the room is too high for the service, comfort, and services provided.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Tv reception was terrible
- Stan (8/5): we enjoyed it and will come back - the staff housekeeping it was very clean breakfast could of been better
- Gary (3/5): Unpleasant - Got too the room
Air conditioning not working
It was 93 outside
Owner said it was working but was because it was hot outside
And he walked away room was unbearable
Asked for a different room was declined
Made it through the first night with very little sleep
Asked again for a room change for the next night was told no again
Was very disappointed with his response
Would never stay or recommend this place
- Marissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moulton (5/5): Nobody was at the desk to check us in much to our dismay. I had to call to get our room. - We liked the location. We had spent the day at the 15th annual blues fest and were a bit dehydrated got back to our room around midnight to find the ice machine to be locked up for the night.
- John (8/5): Nice clean comfortable place! - Convenient and clean
- John (1/5): Bed bugs -
- Jaime (6/5): Dated but clean - The room was dated but clean. We asked for a rollaway bed but despite the listing saying the rollaway was free, the hotel wanted to charge us for it, I pointed out the listing in chat, and we never got the rollaway bed in our room.
- Constance (6/5): - Was quiet and clean. Water barely flowed into tub, but was hot. Refrigerator was turned off so took awhile to get it cool.
We were second in line checking in and had prepaid, so only needed room # and keys, but took half an hour to check in.
We waited and waited to get our keys!
Air conditioning quite noisy and no real way to regulate temperature. Was off when arrived so took awhile to cool room down from outside temperature of 99 degrees.
Okay for one night
- Ivan (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good - 7:00 am was a late start.
- Sandra (8/5): - Comfortable and clean and spacious. Convenient location.
- Jace (8/5): - The hotel manager /owner made accommodations for me since I would not arrive until the middle of the night. Price fair for the area, was comfortable A/C works great all I needed was a place to sleep passing through it was perfect. Not a 5 star resort, but it is a cheaper and comfortable option.
- Pamela (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Stanley (8/5): Very good - Clean. Comfortable friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
