I reached out over a week in advance to adjust my stay and was repeatedly promised manager callbacks that never happened. Even after multiple follow-ups on my check-in date, the communication remained nonexistent. Unreliable and unprofessional management

We stayed for one night and it was affordable, close to ever - It's only a few minutes from the pier, staff was super nice. You use a PIN number to get in your room, and if you don't push a button on the pin pad as you leave the door doesn't lock. The beds weren't the best.

• Xavier (6/5): If I go back there then it’ll be out of convenience due to it being very close to the beach. - It was an excellent location from the beach, less than an 8 minute walk. One of the employees was rude. She had her daughter with her and her daughter hit my car with a wagon and failed to apologize until I told her supervisor. She was standing there and was well aware of what her daughter had done so it made me pretty upset. The employees woke me up out of my sleep to change the couch in there which they could’ve done prior to me checking in. They pretty much barged in and even though they noticed me of what they were going to do in advance, I just wanted to sleep in for the first night that I was staying there considering that I drove 5 hours to get there. At times I could hear neighbors around me from their rooms.

• brian (10/5): Excellent - For the price this was an excellent motel. Hard to find fault. They even provide proper crockery and metal utensils, very rare in motel land. Good parking and friendly helpful staff. (One of which helped me find the fridge and microwave...)! The bed perhaps could have been more comfortable. A personal thing.

• jmpncsu (8/5): Winter Stay in Atlantic Beach - We stayed two nights at Island Inn while visiting Atlantic Beach with our dog and 2-year old. It was winter so only a few other people were staying there. The room was cute and plenty of room to set up a crib and dog bed and get comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean and no issues with water. Great location, just a five-minute walk to the beach so we could catch sunrise and sunset. In the winter, the price was very reasonable, even with dog fee. Overall, a nice stay and I would stay here again if visiting Atlantic Beach.

The bed wasn’t comfortable, it was too close to the wall on one side and there was no counter space in the very tiny bathroom. No closet at all, the dresser was coming apart & the dehumidifier didn’t work.

• BENDORF (9/5): Nice hotel. Big rooms. - Great location. Nice size rooms. Lots of little extras. Our room had a complete kitchen! Couch was visibly worn and stained. ( We turned the cushion over). Cabinet had a door that the panel kept falling out. Asked about ice at check in but wasn't told it wasn't working. ( Went to use and it had a sign on it). New Years Eve and we had some beverages we wanted to keep cold. Even tho the overall stay was fine, these annoyances were frustrating.

• David (7/5): The motel is basic but cheerful. - The front desk agent was pleasant. The room was bright and cheerful. The location is good. There were some design issues, such as having to shave and brush your teeth in the kitchen sink because there was no sink it the restroom. The bed was also pushed unnecessarily against the wall, making it impossible to get in or out for whoever had that side. There was a dark stain on the sofa cushion that was unpleasant to see.

• Leslie (9/5): Stayed 2 nights for a local diving charter. Very impressed with the rooms and cleanliness. I loved the door codes to not - Location was great for what I needed. Front desk was kind and friendly. Room was nice and clean. The dehumidifier was a great addition. Parking in the corner was tight. I didn’t realize til I left there was more on the backside.

Our room was clean and we felt safe. So for the money it was good for us. We had a beautiful view of the canals and sunset. The pool was nice and clean but we didn’t use it.

• Deanna (2/5): NO DECENT A/C & NO ICE - We have been coming here for the last 4 years and the location to beach access is wonderful plus it is a pet-friendly hotel. When we checked in, staff did not let us know the a/c was out in the room and we would be using a portable a/c. We called staff to come in room because it was nearly 80 degrees and maintenance told us that was the best portable a/c they had. We were never asked if we wanted to switch rooms nor were we ever offered any kind of discount for the inconvenience. (We stayed 3 nights). Also, the ice machine was out of order and we were told that a gas station had ice down the street. We've been staying at this hotel typically twice a year for the last several years, but it must be under new management. There were a lot of weeds in the rock bedding and the grass desperately needed mowing. (Since we brought a small dog, it was hard for her in the tall grass.) Although the staff was friendly when we checked out, I told her my concerns and all she could say was I'm sorry and I'll give this note to management. Management has not contacted me at all. Very disappointed!!!

HIGHLY recommend. - The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean and the kitchenette made our stay extremely convenient when we wanted to have coffee or meals in the room. The beach is beautiful, clean and welcoming. We didn't have pets this time but many did and it looked like a perfect place for them. AWESOME place to stay! The ONLY difficult thing was crossing the highway;) The place had nothing I didn't like.
• S2430HNpamelaa (2/5): Terrible Experience - I booked a room directly with Island Inn of Atlantic Beach with one of their employees. on 6/6/2025 for the middle of June, 2025. I had to make a payment of $180.00 (-$35.00 cancellation fee) to hold the room (should have been a red flag). My plans changed and I called 6/9/2025 to cancel reservation. I was told manager was out sick and they couldn't do anything until she was back which would be Wednesday. i called back Wednesday and was told the manager was back was unable to process my cancellation at that time. They told me my cancellation was cancelled and I asked if they had a cancellation # and they said no (another red flag) but money would not be refunded until manager signed off on it. I called back Friday and was told I would have to call Bookings to get my money back. I asked why. They said because I booked through Bookings and I said absolutely I did not that I had spoken to their employee Arianna when I scheduled my reservations. I was told manager was still sick and was not in office. i told them I had been dealing with them since Monday trying to get my money back. If I did not get it in a day or two I would show up in person and I would be calling her boss and her boss's boss. i called my credit card company and filed a dispute claim about this nightmare. Guess what, about an hour later, I received an email from Island Inn saying they had refunded my money, strange how that worked considering manager is still sick???? These people are not trustworthy and you need to stay away.

I read this in an older review and we just happened to get the same room. Wasn’t very hot outside upper 70s and it wouldn’t get below 74 in the room. Wasn’t a huge problem we didn’t complain but I can see it being an issue when the weather gets warmer We have 2 kids. Didn’t really like the pool closing at 9pm. It’s well lit around the pool. Would be nice if they kept it open until 10-11. Very clean and a great staff. We will definitely be staying there again.
