• Begoña (6/5): Sitio económico donde hacer una parada hacia bahia de las aguilas. - Tenia aire acondicionado, area de restaurante muy agradable. Se agradecía el agua caliente. Y ubicación de fácil acceso de la carretera general. A mejorar las camas muy duras y música hasta las doce de la noche. Lo que no nos gustó es que el precio de booking no era el que nos acabaron cobrando. El dueño nos dijo que debió de ser un error ocasional de la plataforma, pero vemos en los comentarios que es algo que ocurre sistemáticamente. Estaría bien que el establecimiento solucionara este problema para evitar discusiones innecesarias con los clientes.
• Natasha (8/5): - Great price and close to many amenities. We had television, air conditioning, hot water, clean towels and bed. The room was clean and there is a restaurant on site. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had the cute looking room on the end of the lower level that looks like a little tiki hut and has a window looking out towards a little terrace between the hotel and restaurant which we loved however our only issue with this room is we had no bathroom door which can make for uncomfortable and awkward bathroom duties if you are sharing the room with another person.

Es un hotel renovado con muy buena ubicación y rodeado de comercios. Súper recomendado si visitas Barahona! No hay nada que no me gustase

• Martin (9/5): Sehr schönes kleines Hotel mit Restaurant, gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. - Das Essen war sehr gut, Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind eher klein, haben aber eine eigene Dusche mit warm Wasser, TV , Klimaanlage. Es war alles sehr sauber. Der Preis ist auch sehr gut. Die Lage ist an der Hauptstrasse nahe dem Meer. Ich würde dieses Hotel empfehlen. Ein Handtuch hat nicht 100% sauber ausgeschaut, da war noch Lippenstift zu erkennen.

• Peter (9/5): - The hotel is in the middle of the town, very close to the Caribbean busstation, it is very save and clean. Despite the central situatìon, the hotel is very quiet during the night, the bed is excellent, you can sleep very well. The owner Andrés is very helpfull, helped me with information to visit the Lago Enriquillo by my own. Additionally: if you are without car, ask for Tomas. He is a very trustfull senior motordriver, he can drive you to the different playas. I can recommend this place without any hesitation. Everything was OK.U

Lo staff è sempre stato gentile e disponibile, pronto a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. La struttura è pulita e la posizione è molto comoda per spostarsi e visitare la zona. Il proprietario è stato estremamente carino e disponibile: ci ha aiutato più volte durante il soggiorno e ci ha dato ottimi consigli su posti da visitare e dove mangiare. Ci siamo sentiti davvero ben accolti.

• Michael (7/5): Old school hostal, good, yet fraudulent pricing - A place fallen out of time. Looks like the small hotels and hostales in the Dominican Republic 30 years ago. Cozy basic rooms with AC. Nice outside area with hammocks and chairs, inviting to sit outside and have a beer - chilling atmosphere. Downtown location with excellent steak Restaurant right around the corner, yet built back and relatively quiet. Free street side parking. Night clerk without any clue (daytime with very friendly and helpful "Junior" was way better, tough). A small lamp on the night desk would be a minimal investment and adding much comfort. Price published on booking.com (including all taxes and fees) does not match price charged, which is almost 9.- dollars higher. That's somewhat fraudulent and for me a clear criteria to distecommend this place. Breakfast *(minimal) is way to expensive.

• Ulrike (7/5): Good - Convenient location, good breakfast, and simple and clean rooms. Since all rooms are back in the courtyard, they are protected from the street noise. Also, the courtyard was also a nice place to sit and relax especially since the rooms were a bit dark. The owner, Junior was very kind and helpful. The room I had first was not to my satisfaction, and when I told him about it, he immediately gave me a different room. What I appreciated most, however, was that at the day of my departure, he made breakfast for me at 5:00 am, and then accompanied me to the bus stop for my 5:30 departure because he wanted to make sure that I was safe. My bathroom needed some renovation. It was functional but a bit shabby.

It is also conveniently located near the bus station, ATMs and supermarket. The street is a bit noisy but the rooms were quiet

The room is big enough with comfortable beds. The aircon is working very good. Yes, The bathroom looks a little bit old, but it was clean and there was hot shower. If you want a modern 5star hotelroom, than you have to book and pay for a 5star hotel. Wifi was working good. We parked our car on the street and junior took care of it. But you also can park on a parking spot for 200 pesos. The hotel is on the main road, but it is not noisy because the rooms are in the backyard. There also some hammocks, which is really nice to relax for a while. Thank you, junior! When we arrived we had some moskitos in our room, but after closing the door and caught them, it was good and no new ones came. But maybe a mosquito net would be nice.

• Joris (9/5): It's a good place - The staff, Junior & Lens, were great, a very friendly and helpful bunch. The location of the place is very central, and quiet. The shower actually had hot water! Which is pretty rare in the DR. Lovely communal garden with hammocks and chairs to relax or work, and the attached pub is also pretty nice. Lots of mosquitoes! And the town is a bit dull. But those are not really related to the accommodation.

• Crystal (10/5): Was a pleasure, would book again! Loved the hot water and the quiet stay. - The staff was so nice. We arrived late, and were super tired and had booked 5 min prior to arrival. He was super accommodating. The street outside is loud. Don’t let that throw you off. Once you step into the courtyard it’s otherworldly and when you’re in your room, traffics noise is not even noticeable. It was a nice respite on my busy trip. LOVED the hot water. The toilet seat / lid was broken so it hurt a little to sit and do my business in room 1.

• Jo (7/5): Loro, Loro Tuerto - The room I was given was furthest from the road, so it was relatively quiet. The bed was comfortable and the owner gave me some mosquito spray for the room when I told him I hadn't slept well the first night. He also made me some coffee on the morning when I left, which was a nice bonus. I don't like A/C, but there was no fan, so I had to use it, and was too cold in the night. The assistant was quite grumpy and didn't smile much, and it wasn't easy to communicate with them as I don't speak Spanish.
• James (1/5): Bad - I cancelled but had to pay. It was a non cancel reservation. No problem. None of the advertised website amenities were available to me. I was forced to waste hours trying to find hotel to cancel.repeated phone calls to hotel were not answered. There was no 24hour desk available, no desk at all actually. Knocking on locked doors did not help and no English was spoken. When I finally reached a person to pay for my cancellation, the could not even offer any breakfast restaurant suggestions.. I wasted much time to pay the cancellation because hotel did not offer the advertised amenities or care about them.
