• Ma (10/5): - La chambre était parfaite ainsi que le petit déjeuner. Nous avons regretté de ne pas avoir pu davantage profiter du lieu pour cause de visites touristiques sur la Loire. Une prochaine fois, nous nous promettons de prendre le temps pour lire dans le salon ou dans le vaste parc.

• Jany (10/5): Super séjour chez de supers hôtes ! - Nous sommes restés 10 nuits dans une belle chambre très spacieuse entourée d’un beau parc arboré avec une magnifique piscine. Les petits-déjeuners étaient délicieux et servis par nos hôtes très attentionnés et sympathiques. N’hésitez pas, allez-y !

• MARY (10/5): - Olivier met us in the rain to grab our bags, made a fire in the salon and chilled our wine. House was lovely and so welcoming. Room was beautiful, perfectly appointed. Wonderful dinner recommendation, and then a fabulous breakfast. Wonderful !

Parken - praktisch direkt neben dran. Das Gebäude sieht von außen eher schlicht und rustikal aus, von der Straßenseite (Nebenstraße). Die Gartenseite und der Eingangsbereich sind wirklich schön!

• hugues (10/5): Séjour très agréable - Nous avons passé 2 nuits très agréables dans la chambre Ronsard. Chambre spacieuse avec coin salon, dressing, salle d eau bien agencée. La maison est très agréable, beaucoup d espace. Nos hôtes nous ont accueilli avec beaucoup d’attention et de discrétion. Le petit déjeuner continental est parfait. Les confitures maison délicieuses. Une très belle adresse.

Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et la chambre (au dernier étage) était très romantique. Nous n'avons pas pu essayé la piscine mais le lieu est calme et l'ambiance est sereine (attention toutefois aux chaussures à talon pour les dames à l'arrivée par le parking)

Contrairement à notre auteur de la chambre « Honoré de Balzac » on ne s'étendra pas sur la description du lieu! Un seul conseil allez-y, vous comprendrez...

The property was lovely and well maintained. Beautiful room (especially the bathroom.) Excellent breakfast. Charming town right in the heart of Chateaux country. Scenic driving and cycling through vineyards. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Eher eine kleine Wohnung als ein Zimmer, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, bequemes Bett, Ruhe, und dann ein wirklich traumhaftes Frühstück.

A cidade, Mesland, é bem pequena, mas é extremamente bonita e serve como boa base para visitar o Vale do Loire.

• Sarah (10/5): - This was the perfect place to stay while exploring the chateaus of the Loire Valley. Beautiful house and grounds. Our suite of rooms was so comfortable and spotless. We had a beautifully arranged dish of dried fruits in our room on arrival, water bottles and chocolate. Our breakfast, in front of fire in the fireplace, was sumptuous- selection of French cheeses and pastries, crepes and jam, eggs, fresh juice, French press coffee with frothed milk, selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade bread hot from the oven. The hosts were gracious, kind and so welcoming. Inn is located in a tiny town giving one the sense of life in a French village - but close enough to larger cities so not inconvenient. Parking on site. This is one of my favorite places that I have ever stayed on any vacation. Was hard to leave!

A propriedade foi foi transformada em hospedaria com poucas (5) suites, mantendo o ambiente familiar e acolhedor. O atendimento feito pelos proprietários é fantástico! Foi a melhor experiência em hospedagem que tivemos na viagem de 1 mes por Portugal e França. Recomendo reservar com antecedência , o que inclui os restaurantes da região, pela disponibilidade. .

• Ary (10/5): - This was the best decision to stay at this wonderful 5 star B&B. There is not one thing i can criticize. The hosts Oliver and Sophie were extremely courteous and made us feel at home yet we had our privacy. Our daughter felt at ease and she was very welcomed. The place is outside of Amboise but a 15 min drive trough beautiful passage. Once there we were welcomed by the hosts and the room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We had a nice shower, AC and extremely comfortable king size bed; which was much needed after our Paris trip. Everything is top of the line including the blowdryer. In the morning we had the most delicious fresh breakfast, everything home made, from fresh bread, crepes, boiled eggs, fresh fruits and freshly squezed orange juice. It was outstanding!!! We truly had the best time and our only regret was not to stay longer. By far our best stay in our 16 day vacation through France. • Christelle (10/5): Wonderful place - Excellent choice for visiting the Loire castles. Rooms are large, clean, well designed and comfortable, hosts are super nice and helpful, breakfast is delicious with many choices of quality items, and location is great: super quiet and convenient to many castles and historic sites within a 30 min car ride. Everyone in the family loved it! We had a family suite, i.e. two connected bedrooms with two baths and a lounging area. No AC, but still bearable with a fan at night despite the heat wave.

• Norbert (10/5): Een juweeltje! - Het zeer charmante hotel combineert de ruimte (heuse suite!) en de schoonheid van een 19e eeuws kasteeltje met perfect modern comfort. De gastheren zijn vriendelijk en attent. Hun ontbijt is gewoon teveel om op te krijgen. De rust van het omliggende parkje is totaal. Nooit beter tegengekomen!

• John (10/5): Quiet spot converted winery - Very pleasant setting an old winery, quiet village of Mesland centrally located for the Chateau area of the Loire valley. The owners are on site and made our stay very comfortable, the 2 room suite was spacious and met all needs.
• Frank (10/5): The quiet elegance of a romantic hideaway. - We were looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay with easy access to many of the chateaus of the Loire river valley.... This place was it!! Our room was FULL of romantic character, wooden beams, big soft bed, great private bath, wonderful closet.. A couple of chair/ottoman combinations for the TV I don't even remember turning on. It was up 2 flights of stairs and that seemed like nothing after a long day when I knew a soft, fluffy bathrobe awaited as did a big comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing, homemade bread, fresh squeezed OJ, French pressed coffee, choice of several homemade jams for crepes, baguettes, yoghurt, fruit, granola.. And I could go on!! Olivier and Sophie are amazing hosts, and have clearly worked hard to make this place special. The grounds are lovely, there is a pool for during the high season. The place is in the middle of about 25 different chateaus -- we saw about 7 in the course of 3 days... And, once again Olivier and Sophie were great about helping pare down I order to see th best sights for the time we had available.
• Ann (10/5): French Manor House with home from home appeal - Typical French Manor House with a home from home feel thanks to the attention to detail from the owner. We had a beautifully decorated suite - very French. The breakfast is excellent and we appreciated all the touches. A good central location to visit Tours, Amboise and Blois.
• Pierre (10/5): My favorite place in the region. - One of the best place I've stayed in the region, and I travel a lot! Amazing service, the breakfast was out of this world, with crepes, all kinds of bakeries, local cheeses, freshly pressed orange juice and coffee. Just an amazing experience. The house is gorgeous and very "old french style", super well kept, with fire-places everywhere. The bedroom are really clean and beautiful. We liked that even though it is an old French house, the bathroom are updated and great. The garden is gorgeous as well. Very nice owners who gave us all the right information and even booked dinner for us! That was one of the highlight of our trip. It makes me feel good to see people really doing a great job like these guys. They also have a super cute dog but they will be very careful to not bothering customers with her. Just the best!

• Nancy (10/5): Beautifully decorated historic manor on the Loire! - I cannot say enough good things about Le Clos Sainte-Marie! It's a beautiful historic manor house, in a small French village in the Loire Valley. We only stayed for one night but we truly wish it could have been longer. The owners are so delightful and nice; the room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished; the modern bathroom with HUGE bath and HUGE walk-in shower was a delight; the breakfast was superb; and the swimming pool was just perfect. It was truly a fantastic experience. You are very close to a number a chateaux on the Loire, and the nearby town of Blois is also very beautiful and worth seeing. Overall, 5 stars!
