Guest Reviews
- Patricia (6/5): Funky and fun! - Zoe our host was very friendly and accommodating. The place is funky and eclectic. The balcony/porch was lovely for an evening cocktail. It's an easy drive to Digby for dinner. The tidal river is interesting and there is a cafe right across the street for breakfast. If you are looking for a budget place, and are flexible, this place should fir the bit!
- steve (8/5): A Different Kind of Accomodation - we arrived late (11:30 p.m.) from the Portland-Yamouth ferry and a 90-minute drive up from Yarmouth. Zoe greeted us in the driveway and was very helpful getting us settled. The furnishings and art in the guest quarters were fascinating and the room comfortable. Nice cafe for breakfast next door. This place is the opposite of a Holiday Inn stay, definitely homey and unusual.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely grounds, cozy, eclectic decor, quiet. - I really loved this place. It just has a sweet feeling about it. The little town of Bear River doesn't have much in the way of night life, but I loved sitting on the outside deck and enjoying the quiet and the lovely scenery. Occasionally one or two of the owner's adorable cats will come and visit with you. Boris, the six toed cat is my favorite. The owner is also an artist, and everything about this B&B is artsy. She has a lovely shop on the first floor where she sells her wares. The beds were very comfy and very clean. The bathroom is efficient and clean. The living area is cozy and artsy, so much to look at! It was hard to leave.
- Robert (4/5): Not my cup of tea. - Artsy / Eccentric location, single suite. No cell reception for any carrier. Make sure you look at photos before booking.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Interesting and unusual - It was an interesting and unique small town Canada experience. Outdoors were lovely with flowering gardens and right o the tidal river.
However, persons with asthma or dust allergies should avoid this inn. The inside was extremely musty, dusty and dirty. The towels had an undesirable odour like being in storage for a long time. The toilet moved when you sat down on it. The sink in the bathroom also moved. The refridgerator was noisy and located in the bedroom. And you had to climb up 2 flights of stairs - not ideal if you have heavy suitcases and are elderly, frail or weak.
