Guest Reviews
- Jane (10/5): Amazing atmosphere, ideal location, 5-10mins walk to places to and wonderful hosts, would recommend. - The design and layout were amazing. The bedroom on the lower ground was quiet, parking off street, beautifully fitted bathroom, well appointed kitchen, lovely touches with hand written notes. Walk in shower and roll top bath, what is not to love. Milk in the fridge another nice touch. Main TV acted up a bit but it was fine in the morning (it had stopped raining)!

The history of the cottage was very interesting from butcher to its new status. Very comfortable with everything one needs. The flowers, chocolates and milk are a lovely touch. Parking is a true bonus in this village. Plenty of lovely walks with tearooms to try. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

- Tyler (10/5): A stunning, perfect place to stay, would recommend to anyone! - Literally nothing to dislike! The properly is amazing, me & my partner completely fell in love! Parking just next to the property, the layout & decor of the apartment is stunning, the bed is comfy, the bathroom is absolutely unreal, we didnāt want to leave! By far one of the nicer & more stunning places weāve stopped. The host is exceptionally friendly & helpful, I honestly couldnāt rave about this properly enough, weād love to stop again & if we get the chance we definitely will! Would recommend to anyone! My partner being a big tea drinker was gutted to find no tea bags, but there is a shop just 30 seconds round the corner so we were able to get some no problem. Only other thing being exceptionally picky, as a couple that like to get in bed on an night & watch TV we wished the TV was a smart TV in the bedroom, but to be fair, we ended up lucking out & watching some good programs on Freeview! Really, really difficult to find a single negative to say, the apartment is perfect!

Bathroom especially was stunning and great to have a second toilet on ground floor. And fresh milk in fridge. Also very easy parking. There was nothing to dislike
- Nathan (10/5): highly recommend - beautiful place throughout very cozy and good value for money couldnt work out how to turn the heating off but wasnt a great issue.
- Derek (10/5): A short stay in an excellent facility. - We liked the location and the set up of the house. The upstairs is both functional and comfortable.
The downstairs is given over to the bedroom and bathroom and is very well appointed.
The bed is very comfortable.
The house is close to local shops and is well situated for walking etc. It was all good. Just note that the TV runs from the internet.
- Sheila (9/5): Just loved it ā¤ļø - Chosen for its location as we have family who live nearby. The off street parking was definitely a bonus. We liked the finishing touch around the place, especially in the en suite. Very well looked after and maintained. If we had to say, the lounge TV reception on some channels wasn't great.
- Brian (9/5): Comfortable stay in trendy accommodation - We liked everything about the accommodation and was able to check in earlier at short notice which we appreciated. We liked everything, could off asked for better weather on the Sunday
- Maurice (9/5): a quiet location with easy access to the village - well equipped kitchen, ggod shower, easy parking
- Ron (10/5): Ideal location and super cottage. - The bathroom was exceptional with separate bath and shower, automatic lights and immediate warm water. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed comfortable. The walk up to the viaduct and old bridge was fascinating and I also appreciated having a choice of cafes, an excellent baker and mini-supermarket within five minutes walking. One would have to be extremely fussy to pick faults.
- Tony (10/5): The best property I've found on Booking.com by far. a real gem - The whole place is amazing. It's literally the best place I've stayed in from this booking service. So well appointed, easy parking and access, clean, tidy and luxurious.

Personal touches throughout with everything needed to make this the perfect place to stay. I can't recommend Heaps House enough.....and the comfiest bed ever, with the amazing bathroom! This was a short two night break for complete 'time out', rest and relaxation....and Heaps House delivered in full! - Callum (10/5): Fabulous and excellently presented - The house was stunning and our first words when we entered were wow Couldnāt fault it atol
- Keith (9/5): Superb - Lovely little cottage. Shame we were only there for one night. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are georgous. It was myself and my daughter that stayed, so she had the bedroom and I had the sofa bed in the lounge. Will stay again when I'm next down that way. If booking this cottage and you want to use the sofa bed, tell them in advance so they can leave a spare duvet. I had forgotten to mention it when I booked but luckily, I had a sleeping bag with me.

- Judith (10/5): A great place to stay. - Lovely property with modern facilities. We only had a short stay, so didn't do much self-catering, but the house appeared to be well equipped. The bed was very comfy. We needed more time as there were several interesting places we would have liked to visit. It was ideally situated for the Sculpture Park, which we did visit. A great place. Nothing.
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (7/5): A pleasant family stay - Clean, spacious, great bathroom and good heating.
- Gareth (9/5): Superb - Location style layout cosiness cleanliness where all perfect highly recommended:) The only One issue we found was the bath waste doesn't hold the water in the bath, it drains as your in the bath so can't have a nice long soak if you want too.
- Dj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Lovely property,, spotlessly clean, very quiet, very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay, would definitely recommend, we will definitely return Only down side, no view as on residential road, but was soo quiet you wouldn't realise
- Olivia (10/5): Beautiful cottage with fantastic hosts, a pleasure to stay in! - Beautifully presented, immaculately clean, very cute touches with the chocolate on the pillow. Incredibly kind, generous and attentive hosts, even helping us out on his birthday! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. loved everything
- Lucy (8/5): Nice property good for a short stay. - Quirky house, nicely presented. No milk on arrival. First thing most people want is a drink and we had to immediately go out again to find milk.
No two pin point. These are used for shavers and electric toothbrushes. These are hardly a luxury but a general requirement.
Fan didn't appear to be working in the bathroom?
- Rich (10/5): Lovely location and a perfect small home. Very comfy throughout, clean and with an amazing bathroom. -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (9/5): Superb -
- Dan (10/5): Beautiful getaway in a lovely location. - Perfect self-contained retreat in a glorious location. We stayed one night as I was travelling through. But I would love to take 3-5 days to explore the areas beauty. There's nothing to note. If I was being picky, I would say the Internet was a little lacking. I had a bit of work to do and found it hit and miss, so I just used my phone. But if I visited again it wouldn't be a problem as I would be aware and I would be more interested in the location and its offerings.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb -
- E (9/5): Excellent! Beautiful cottage! - Gorgeous cottage, very clean, cosy, comfy and quiet. The bathroom was amazing. The cottage was lovely and warm and was much bigger than we thought it would be. We would definitely stay here again. Would have preferred a later check out time.
Having some milk in would have been nice.

- Vasile (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annabel (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable and just what we needed for a weekend away.
- Myra (10/5): Amazing! We want to go back! - Breakfast was self catering. Location was ideal for our needs. We were amazed to find so many little gems in Denby Dale. Even the local pub had a live music night on, while we were there. We didn't find it straight away, but I've put that down to my Satnav
