• Deidra (4/5): Hotel shows no compassion. - I did not try the breakfast. I came from Tennessee for a funeral. But traveling through Asheville, NC is very stressful and difficult right now. We made it to the hotel at 5am on Oct. 10th. We were there until 9:50. And I was still charged the full price as if I had checked in at 3pm on Oct. 9th. Just seems so inconsiderate.

• Michael (6/5): - One of the deciding factors for choosing this hotel was the fact that it had a hot tub. The hotel description, says there is a hot tub and even the Bon Voy apps how a picture of a hot tub. But, to our disappointment, the hot tub had been removed. Also, we found a pair of sandals in front of the couch under the coffee table which made us wonder if the room had been vacuumed or not.

The Fairfield Inn Marriott advertised it had a indoor pool and spa. When we arrived I asked the clerk about the spa availability. I was told there is no spa because it was filled with concrete due to chemical contamination. This specific amenity was the sole reason I selected this particular hotel. To say I was disappointed (no spa) is a gross understatement. I wish the website accurately depicted the hotel amenities.
• Trisha (10/5): - I had a great stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Greenwood! The hotel was clean, well-kept, and had a welcoming vibe from the moment I walked in. The staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. I also really appreciated how safe and quiet the environment was. The room was immaculate — spotless, comfortable, and everything felt fresh and updated. Breakfast was definitely a plus: plenty of options and kept fully stocked. Overall, a great experience. I’d definitely stay here again!

• Verified traveler (6/5): All name but not standard - The beds are great and room was cozy. The service on the other hand was less than par. We kinda just figured out where everything was. The pool description was misrepresenting as it is not heated but the pool room is set to 85. Extremely small and no hot tub. The room was nice but the shower and bathroom were dirty. Stains on the comforter and the fridge didn't not cool properly. Over all for the price not a good deal.

Room is equipped with microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot. I would recommend Although the hotel was clean, it had a distinct smell of a sewer leak in the lobby and hallways. It may not have been sewer but the smell was there.

• Patricia (8/5): - I chose this hotel as I wanted an indoor pool for safety reasons. However as I always do, i check out the property before using any of the amenities. I did not like the fact that the pool was located near the lobby and the elevator leading up to the other floors of the hotel. There was a strong smell that I was not able to pinpoint where it was coming from on the first night I was there. The water to the pool was so cold that I was unable to enjoy myself. I was also unaware that I had to pay for what I thought was a complimentary breakfast for this hotel. Everything else was okay. Not what I expected for sure.

Staff explained during remodel the hot tub was taken away, but when I booked to stay there a hot tub was mentioned within the amenities, and I was looking forward to the hot tub as I traveled 4 hours to the hotel. also the food was okay, but I have been to other Fairfield’s and the breakfast was amazing, so they can work on that and serve more hot food and maybe use a better batter for the waffles. Also maybe provide better sound proofing for the rooms on the first floor as the guest beside us had gotten pretty noisy around midnight if you catch my drift. Overall staff was great the hotel was clean. Loved the area. their staff was helpful and there was other establishments within walking distance.

This place has the best breakfast I’ve ever had included in a hotel stay. Highly recommend! We stayed multiple nights and encountered zero issues.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Clean Family stay - My family stayed for a couple of days. The staff was very nice and gave us local tips to survive our trip. The room and bathroom were clean. The pool was a bit smaller than expected and the ceiling was peeling off, but it didn’t stop the kids from having a great time! The continental breakfast had a lot of options. The waffle maker was the best though-a large, huge, hot waffle was the perfect start to our day! Will stay here again and I recommend it.

• Kathy (6/5): Work on lower prices, the mattress and pillars need to convert back to the old styles. - I was at the Fairfield Inn with family to attend my uncle's funeral. We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past. I love the hotel closeness to Abbevill S.C . I love the free breakfast, free parking, great customer service and the cleanliness of the hotel. The first disappointment was the high 220.00 per night room charge , considering your jacuzzi was not working at all. The coffee was Luke warm each day When requesting at front desk for room service , I was told the rooms are only cleaned every other day. He did not want to add my room to the list for that day The lady that cleans the rooms, said I will clean your room, if you need it. I really appreciated that. My biggest disappointment for me and my family was the sleep comfort. The beds were too low and hard. Even the pillars were uncomfortable.

• Charlotte (6/5): - The room was awesome! Clean, comfortable beds, huge bathroom. The breakfast was good w/ decent selection. Good location w/ shops & restaurants right there. The property needs a LOT of TLC. For the price we paid to stay there I feel they really missed the mark on the property upkeep. There are no working ice machines on any floor. The pool room wasn’t maintained. There was rust all over everything even the door handle. The hot tub wasn’t operational b/c the turn knob to turn the jets on was missing. There was dirty tape holding the hot tub railing to the ground. You should also warn guests that your trash pickup is at 6:30am right outside the windows of the 1st floor and immediately following that at 7am the landscapers start mowing & blowing the property. Too bad for anyone who wanted to sleep in. I feel like this could be a great hotel if they just invest a little into maintenance.

We arrived about 15 mins before checkin, was told room will be ready at 3pm (check in time) waited in lobby until 3pm was then told they need about 20-30 more mins because they were getting rooms ready for a reservation of 30. My reservation was put to the side while the main focus was checking in a larger group. The young lady that checked us in was not pleasant and seemed annoyed with me asking how much longer before our room was ready. Was in town one night for a funeral, outside of the checkin situation everything else went smooth

I was having trouble with my bank and debit card being declined because I was out of state and it was flagged as fraud. They were so patient and super helpful allowing me to split my payment on credit cards instead. I wish I could remember their names.
