Full size fridge, cooktop, and large closet with organizers would be very nice for an extended stay. Breakfast was above average for this type of property. Appreciated that the tv's in the breakfast room were muted with closed captioning if you wanted to watch, but easy to ignore if you prefer your breakfast without cable news. Had prepaid for 4 nights but had to leave 2 days early to avoid a massive snowstorm. Unused balance refunded at check-out with no issues. Room was a bit smaller than I would expect for a suites property. Fine for one person, a little cozy for two but not inconvenient.

- Destinie Bartlett (10/5): Felt Like Home, Would Come Back - I reserved the one bedroom queen. The room was so spacious and comfortable. I honestly felt at home. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The receptionist at the front desk was especially kind and helpful with my children and their many questions. My mother and I were able to bring our service dogs and weren't given any problems. Breakfast was really good too. I highly recommend staying here and definitely plan on coming back if I ever need a hotel again. The shower being an open door type was a bit foreign to me but that's really the only thing that bothered me. I'm used to being able to close the shower off completely. Also, the pool is described as heated but the water was cold when I got in but the room being extremely warm helps make up for that.

- Cynthia (8/5): Disappointed - Loved the location of this property. Confident to ever we were going and surrounded by restaurants and stores. Rooms were nice with nice amenities. Full refrigerator, dishwasher and stove if you were staying for an extended time. We left early in the morning for a family function. When we left cleaning staff saw that we were leaving. When we returned around 5:00 pm to get ready for a party, we noticed the room hasn’t been cleaned. I called down to the desk several times and there was no answer. I finally went down and the clerk was there and asked if her phone had rung. She looked puzzled but didn’t really give me an answer. I told her our room hadn’t been cleaned. She apologized and said there was no staff there to clean the room. She asked if I had left do not disturb sign on our room and I told her no. She offered me clean towels. Not happy to pay for a room and expecting it to get cleaned and it wasn’t. Also that they have no staff to cover cleaning later in the day or early evening. She mentioned that sometimes they don’t clean rooms every day. That should be stated when you are deciding where to stay because I wouldn’t have stayed in a place that didn’t clean my room daily. Big disappointment.

- Gregory (10/5): - Property was fine, though the general area is a depressed rust-belt landscape. On the plus side, Oakmont is just 7-8 minutes away. My biggest gripe is the cost of the hotel -- almost $300. I could have stayed in downtown Pittsburgh for $100 less. Why didn't I? Visiting family in nearby New Kensington, 10 minutes away. That town has only one hotel -- and it's been raided many a time because of drugs and prostitution.

My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. If you are ever in the area, I suggest that you considering staying at this location.

Fast food drive-thru places galore, 17 mi from Pittsburgh, although a Pittsburgh address, and no shuttle service to take you to Pittsburgh proper, no restaurants anywhere. As much as the staff are great as is the facility it is TOO far away from the city of Pittsburgh. My mistake.

Friendly staff! Comfy beds! Breakfast was okay but nothing special and the plant based sausage wasn’t good. The only downside is the road noise and train close by! If I had ear plugs the stay would’ve been 5 stars cause we wouldn’t have heard the road noise at night! Starbucks and Dunkin close by for some good morning coffee! Close to the Turnpike and only 5mins away from the yummy Oakmont Bakery which is a must when in the area!!

Far enough out of the city to save some money, but close enough to get to experience all the wonderful things Pittsburgh has to offer! Reviews of all the rest in the vicinity were pretty marginal, so that was a big factor in choosing the TownePlace Suites as they had much better reviews. My only complaint was the price for the room. It turned out to be over a hundred dollars more than any of the rest nearby. I felt it was a bit on the high side for a basic room. We were only there for one night, so didn’t utilize the mini-kitchen and maybe some folks would find that to be worth the extra cost. Anyway, we knew going in how much it would be, just can’t quite equate the cost for the area, but would probably stay there again.

- 573dk9999 (6/5): Clean and well-kept but with design flaws - I've stayed in many TownePlace Suites over the years and generally find them to be good places to stay. This is a newer property, which carries a lot of built-in design flaws. First, there is little insulation in the walls and you can hear noise from many sources, from carousing by the fire pit out front to babies crying in adjacent rooms, and traffic noise from the nearby freeway. Next, the bathroom shower has no door which results in the loss of capability to take a nice hot shower. Thankfully, there was no lack of hot water. Finally, the HVAC refused to go into heat mode so it was not possible to raise the temperature of the room. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was forgettable. Will probably stay here again due to proximity to relatives.
- Splanky (8/5): A Good Stay - Towneplace Suites are generally comfortable but are laid out in an inconvenient way. No place to open suitcases, especially so if there are two staying in the room. The tv hangs on the wall that’s the path to the bathroom and hung too low. Still, we had a comfortable stay overall. Bed is comfortable, suite was very clean. Staff were friendly. We stayed near the road and that was pretty noisy. Pet friendly for a steep $75 fee.

- Ashley (8/5): - This is always our overnight stop for our road trip from Indiana to Maryland. The suite option for us always gives us some breathing room after bedtime for the kiddos. Location is great, you can walk to Starbucks, Jersey Mikes and Sheetz. Also very close to the turnpike! Staff has always been very accommodating as well.
- Drew (10/5): Family member needed extra accessibility accommodations and this stay was exactly what we needed. Thank you. - Close, convenient and top quality stay. Staff was very accommodating when we requested a handicapped accessible room midway through the stay. Nothing to not like.
