Guest Reviews
- Kera (5/5): Overall, I had a good stay - The location The bathroom wasn’t very clean
- Kera (5/5): -
- R (5/5): - Close to main highway, large area to park pickup and trailer. Room was filthy. Had belongings to some one stored or left behind. Hallways were dirty! Birds had been inside and messed on the floor. Nothing was clean!
- BRANDY (10/5): Next time I travel to Alva I will be staying here again. Perfect location and very friendly -
- Jake (1/5): -
- Melinda (1/5): Didn’t stay because after the second room I asked for a refund. - The location was good. The room was dirty, the stairs had dead beds on the floor, and we tried to get two room before we finally just went to a different motel.
- Jourdyn (5/5): The stay was fine, staff was nice but the rooms could be cleaner and breakfast could have a few more options. - The location The break was very minimal. The rooms were not super clean.
- Travis (4/5): - front desk lady was nice, the room stunk the ac war really loud and kicked on and off allll night long
- Erick (10/5): - Thanks need a good bed to sleep in for a night!
- Luke (2/5): - Hotel is falling apart. Shower nor toilet worked. The whole facility is in rough shape.
- Jerry (2/5): Would not stay again - Our shower didn’t work and there were no towels. No one was at the front desk to help with the issue and no one answered the phone when we called. Then our key card got disabled and we couldn’t get into our room and again no one was there to help. No free breakfast like advertised.
- Hector (9/5): -
- John (2/5): - When I got to the hotel at 10:40 pm to check in, the lady was gone to Walmart and I had to wait in the parking lot for 20 minutes to get a room key. Continental breakfast was supposed to be from 6-9, I left at 7 and it still wasn’t available and no receptionist in sight. Won’t be back. Had a man standing outside for the last hour too, his key wouldn’t work for his room and couldn’t get anyone to answer the door to get him another key. Horrible customer service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The check in process was easy and the girl at the front desk was nice. We got to our room and the bathroom had not been cleaned and there was a dirty towel hanging behind the door. We had to go to the front desk for clean towels. Our bed had a fitted sheet and a light comforter, no flat sheet. Overall it was a good experience. The A/C was cold. We have stayed in the competitors hotel next door and it is comparable and twice the price.
- Joni (1/5): Should have stayed at the Holiday - Dirty carpet. Air conditioner didn’t work properly. Asked for fan. Brought up an old fan for us. Advertised a regular Wyndham breakfast but was cereal only. Hallway carpets were filthy. Was nowhere close in worth of the $85 we paid for the room. Staying somewhere else
- Charles (6/5): - Breakfast was bad only 2?kinds of cereal
Coffeemaker in room didn’t work
- Terry (2/5): SOOO disappointing!!! - The room was filthy—dirty washcloth lying on the air conditioner, debris on the carpet, upholstery tears in the couch, towel rack falling off the wall, etc. Paint $90 for a filthy room. The online photos were very misleading. The side entrance door was broken and would not close and we had to move litter and trash to get in. The lawn had (which was literally about a foot tall) had just been moved with the grass left lying all ver the sidewalks and parking.
- John (4/5): - The property is nasty. The grass hasn’t been cut all year, the building needs some maintenance, there was an old rusty semi truck trailer parked in the back. Maybe used for storage. It was what I looked at out my window. There was piles of trash bags in the breezeway. Must of not had a dumpster. A bbq grill for a public ashtray, full of used butts. The carpets were stained and looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in months. Didn’t want to walk barefooted on them. The original room we were given, didn’t have sheets on the beds, so they moved us to another. If my wife was with me, we would not of stayed there. Would not recommend to anyone.
- richard (4/5): - the ice machine was out of order the breakfast was only coffee and bonuts with 2 kinds of cold cereal the valve in the shower was broken the side doors had no locks so the building was not secure
- Julie (4/5): - Check in initially was quick, then I went to the assigned room, used the key card to open the room to find an old man getting up from the toilet. He slammed the door shut and used the internal locks as I stated I was given this room. I returned to the office, informed them a person was in the room. I was assigned a different room. As I hesitantly entered this room, the bathroom floor was dirty, needing mopped, the microwave appeared broken and was turned sideways,, there was no tv in the room exhausted, I laid on the bed and went to sleep. The bed was uncomfortable and only had 3 pretty flat pillows. The ice machine was out of order and there were pieces of furniture in various states of repair in the hall by the ice machine. The whole place seemed
Like
It could use a good deep cleaning. I have tried several hotels/motels in this town when I come for visits. In my opinion, the cleanest, most modern and friendly place to stay would be the Holiday Inn express-the rest are subpar in comparison. Days inn had a very limited continental breakfast that I passed on as nothing was appealing or healthy.
- Simmons (1/5): Bad -
- Christy (4/5): - Trash by every door andhrassover ankle deep
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Check in was very slow. The beds are quite firm but overall the room was good. The super hot water and fridge that actually got cold were nice for sure! Breakfast was lacking for sure. I enjoyed visiting with the desk Hostess...very sweet
- Joel (6/5): - Needs room updates shower was week
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Everything was fine with the hotel I reserved three rooms through Booking. We needed one more room and the hotel was able to accommodate us. My concern is that the rooms I reserved through Booking were double the cost of the room I reserved directly through the hotel. The hotel cost for one room two nights was $180.00. The room was $79.00 per night. Booking charged me $965.30 for three rooms for two nights which was $160.88 per room. It was always my understanding that Booking would give us a better rate...but it most certainly was not true in this case. Please explain the difference, because at this point I will not use booking again. Carolyn Bunch
- Kevin (10/5): - Great hotel for cost.
- Stephanie (4/5): - Shower certain had 2 spots of blood on it..breakfast was next to nothing..ice machine was broke..staff was nice..lughts on the building were out..
- John (2/5): - I got charged twice!! I want a refund on one of them
- John (10/5): - This was a quail hunting trip to western Oklahoma. We had a snowstorm and temperatures of -8 below zero. Obviously we had to bring the bird dogs into our rooms. The staff was understanding and accommodating. Very much appreciated.
- Loretta (10/5): - Very, kind and knowledgeable.
- Bruce (10/5): - great
- John (5/5): Was good after the room ordeal was fixed. The staff was very helpful , - everything was good after we got in a good room. When we went to our room it had not been cleaned for the day. We stood around in the hall with our luggage while another room was found. Just thought for the price this should not have happened.
- Armijo (5/5): Passable - Location Bathroom fan sounded like it was a Mac truck and was going to fall from the ceiling at any moment. Obnoxiously load. Beds were rocks, no give at all.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sherry (6/5): Pleasant - The property was okay…especially for the price we got. The pillows were really stained and looked gross, a couple of the pillowcases had light stains. I think this was an older hotel that is in need of some facelifts. But, for the price, overall it was decent. The bed was more comfortable than I anticipated. We brought our own pillows, they definitely need new pillows and some kind of protection to keep them from being so stained. The room was very quiet. Again very reasonable priced.
- Hodges (5/5): Passable - Bed was comfortable. Was okay for the price. Door was hard to open. Ice machine was not working. Breakfast, what Breakfast. Needed to be mowed around side walk.
- Carlson (6/5): The staff was friendly, but the building was in need of heavy deodorizing and cleaning. - The desk ladies were very polite and kind, and made check in and check out very smooth! When we saw all of the “no smoking” signs, we had safely assumed the property would not smell. However when we stepped into the building where the rooms are, all we could smell was cigarettes. We naively assumed the room couldn’t possibly smell as stagnant, but when we walked in our room, it was somehow worse. It smelt like a bunch of people sat in our room before we got there and chain smoked. We sprayed perfume and kicked the ac on and tried to air it out, as a couple of us had asthma, but did not want to sound rude to the desk lady. When my fiancée and I went to get our bed ready, we noticed what looked like dirt all over our blanket, and when our best friend set up his bed, his blankets smelt like they hadn’t been washed in a while. Then we went to get ready for bed and our rooms bathroom smelt as though someone stood in there and just peed on everything. I ended up trying to shower, and even the water smelt funny. We were all just not happy with our stay, and were all glad that we only booked it for a night.
- Leonard (4/5): - Run down. Tiles falling off shower walls. Numerous abandoned rooms. Will not stay again.
Clerk at desk was friendly and professional.
- Jonie (4/5): - Poor everything
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- rgraham848 (2/5): Stayed one night and left - We check out and paid double for a much nicer stay. The staff was very friendly though it looked like remodeling and updating was maybe being done
- Carey (3/5): Cheap but not worth it. - Cost was much cheaper than 2 other hotels next door. Good location. Friendly check in process. Quiet as place was mostly empty. AC worked well, but wasn't turned on when we arrived and took several hours to catch up. Obviously under remodel and signs saying new management. Rooms surrounding us had no doors and were under construction. Not clean, stains on comforter and bed skirts. Deadbolt on door did not work and was covered with black electrical tape. A lot of damage to bathroom door as well. Breakfast was prepackage rolls and yogurt. Nothing warm except small pot of coffee. No working ice machine on premises.
- Melissa (1/5): I wouldn't stay at this hotel again if you paid me to. - Room 102 was absolutely disgusting. There was mildew and water damage in the ceiling. The walk in shower looked like it had never ever been cleaned- looked like there was food in the drain, too. Really nasty. The room was really dirty, there was a dog next door that barked all day and night and no one did anything about it. The room was musty and humid and the bathroom was next level gross.
- Adrian (10/5): - The staff is very friendly and respectful
- Aaron (2/5): - No hot water. Black mold in shower. Will never stay here ever again.
- Shane (6/5): - Seemed rundown. Had to listen to the toilet run all night. Bed was not very comfortable.
- John (10/5): - Nice
- tim (8/5): - They were under construction there's a lot of rooms being redone
- nae nae (8/5): - .
- Ronnie (4/5): - This property is in poor condition. The person checking me in was accomadating. Security was none existant to the buiding anyone could enter the building, The room I was put in had no working deadbolt locks. Overall without the discout I received these rooms are over priced.
- Phyllis (8/5): - We had to go outside and back in to get coffee and there was no coffee until 630
- Burnett (5/5): Passable - Location The "exceptional" breakfast touted in the online booking was prepackaged powered donuts and bad coffee.
- Darrell (7/5): Good -
- Lyn (7/5): Good -
- Robert (10/5): Great place - Excellent place good price very clean
- Zachary (6/5): - Overall cheap place to stay. However the rooms had alot wrong with them such as a shower that did not work properly.
- Sandi (10/5): - The rooms are really clean. For the first time in months I actually mopped a floor that wasn't dirty. The air conditioning vents were even clean.
- Matthew (8/5): Great location and just as expected - Great location near to Walmart and a great Mexican food place. Important because I was on a bicycle ride. Everything as expected for the great price.
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Curtis (2/5): nasty - nasty and dirty dirty with stains on towels and broken door that needs replaced
- Curtis (2/5): dirty and nasty - not much dirty, shower drain didn’t have a stopper, the shower inlet wasn’t fit to wall. towels were dirty with stains on them.
- Morgan (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable The breakfast
- Asa (6/5): Pleasant - Location Noisy toilet and air-conditioning
- Igor (8/5): - all
- RICHARD (8/5): - The greeting was good; the property is good considering the size and location. Centrally located for good access to necessary facilities. Will use again if needed.
- Jessika (4/5): Not great at ALL - We waited 10 mins for the front desk worker to get to the desk, there was mold in one of the automan boxes they had in the room, the entire building appeared to be rundown with several room numbers slanted, three doors appeared to have door damage from someone kicking it in, and our room had pieces of tile falling apart. Every corner had build up of dirt, the AC was dirty not dusty, there were stains on the towels, bed sheets, walls, curtains, etc.
- Jamie (7/5): friendly staff. xtra towels as staff off after thanksgiving. stayed here 4 years ago anc needs some maintenance - dog friendly. refrigerator back door to outside is broken. also 1 room with jokes in the door
- Michael (4/5): - No hot water no toiltiers in bathroom doors kicked in holes in doors
- Curtis (3/5): terrible - The shower curtain had stains all over it, the towel shelf was ripped off the wall. There was a towel with blood on it hanging on the bathroom door from previous stay! dirty and nasty
- Verified traveler (8/5): Unclean Room - The room, especially the bathroom was dirty, toilet, sink, and floor unclean. The trash can had trash from previous guest. No toilet paper or soap in the bathroom. No soap throughout stay. Trash (i.e. cupcake rappers...) in main room. Dirty sheet on one of the beds.
- Gillian (8/5): Helpful friendly staff at reception - exit door near the room didn’t lock
- Miguel (1/5): Bad -
- Rita (9/5): Superb -
- TRACI (8/5): - Good price for a clean room. Property was quiet. Lawn area needed some attention.
- Jennifer (8/5): - It was very clean. The front desk was very friendly.
- Rebecca (4/5): - Needs updated. Outside of property could use some work.
- icecreed (10/5): great price, large rooms. - I've stayed at other hotels in Alva and this is a great hotel. Rooms are large and clean. Feel safe here. staff very helpful. Bed was comfortable, bathroom is large and well appointed. no issues at all with staying here.
- Enrique (10/5): - It most definitely met our need, staff was polite, curtious, and very serviceable. I would definitely recommend it, and will come back
- Kathleen (8/5): Just what we needed. - They do have a breakfast of bagels and pop tarts and cereal.
I did giggle at the sign because the Days doesn’t light up anymore, but it is clean, safe and the staff is nice so it is all we needed.
- Eduardo (10/5): - Excellent hotel!
- smokemike57 (4/5): outdated..... - older hotel run down no elevator breakfast is a joke .wouldn't let my wife or kids stay here only reason i stay here is because of work makes me because of price. The sign has been out 4 months truck parking is a mess if its rains..
- Blaise (6/5): - There wasn't really any breakfast options. There was also junk and a rundown semi trailer parked outside of our window behind the hotel next to the building.
- Robert (10/5): - Great hotel & location
- Kerrie (10/5): - Very quiet, clean and easy to get to. The staff is always prepared for my arrival and are personable.
- Amanda (8/5): - My only issue was...I had a baby in a carseat and stroller and we were put in a room upstairs and there was no elevator.
- Justsayno123 (2/5): Would not recommend - Had to get a family member an emergency room for a night or so. As we realized another night would be needed right after check out we called and charged another night. Right around then housekeeping entered the room of my family member who has a degenerative brain disorder and they told them to leave because they don't let tweakers stay at their hotel. Not only highly unprofessional and rude, but caused distress to the family member who was already distressed. Who in fact isn't a drug addict but has Huntingtons Disease. Thanks for that I guess.
- Wanda (8/5): Clean and basic - It was very clean and was pet friendly. The staff were very helpful and friendly. More outside lights were needed, or needed to be turned on, but we felt safe and would stay there again. It had the basics and we didn't have to pay for a lot of things that we wouldn't use on a quick trip (swimming pool, workout room, etc.)
- Kathye (8/5): Over all good hotel - Everything was very good except we had a few spiders in the tub and a scorpion on the hall floor. The hotel is out in the open so this may be the reason for the critters
- Stuart (6/5): Okay place to stay, but not great. - Generally, the place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only complaints are that breakfast selection was poor compared to other motels of this price point. Also, parking lot lighting was not on, so security was a worry.
- Jonathan (8/5): - It was pretty good, I was kinda under the assumption that there was a pool and there was not
- Kerrie K (10/5): - All the staff is incredibly friendly
- David (10/5): Accommodating stay with ample oversized parking. - We called to let them know we would be arriving overnight in the early AM hours. They were very accommodating and had everything ready for us. We also came in with 3 40 ft gooseneck trailers and there was ample parking.
- Rick (10/5): - The room was very clean and the staff was great!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in a quiet town - Quiet and nice place for family with babies.
- Byron A. (10/5): Managers - The manager was very accommodating and friendly. Her assistant was also friendly and thoughtful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean and smelled of cleaning products
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Our room was not real clean…wasn’t sure if it had been cleaned before we arrived but the bed was clean and well made and there were clean towels. Property needs some maintenance.
- johnbK4520XY (8/5): Pretty great! - The people make the difference. We had some issues with the extra guests and reservations we had made and the manager worked with us to resolve each of them. I can recommend this place for your stay in Alva.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The receptionist was most cordial and helpful in suggesting restaurants nearby. The room was well prepared, clean and very comfortable. Only thing thats a problem with many remote hotels is quality of TV HD and wi-fi signals, this one did better than most.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean
