• Héctor (8/5): - En general muy bien, las habitaciones super bien. En el buffet, los camareros no quitan los platos. El café es malísimo pero tienen una cafetería a parte que ahí sí está rico. Los horarios de apertura del desayuno deberían ser más amplios sobre todo cuando saben que para hacer las excursiones a veces te recogen a las 5:30 y ni siquiera te ofrecen un picnic para llevar. El horario de apertura de la barra de la piscina también limitado, cierra a las 18:00.
• Belen (10/5): Un viaje para repetir - En general nos gustó mucho el alojamiento. Las instalaciones estaban muy bien, todo el complejo estaba muy limpio y cuidado. El personal muy atento. El buffet muy bueno y muy completo. Los restaurantes que probados dentro del hotel muy buenos, a destacar el restaurante italiano y el restaurante de carne. Fue mi cumpleaños y en el restaurante de carne que fue donde cenamos, salieron varios camareros y me cantaron cumpleaños feliz, todos muy amables. Nos gustó mucho una cafetería que había en el hotel que tenían galletas, muffins, vitrina con snacks… y un restaurante que estaba abierto de 11 a 6 de la mañana, que si te ibas de excursión a las 6, podíais ir a las 5 de la mañana y comer un sándwich, una hamburguesa… Por otro lado, señalar que fue muy cómodo tener un trenecito que va por la parte central del hotel y te lleva de un lado a otro. A destacar el poder ver una variedad de animales por allí dentro tan tranquilos como con Koatis, gatos, monos, ciervos, distintas aves… Algo que no nos gustó fue que hicimos reserva en el restaurante japonés, nos tocó en el turno de cena último y no es normal que te sientes, vengan a preguntarte bebidas y te digan, en 20 minutos cerramos servicio de bebidas ( eso nada más sentarte a cenar y cuando aún no has empezado ni a cenar. Y al final, como cerraban, sacaron el postre rápido y algunos no habíamos terminado con el último plato. Si se pone un servicio de cena donde se puede reservar a las 22:00h, tienes que servir bebidas durante toda la cena tranquilamente. No puedes decir que solo durante los primeros 20 minutos porque cierran luego.

Love the el beso and privilege sections as that’s where I spent most of my time. Staff special mention for my butler this week, Adrian Martinez… amazing service and assistance! Bits of construction here and there (next door to my room), but it don’t bother my stay much at all.

• Stephanie (8/5): - Great stay at El Beso! 😊 The resort is very well maintained and everything was spotless. Our swim-up junior suite was spacious and perfect for relaxing. A special shoutout to Fernando & Lisandro from Concierge Department – their hospitality and service were outstanding, always friendly and attentive! The food was good, though a bit Americanized due to many guests from the US and Canada. The resort also makes a big effort to keep the beach clean and free of seaweed. We booked the El Beso adults-only areas expecting a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. However, the adults-only pool had loud music throughout the day, and many guests spent time at the swim-up bar drinking in the pool and participating in entertainment activities, which made it feel quite noisy. As a result, we spent most of our time at the beach. Although there is no adults-only section there, it was noticeably quieter than the El Beso pool area.
• Polina (2/5): Disappointing Experience — Not a 5-Star Hotel - The grounds are large, well-maintained, and visually appealing. The rooms are also a decent size and comfortable enough for a stay. The towel service is very limited, operating only from 9am to 5pm, and by around 3pm fresh towels are often no longer available. The “adults-only” section is misleading—it consists of just one building and a pool, with no real separation from the rest of the resort. There are children everywhere, so it does not feel like an adults-only experience at all. Service at the restaurants is poor. At times, it is difficult to even get a waiter’s attention for something as basic as water. The reservation process for the Japanese restaurant is chaotic, with very long lines, and unfortunately the food does not justify the wait. Entertainment is very limited.

• Hugo (4/5): Bad experience, far from a 5-star resort. Room smelled moldy. - The shuttle service within the hotel works well and is relatively fast. The room was old and smelled strongly of mold. An unpleasant experience from the very first moment. After talking to other guests, they said the same thing about the moldy smell. The food was below average. At a buffet, there are always good and bad things, but the quality was low. Only the pizzas, which were made to order, were of good quality. Even the à la carte restaurants were not of good quality and the food was not good. Reservations for themed restaurants were something I had never seen in any hotel before and that is a very negative point. You have to be awake when reservations open on the app, otherwise you will never be able to visit any of these restaurants. Even the Japanese restaurant has to be reserved in person from 8:30 a.m. on the same day. Ridiculous!!! The drinks in general were also not of great quality and there was no care taken in making the cocktails, the important thing was to make them quickly. The outdoor show areas are not well organized and there is not enough space for everyone. It seems that the hotel has a larger capacity than its infrastructure allows.

There is so much to do - sport facilities, gym, pools, beach, bowling, theatre - sooo much, so you can't really get bored there. Loved it was full of green all around, with wild animals like monkeys roaming near the main street. The food was underwhelming - maybe I'm too European for this, people from Canada seem to enjoy it, but for me, the quality of the ingredients was below standard, and I was disappointed

• Miriam (7/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb von Playa del Carmen, wodurch man zwar ein Taxi benötigt, dafür jedoch eine weitläufige und großzügige Anlage genießen kann. Aufgrund der enormen Größe fühlt man sich fast wie in einer kleinen eigenen Stadt – es gibt zahlreiche Wege, Plätze und unterschiedliche Bereiche, in denen man sich aufhalten kann, darunter auch ein separater Adults-Only-Bereich (wenn auch eher klein gehalten). Besonders positiv möchten wir das Personal hervorheben. Die Mitarbeiter sind durchweg freundlich und bemüht. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an Elias von der Gästebetreuung, der sich hervorragend um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert hat und jederzeit hilfsbereit war. Auch Aleli vom Sakura Restaurant hat mit ihrer Freundlichkeit und ihrem Service maßgeblich zu einem angenehmen Abend beigetragen. Generell sind die meisten Kellner sehr bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Fitnessstudio ist hervorragend ausgestattet, 24h geöffnet und lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Zusätzlich gibt es innerhalb der Anlage sogar einen etwa 2 km langen Jogging-Trail, was für sportlich aktive Gäste ein großer Pluspunkt istt, dieses ist auch nur für 18+ Menschen gedacht, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Kulinarisch bietet das Hotel eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Restaurants. Für viele davon benötigt man zwar eine Reservierung, dennoch ist auch das große Buffetrestaurant sehr reichhaltig gestaltet, sodass wirklich jeder etwas Passendes findet. Für Familien mit Kindern ist dieses Hotel sicherlich eine ausgezeichnete Wahl. Es gibt unglaublich viele Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten für Kinder, zahlreiche Aktivitäten und Bereiche, die speziell auf Familien ausgelegt sind. Als reisende Erwachsene ohne Kinder haben wir das teilweise anders empfunden, doch für Familien ist die Anlage definitiv ein Paradies. Leider hat unser Aufenthalt unsere Erwartungen in vielen Punkten nicht erfüllt. Die Hotelanlage ist zwar beeindruckend groß, allerdings bringt diese enorme Größe auch einige deutliche Nachteile mit sich. Die Anlage liegt weit außerhalb von Playa del Carmen, sodass man nicht einfach zu Fuß in die Stadt gehen kann. Man ist somit komplett auf das Hotel oder auf kostenpflichtige Transfers angewiesen. Die Zimmer sind leider deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Besonders Sofa und Sessel haben ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich – sie sind fleckig, teilweise beschädigt und wirken insgesamt ungepflegt. Man hatte ehrlich gesagt nicht das Bedürfnis, sich darauf zu setzen, weshalb wir uns nur ungern und möglichst wenig im Zimmer aufgehalten haben. Die Größe der Anlage spiegelt sich auch in den Restaurants wider. Diese wirken durch ihre Lautstärke und Hektik eher wie Bahnhofshallen – man versteht kaum sein eigenes Wort. Zu den Stoßzeiten sind sie trotz der Vielzahl an Restaurants komplett überfüllt. Je später man am Abend kommt, desto länger wartet man und desto unangenehmer und unappetitlicher wirken Tische, Stühle sowie Teller und Besteck. Besonders negativ fiel uns auf, dass Kinder (und teils auch Erwachsene) Speisen mit den Händen anfassten, abbissen und wieder zurücklegten, ohne dass das Personal eingriff. Wir haben mehrfach sehr unappetitliche Szenen am Buffet beobachtet, bei denen Lebensmittel unsachgemäß angefasst und wieder zurückgelegt wurden. Viele Eltern schienen sich dabei kaum für das Verhalten ihrer Kinder zu interessieren. Wir hatten ausdrücklich ein Adults-Only-Hotel gebucht. Tatsächlich handelt es sich jedoch nicht um eine reine Erwachsenenanlage. Es gibt lediglich einen kleinen Bereich nur für Erwachsene, während sich im restlichen Hotel überall Kinder aufhalten. Das entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen und war für uns sehr enttäuschend. Trotz der riesigen Anlage waren Liegen am Pool oder Strand bereits früh morgens reserviert.

• karissa (10/5): Over I enjoyed my stay, it was relaxing - Lots of amenities to choose from! Didn’t feel over crowded. Love the food options, and was pleased with the food/drinks at every location! Did the private balcony, hot tub took 45 mins to fill, not entirely private due to staff/ and people using the staff path. If you want a chair by the pool/beach wake up early and claim your seat with a towel.
• Nass (8/5): Belle escapade mexicaine entre nature et détente - Très bel hôtel avec un personnel super serviable et sympathique du début à la fin du séjour. L’établissement est situé dans un magnifique cadre en pleine nature, avec des animaux sauvages qui se promènent librement, comme des singes et des coatis. La plage, à proximité et appartenant à l’hôtel, offre un sable fin et de nombreux transats à disposition, que ce soit à la piscine ou sur la plage. Les cocktails sont excellents. L’hôtel dispose de nombreux restaurants aux ambiances différentes, proposant une cuisine variée et de grande qualité, parfois même excellente selon les établissements. Mention spéciale au Sakura, au Blue Moon et au Margarita et surtout un grand merci à Madame Haydi qui a fait les réservations pour nous. Des mini-bars sont à disposition et l’eau est fournie chaque jour en quantité. Le service est rapide et efficace. Les chambres sont grandes, tout comme les salles de bain, très spacieuses. Le spa est une activité incontournable sur place, à un prix abordable et qui vaut vraiment le détour. Un service de navette est également disponible tout les 10 minutes dans l’hôtel et le buffet est de bonne qualité. Le service au petit-déjeuner est très long et l’espace est extrêmement bondé, ce qui rend l’expérience peu agréable. Dans la boutique de souvenirs, les prix affichés sur les articles ne correspondaient pas au montant demandé au moment du paiement. Le personnel a évoqué une erreur d’étiquetage, ce qui reste peu professionnel. Les piscines mériteraient d’être chauffées. Lorsqu’il fait très chaud, cela reste supportable, mais les jours de vent ou lorsque les températures sont plus basses, l’eau est extrêmement froide. La chambre était très spacieuse, mais assez vétuste et aurait besoin d’une modernisation. Les prises sont anciennes, les placards et certaines portes ferment difficilement. Cela reflète d’ailleurs un état général que l’on retrouve dans plusieurs espaces de l’hôtel. La porte de la terrasse ne s’ouvrait pas. À notre arrivée, nous avons constaté des taches rouges sur les draps. Avant notre départ, nous avons également remarqué des taches rouges sur l’un des coussins, ce qui ne donne pas une impression de propreté. Enfin, il ne nous a pas été permis de faire un late check-out qui nous avait pourtant été confirmée par une collaboratrice. Le service laisse particulièrement à désirer de la part de Monsieur Alberto, qui s’est occupé de notre check-in et de notre check-out, aucune empathie, aucun sens du service client, aucune excuse et même pas la moindre question pour savoir si notre séjour s’était bien déroulé, ni proposé un taxi, ni au revoir et ni bon retour ou vol de sa part à notre départ..
• David (3/5): “Nice Resort, Dishonest Management — Won’t Return” - This is a very nice resort with lovely wildlife, the wildlife is the best part of this hotel and why we have been here two years running. It also has a nice gym and the majority of the staff are nice and friendly, especially the coffee shop staff and most of the staff that work in the restaurants. What really disappointed us was how cheap and disingenuous the hotel’s “green initiative” felt. They actively encourage guests to skip daily housekeeping by offering $20 resort vouchers for every three days your room isn’t cleaned. We stayed for 9 nights and, like many guests, chose not to request daily cleaning out of respect for housekeeping staff and because we’re perfectly capable of keeping our room tidy ourselves. During our stay, our room was cleaned just once — which was completely fine with us, as that was the arrangement. However, at checkout we went to the front desk to redeem the green vouchers we had earned and were met with unexpected resistance. The housekeeping manager, Lilliana, was fairly rude and seemed reluctant to honor the vouchers. She made several calls and then produced a handwritten logbook (conveniently in pen) claiming our room had been cleaned multiple times throughout our stay — which simply was not true. So one of two things is happening: 1. The hotel is saving money by not providing fresh linens, towels, restocking bathroom items, and potentially reducing housekeeping hours — while still marking rooms as “cleaned.” 2. Either management, housekeeping, or both are falsely logging room cleanings to avoid honoring their own green incentive program. We had even saved the housekeeping door cards that are left when a room isn’t cleaned because of the privacy tag — my partner kept them just in case. When we showed them as proof, they were essentially dismissed, almost as if they didn’t exist. The front desk manager, Antonio, stood by and simply repeated that “the log shows it was cleaned,” offering no real effort to resolve the situation fairly. At that point, it stopped being about the vouchers and became about principle. Being told our room was cleaned when it clearly wasn’t — and being treated as though we were the ones being dishonest — was unacceptable.

In den Pool Bereichen, in denen Kinder erlaubt waren, war deutlich mehr los. Es gab die Möglichkeit für einen Late Check out, hat auch gut funktioniert. Es gab viele Restaurants, sodass man nicht immer vom Buffet essen musste, wenn man mal etwas anderes essen wollte. Der Zimmerservice hat sehr gut funktioniert! Im Café musste man sehr lange anstehen. Teilweise waren 3 Mitarbeiter hinterm Tresen, nur einer hat gearbeitet und das nicht besonders schnell, obwohl viele Leute angestanden sind. Manchmal musste ich für einen Kaffee 30min anstehen und das, obwohl Nebensaison war. Die Minibar wird jeden Tag aufgefüllt (Softdrinks, Bier und Wasserflaschen), aber es war für 2 Erwachsene eigentlich zu wenig Wasser. Das Hotel wirbt mit wiederverwendbaren Bechern und man bekommt auch überall ein Glas Wasser, aber es ließe sich mehr Müll vermeiden, wenn man Wasserspender aufstellen würde, bei denen man seine Flasche auffüllen kann. Für die Restaurants ist eine Reservierung notwendig, was ich auch verstehe. Was ich schade finde, dass man nur 1x in 7 Tagen in ein „fine dining“ Restaurant gehen kann. Man muss sich also entscheiden, wenn man nur ein paar Tage dort ist.

La grosse déception c'est le changement, en plein milieu du séjour, de notre partie de l'hôtel adult only sans prévenir ni excuses et sans contrepartie. Ceci a terni fortement notre séjour car la piscine attenante très agréable n'était plus d'un coup adult only et celle dédiée était beaucoup moins agréable et très éloignée de notre chambre et surtout pas adulte only ! Un changement en somme inopportun. De plus, la mer était remplie de sargasses tout le long du séjour, un véritable carnage et un plaisir de la mer volé. Dommage car ensembles piscines infrastructures et restaurants de grande qualité.

The high volume electronic music at the adults only pool was a distraction. We came to rest and relax. It was excessive volume electronic music.

Durante mi estadía, lo que considero podría mejorarse es la insistencia del personal que ofrece up-grades o membresías de vacaciones compartidas. En reiteradas ocasiones fui abordado para participar en este tipo de promociones, y pese a haber declinado cortésmente desde un inicio, la insistencia continuó, llegando a generar una situación incómoda. Comprendo que este tipo de programas forma parte del modelo comercial del hotel, sin embargo, considero fundamental que se respete la decisión del huésped cuando manifiesta su negativa. La experiencia de descanso y disfrute no debería verse interrumpida por ofertas reiteradas o por un exceso de insistencia. En mi caso particular, proviniendo desde Chile, las vacaciones compartidas no resultan una opción viable debido a los costos y la distancia, por lo que la oferta carece de sentido. Por ello, sería recomendable que el hotel adoptara medidas más cautelosas para proteger la tranquilidad de sus huéspedes, evitando este tipo de situaciones que pueden resultar desagradables y afectar la percepción general de una estadía que, en otros aspectos, fue satisfactoria.

Iedere avond leuke live muziek. Groot park en genoeg te doen. We dachten dat we adults only hadden en dit echt afgelegen zou zijn. Helaas ligt er een gedeelte (gebouw) in het resort met zwembad wat adults only is. Het gehele park is dat niet.

Tutto perfetto, dall'accoglienza (con la sorpresa dell' upgrade della camera con vasca sul rooftop), passando per tutti i servizi di ristorazione (10 ristoranti e 1 caffetteria), negozi e diverse piscine, il tutto in un ambiente pulito, divertente e con staff sempre professionale e cortese. Posizione sulla spiaggia non grande ma comunque interessante. Attività tutti i giorni che siano di svago giornaliero (escursioni) o di svago notturno (teatro, sala giochi, serate a tema, musica dal vivo e bowling). Nel nostro caso, ottimo anche il servizio "adults only" con piscina, bar e ristorante dedicati. La posizione del Resort, è distante circa 8km da Playa del Carmen e quindi per uscire la sera o in giornata è necessario il taxi o trasporto in bus per escursioni.

• Pytsje (9/5): Aanrader - Tijdens onze rondreis hier de laatste dagen doorgebracht. Wat heerlijk! Ondanks dat het een groot resort is, is alles spik en span in orde. Het is schoon en netjes, geen onkruid, vriendelijk personeel, neusbeertjes die rondlopen en niet agressief zijn. Attent om even te bellen naar je kamer of alles in orde is... netjes hoor. Daarnaast vonden we het eten ook meer dan prima en was er eigenlijk teveel keus. We hebben ook in het restaurant steakhouse en blue moon gegeten. Smaak prima in orde. Voor de vibe van blue moon mag de sfeer nog wel wat intiemer, aangezien ze adverteren als romantic diner. De verlichting iets dimmen, wat meer kaarsjes erbij, en dan is het net wat knusser. Handig ook dat je bandje, tevens ook de sleutel van je kamer is. Ideaal! Maar al met al een aanrader. Over het eten en resort weinig op aan te merken. Ik vindt het echter wel vervelend dat je moet ondertekenen voor je all-inclusive bandje, dat mocht je hem kwijt raken, dat je dit 130 USD kost. Hier moet je voor tekenen, maar vindt dit bedrag erg hoog. Net als de handdoeken kaart.

Nos encanta la forma en que el complejo facilita el transporte interno con carritos, lo que ayuda a caminar menos si lo deseas, aunque también puedes recorrerlo a pie y disfrutar de la vista. La zona de adultos donde nos hospedamos fue muy tranquila y respetuosa, ideal para una escapada en pareja. Además, su ubicación es excelente, con fácil acceso desde Playa del Carmen. ¡Totalmente recomendable! Existen algunos puntos que consideramos pueden mejorar: Bebidas y restaurantes incluidos: Deberían explicar con mayor claridad qué bebidas y restaurantes están incluidos según la categoría, ya que la información actual puede ser confusa incluso cuando se pregunta al personal. Climatización: Los restaurantes principales y áreas comunes requieren un sistema de aire más eficiente, ya que en días calurosos el ambiente puede ser sofocante por la cantidad de personas. Horarios: Sería ideal ampliar el horario del buffet y los restaurantes de especialidad, así como ofrecer una opción abierta durante la madrugada para quienes llegan tarde o regresan de actividades nocturnas. A pesar de estos detalles, volveríamos sin dudarlo, ya que el lugar tiene una atmósfera increíble y es ideal para relajarse o disfrutar en pareja.

• Lexi (6/5): - Booked the swim up pool room and loved it. Went for birthday and we told them and they sent complementary wine and chocolates and then again once we told them we got engaged! Reservation restaurants were okay but the portions are small and the buffet was not good. Same options for lunch and dinner and same every night. Only had like 2 main buffet lines that changed foods everything else was the same. When sitting at buffet we had to ask every time for water after waiting 5-10 mins. The adult side is very small. The swim up pool room is apart of adult only but they only have 1 small pool that is adults only. Literally every single thing else has kids and we were thinking it would be separate with kids and family one side and adults have their own side but no just one pool. Every restaurant but one breakfast one is family friendly so if you’re wanting separate adult and family resorts this is not that. A lot of the workers also don’t really pay too much attention and overlook English speaking families. And a lot of workers are racist. I’m white and my boyfriend is black and we got overlooked so many times even when we got to wherever before anybody else. Many times we’d be at the bar before other people and they wouldn’t come over and they weren’t busy but when other people white or Spanish speaking, would show up they would go straight to them and we’d have to ask every time to be helped and then they always had some attitude.

• Brian (10/5): - Property was nice and well kept. Unfortunately there is not much of a beach to speak of. Severely eroded when we visited in August of 2025. The Sargassum was definitely in full force as well, but that is out of their control. They worked diligently to remove it every day. Our swim up room was excellent, air conditioning worked well. We really enjoyed the food here, especially at the Buffet. The specialty restaurants were all a bit warm which made the experience less than enjoyable, but the food was good. The staff was extremely friendly and our Concierge Lisandro was great! He checked in with us numerous times and assisted with dinner reservations. Also a special shout out to Miguel at the el Beso swim up bar. He was excellent, remembered our drink orders when we came up each time and made a delicious margarita!
• Kylie (6/5): - Room: Our fridge didn't work and it took three days to replace the fridge. One of the sink drains didn't drain properly, fixed on day two and our toilet didn't flush properly. Our door didn't close, unless we slammed it, because the door jam piece was bent. We didn't realize El Beso was an ADULTS ONLY SECTION on the resort. We were also asked to take a one hour "tour", which was a huge sales gimmick and took 3 hrs. Even after this, people stopped us at breakfast, in the lounge, at the pool and in other areas to ask us to take this "tour". The constant hounding to purchase something got annoying and was not appreciated. The food wasn't great. Everything in a sauce is cooked in the same red tomato sauce. Salt and pepper is not easy to find. The steak house was ok, because we ordered our steak medium rare. Crepes are good. All the seafood and meat, in every restaurant, was overcooked, it was chewy and not easy to eat. The pool in El Beso was great, until it got busy. Once it got busy there were no lawn chairs to use. We tried to sit in the "premium" section, but got kicked out, because we weren't members. When we mentioned that there were no chairs available the guy told us "too bad" and made us move, however, another couple (not premium members) were able to stay. Staff throughout the resort was rude, except our maid. The beach is covered in seaweed (not their fault). Pros: quiet in El Beso. Good drinks. Easy to get around. Rooms were clean and quiet.
