Guest Reviews
- Hoffmann (1/5): Would never stay at this hotel again. - I already filed a complaint. The room was filthy, the air conditioning didn't work.
- Vacation16310146263 (2/5): Harassment - The owner Kevin harassed me before the check out time about a fee that was already paid online. Called the phone in the room continously and knocking on the door demanding payment and disrespecting his guests. Listen to me people, do NOT book a room here
- Silverman (8/5): - It was quiet and the staff leaves you be Could complain but have been at far worse
- Sanders (10/5): - Good staff
- Richard (10/5): -

- Traveler (10/5): - Our room was adequate. Good location. The lobby was scruffy. The front desk person was dressed, as if he was homeless. Walking in made us very uncomfortable. After we spoke with him, he was very nice. You have to make that lobby nicer and, if you have anything to do with the bar, clean that up too.
- Silverman (8/5): - It was a short stay but the bed was nice I didn't have to walk up stairs and I totally utilized the huge stand up shower đ There was a man the night I checked in with a little attitude but when I gave him a little attitude back the rest of the interaction went fairly smooth
- Jesus (4/5): -
- Mel (1/5): - worst continental breakfast I've ever seen
- Tony (2/5): Nice people not a good bathroom experience. - The location was excellent, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good. A broken lamp shade was sitting on one of bed stands when I got to my room. There was no hot water for the shower. There was a lack of counter space around bathroom sink. The toilet roll dispenser was dilapidated and looked old.
- Anthony (3/5): - Location Old and not worth what we payed

- Bryant (6/5): - Older property. Although the bathrooms were updated, the tv was very small and the air conditioner was very noisy. The night staff was good but the morning staff was not courteous, did not ask anything about my satisfaction or thank me at all. Continental breakfast was subpar and hot items lukewarm. Be sure to check expiration dates on the bread and bagels. They were 2 days expired.
- Nicole (4/5): - The room was dirty, the water was brown that came out of the office. We got a free drink ticket to the bar in the hotel but it never opened.
- William (8/5): Like this hotel and stay there when in Wisconsin - Pet friendly Location. Cleaning crew none English speaking.
- Brendan (6/5): - Delavan is a quaint nice community making it a welcoming comfortable hometown.People were friendly, good deals at the Arcadia bar connected and even some nice bakeries.
As for the hotel could you some updates and cleaning. I have stayed at many Wyndham and this could use some improvement such as getting new mattress if it's dirty. In the room we stayed it had a big brown stain and some yellowish strains. I found this out because of the mattress cover and we had already stayed in that bed the night before. This happened on our second night, i did go down stairs and the gentleman at the front desk did switch our room to a cleaner one and we were satisfied with the new room. Also breakfast can definitely need improvement also.
- Lindsay (4/5): - Good area of town and decent for a last minute hotel due to a family emergancy. However pur shower head leaked non stop (we just closed the bathroom door so we wouldnt hear it while trying to sleep) and could use bathroom updates.
- denise (3/5): Unrelaxing with all the issues - Breakfast was ok
Great locat Toilet didnât work the water was shut off
We notified staff didnât come to look at it we turned on the water then it kept running. Mirror in bathroom broke. Couldnât ajust the water coming on of the shower the sink didnât drain not enough towels for 2 people
- Joe (8/5): -
- Adam (2/5): Awful - This place is disgusting. And a band played in the bar until 1am. What the actual hell?
- toddh136 (8/5): Decent hotel. - Hotel is located right on main street which I liked. Staff was helpful. Easy parking. Free breakfast. Room was clean but a little shabby. Bathroom door only opens 1/2 way because they installed a bigger toilet. Access panel to A/C in the ceiling not replaced.
- Erin (1/5): -
- D8028AUjenniferw (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience I Have Ever Had - This was a terrible experience from start to finish. The room had major water damage and what appeared to be black mold. The walls were dirty, with visible damage and holes around the outlets. When I arrived, one of the rooms even had the toilet water shut off, and I quickly discovered it was because the toilet would not stop running. There was also no hand soap provided in the bathroom.
The overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel were extremely poor. The carpets were dirty and stained, and in the middle of the entryway there was a large Rubbermaid bucket set out to catch water leaking from the air duct above. The container had water and trash in it, creating a very unwelcoming first impression. The guest rooms were no better, with dirty walls, water damage, and fixtures in disrepair. Some areas showed possible signs of mold, which was very concerning. The bathrooms were not properly stocked, and the furniture and bedding were old, worn, and poorly maintained. It was clear from both the common areas and guest rooms that cleanliness and upkeep are not a priority at this location.
The breakfast was also extremely disappointing. The food was not covered at any point and had no option to be covered. It was cold and poorly maintained in the chafing dishes, the coffee was empty the entire morning, and the ice machine did not work. When I asked for more coffee at 7:30 in the morning, the staff acted as though it was a burden.
The staff overall was unhelpful and rude. At one point, a man behind the desk just sat and stared at my daughter, which was very unsettling. Upon check-in, there was no one at the front desk, and I had to go into the convenience store in the front of the building to find someone to call for assistance. I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by asking for help. During checkout, the woman at the desk huffed when I asked if I should simply place the keys in the basket labeled âreturn keys here.â When I asked if there was anything else I needed to do, she sighed again before answering.
For the price paid, the value was extremely disappointing. The parking lot was poorly maintained with uneven surfaces, adding to the overall neglected appearance of the property. The convenience store in the front did not feel like a typical hotel shop offering necessities or quick items. Instead, it came across more like a head shop, with pipes and paraphernalia as the main focus, which added to the uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere.
As a Wyndham Rewards account holder, my experience at this location was especially disappointing. I was not greeted or acknowledged as a rewards member at check-in, and at no point during my stay did I feel valued or recognized for my membership. It was also very embarrassing, as I had recommended staying at a Wyndham property to other family members who were in town for a wedding while I was visiting from out of state. Based on my past positive experiences, I expected the same level of quality and service, but this stay fell far short and left me regretting that recommendation.
I did not report these problems to the hotel staff because they were already aware of issues from my family membersâ rooms that had been previously reported, yet no action was taken. It appeared that they were well aware of the problems and simply chose not to address them, which was evident given the overall neglected state of the establishment.
This was by far the worst Baymont, or hotel in general, that I have ever stayed at. I will not be returning to this location, and I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.
- Adam (2/5): - This hotel was nothing like the pictures. It was disgusting and not clean at all. The bathroom was filthy and dirty and the windows leaked. The area around the hotel was cute with a nice little old town but overall this hotel doesnât even deserve a 1 star.
- Wilfedo (4/5): - The place only Was dory end darts inside
- Lorenznen (7/5): -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Poorly kept and managed hotel, DO NOT recommend! - This was one of the worst hotel experiences Iâve ever had. To start, we were charged an early check-in fee; something Iâve never experienced at any other hotel, including 5-star hotels. When we walked into our room, it was clear it had not been properly cleaned from the prior guest. The only thing that appeared to have been changed were the sheets.
The mini-fridge still had food in it, there was body wash left in the shower, wrappers on the ground, bugs flying around, and even the sheets had rips. The entire room and hotel itself felt old, dirty, and run-down.
When we returned from the wedding we were attending, we decided we did not feel comfortable staying overnight. We went down to the front desk to address the issue but found no one thereâjust a note that said the attendant had âstepped away.â When someone finally came back, the staff member, Rene, was incredibly rude and combative. Rather than apologizing, he accused us for not reporting the problems right away, in which we explained that we had a wedding to attend to. He eventually wrote down the managerâs phone number, but when we called and left a voicemail that same night, no one returned our call. It has now been two days with no response.
For the price we paid, this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the dirty, poorly maintained room, the lack of staff availability, and the rude treatment we received, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
- JEFFREY (10/5): -
- Donna (4/5): - Hotel is grossly in need of updating. Christmas decoration, broken ice machines, very dim lighting in lobby, drapes not secured and peeling sink countertop was our experience.
- Robin (8/5): - Staff was friendly... beautiful town It needs updates, no room phone
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Staff. Nice Room. Easy parking.
- Kevin (10/5): - Everything was good
- Kristine (1/5): Horrible - There is nothing to like. This property is very run down and unkept. The sink in the bathroom leaked onto the floor. There was weird stuff on the wall and a hole in the bathroom door. The carpet was also wet. Not to mention very bad customer service I stayed at this hotel expecting a peaceful and comfortable night, but unfortunately, that was far from the reality. There was a baptism party being held in the rental hall located in the basement of the hotel, and the music was so loud it could be clearly heard all the way up on the third floor where my room was.
When I contacted the front desk to express my concern, I was first told that the event organizers had rented the space and could "do what they want" until midnight. After midnight, the story changedâthey had apparently rented the hall until 3 AM, and I was told there was nothing the hotel could do because the group had paid for the space.
I reminded staff that I had also paid for a serviceâspecifically, a quiet and clean room to rest inâbut that clearly didnât matter. The loud music continued for hours, making it impossible to sleep.
This was an extremely frustrating experience and a clear sign of poor prioritization of guest comfort. Allowing events like this to disrupt the rest of paying guestsâwithout offering any form of resolution or compensationâis unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here if youâre looking for a peaceful environment or a hotel that values all of its guests equally.
- Joseph (4/5): Will not stay again. - Place was run down and stains on sheets and curtains. Broken desk chair. I booked a stay here because they advertise they have a restaurant and bar attached. They have no restaurant it is closed. And the bar only stays open till 8 instead of midnight like advertised. Also the bar was kind of run down to. Spending a little time to clean the place up and fix it up and this would be a nice hotel in a nice little town. The owners obviously are letting it get run down and doing the bare minimum of repairs and cleaning. I would not stay here again.
- phyllis (2/5): - Disgusting filthy hotel. We were staying because of attending a wedding nearbyâŠwe didnât even stay we drove home in the middle of the night!!
- Ellen (6/5): Baymont motel - The check in took a long time even though I had filled out the check-in information online. The room was clean but there was a hole in the bathroom door. The workmanship on things that have been mended such as caulking was very sloppy.
- Footprints809592 (6/5): Room was adequate for short term. - Located in downtown Delavan. It is essentially a store front in a row of retail establishments. Not fancy, but clean and adequate. No hairdryer even though it is stated in the description. Beds are fine and the shower is good. Breakfast was fine.. We did not care for the bowl-type bathroom sink which was placed on top of the counter. It was too high.
- Jeremy (1/5): -
- Tom (5/5): - Not much Some of the staff was rude, the breakfast was poorly done, I mentioned that the garbage was full in the breakfast area and the man shook the garbage can he didn't even replace the bag. I fell over in the desk chair because the arm was broken and I didn't realize it but they needed seem like it was fine.
- John (2/5): - Filthy bathroom. Outdated room. Lobby breakfast out of coffee. Poor security. Poor lighting. Worst hotel we have EVER stayed in. Never again. No More Wyndham!
- Dawn (9/5): Had a relaxing time. - It was close to restaurants and shopping. I was also able to have my pet with me. Property could use some updates. Carpet
- Herdt (3/5): Not the greatest place to stay - Nothing You can tell the hotel was poorly put together
- Kristen (6/5): - There was a used razor blade on the sink in the bathroom and a used bar of soap in the shower.
- NANCY (4/5): - Limited parking. Noisy street. Dirty/remodeling items in hallway.
- Heather (6/5): - The area was great. The property is old and needs updating. Dirty and noisy air conditioning
- John and Cynthia (8/5): - The Lobby and Breakfast area is dark even though lit by a lot of glitzy lights which really don't go with the rest of the decor. The spaces don't have a welcoming feel. The staff treated and spoke to us very well but they sounded harsh when speaking to each other, which could be a cultural issue.
- Suero20 (2/5): Don't Try to Save Money by Staying Here - We stayed here for one night for a family wedding in nearby Lake Geneva. The $200 price, which itself is not inexpensive, was certainly not worth the price. We have traveled extensively and this hotel is by far the worst experience we've ever had. To start, we paid the extra $25 for an early check-in. Upon arrival, the desk said that it was not necessary to pay the additional fee bc the room was ready and we were only 50 minutes away from regular check-in time. We were very grateful and headed up to our room to get ready. What we found was just awful. There was a ceiling tile in the bathroom that was bowed and looked like it was going to fall at any time on your head, the shower pan was stained, the towels were literally gray and some were riddled with holes, the lamp shades were stained, the desk chair was broken (to the point where my husband sat down and almost flipped over). Again, this was not an incredibly cheap option and yet the hotel was in total disrepair. To add insult to injury, our credit card is being charged twice. Once for the original room fee and again for the fee with the early check-in included. I have called twice to try and remedy this and have gotten no where. Pay the more expensive prices and stay in Lake Geneva, this is not worth the money or the savings.
- Steven (10/5): -
- Leslie (6/5): - This hotel is fine for a quick stay.
- Wylie (5/5): - The bed was comfortable, great water pressure and temp in the shower, and the high toilets. The clerk gave us the wrong room at first, and then when we got to the right room, there were no light bulbs in the lights. Also, one of the main entrance lights did not work at all!!!. There were no outlets, connections for today's world, and the card left to let you know if we wanted our bed sheets changed were useless. We did exactly what the card said to do, but to no avail.
Also, I tried calling the day before we left numerous times to ask a question, and no one picked up the phone!!!!
- Chelsie (2/5): - By far worst hotel we've ever stayed at, and we could tell this based off our first impression when we walked in. Hotel is run down. Our room was awful with dusty vents & uncomfortable bed. Staff was not friendly at all. Just unbelievable for what we paid for a two night stay here. The management of this place should be ashamed.
- Kaylee (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ron (10/5): - Nice place
- Patrick (2/5): - This property needs serious updating and "very" overpriced for condition. Hotel was old and poorly maintained. Bathroom was dirty, shampoo dispenser empty. Hallway dingy.
Would not stay again.
- Rayford (2/5): Invasion of privacy - I left to go get food at around 930 at night. I left my lamp light on, the TV and the AC on. When I returned, everything was off. I will be calling later on for a refund on my stay.
- Howard (9/5): It was a great stay. The breakfast could have been better but there were plenty of places nearby - Breakfast was not the greatest. Breakfast
- Eileen (3/5): Look for another location- dirty - Close to everything Kevin was very rude, he also stated that the check in time was 3:30 which in fact the website and the sign on the wall states 3pm There was no parking the bedspread was disgusting the bed aged to the second bed support there was no extra blanket as requested
- 486jillz (2/5): Horrible hotel. Donât waste your money. - Do not stay at this hotel. We booked two rooms for two nights as we were in town for a wedding. The hotel is nothing like the pictures on their website. Lobby is strange and sketchy. It took them a good 10 minutes just to find my reservation in their computer. Everyone there barely spoke English. After finally getting checked in we found our room to be not what we booked. I booked a room with two queen beds and got a room with one bed. The room smelled funny. Stains on the sheets. I called to complain about the sheets and they sent two women to change them. One older woman and one young woman wearing pajama pants and a ratty t-shirt. First they came with sheets that were the wrong size for the bed. Then they finally got the right ones, but the mattress itself was stained all along the edge with what looked like blood. The ceiling was partially drop ceiling and the tiles were not in correctly- tilted and dirty. Air vents dirty. Holes cut in the vanity in the bathroom because the plumbing for the sink was all crooked and rigged. The shower door was partially broken at the hinges so you had to fight with it to get it to open. Shower head positioned so that you either had to get into the shower before the water got warm or you had to reach in , turn the water on and get smacked in the face with cold water. The parking lot was super sketchy at night with people who were not staying there hanging out there all night. No soap for the shower at all. Only one tiny hotel size bar of soap by the sink. No ice machine available. We wouldâve left immediately but could not find any vacancies in the area and we had to get to our nephews wedding. This is a horribly run hotel. Donât waste your money!!
- Felice (3/5): I will not stay at this location ever again. - Nothing. Mold around shower, caps missing on plug fixtures. All types of people coming in and out , parking lot behind hotel off alley.
- Jeff (2/5): Very poor - It was a roof over my head. Lobby stunk, carpets were in need of a cleaning, showerhead had more water coming out the back, ceiling was falling down above the shower, bugs in one bed and stains on the sheets in the other, towels were dingy etc.
- Jamie (2/5): - After booking and paying fully through Expedia, the hotel decided to also separately charge me for my room. Upon calling them, theyâre stating that I never had a reservation and didnât stay there⊠oh and the icing on the cake was the full on fight right outside my hotel room where the police had to be called. Funny how I have that on video and yet I ânever stayed thereâ.
- Constance (6/5): - I was completely disregarded at check in. 1 staff member never looked up to help me even when asked by another staff member, who was on the phone. He instead picked up his cell phone and started scrolling instead of helping me check in. I was promised a late check out but that was rescinded as well. Never again. I'd rather stay in my car for the night
- Verified traveler (8/5): Value okâŠneeds to be cleaner - Room had odor when we arrived and there was a pair of dirty underwear behind refrigerator on floor.
- Irene (9/5): Great deal for your money, Safe, Clean - It was very affordable, safe and in the heart of the town. I believe the bathrooms are getting an upgrade, it was a little out of sorts but nothing negative to comment. Just a work in progress,
- Gerilynn (1/5): It was horrible. Only good thing was there were no bed bugs - Location only It was gross. Libby was dark and roof leaked rain. The whole hotel smelled like mold. Our air conditioner barely worked. Had to keep it at 76. Broken bathroom mirror. Toilet continuously ran. Electricity went out in room. Coffee maker did not work. No remote control for tv. Room was dusty and gross. Shower floor was all pulling up.
- David (4/5): - Rooms are musty, dirty. Hallways have garbage. Needs a huge renovation
- Deren (2/5): - Door was partially ripped off my room. The drapes look like someone wiped their butt on them. Pubes on soap dispenser in shower. Could barely get the door opened or closed it was so messed up. Booked 2 nights but only stayed 1 it was so gross. Would ask for a refund but not with my time.
- Kim (1/5): Bad - Very dirty. Pea all over walls. Smelly hall ways. People swearing in other rooms. We didnt even stay. Manager was rude and wouldn't give me my money back.
- S4859ZCstaceym (2/5): At $110 per night, I wasn't expecting much, yet still was disappointed. - The bed was relatively comfortable, with clean sheets and pillows, and the room was pretty clean (not spotless, but pretty clean). That's the only really good thing I can say. The hallways were filthy, with stains and nasty debris embedded in the carpeting (thankfully the rooms were cleaner). The building smells of years-old cigarette smoke and mildew. Curtains falling off the rods, holes in the blackout curtain, an extremely tiny bathroom with no counterspace or towel bars. One single ice machine in the lobby (6-floor hotel) but it was broken so you had to go to the bar (next door) for ice, yet they were not open most of the time, so you had to go to the front desk and get them to unlock the bar to get ice. We were intentionally looking for low-cost (This was an event for a small business we just opened, so we didn't want to spend a ton of money). We were prepared to deal with a few annoyances because of that, but this was beyond what we expected to be on a budget. Next time, we will definitely pay more, but I trusted the Baymont and Wyndham name.
- Abby (8/5): - It was a nice place to stay while in Delavan. A little far for a wedding in Lake Geneva, but it was good!
- Faya (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting property. Rooms look like they have never been cleaned, stains on bedding, doors wouldnât close and looked like they have been kicked in. Smelled like smoke and human uncleanliness. Pay a little extra and go somewhere else. Only bright spot of the stay was that the attendant, Rene moved us to another room.
- Nohr (9/5): Good location downtown convenience - Location Breakfast
- Andrew (4/5): Disappointing -
- SUSAN (8/5): - The motel was on the Main Street . I was surprised and parking in the back. It really needs to be cleaned and swept up by their back door. The room was clean and a nice shower. But they need to finish the remodel in the bathroom. Door is heavy and squeaks, tiles are missing in the ceiling, under the sink needs to be concealed. Otherwise is was good for one night and the price.
- Malgorzata (10/5): - Excellent staff
- Clifford (2/5): Never Again - I have stayed at a few different Baymont by Wyndham hotels in the past with my family and dog with no issues, so I booked the hotel for my family's vacation that was a mistake. The room we got was not cleaned at all, there was still garbage in the trash can and on the floor. The toilet did not work and the employee at the front desk said to just turn on and off the water valve every time we used the toilet. The mirror in the bathroom had a huge piece missing from it posing a cut risk, and the hallway outside of my room was flooded with standing water creating a slip and fall hazard. There was trash piled up outside of the elevator for two days. We asked for towels and toilet paper for the room and did not receive any for two days so we bought our own. The hotel and room was so bad that we decided to end our family vacation early and go home.
- Richard (4/5): - Did the job as a lone traveler, but wouldn't go if I were coming with someone
- Verified traveler (6/5): It's a place to sleep - They've updated the rooms but it's just kind of slapped together.. paint is messy , floor is uneven in the room. Beds are old & springy but do the job. Bathroom has updates but messy & shower was stained. Bathroom door closes behind you. Got there late at night , the guy working was nice.. basic breakfast, food ran out early & wasn't refilled. Better options for the price
- Bertha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Ricardo (6/5): - Area is good but hotel seem 100 years old easily.
- Kristine (2/5): - This hotel was very dirty. The first room they gave us was covered in vomit and had booze bottles all over. When I asked for a different room they asked if it was up to my expectations. Well it wasnât covered in sick so yeah it was âbetter.â There was a smell through the whole hotel though. And our second room was covered with mold. Fairly certain there were bed bugs as well and even the second room not fully sure it was actually cleaned as there were crumbs on the bed side table.
- Christina (8/5): - The bar music was to loud considerin the location of my room however it didnt go past 10 pm so we all good fam. id do it again for surrreee
- Dariia (5/5): Itâs suitable for a one-night stay, but not recommended for a longer visit. - Our room was clean and well-equipped, featuring an iron, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, and a/c. Free parking. Friendly desk stuff. Breakfast is only available until 9:00 AM, which is quite early, especially for guests on vacation. It would be more accommodating to extend this time.
Additionally, our check-out was scheduled for 11:00 AM, but at 10:50 AM, a staff member entered our room without our permission and asked us to leave. This was impolite and unprofessionalâan experience weâve never encountered at other hotels.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Tracy (2/5): - At first site I knew there probably will be problems.
I had go down to the front desk and report we had No remote for tv. Part of the ceiling in our room was missing, thick dust on the intake vent.
The bed was comfortable the sheets were clean. The rug was stained and my goodness the cloth chair was disgusting!! The price was fair. You park behind building and it was pretty sketchy.
I did the check in online like they asked, when I went in it still took over 10 15 minutes.
We were waiting for the elevator and it finally ca.e we couldn't ride because the house keeping lady said there was no room!! So we took the stairs the stair well was dirtyand it drops you outside the building,so you have to go in the front to get to where your car is parked.
- Mike (2/5): - The pictures in the listing are not honest pictures , pay attention to other recent reviews. It does not look like this.
The hallway smelled like someone emptied 2 aerosol cans of air freshener, it was hard to breath. The room was gross, everything (sheets included) had stains.
We spent 10 minutes in the room and left.
- byron (8/5): - Staff always nice and friendly
