Tiene buena ubicación para ir andando al centro, aunque son unos 20 minutos.
Karla (10/5): Lovely place in an excelent location! - Volar is a beautiful hotel and the staff is wonderful. My room was very big with a super comfortable bed, plenty of space. The location is perfect, away from the hustle of the old town but walking distance. Great reastaurants and shops around, lovely pool and delicious breakfast. They were super kind and helpful. I highly recommend it! The bathroom wasn't as beautiful as the room but good enough.

Claire (10/5): Merveilleux séjour - Emplacement idéal à quelques minutes en taxi de l’agitation de la vieille ville (1€). La piscine, le petit déjeuner et le confort de la literie nous ont beaucoup plu, sans parler de la gentillesse du personnel, toujours très à l’écoute . En plus des bons conseils pour trouver un tailleur et aller à My Son, les hôtesses ont offert un cadeau à ma fille pour son anniversaire!

Philip (10/5): Staff were extremely kind and understanding, the room was fantastic and the breakfast was amazing. 10/10 establishme - The room, breakfast, the services and especially the staff Cannot find anything negative to say. But having one centralised location to iron clothes or having an iron in the room will greatly improve the quality of the stay.
Taha (7/5): Disappointing - Ok location and friendly staff. Room size was great. Room was dirty and incredibly mouldy. Found dead fly on my pillow and black mould throughout the bathroom. It smelt terrible. Fridge had hair and visible dirt. Breakfast was average. No elevator to carry bags.

We had a room that is very spacious and has a balcony overlooking the pool. We also enjoyed the pool very much. Also amazing that they offer free bicycles! Some of the bicycles of the property can use some maintenance, as some brakes do not work properly.

Being a small property, they do not have lifts, and the staff had to carry our big suitcases up to the 3rd floor, which was quite heartbreaking to watch. I'll also suggest more vegetarian options for breakfast and lobby could be a little bit more tidy.

Ella (9/5): Superb - This lovely little place made our time in Hoi An. The girls that work there are absolutely brilliant and work so hard from morning until the evening. They are always checking everything’s ok, they booked our tour, our car back to Da Nang, cooked breakfasts in the morning. All with a smile! The room itself was big and spacious, and the balcony was a lovely space to have. It was so clean and was tidied every day for us no matter what time we left the room. The pool was also amazing especially in an afternoon when we were hot and bothered after strolling around the old town. The breakfast was super good- had such a good mix of local food, fruit, cereal and eggs made to order. The location was a little out of the main town but with the free bicycles it took all of 10 minutes to get there and it was lovely and quiet. The rice fields were not far from the hotel too and they are a treat to cycle through as the sun sets. The only thing was that the aircon didn’t keep the room super cool. Thankfully there was a fan too so we were ok. But just something little to note!

Nice to have a balcony too and a pool in the property (although we didn’t have time to use it as we did so much around Hoi An!) Excellent service from San and Tam and the rest of the team who helped us with all of our plans while we were in Hoi An and worked so hard to make sure we had the best time. San and Tam are brilliant. They really made us feel comfortable and at home! Really tasty breakfast as well! Felt very full for the day ahead. We used the bikes on one day which are offered for free and were convenient for getting to the beach. We also hired a motorbike to get to My Son - it was in great condition and got us there and back comfortably. If you’re reading these reviews then you’re probably aware that the location isn’t as close to the main town as some other hotels and homestays, but it was only a 20 minute walk which was never an issue for us (we love walking, and you can also use the free bikes if you’d prefer) and it’s a great way to soak up the local atmosphere. Overall an absolutely fantastic stay and great value. We were really happy, and extended our original stay from 3 nights to 6 nights and are planning our next trip to come back. There was nothing we didn’t like!
Anthony (10/5): The perfect Homestay for us! - As in my previous review: - outstanding stay! - comfortable rooms and facilities - excellent, friendly and attentive service from San, Tam and the rest of the team - excellent breakfast - great value - location a bit further out than other places but really not an issue (either a 20 minute walk or you can use the bikes that they provide for free) - the positive of this is that you have easy access to both the town and the beach, and the walk/cycle lets you take in more of the local area. It was a positive for us. Will be recommending to all my friends and hope to return soon! Nothing!

Additionally, a spacious room just makes my stay all the more comfortable and enjoyable. Due to the high humidity, there was an unpleasant odor in the room and the clothes failed to dry completely.
Han (9/5): Hoi An by bike - The perfect spot - Our 5 day stay at Volar Homestay was a wonderful experience. They recognised the fact we are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with decorations and some beautiful food. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. We could use their bikes and we cycled between 20-30kms most days to see all the sights that are just slightly out of town. The tour booking desk was also very efficient and on par to slightly cheaper than we could book ourselves. Well done, we can highly recommend this homestay!
Maya (7/5): Good - It's a nice place with a café next to it. The breakfast was ok. The room was big. The pool seemed nice but we didn't use it. We didn't always had hot water, the facilities were new but not well maintained, the bed wasn't comfortable. The location is a bit far from everything .We ended up leaving to another homestay and paid half of the price and got a much better room.
Ashton (9/5): Nice room, friendly staff, good location. Will stay here again if we return to Hoi An! - Good location, about a 15 minute walk to the old town and the road was very quiet. Friendly & helpful staff, they helped book rides and did laundry in a timely manner. The room was clean and nice looking, and the patio had a nice view of the pool and street. The staff took garbage from the room and replaced towels daily. The breakfast had a lot of options and guests could choose an item to have cooked fresh. Not enough plug ins in the room and the lobby/stairwell to the rooms were extremely hot (no AC or fans to circulate air).
Krittin (8/5): Overall I still recommend this place as a cheap, nice staff, ok location, good breakfast hotel with a bit of limitation? - The place is pretty good for the price, we stay here for 1 night as a couple and the woman at the reception can speak english quite well (as a thai I can communicate well). She provide some of activities that you can add such as coconut boat tour, historical show (with extra cost which may more expensive than spend at the place itself but we choose this because of the convenient) You can ask her for motorcycle rent which cost us 150k for 24 hr rent (Bicycles are also available but for our weak legs it was quite pain to ride to the beach haha) The room was alright, spacious, bed and pillow are comfort but it’s not that clean and have a bit of musty smell in the closet and bath room. It feel like the place used to be homestay before turn into hotel
Martina (10/5): Amazing stay! - More like a hotel then a homestay, amazing place. We were supposed to only be there for two night but we extended our stay for two more. The girls are super nice and helpful, the drove me to the police twice on their own scooters (without wanting anything in exchange, not even gas money) because of some issues with my passport. The breakfast is amazing, you can get anything from a buffet that has fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, cereal and milk, two kind of toast, jam, butter and little pastries… and you can also order something a la carte every morning (we had two dishes each). A breakfast like this got us going till 4 pm every day. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, and we really loved to swim in the pool. The homestay provides free bikes to go around and you can also rent a scooter. Overall the best stay during our trip to Vietnam :)

Sarah (6/5): Good room but beware! Staff is after your money! - The bedroom was perfect, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, nice shower, nice balcony. If you're organized and know your way around, this is a great bedroom for a good price. The eating area and kitchen looked very dirty. Staff was mostly interested in earning money than being helpful. I emailed five weeks in advanced explaining we wanter a private car to go to [My Son] on a half da trip before sunrise, she said it was impossible to go before sunrise, and offered a tour in a bus for a cheap price. (We had a bad experience with bus tours so we didn't want that.) The day before arriving to Hoi An we rented a scooter for 150.000vnd and really enjoyed exploring all around Da Nang, so we asked her for a scooter, and wanted to drive the scooter to My Son, she said to drive "so far" we needed a "bigger" scooter and "very good helmets" and it costs 300.000 per day. When we said no and we're heading to a nearby scooter rental she said she could do 150.000 for this good scooter and good helmets. Made us wait from 4:30 to 6:00pm for this marvelous scooter, which ended up being the oldest and lamest scooter we've seen. We were so disappointed because she wasted all our time and rental shops were closed by the time she brought this awful scooter. We ended up giving up on My Son and just hanging out in the beach for three days. The second morning as we go outside, she said we can hire a private car and go before sunrise for only 750.000vnd. but by then we had already lost all will to go, it's nothing compared to Angkor Wat in Cambodia and too much struggle to find info. The beach was wonderful, the riverside was like a fairy tale place, so beautiful to walk among the yellow houses, definitely worth it!
Livia (8/5): good experience - The hotel looks very nice, it is cozy and bright. It is located outside of the busy center but super close to it. I loved that they provided bikes to guests and that they were ready to help you with all of the bookings! Also delicious breakfast!! Overall, I had a great stay! I didn’t like that there were cockroaches in the room however I must say that they were all over Hoi An so it’s probably hard to stop them from entering the rooms. During breakfast I think they should keep some coffee fruit etc in the common space so that you don’t always have to ask

Montserrat (10/5): Estancia perfecta - La habitación estaba limpia, buen servicio, el primer dia al llegar si que habian bastantes mosquitos en la habitación pero al echar anti mosquitos y encajar bien las ventanas todo ok. Desayuno rico aunque no super abundante, tipo de carta. La piscina estaba limpia aunque no la usamos.
