farmellini (4/5): Great location, great view but... - The location is great, great view and resort personnel are very kind. There is currently a problem with their resort water well (for the last couple of years), it is not proper for drinking, cooking nor brushing teeth. As a result, we had to fetch spring water everyday either at the swimming pool or the main office. Besides, there was a problem with water pressure (first at the bathroom then at the kitchen faucet). The hot water was also an issue, half of the family had to either have a cold bath or go to the swimming pool bathroom for a hot shower. The personnel tried to help, but the issue required a plumber, and they provided no solution for us, and denied a partial refund in exchange for the inconvenience.

Property owners in our unit really seemed to think of everything that was convenient—fans in the closet, well placed outlets by the bed, board games. No complaints

Martin (8/5): Great place to stay in Stowe - The condo was clean and comfortable for a family of 5. It is conveniently located. The fitness center, pool and hot tub are easily accessible and are good. Communications were great and the property owner was very responsive to questions. This is not specific to the property but the water situation in Stowe (high PFAs) prevents the use of tap water for drinking or brushing teeth.

Jeanine (1/5): I didn't stay at this resort due to the unsafe drinking water and lack of convenience getting to my room. - Nothing. My room was on the 2nd floor. With no elevators and 70 stairs to climb with luggage it was next to impossible for my group of women to get to the room. The drinking water had been deemed unsafe and unusable and I was not informed of this until I received an email from booking.com, on behalf of Mountainside Resort at Stowe, the morning of my stay (I have the saved email indicating the time and date) thus making it impossible to cancel and get a refund according to your company. After speaking to management I was told I'd get a refund only to have that rescinded a short time later after I booked a room at another hotel, which was not easy considering it was a Friday night in a tourist town. It was a horrible experience!!
Michelle (8/5): Beautiful and inexpensive getaway weekend! - I loved that the entrances to each unit was staggered, so that noise above (and below if applicable, I had the bottom unit) were very minimal, in fact. I barely heard anyone! Check in and check out were a bit odd but not necessarily bad. Lock box to get my keys was okay, but the next day when I handed in my signed papers I felt it was weird there was no double checking of ID.

Hans-Peter (7/5): Stay was ok. - The coffee in the morning. When i checked out, nobody was at the office at 9:07 am although the office was supposed to be open at 9 am. I put the keys in the key box, called twice - unsuccesfuly - that I checked out and wrote a text message saying that I put the key into the key box with the request to confirm that they received my text message. But there was no reply.

Our stay was short so I just thought I’d complain after since we didn’t have much time especially with the weird office hours. Once I complained the host said I lied and that it was my own hair and stain that I took pictures of to complain about. Wasn’t going to leave a review as I only like to leave positive reviews, however, we continue to get requests to leave a review and after we had contacted the property to tell them the problems we never got a response…So here is a very honest review: The condo smelled of cat urine, the carpets that are very dated needed cleaned badly. The furniture does not match and seems as if it was all picked up at random garage sales. We laid a blanket that was in a bag that we laid across the couch so he felt that we could sit on the couch as even that seemed not as clean as would be nice. The very outdated wallpaper had multiple marks and was coming up off the walls in many areas. when we checked out the girl at the front desk acknowledged that our complaints were consistent with others remarks, but she did not offer an apology, compassion, or to reach out to management on our behalf. For the price point of renting this apartment/condo, we expected it to be clean and to feel comfortable and homey. The other places we stayed at when we did our road trip we’re very comfortable, very clean, updated and were in the same price range as this condo. We left both of the other places very favorable reviews! If I had received a response from the property acknowledging how bad this stay was and any sort of apology I would have not left this review, but even with that they did not care enough to reach out. I took pictures but am not posting them here, if the property owners would like them I can send them to them.

Playground facility was unsafe and did not apprar as photographed. Half eaten candy left behind the end table, food scraps on the floor in the kitchen, microwave was not properly wiped down, and poop stains left in toilet. Sean the manager was extremely disrespectful, even laughed and scoffed during our phone call when he refused to let us cancel the second night even though the booking.com cancellation policy clearly states we can but we'd just have to pay for the first night.
