- ErinS3222 (10/5): Great place to stay…close to the water. - We stayed one night in the lodge. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, cold air conditioning. There is a pool on property with a nice bathhouse facility. The owners were very accommodating. We were there with two other couples and all had a great experience. One of the couples booked their room and were accidentally double booked. The owners were so accommodating that they brought their own camper, cleaned it, and had it all prepped for them. Great place to stay and very close to the Jamestown Marina - just a few minutes drive to the water.

The young couple that run the resort did an excellent job making sure we felt welcome and we comfortable with our stay. The rooms were clean and very suitable for our stay. Close to the lake for quick access to put our boat in the lake. We would recommend this resort to everyone!
- J1268AOjeanm (2/5): NEVER GO HERE - I was there for a funeral. Came in very late and just went to bed. In the morning, I went for a shower and found more than a third of the shower curtain was moldy. There was a moldy leak in the ceiling above the shower. "Manager" said she didn't think there was mold until I sent pictures. I wasn't going to do a review since the owners refunded all my cost. However, I trust Trip Advisor for truthful reviews, so here it is.

- Excursion47796354545 (2/5): Charged Additional Fee for Damage Not Caused by Me - I stayed at this hotel in October 2023, which was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Throughout my two-night stay, I had no issues. However, the final morning I noticed water on the floor in the kitchen area and it appeared to be leaking from the refrigerator. I reported the water in the floor to hotel management immediately, but no one came to the room to determine the problem. I followed check-out instructions and upon leaving the room, the water on the floor had increased so I put down towels to keep it from ruining the flooring until someone came to resolve the issue. Later when paying my credit card bill, I discovered an additional $100 charge. I was not contacted and told about this additional charge so I contacted hotel management and was advised it was due to damage I caused from pouring grease down the kitchen sink, resulting in a clogged pipe and that I had taken the kitchen sink pipe apart in an attempt to clean the grease causing excessive water damage. I advised management that I did not cook in the room and only used the oven to bake a casserole with items brought from home. As management was told earlier that day on the telephone, I thought the water was coming from the refrigerator. Management informed me they had pictures and that I had to have caused the damage because the room had no damage before my arrival. If I had known that I was going to have to defend myself to prove that there was no such damage when I left, I would have taken pictures (not a common practice when I check out of a hotel or rental house). Management told me on the telephone that I was not telling the truth and said the pictures proved I caused the damage. I was not disputing that there could have been damage since it did appear the refrigerator was leaking when I left but the pictures could not prove I caused the damage. My dispute is with management stating that I caused the damage which would be extremely difficult since I did not cook in the room and definitely did not pour grease down the drain nor detach any kitchen sink pipes. Management could have avoided further damage to the room if they had responded to my report of the leaking refrigerator in a timely manner. There is no “office” at this hotel forcing you to call management with any questions or issues. Management does answer the phone but always rushes the call leaving you with the impression you are an interruption. I would not recommend this hotel; however, if you decide to stay here, I highly recommend you take pictures of the room when you arrive and again before you leave. Also, check your credit card statement immediately to ensure no additional charges have been applied without your knowledge. At management’s request, I did send an email to the owners explaining what actually occurred, but I do not believe that email was ever provided to the owners. I did not receive a reply and when I called to follow-up, I was told that my email had been archived and that the $100 charge still stands. I learned a valuable $100 lesson with the Timber Point Resort.

- daysoff31 (2/5): gonna miss this place - went a year ago or more no new reviews for 2023.last time was not a good experience , so no new reviews i will not be visiting they were transitioning owners again last time we stayed nobody on the grounds period for 2 days not one person that worked at the place.we stayed here for the last 8 or 9 years but we moved on after the last experience,sad for us we really loved staying here. putting the camp sites behind the lodges spoiled that whole atmosphere the woods was so much nicer .that used to be so nice sitting on the back porches at night with the woods right behind you, now you just hear people and music all night not very private,financially probably good move ,but ruined a great spot for a lot of loyal customers.

- AdventureAlaska77 (2/5): I will never stay here again. Overpriced and dirty. - We did not have a good experience at the lodge. It is outdated and dirty. these are the older rooms. Not the ones that have been updated. Our air conditioner leaked to the point where the floor was soaking wet. Smelled musty. The Extra blanket had a huge hole in it. The drawer with the silverware was disgustingly dirty. The light in the refrigerator kept blinking off and on. The oven was filthy dirty. The management was very hard to get a hold of. We had a hard time even finding the office to check in. There is no signs to tell you where to check in.
- bettytwelve (4/5): Unfortunate experience - My family and I just stayed at this resort. Those that manage the coffee shop are great. Those that have taken over the lodges are not impressive. We have been coming to this resort for years and we’re disappointed in the service, cleanliness, and general friendliness. All of these things have always been great but have since fallen off. When calling the resort lodge manager she was unfriendly, didn’t return my call and the second time calling back she was full of excuses. Just sad to see a place we have loved not be the same caliber. The room we stayed in had a very musty and moldy smell. Large Stain on floor in main room in between beds, and also stepped on a piece of glass on the floor that got stuck in my foot. I know things change and we have been there when management has changed with no interruptions in great service. But as of right now we are not impressed with new managements running of the lodging or cleaning of the rooms. So disappointing to me and my family. The coffee shop is great though with great food.
- X3556RRheatherm (10/5): Cumberland Lake resort - Just spent a week at Timber Pointe Resort. It is a clean and comfortable perfect place to stay with the nicest employees around. Our room was very nice and they took excellent care of us! We had coffee every morning in their creamery and they were friendly and welcoming every time! The food they serve is excellent as well. The resort is very close to Lake Cumberland. And it wasn’t far to other attractions like zip lining and caves, etc. it was such a relaxing week! We will be back!! Loved it!

- 788hollyv (6/5): Clean but needs update - We saw this place last year and decided to give it a try. The one thing that it has going for it is its cleanliness. We took our grandson for a few days as we were renting a boat on Lake Cumberland. The prices for the rooms are very reasonable but make note you get what you Pay for!!! The beds were absolutely like sleeping on a spring that had sprung, the bedspreads and sheets and towels were certainly in need of an update. We left a day early due to terrible beds! Would be worth raising their prices and updating a bit. Food is overpriced and had been rewarmed in a microwave i am sure it would be better if they had not tried to heat the days old bread and pastries. Coffee and specialty coffees were done well! When they asked my husband gave his opinion which was not welcome, so point is don't ask customers if you don't want an honest opinion to improve upon. I would say that it ascetically looks nice and some of the family wants to be kind but like all business we can make improvements and we should certainly remember our customers are what keeps us going. We had a regular room and would like to believe that the suites are a little more comfortable.

The little coffee shop offers gourmet offerings and great food and desserts. We had a pizza that was amazing and the soup of the day, grilled sandwiches and desserts. Couldn't have asked for anything else. The staff are warm and welcoming

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice staff and convenient to the lake - The property is in a convenient location for lake activities and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the toilet paper - it is essentially useless and will stick to skin if it has any moisture on it. The rates are not cheap so spend anbextra fifty cents on legitimate toilet paper. The floor had sand on it, and while the housekeeping mopped everyday, it just moved the sand around.

There were lots of families with kids playing, and there was quiet at night. The on site coffee shop was perfect for breakfast before we took off on the road. I can imagine bringing a family for a longer stay. We had a refreshing swim, a quiet night’s sleep, and a tasty breakfast. Great for families.

Not that it was a negative just more personal choices we would have liked a few more pillows on the beds and the beds are extremely firm so if you like a firm mattress this is your place! - kooldudedad (8/5): Lodging review - This was our first visit. We were visiting friends who have a camper lot. Our first impression was very good. Homey, great check in experience, well kept camp ground, great coffee and ice cream and sundries, nice pool, quaint motel type lodges. Our room, #15 76 Falls, had a clean appearance, welcoming and comfy bed, good WiFi, nice window view. The room was small but cozy. The bathroom however left a lot to be desired. You could hardly bend over without your body touching the shower curtain. The water pressure was minimal at best and the shower was stained and well used. The toilet was small and had a broken seat. The sink was in the bedroom and was adequate with good enough lighting. I know it is expensive to remodel a bathroom and the size cannot change but a few cosmetic and necessary changes would be nice. I do realize this is a campground and do not expect the Hilton. I would definitely stay here again for all the good this place has to offer and it’s proximity to the boat launch at Jamestown Marina. Boat and vehicle parking are adequate and safe for a weekend stay. Looking forward to a return trip.

- richlee1975 (8/5): Friendly, Clean, great pool - Just passing through. Clean clean room, well decorated fridge and mic,tv. Lots of trailer sites. Pool nice. Close to marina and activities. Only downer no close restaurants. Appeared family run man at desk need us to wait for wife to get back to complete transaction. Of course we were allowed into our room as we waited for her return. Super friendly.

- maryfD7450HP (8/5): Passing through - Clean, new looking, pool great! Lacking enough toilet paper n towels for 3-4 people. Room very clean n nice. Friendly managers, beautiful grounds n lake. Beds were uncomfortable, like a bag of cement. Woke up aching. I would suggest new beds with better mattresses and the stay would have been a 10!

- Andylucia (10/5): Nice, clean room, pool and close to lake - The room was very clean and relatively large. The pool was well maintained (and nobody else used it but us). The staff was very helpful. The resort is also a very short drive from the marina where there is a bar and restaurant. All in all, happy with our stay.
- brtjb2 (10/5): Just What We Wanted - Owners were very accommodating with easy booking and check in. Cleanest pool ever. Very impressive. We stayed in the motel part, wish we owned a RV so that we could take more advantage of the facilities. This is a wonderful, quite, woodsy setting. Looking forward to our next visit.
- potockin (10/5): Impressive value and accommodating owners - I was impressed during my recent stay at Timber Pointe Resort. The owners were extremely accommodating. The office closes at 8PM CST, but they stuck around until 8:30PM until we arrived. Furthermore, when we arrived they upgraded our room, at no additional charge, so our boat parking was near our room. They also let us borrow an extension cord to charge our boat batteries. Finally, they stopped by our room to give us the name and number of a local fishing guide who we contacted us to give us some fishing tips. I will certainly come back to Timber Pointe Resort, and I give my utmost recommendation for anyone looking for a nice place to stay near Lake Cumberland.
