- Verified traveler (4/5): Perfect for Beach and Barhopping - Check-in was easy. We were in a remodeled home, so a common hallway with a few rooms. The hallway and stairs smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Admittedly, I am very sensitive to it. The room was fine. The shower was dirty and we did not shower there. We were on the second floor and there was a machine or something on all night below the bathroom that made the room vibrate/buzz. Overall this would be a perfect room for a 20- something that is spending 12 hours at the beach then bar hopping and only needs a place to sleep. This was our first night out since having kids 4 years ago and for this price, I should have done my research more. Would not stay again, but if you are looking for only a bed and a safe location, this is the place for you.
- Jennifer (10/5): - It was walking distance to everything, it had tile floors, and it had a kitchen. People were nice and helpful.
- Eduardo (4/5): - Very poor customer service. After several hours of driving, we arrived to the place, and our room was occupied by someone else. They did not comply with their checkin time policy and made us wait for more than an hour until they manage to solve the issue. No compensation was offered. No recommended at all.
- Clinton (4/5): - The distance to the beach and boardwalk was OK. The room was OK with a small TV. The water got luke warm, the drain in the tub didn't work very well(kids couldn't really take a bath), and the ventilation in the bathroom was poor. For the quantity paid for the room, I was disappointed in the quality. On top of all that, they charged my credit card the day I got there for more than what I booked in Expedia. When I got back home, I confirmed that I paid Expedia and them. I promptly called them and left a voicemail for a refund. I am still waiting for a response. I was there on 9/2/2022.

- Mike (6/5): - I did not realize the front desk closed at 6:00 pm when I booked the reservation but they were nice enough to work with me to arrange for late check in. That said, the directions to the room were not clear (it was inside an unmarked building), there were no towels for the shower, and blinds to window at street level did not fully pull down over window.
- Patricia (8/5): - Our beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean. The owner Patti helped us immediately when we had a bit of trouble with the TV. (We are older, tech challenged!) The hotel is located just a 12 minute walk to the Old Orchard Beach amusement area, where there are rides and food galore. I think the place is slowly getting a makeover with the new owners, and with a little paint and leaf blowing the porches, the outside will look as nice as the inside!

- Stanley (6/5): OK Value - Parking is very tight, and the tiny pool is located on the other side of the road and shared by another property (Marvin Gardens) owned by the same people/company. No one was in the office when we arrived around 6PM and they just left the key to the room in the door, which is more like a bedroom in a shared home with its own private bathroom attached (The shower was very nice though).
- Anna (4/5): - I enjoyed the area this lodge was in and that parking was right out front. Unfortunately, that’s about all the pros I have. The check-in was stressful as I received a call at 6pm that the staff will be leaving in a few minutes and that we must check in by then. I must mentioned that check-in was listed as 3pm-8pm! It was a good thing we were already down the street and we were able to make it on time. The room itself was not cleaned — crumbs were left on the table, shower floor felt sticky, dust all over the fan and furniture, etc. At one point, I needed an extra towel but there was no one in the office to help us. Instead there was a sign saying that staff will be on site at 2pm. Overall, I would not recommend saying at this lodge with all things considered.
- Sasha (4/5): - Noisy. Was put in the room next to the loud slamming exit door. Nothing had been done about echo. Bed was broken and quiet literally caved in. Toilet paper roll holder was broken. Could feel sand in the bed and I hadnt been to the beach.
- Leslie (8/5): - There were only two rooms on the side we had our room. The upstairs rooms accessed the building from the other side. Some of the rooms were in cabins. The room had a mini kitchenette. The pool is across the street at the other property they own. The beach is a bit of a distance but visible down the street but it was too hot to walk so we drove there. The front desk person was only there till 6 but gave us three numbers to call if we needed anything. Overall it was clean, air conditioned and had Wi-Fi and cable tv. The bed was extremely squeaky every time you sat on it or turned over but comfortable enough. We were happy to stay there for the night.

There was an infestation of spiders all over the bathroom. If this were my house i would have called an exterminator. I washed this property more then my house the 2 nights i was there. Would not recommend staying here.

They should update the mattresses and go with queen size beds rather than just double. But overall and compared to other places it was fine. We were there to attend a wedding.

Pickup trucks with broken headlights, a]eared to be broken down trucks in same drive, hous looked like something out of an old horror movie. Also this wasnt Marvin Gardens like i booked. It was Pineview- i guess thier other property across the street from which has NO pool! Poorly mirepresentation!

- Susan (6/5): First trip to OOB - We went up for a night first time going so wasn’t to sure how close it was going to be to everything. Was not a bad walk. We were across the street not near the pool. Don’t let that picture fool yeah when you are booking a room. We didn’t care because it was a little chilly out so we didn’t use the pool. The room was clean but had no place to sit outside. So ask when booking. Other then that would book again...

- david (4/5): Totally unsatisfactory - This motel should not be listed with Hotels.com - it is sub standard in construction and therefore comfort, it has very poor street appeal and as such does little to enhance Hotels.com as a booking site. In addition there was a serious drug issue on our arrival that required both police and ambulance attendance

- Jay (6/5): The case of the disappearing jeans - My wife and I loved spending our 2nd Anniversary in Old Orchard Beach. The cottage was perfect, but it could've been updated. The manager had told us prior to check in they were in the process of updating all the cottages. They only down side to our stay was unbelievably a pair of my wife jeans and a belt went missing from our cottage while we at the beach. We saw the cleaning crew enter our room as we were leaving for the beach. We searched every nook and cranny of that cottage and never found them. I went to the offfice to advise them of the situation and they said " they would look into it and mail them to us if they found them". We're not holding our breath.

- John (8/5): Great Place on the Shore - Great place if you want to be close to the beach. Nice kitchenette room with updated furnishing. Much food, entertainment and shopping nearby.
- Kassandra (10/5): Perfect spot not too far from the beach - When I booked this hotel I thought it was going to be too far from the beach but it was perfect. It was close enough to beach where it was a couple minute drive but it was also far away enough where you didn't see a lot of traffic. I thought the room I stayed in was perfect for the weekend I stayed and I loved how accommodating the staff was with any question I had. It was very easy to find off of the highway with my GPS and I thought that was another plus.
- james (2/5): closed for season, but not for bookings - Needed a room, checked hotels.com. I was planning to leave at 4am, so just needed something for a matter of hours. So, I decided to give this hotel a try. Thru hotel.com I was able to book a room only to discover, when I arrived at hotel, that the hotel was closed for the season. I cannot believe that the web site would allow for this to happen. Or, for that matter, the hotel itself !!! Neither should have had the hotel posted or accepted a booking. I called when I returned home to explain and cancel. I had to go thru 2+ customer service people, ask seeing my card info, etc. before they would confirm my cancellation and not charge my card! This site works solely for the hotels. Had the owner of this hotel decided to not allow fort my card not to be charged - I would have been- frankly- SOL. Be careful wherecand when u book. Go with the bigger chain s, they're a sure thing. I went with the Ramada, was $20-30 more, but slept well and were Definately open.

- Charles (8/5): Weekend at the beach - Unit was a small cottage. The manager, Sam, was very helpful. We lost cable because of storms and he got it reset. This place is not fancy but for the price in a beach town it served our purpose.
- Joseph (6/5): - Very nice man runs the place. The neighborhood gives you pause, the walk to the room really scared me about the quality of the room. The room was actually good. Nice shower, bed was fine - it was perfect for what I needed (a low cost place to stay for the night).
- John (6/5): Affordable at Old Orchard Beach - It was a short 20 minute ride to Portland and within walking distance of Old Orchard Beach. If you want a room to hang around in, this is probably not the place, although I liked the porch overlooking the main street. If you want a convenient location for a good price, this is it. Staff was great.
