• Marijana (10/5): "Predsednički apartmant" po pristojnoj ceni. - Osoblje je jako prijatno i predusretljivo. Soba je jako prostrana i ima dovoljno stolica da se spuste stvari, peškir, itd. Saobraćaj u Kitu počinje jako rano. Soba je imala dupla stakla, što je mnogo bolje, nego u prethodnom hostelu u kojem smo bili, ali se buka ipak čuje.

El personal se distingue por su gran amabilidad y atención cordial, haciendo la estadía más agradable. El desayuno continental es adecuado y bien servido, ideal para comenzar la jornada. Una opción acogedora para quienes desean vivir el encanto histórico de Quito con buena atención y conveniencia.

• france (8/5): - La chambre était immense, le balcon qui donne sur la place Domingo, la vue de la terrasse au déjeuner, le sentiment de sécurité Si vous choisissez une chambre qui donne sur la rue, il faut savoir que la circulation est constante, les cris aussi. Il y a plusieurs jeunes femmes installées toute la journée pour vendre leur charme juste dans les marches à côté. Les oreillers sont très inconfortables.

• Richard (10/5): - This place is a hidden gem. The location is central to all of the main sites in the Centro Historico. The facility is lovely, with lots of character. The view of the Panecilla Madonna from the dining room is spectacular. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The price was amazingly modest. Can't say enough.

The cafeteria where delicious breakfast is served on a spacious terrace looking at the hill with the statue of the Virgin El Panecillo. The host is very attentive and accommodating. I wish there was a better room options when I booked ours. Our room was clean and comfortable, but did not have windows looking at the plaza Santo Domingo.

The outside area is a bit dodgy, with ladies trying to be friends with me every time I exited the hotel. But the hotel is very close to the heritage area, though, which makes it convenient.

• Corey (10/5): - Hotel Casa Montero is a solid choice if you want to stay in the historic center of Quito. The entry courtyard is tranquil and inviting, and the beds are quite comfortable. A particular bonus was the size and functionality of the bath/shower -- really impressive! The staff was fantastic -- very kind and helpful. Overall, I had a great time here!

I ordered a room with windows in the yard. But they put me to very dark room - no view to the yard at all. Very unpleasant especially with power cuts. I had to pack my stuff in the morning with no light. Next time I would ask to change the room. The hotel would need some renovations.

• Kelly (9/5): We had a great stay! - The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the suite which was great with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. We had a great view from one of the bedroom windows, and our room was just feet from the breakfast dining area. The breakfast each day was great with a choice of eggs three ways and different fruit and juice from day to day. The hotel staff welcomed us in at the very early hour of 4:00 am, and we were able to have a good rest before beginning our first day in Quito. We really appreciated and enjoyed our stay in the suite, but the kitchen had very small and limited cookware and no kitchen utensils. We had to buy a few in order to use the kitchen. Also, the washer did not work - BUT the staff were kind enough to do our laundry for us at no charge. If you arrange for an Uber or tour with hotel pick up be aware that stopping in front of the hotel is not allowed and you will need to arrange to be picked up and dropped off elsewhere. Once we figured this out, it was no big deal.

The location was close to great food, tourist info centre and gorgeous plazas. The reception was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was great and the dining area looked out onto The Virgin of Quito. The room had EVERYTHING you needed and the bed was comfortable. In my 7 weeks of travel, I believe this was the most comfortable and grand! I can only say good things about Casa Montero

• PatrickB801 (10/5): Wonderful Stay in city centre - Stayed in January 2024. Arrived late and was welcomed with a smile. Rooms are comfortable and quiet since mine looked out into the closed inner lobby. Breakfast was great (two eggs cooked to your liking, fruit, toast with butter and jam, juice, and coffee). The breakfast room has the nicest of views. The square where the hotel is located is lovely but it does get very quiet at night. The hotel is very safe. I did step out after dark, particularly to head to a small backstreet right behind the hotel (La Ronda), which had plenty of cute restaurants. During the day, there is no issue walking anywhere. BTW, there is a metro station (San Francisco) nearby in case you are visiting places located further away (the metro felt safe). The hotel was quiet during my stay due to the bad press around visiting Ecuador but I received white glove treatment from the personnel.
