- Patrick (9/5): - Friendly staff, nice clean and comfortable accommodation.

- Andy (5/5): Cold, alarm went off no one to stop it and telly did not work promised a bit of a refund but never i - New owners just recently took over my telly did not work and the alarm went off at about 11.30 and was going off for about an hour also heating was turned down to 16 degrees at night so it was cold in the room shame really as it has fabulous reviews with the old owners
- jamie (9/5): It delivered on what was offered. Staff were great, room was spotless, no problems at all checking in. - Good size room. Very clean and comfortable Bathroom could have done with more lighting
- Helen (10/5): Wow. I'll see you next year and every year after that. - Truly, everything. From the cleanest rooms, including the bathroom, I've ever stayed in. Anywhere in the world, from 5 star to 3, this was the cleanest. There wasn't a stray hair anywhere, a dust bunny, anything! The decor, the layout, the comfort level of the furniture. It was the suite I felt most relaxed in during this visit to the UK.
Add to that the excellent level of service they gave throughout. I knew they had stairs, it's clearly stated, so had planned to reduce my luggage and only take up a little. I was on a long haul, 2 week trip and had a lot with me. However, they took every piece of that heavy luggage up for me. Then to my surprise, when I was leaving, they had advised the staff member that would be on site to listen for me so they could do the same down the stairs too. It was a lovely and much appreciated gesture.
However, it wasn't just the things that were personal to me. They don't serve meals, though breakfast is available in the breakfast room and you pick anything from the multiple options you would like. They do provide menus to the excellent restaurant a few minutes walk away, I ate there each night. The thing that really made me smile, they provide crockery and cutlery so if you choose to bring something to your room, you don't have to hope they included the flimsy plastic cutlery you begged for on your order or hope the packaging is robust enough to eat from. A thing that I often experience when I'm away.
These thoughtful touches are what makes it clear when they decided they were going to launch their business, they were going to do their absolute best to do it in a way that makes their guests as comfortable and welcome as possible.
The photos are an accurate picture of the suite.
Ultimately, all that's left to say is that I will be staying again when I'm back for my annual UK trip. Not really a "didn't like", especially since I know the area and because I had the windows open overnight but if you are sensitive to road noise you may want to see if they have a suite / room available that's not by the road. It didn't impact me but I think it's something to be aware of.

- Lee (10/5): - Clean and comfortable.
- Peter (10/5): great stay would come again 10/10 continential breakfast and room was perfect - great location , this pub does not serve food , but the Mashey arms just around the corner did excellent food , ( 2 minute walk ) this pub is also located in a very nice residential area and was safe
- Jean (10/5): Great Stay. Clean & Comfortable. Lovely breakfast choice - Great Stay. Clean & Comfortable. Lovely breakfast choice. Thanks again for returning my Ipad😀 Nothing
- Vanessa (4/5): Ver poor - It was clean Loud quiz when on till nearly 23.00. Mattress von the bed had seen better days and room was above the beer store so kept awake by the cooler going.
- Rhys (9/5): Superb -
- Kirby (9/5): Excellent place to stay - Great location for what i needed. Room was large, well appointed and well decorated. It was comfortable. The recommendation of the Masham Restaurant nearby was first class. All in all very good indeed. Easy parking too. Not much. Breakfast is continental so not a cooked one.
- Robbie (8/5): - Very comfortable
- Ian (8/5): Comfy, clean, friendly pub with rooms - Super friendly staff, good parking, spotlessly clean throughout, lovely cold breakfast with extensive choices, i would definitely return (went to watch my local team play Stockton Town FC which was a pleasant 25 min walk from the pub). Only bit I scored down was no coffee available in bar (but coffee and tea making facilities in own room, and hot drinks available at brekkie), and pub open only 4-11pm, with no food. However all this is clearly mentioned on booking website, if I'd read it properly! And they signpost guests to nearby pub The Masham for food, which was a few moments walk away and very nice.
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Very happy to stay at the Stockton Arms again - The owners have really gone out of their way to make your stay comfortable There was nothing to dislike
- David (10/5): A lovely place to relax - You can not fault the hotel it’s impeccably clean the rooms are lovely and large the decoration is immaculate the owners have really made sure every thing is tailored for you to enjoy your stay, it’s perfect, a walk down stairs into a nice warm quite large comfortable pub with log fires burning again perfect, staff are very friendly and well coming , no restaurant but a few minutes walk away is a excellent restaurant and very reasonably priced, Not often you can say this but I can highly recommend the Stockton arms for
your stay in this area Nothing it was perfect
- JANE (6/5): contents in room not as advertised. - we understood on booking that water bottle was supplied in the room and breakfast available.
Neither of these evident on check in.
only for a call to the guest from ourselves to ensure they were ok was this issue identified.
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - I have stayed here before and therefore if I have gone back it must be OK. I went for the Junior Studio which was lovely and spacious. Very smart and clean and well decorated. The breakfast whilst self service was great. Cereals, cakes, toast, fruit, yoghurts, fruit drinks, cheese. I was impressed that on the first day one of the radiators in the room (there were two radiators) and the towel rail wasn't working but they had put an electric heater in the room. The next day the heater was gone but the heating had been fixed. Nothing.
- Calum (8/5): Very good - Large room with all one could need. Heating broke down on day 2. Staff were very accommodating though.
- Nick (10/5): Yes I would stay over again - Comfortable furnishings easy access
- Graham (6/5): Very neat and tidy rooms - Good size room and shower room. Well appointed and comfortable bed. Nice selection of cold food for continental breakfast. Pub was great, helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately no access before 4pm and then couldnt get through outer door on my late night return. Stuck through swelling but was sorted by phone. Unfortunately not before id had to find another hotel room and organised an Uber to get me there. So out of pocket by £5 No staff in the morning or on site at night.
- Tony (7/5): Good - Just OK heating was turned off after midnight
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (5/5): Satisfactory -
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (10/5): Brilliant staff, in a great place, offering great value for money 🫶 - Perfect facilities in the right location 😁 Just great value for money
- Jean (10/5): Home from home - Great stay again whilst visiting friends. Love the breakfast selection. Staff very helpful organising my taxi.
- jakub (4/5): Could have been cleaner. - Location was convenient for me but the room could have been cleaner.
- Andy (10/5): Clean, comfy , - Breakfast was great , healthy instead if a fry up. Shame you didnt do hot snacks like pannini or toasties
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff
Comfortable clean room
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- M (8/5): Very good -
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marilyn (5/5): I wouldn't stay here again. Rooms need upgrading. - The humourous quotes in the breakfast room. I only came into contact with one other person the whole time I was there, apart from the staff member who let me in and showed me up to my room. The room was tired and dated, and in need of modernisation. The place was crammed full of ornaments and pictures. It was like visiting a retired old aunt's house. I had just come from the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesbrough. I only chose the Stockkton Arms because one of the reviews said it was better than most 4 stars. I don't know what four star hotel the reviewer has stayed at, but as a frequent business traveller, this is stretching the truth.
- Jean (10/5): Nice & Quiet hotel - Great place - ideal for visiting my friends in the area.
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not good - I did have issues here I reported them to the hotel. They were very apologetic. Wouldn’t be looking to book any time in the future.
- Paul (6/5): Disappointing for the money - Breakfast was OK for continental - room was tiny & could hardy stand in the shower leave alone sit on the loo!!
- Jansen (3/5): This would be totally over priced for what you get / breakfast laughable / - Good location Tacky , old , terrible mattress , over rated , money wasted
- Andrew (10/5): High end rooms, very good value on the food and breakfast there was a large choice. - Large rooms , spotlessly clean great atmosphere at the pub along with outstanding food. Nothing
- Iain (8/5): Great staff, surprisingly quite (above pub), a good stop off for work - There was little on offer for food intolerance. I always prefer a cooked breakfast, but I knew about the continental when I booked which was a good offer.
- Margaret (5/5): Passable - Clean and comfortable Orange juice at breakfast was off. Kettle been boiled dry therefore hot drinks tasted peculiar.
- Nick (6/5): - This property delivered exactly what I expected - no more and no less.
- Selina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anthony (10/5): Lovely room, excellent staff - Comfortable, very clean, welcoming Nothing
- Richard (9/5): Lovely stay with really welcoming staff. Would definitely stay here again. - Great Pub with Lovely Rooms Not a lot really
- Carne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Ahmed (9/5): Superb -
- N (8/5): - Really nice room above a quiet pub,
excellent breakfast selection.
Places to walk and run straight from the door.
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (10/5): Excellent stay - Mattress was hard but the room was amazing. Very clean, comfortable, maintained well.
- Dale (8/5): Very good -
- Derek (10/5): Decent hotel - Nice small hotel, room was a bit cold tilm the heating kicked in, clean rooms . Comfortable bed. Would stay again .
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (5/5): Passable - i left after an hour you could hear the TVs and conversations from the pub in the room, shower was very old and weak,
- Kevin (10/5): excellent stay. I have already recommended it to my customers and I would certainly stay again. - The breakfast was varied and fresh. Plentiful and delicious. The location was perfect for me. The gentleman who was on duty looked after me with my room and at the bar. Nothing as far as I was concerned.
- Elle (6/5): ok stay for 1 night - good location, close to where I needed to be. Slightly dated, a few lumpy pillows, complimentary continental breakfast stale.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): Nice - No Everything good
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phil (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff and clientele, good room , continental breakfast suited me ( just took a croissant and 2 cereal bars to work with me) Nothing really, all good 👍
- James (10/5): Little gem - I never sleep well on the first night away in a hotel, but I slept like a baby here. I found everything to be clean, well laid out and comfortable. The owners were warm and amiable when I arrived, and I really appreciated the laid back approach to breakfast and check-out. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be sure to look them back up.
- Matt (5/5): Passable - The guy at bar was really really really friendly and such a nice person . Rooms big toon No toilet rolls 🤣 .
- Nigel (9/5): An excellent location, great room and a very pleasant stay - The location was great and the room was clean and had everything I needed for the 1 night stay.
Breakfast was buffet style and was good....it was unstaffed, so there was nothing hot, but there was plenty to choose from and there was even non-dairy milk in the fridge if you wanted it. Nothing.
- Terry (8/5): I enjoyed it I had a good sleep the beds where fine - It was a continental breakfast and apart any meat ie ham it was great
- Ian (10/5): Great place to stay - Staff were really friendly and helpful. I thought it was strange having a self-service breakfast room at first, but it was really well stocked with a vast choice of food. The whole place was spotlessly clean too My bed in room 4 was a little bit firm, but this is a subjective thing
- Mark (8/5): Ok but no big shakes - Basic help yourself no hot food
- Kevin (7/5): Comfortable - Breakfast was a self service continental. It was very good with plenty of choice. TV was not working. Fortunately I had a book to read.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Aaron (8/5): Great hotel, would stay again - Breakfast was very good
Room was very clean and spacious with plenty of amenities including iron and hairdryer Bathroom was a little dark, one of the lights didn't work
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (8/5): Stay again - Clean and comfortable. Don’t serve food but guide you to the Masham 50 metres away which serves amazing food.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Breakfast had a good choice for a continental style. Bar opening and closing times.
- Claire (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was self service and available from 6 - which is great for a business traveller. There was a great choice of breads, crumpets, spreads, jams, marmite, peanut butter, cheeses, fruit, cereal, cereal bars, juice, teas and coffees. No evening meal but this was made very clear at time of booking and the restaurant they recommended was excellent. Nothing else about the stay was troublesome!
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and well looked after - beakfast was continental but lots of choice All good
- Anthony (8/5): Comfortable - Breakfast was ideal. Nothing.
- David (7/5): Good - well presented room, however very disappointed in breakfast as only established after eating out of date items from fridge, and on checking the fridge again found more out of date items as far back as Feb 2023 have pics to show Bed a little hard, but really breakfast let stay down,
- Ged (1/5): Booked another hotel - I arrived at the 'hotel' and couldn't gain access as the pub didn't open until 4pm. The whole appearance was a disappointment. In fact, I didn't stay at the hotel and found an alternative.
- Sid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johannus (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was self service but reasonable choices of cold items
- kevin (8/5): - Business stay for one night, clean and quiet.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - The rooms at the Stockton Arms Hotel are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are also clean and well-appointed with plenty of hot water and good water pressure.
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- michael (10/5): - Excellent
- Lyn (10/5): A+++ - Very welcoming on arrival. Room was lovely. great selection for breakfast (not a cooked breakfast). Nowhere to eat on site but a lovely pub locally was recommended by the bar staff.
