• Robert (3/5): Management needs to remodel this place completely - Staff was friendly, location was decent. No bugs, I guess This place is old and empty and sad. The exterior is deceptively modern - I felt like I stepped 30 years into the past when I walked in my room, like a motel that’s allowed smoking for decades and hasn’t been updated in just as long. Yellow walls, bathroom caked with soap scum and metals from the water, stained lampshades - just look at my photos! This is not a cleaning problem, this is a management leaving this place to rot problem. Remodel the rooms! Replace the ancient, stained accents! I’m shocked I spent over 300k for this, more expensive than most places I stayed in Java and by far the worst. Also, the WiFi was abysmal.

• Tobias (5/5): Passable - Really friendly and welcoming staff, pretty decent Restaurant with Indonesian and international options, crispy Fries and they deliver the food up to the room. Great Coffee which you can get 24h, would recommend trying the java Latte it was one of my best coffees in java. Breakfast has only Indonesian options and fruits and was okay for the price. Sadly our bathroom was not too clean and the worst was the really strong sewer smell coming out of the shower drain in addition to small sewer flies coming out of there as well. We asked the staff about it and they cleaned it but the smell and the Flies came back after a few hours. We had two other rooms booked for the rest of the Family which didnt had such a strong smell. In hindsight we should have just asked for another room right away maybe then the stay would have been more pleasant. Small stains on the sheets too but they seemed like old stains that didnt wash out.

• Bpai (7/5): Quiet, clean and comfortable, if you don't mind a smoking room and small issues - Quiet room (so rare in Indonesia). Good location, walking distance to the train station and Malioboro, with an Indomaret nearby. Comfortable, enough plugs for laptop/phone. Good WiFi. Smoking room, although I specifically asked for non-smoking. They do good cleaning, but smoke got into everything, so it feels a bit stuffy. Weak aircon, it works almost ok but I'm still sweating during the day, and the unit shuts down occasionally. No water in the bathroom at one point, black water when it came back, sink doesn't drain. All relatively small issues, not deal-breakers.
