The host was horrible. The temperatures were 37degrees and there was no AC. The loungers by the pool are stinky and torn. There s an exposed stinky sewer pipe by the dining area. Bad Bad Bad!

• Koketso (4/5): Disappointing - A lady who was serving dinner on the 30th September 2024 was rude. We were not informed that we had no options to choose from. She brought out pork ribs and chips. They chips were old and cold. They were microwaved. The ribs were horrible...store bought marinated ribs. We asked to be served fresh chips atleast and she said it's impossible to do so! Ended up leaving to go get food elsewhere

• Liesl (8/5): Very good - The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Beautiful location, but the squatter camps on the road to the estate were a bit concerning. Although no incidents. The bath drain was blocked, but I at least could use the bath in the next room.
• Kumeshrie (2/5): Pathetic, I won't recommend anyone staying there - Only the view was good. No sanitary packet in sanitary box. The jacuzzi had a sewage smell in it, even the water. I saw a cockroach in the toilet. None of the switches worked to charge the phones. You must park your vehicle on the road and walk downstairs. The bar is the reception area. The sheet had blood stains on it.

• Gamuchirai (4/5): Disappointing - The view of the dam was nice and the convenience of getting a boat cruise The property is not well maintained. It has so many broken, old and rusted things. The rooms don’t have air circulation, the bathroom doesn’t even have a window or an extractor fan. The jacuzzi doesn’t work it’s just noisy. With loadshedding, there was no alternative power and had no power for the most part of the stay without aircons and it was boiling hot. Reception area upstairs was very dirty and unattended. We had to wait and go around to get help to check in on arrival. The lawn was not trimmed. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY CHARGED!

• Monika (5/5): Ok for a 1 night stay - Amazing view. Jacuzzi bath was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable. We didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that. Mould on the cieling. Stained towels. Aircon wasn't working. Outdated information booklet in the room. Bugs in the bathroom. Place needs maintenance and serious upkeep.
• Amanda (8/5): Very good - The spa bath was lovely. Jeanette was super friendly and nice. The breakfast was very well prepared and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The girl that checked us in wasn't very helpful or that friendly or providing much info. No milk or water in the fridge as said there would be. Got 2 passwords for wifi but none worked, kept saying invalid password. Not letting us know when is loadshedding time schedules.

The room was devine n clean we enjoyed our stay.They even went all out the cleaning staff to make my wife's birthday a memorable one. The receptionist everything we asked she didn't know we had to drive at night just for a mere corkscrew and we don't know the place. If it was pinky on duty that time we couldn't struggle for such a small thing.

• Lerato (5/5): Passable - Upon arrival the lady at reception was very nice, gave us a warm welcome. Our room was cleaned by Grace and she was just so amazing because she was friendly, asked if we needed anything and in the morning she was the one serving breakfast, she was quick and friendly. One more thing we loved was the good views from the room and how close the guest house was from everything. Firstly the building is too old, needs a lot of modernizing or if not modernizing because it's possible they kept it like it is for a reason then they probably need to maintain it. When we walked in to the room it was smelling so bad, like the carpets hadn't been washed in a while, the air con that came with the room was not doing anything except make loud noises which explains why they put a fan in the room as well but the fan was also loud and kept on falling. The parking space for the car, my man wasn't pleased about it because it's just outside with no shade, if it rains harder the car might get damaged. Last but most certainly not least on our second morning we went for breakfast, served by a lady whose name we didn't get. She was only meant to serve three tables but we waited for an hour and a half without even a cup of coffee or tea, we had to go back to our room to make ourselves coffee. She took our orders and apparently left without notice because everyone was looking for her.

• Kananelo (5/5): Good location for a short weekend away from the city. - The guesthouse is in an estate so it is fairly safe. It’s close to the dam so there’s a nice view of the dam. There’s mould in the bathroom. The used towels were not replaced but rather left to air dry on the bathroom door. The pictures of the room we chose were of a different room. The pool wasn’t kept clean and so not inviting to actually get in and swim. The kitchen staff was slow for breakfast and we received our food cold. There isn’t covered parking.

• David (9/5): Beautiful guest house, perfect for a romantic weekend away with stunning views of the dam. - The view from our room was absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and we had particularly excellent service from Jeanette, she is amazing and makes the stay there so pleasant. The inclusive breakfast every morning was always well presented and made sure we had a great kick start to the day. The only minor disappointment was that we were not able to connect to the wifi from our room.

Our room door was not locking , reported it but it didn't get fixed the whole stay.....the table on our patio was really dirty it's like no1 had used it for a long time....

The stuff was very friendly and professional Location is perfect and closer to entertainment activities, restaurant and shopping centre for convinience. We had the greatest time ever and we wouldn't mind to come back in the near future. The TV was not working, we missed out on the Rugby World cup final. It was shocking to probably realise that the Keys of the other Guests rooms are able to open any other guest rooms, when a couple who arrived on Saturday evening unlocked and oppened our door with the purpose of moving in.

There is no restaurant or bar on site and you gave to drive out to get food. There was mo shower but if you are a bath person the jacuzzi tub is Devine.

• Chama (4/5): Decent view, disappointing stay - Detail: I don't normally leave reviews but if I can help someone out, I hope this is it. Make sure to CALL BEFORE you book online and confirm if there is water. It is a basic human need but yeah, no water in the area during our 3 days there. It ruined the weekend but the staff could not do much. Fault should be placed on the owners to make sufficient back up plans for their Paying staff. Room: We stayed in their honeymoon suite and i can vouch for the view, its amazing, the property sits on a hillside overlooking the dam, so pleasant view and decent manicured lawn, but that along with the friendly staff is where the positives end. Facilities: The property does need a lot of maintenance, could be mistaken for an intentional raustic look, but no, its just old. The walk to the room is through a musty dusty attic type setup and can get very stuffy as air does not circulate. The room has old furniture and the suite has two single beds combined as opposed to a Queen or King (not very romantic). Dstv worked, could watch the EPL and aircon was ok (would suggest closing windows early before insects get in). Cleanliness: The pool was also dirty, given the lack of water, clean pool water could have helped but nope, thats not properly maintained either. During our stay the room was cleaned and I assume towels changed. Safety: Estate appear safe (you get put off by the shacks along street along route to estate) In summary call to make sure there is water!
