- Martijn (8/5): - Freddies locatie is echt top. Net buiten kota sabang! En heerlijk aan het strand, met een prachtig uitzicht op de zonsopgang. De kamer is ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Let op, je moet wel goed ter been zijn! De mensen die er werken zijn heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was goed, maar voor het avond eten vonden wij het toch een beetje tegenvallen en minder goed dan verwacht.
- Sannah (8/5): Uitstekende accommodatie met zeer vriendelijk personeel! - Het personeel is echt enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Daarnaast zat onze accommodatie op een geweldige plek aan zee. De kamer werd elke dag schoongemaakt en we kregen elke dag nieuwe handdoeken. Zeer hygiënisch. Het was lastig om de kamer koel te krijgen waardoor het ‘s avonds en ‘s nachts vaak koeler buiten was dan binnen. Uiteindelijk wen je daar ook wel weer aan!

- Michael (9/5): A perfect location for a get away from it all break - We stayed at Freddie's Villas, one of many properties bearing the name on Pulau Weh. It consists of 5 separate Villas, all with steps leading down to a small beach. The Villa was a perfect size for our family of four (two teens) with a well fitted kitchen and a balcony that overlooked the small beach and the sea. When we arrived we were met by Freddie himself and he is the perfect host, he would come to see us at breakfast and was on hand to recommend trips and travel around the island. The onsite office/kitchen offers a nice freshly cooked breakfast and a small store where you can buy essentials for your stay - snacks, drinks etc. If you need anything else, there is a shopping list in each room that allows you to order them. Lunch and dinner can be ordered and is bought in from another site. The beach is small, but at high tide you can step straight into the sea from the steps and snorkel - there is an abundance of colourful fish for you to view. Turtles have been spotted but sadly we didn't see them. At low tide, there are rock pools which contain different small marine life. The staff at Freddie's Villa's were very friendly and welcoming and were always on hand to help out. Freddie arranged a tuktuk to take us around the island, which included a trip to the volcano, a waterfall and to find places to eat in Sabang. If you are able, request the services of Mr Happy - a very friendly and knowledgeable TukTuk driver who was our guide for most of our stay. If you are looking for a quiet 'escape from it all' location with beautiful views and a short drive to places to eat, we can highly recommend Freddie's Villas. Being really picky, but my wife and I found the beds to be very hard in the Villa which made sleeping a little difficult. This is just our opinion and others may not find them that bad.

- Michael (10/5): Perfect place to recharge in amazing surroundings. - We stayed in Freddie’s villas which are a kilometre down the road from the main resort. The location is amazing. The villas are surrounded by beautifully tended gardens, the sea is turquoise blue and the snorkelling, just in front of the villa, is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Excellent value for money. Some cushions or bean bags in the seating area would make it more comfortable.

- John (10/5): Perfect private getaway, get ready to completely relax 😁 - Four 2 story villas with direct access to the beach. Heavenly views, private beach, what an ideal spot, so relaxing, gives a honeymoon getaway type of vibe. We rented some motorbikes and zipped around the island. No air con however very strong fans and a constant breeze from the sea kept the villa cool.

Oli myös mukavaa, kun omistaja itse tuli paikanpäälle tervehtimään ja hänen kauttaan saatiin hienosti järjestettyä mm retkiä. Hotellin ranta näin alkuvuodesta oli aika tuulinen ja siellä oli paljon korallia, joten uiminen ei tässä rannassa oikein onnistunut. Tyynellä säällä toki onnistuisi.
- viajero35 (7/5): Disapointment..Both island and the accomodation - Location, view, helpfull staff .Laundry service very good. At first we booked villas thought they were at the main place. After we figured out villas are 2,5 km away from main complex and isolated, despite it was a nonrefundable reservation . At booking page there is no notification/warning for costumers about villa's location.Fredy was kind to cancel it and we booked a place from sea side at main complex. But this time the room was so dark, dull, very ragged depresive. Staff was so kind to move us for other room which was more clean, comfortable but this room was avaliable for 3 days. Than for remaning 4 days instead of returning first room according to avaliabilty we moved another bungolaw whichwas better than 1st room and worse than 2nd room. Whole place need maintainance and repair. Restaurants table are sticky from dirt. There are many staff but tidyness or cleaning condition is quite weak. Food was just ok. Unfortunatelly you have no more choice either this resturant or casa de nemo near by ( which is much better in many ways). We stayed 8 nights 9 days and during our stay sea was always wavy. This island governs by seria rules. So there is restiriction you can wear swimming costumes only and just front of your hotel beach . Hotel was full with muslim guest and i havent seem any women swim. So this culturel and religious aproach makes you reluctant for swimming as well. After all we have decided weh island is not really a place you can fit if you are not muslim. And bungolaws of course they are adjoining structures make every voice and even moves hearable by your neighbour bungalows.

Ich hatte als Einzelreisende ein Familienzimmer mit Doppelbett und Etagenbett. Da es nur dünne Vorhänge gab und die ganze Nacht die Außenbeleuchtung brannte, war es mir nachts etwas zu hell im Zimmer.

Some of the staff are not professional causing me to wait 1 hour before could check out. The food was expensive and not freshly cook. The bed and pillow was hard. The toilet was not clean. The balcony was closed up so unable to fully enjoy the beachfront atmosphere.

- Michael (7/5): A formerly beautiful environment hammered by human indifference. - Spacious room overlooking the Malacca Strait with with all its boats and ships of various shapes and sizes. Enjoyed the food and excellent service provided by the staff at the Restaurant. Water dispensers were not available for guests to refill water containers. Guests must buy bottled water which ultimately compounds the horrific waste problems scarring the natural environment. There is no obvious recycling system. The beach, the sea, and surrounds are littered with human detritus.

The deck sitting isn’t the most comfortable. The room we had had an outside light that stays on all night and is quite bright.

Ein angeketteter Adler im Garten hat uns dann noch den Rest gegeben und wir sind nach einer Stunde direkt wieder abgereist. Seit der Buchung bei Freddies habe ich schon 3x Spam-Nachrichten per Whatsapp erhalten mit meinem Namen und den Buchungsdaten. Anscheinend gibt es im Hotelnetzwerk auch ein Datenleck, was mich bei dieser Belegschaft nicht überracht.

And on our last day 14/9/2025 our 3 rooms no water supply as we all rush need to bath and check out for ferry accommodation.6am no one at the receptionist we got no clue how to get help to fix the water supply issue. Other than that everything is great!

- Nadiah (1/5): - Beachfront The information is misleading. This villa is not at Sumurtiga. It’s at different premises and nearby Ujung kareung.. No restaurant, you have to order the food from main premises at Freddies sumurtiga. The villa is dirty. The cutleries provided are rusty. Kitchen sink dirty and goey. Once, the tiles at kitchen countertop fell off, landed on my foot. The staff did not say sorry at all. Beach at sumurtiga is better compared to the beach at the front villa. The staff is not friendly at all. Charge me IDR150000 for missing glass. I broke one plate, because i didnt realize it was a plastic and not microwave friendly, the plate was melted. Surprisingly the receptionist at the main hotel sumurtiga is very friendly. They even suggest to change our room at the main premises since we are not happy at the villa. They help me to check for availability but unfortunately no room available for 5days stay. How we wish our stay could’ve been better, if we stay at the main freddies.

- stefano (9/5): - Freddie (propietario)è stato molto gentile: abbiamo avuto un problema che ha ritardato il nostro arrivo di un paio di giorni e ha cancellato due notti senza addebitarle. Il posto ha una spiaggia praticamente privata (piccolina) con un bel giardino di coralli. Dovendo migliorare qualcosa, metterei l' aria condizionata nei bungalow al posto del ventilatore
- Tyler (10/5): - We loved our stay at Freddie's! We came here on our honeymoon, and it was amazing. We got in earlier than check-in time and planned on hanging out at the restaurant until check-in time. While eating (the delicious food and coffee), Freddie came up to us and congratulated us and told us he would get us into our villa early and even invited us into his private residence to wait comfortably (which is gorgeous). The villa itself was beautiful and right on the beach. There is a mini mart on the premises that has everything you might need. While staying at the villa, you can order food and get it delivered, and it's still hot! We received a delicious breakfast every day. The staff are absolutely awesome. My husband made good friends with them, and we were invited to a BBQ and other activities with them, where they showed us the local culture and food. The beach is perfect for snorkeling! There is so much beautiful sea life right outside the villa. We rented a motorbike and drove around the island to explore outside of the villa as well. Freddie helped us set up a taxi to get back to the port and was up bright and early with us to wish us goodbye. Highly recommend staying here! :)
- Lanuza (9/5): Un pequeño paraíso! - La cercanía y las vistas a la playa son lo mejor del freedis. El snorkel está muy bien, vimos 2 tortugas!! El personal te pone todo muy fácil y siempre te brindan su ayuda para cualquier cosa como alquilar motos, aletas y traer comida de donde sea. La casa es amplia y bonita. La habitación de litera es calurosa y los ventiladores, que no son de techo, hacen mucho ruido. Las jaulas de pájaros de decoración me dieron mucha pena.

- Edwin (8/5): Fantastic experience, Loitering staff - The location is excellent, a beautiful, quiet beach where you can also enjoy great snorkeling. We stayed in the newly built building across the road (without a sea view). The hotel offers scooter and snorkel rentals, and the laundry service is very good. The rooms are spacious with a clean bathroom. The restaurant and seaside facilities are also well maintained and provide a fantastic view. The staff at the reception there are very friendly and helpful. The doors to the outside from the rooms (new deluxe building) are quite noisy, especially since the staff at this reception desk tend to hang around there all day. It feels like a break area, often with loud conversations. They also spend a lot of time on their phones, watching videos or video calling at high volume, even late at night or very early in the morning. This doesn’t match the fantastic stay we had here or the potential luxury experience this location could otherwise offer.

- A.A. (9/5): - Locatie, gelegen aan wit strand met palmbomen, is niet overal zó mooi als hier. Er is veel te kiezen in het restaurant is hygiënisch en het eten is van goede kwaliteit, prima porties, prima prijs. De sfeer is gemoedelijk, al het personeel behulpzaam. Ze regelden zonder toeslag even een ticket voor de boot en een gedeelde taxi naar de haven. Top! Als je een heel idylische pkek zoekt vind je het hier misschien te druk (meer dan 10 bungalows). Wij vonden het gezellig.
- Folkert (9/5): Prettig verblijf gehad - Personeel, locatie en restaurant en de prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Bedden waren behoorlijk hard. Dit hadden we echter wel verwacht want tot op heden hebben wij dat altijd ervaren in Azië. Als verbeterpunt heb ik nog als tip om aan beide kanten van het bed een stopcontact te realiseren.

Je valt in slaap met het geluid van de zee en je wordt gewekt door de meest mooie zonsopkomsten. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en regelen alles voor je. Scooter, boot, chauffeur, noem het maar op. De wifi viel geregeld weg of was zwak.

- Elwinne (5/5): Pas terrible - Le lit était vraiment confortable et la climatisation fonctionnait parfaitement, ce qui a rendu le séjour agréable sur ce point. En revanche, la propreté laissait à désirer : la salle de bain avait de la moisissure et l’ensemble manquait d’entretien. De plus, les photos publiées ne correspondaient pas tout à fait à la réalité. Ce serait aussi pratique d’avoir des prises électriques près du lit. Dommage, car avec quelques améliorations, l’hôtel pourrait être bien plus agréable.

Ver, friendly staff ...All invlusive style 😀 Rooms are a bit warm...but with 2 fans its working out. Bathroom could be cleaner...but its not the newest and overall its good!

- Marlijn (3/5): Erg slecht… - De locatie Eigenlijk was het een grote teleurstelling want ons ‘hokje’ was erg simpel. De douche is hoognodig aan vervanging toe en het middel waarmee ze schoonmaken stinkt heel erg. Het restaurant serveert eten waarvan ik direct ontzettend ziek van ben geworden. Ik snap niet waarom deze plek zulke goede reviews krijgt want ik hoorde van het verblijf iets verderop dat ze aan de lopende band ontevreden mensen hebben van hen. Ik heb nog geprobeerd elders te boeken maar dat is niet gelukt. Het personeel is overal aan het roken. De moskee geeft voor ons ook overlast. 4 keer per dag hard gezang (ook om 5 uur ‘s ochtends) is niet fijn.

- Patrick (10/5): Freddies ist der Innbegriff für fantastische Ferien auf einer traumhaft schönen Insel - herrliches Zimmer mit fantastischem Blick an einem Traumstrand, der zum Schnorcheln einlädt zudem unglaublich nettes Personal und gutes Essen
- Tiziana (8/5): Bel bungalow vista mare con terrazza (ventilatore più che sufficiente) - Il bungalow vista mare A9 ove ho soggiornato in queste prime due notti molto carino, bellissima terrazza, con ventilatore. Mi è piaciuto molto. Non posso dire lo stesso della soluzione in cui mi hanno messo per i giorno successivi, ovvero la family room vista mare B10, che sebbene spaziosa non mi è piaciuta, avendo un balcone chiuso da vetrate ed angusto ed essendo piuttosto buia. Bella la parte sulla destra della spiaggia spostandosi da davanti la struttura. Mare antistante la spiaggia ricco di pesci, purtroppo però la barriera è ormai tutta grigia, nessun corallo colorato, sembra quasi stare morendo. La spiaggia di fronte alla struttura è poco piacevole vista la grande affluenza di visitatori esterni che possono accedere per fare foto o soggiornare, passando dalla struttura a cui e totalmente permesso l'accesso ad estranei, cosa non gradevole. Inoltre vi sono molti tubi di scarico che provengono dalle camere e dal ristorante che scaricano direttamente sulla parte di spiaggia antistante la struttura, acque quindi di dubbia origine,

Als je betaalt wordt je hier ontzorgd; anorkeltour, eiland tour, taxi’s, alcohol, taxi’s erc Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam Faciliteiten villa soms net niet in orde; douche kapot, parasol, maar hier wordt direct actie op ondernomen. Een verzameling vogels in kooitjes zorgen voor se wekker s ochtends
- Benedicte (10/5): Étape avant le bateau matinal - La qualité du service, l'office s'occupe de réserver le taxi, d'acheter les billets du bateau. C'est facile et une surtaxe extrêmement faible. Pour le taxi, ça évite des prix touriste ! Ils vous portent aussi vos valises, c'est très agréable. La qualité du restaurant pourrait être meilleure mais c'est tout de même bien.
