Guest Reviews
- Babalwa Dwayi (10/5): - The room was clean, and they changed the linen and towels the following day we slept there. I also appreciate the patience of the lady running the place. Due to unavoidable circumstances, we couldn't make it at the agreed check-in time; we were two hours late. But shame, we find her waiting for us. I would suggest they invest in their water reservoir, because municipal water is not reliable. We couldn't take a shower when we needed because there was no water in the area. This got us delayed on our planned activities since we had to wait until the water was back.

- Funeka (10/5): - Very clean, spacious and beautiful rooms, great location, breakfast was great, friendly staff Host took long to respond on my request of arriving late. Eventually she responded and made us feel welcome
- Barry (8/5): - Spacious Bathroom exposed
- Govender (7/5): - Room were spacious and neat. Lounge and open area were ample and neat
Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful during breakfast. Stairs to rooms to carry heavy luggage. No porter assistance.
- Vuyiseka (10/5): - Loved the esthetics and peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

- John (10/5): A nice surprise in Knysna - A modern, neat and clean guesthouse. Very nice, well appointed large rooms, each with private deck. The facility is modern, well decorated, and maintained. Lovely lounge and pool areas. Good breakfast included. Great staff also. The location is a little far from the closest restaurants for walking at night. However taxis are readily available in the area, with minimal wait time, if you prefer not to drive or walk.

- Mihlali (10/5): A wonderful stay with excellent service, comfortable rooms, and amazing breakfast. - We absolutely loved our stay! The room was spotless, super comfortable, and the breakfast went above all expectations. The staff were amazing and so accommodating; they even switched off the aircon when it was a bit too loud so my partner could focus on an important interview. Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. The only tiny thing was that we couldn’t leave the window open because of the monkeys in the area, and it got quite warm as its summer days - but that’s not the staff’s/property's fault at all.
- Mark (10/5): Overal excellent accommodation - Size of room Limited breakfast
- Ikanyeng (10/5): It was superb - Everything Nothing
- Philippe (10/5): -
- Thomas (5/5): War okay aber nicht toll - Die Lage war schön. Die Zimmer geräumig Die Zimmer abgewohnt und nicht alles hat funktioniert
- Kay (5/5): It was great stay, close to the Waterfront. - Location Shower switch goes either extremely cold or hot. No wine glasses in the room and the toilet is too high. We had to ask for a hair dryer.

- Kebonang (10/5): Beautiful - The host was very friendly, the rooms were very clean and the place secure and quite. Couldn't ask for more
- Gunther (8/5): Tucked away a comfortable haven of calm a stone's throw from 'downtown' Knysna - Guest numbers (or lack of) favoured us, having the property to ourselves for the duration of our stay which was both enjoyable yet slightly unsettling. The property Manager Chrissie was delightful and very amenable and her associate Nicky, equally charming and helpful provided a very satisfying daily breakfast.
Rooms are very generously sized and beds very comfortable with quality cotton bed linen making for a
Good nights' sleep.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay but property is in need
Of an update and refresh. Would nevertheless happily return to 47th Though wholesome and nicely presented breakfast did
Become a little samey. Would have welcomed some fresh fruit

- Hassed (8/5): Comfortable stay - The place was well furnished and clean. Certain light bulbs were not working resulting in the rooms being too dim. The breakfast could have been better but i do realise it was 1st Jan and therefore the shops may not have been open
- RAJU (9/5): Breakfast can be changed, same kind of breakfast is being served everyday - Great 2 adults and a child below 12 can be accommodated without booking an extra room.
- Natasha (10/5): Our stay to relax ☺️ - We loved the spacious room, the pool was a blessing in the heat and breakfast. Breakfast was just perfect. The bedding is top notch. Our host Christee was awesome and very accommodating. The TV should be smart TV to allow us to log in to our own Netflix, Disney Channel's. The DSTV package is very basic.

- Mmaboshadi (7/5): An okay B&B, but no sea views. - Chrissie and the ladies were very professional and hospitable. Beds are comfortable. That guests can use the microwave. The fact that one can jog in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood with beautiful lush greenery. They should have cushions for the stretch beds by the pool.
No cereal for breakfast, only cooked breakfast available.
TV is not a smart TV.
There is no still water available in the rooms.

- wium (10/5): -
- sydney hayes (5/5): It was adequate - Kitchen staff very friendly and efficient Mildew in the shower
Water dripping out of aircon onto carpet in room
Room lighting not good
Burn mark on blanket
Outside tiles slippery when wet

- Emily (10/5): 3 nights spent at 47th on Howard - I really liked how the location was close to most of the tourist attractions. I loved the friendly and welcoming staff. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was the best😊 The pool was clean. I would definitely book the same accomodation if I were to visit Knysna again😀
- Kohl (9/5): -
- Chien-Hao (10/5): - Comfortable bedding
Large rooms
- Phumeza (9/5): -
- Nelisa (5/5): Our stay was good and we enjoyed ourselves. - The breakfast and location were good. Our room was dirty and the toilet had a bad smell. My friend has a reaction on something to a point that she had red dots on the thighs.
- michael (9/5): - Good size room good bathroom good breakfast
- Marlies (8/5): - Guter Service,sehr geräumig und gepflegt!
- Annerie (9/5): -
- Carin (10/5): - Beautiful home, nestled away from the hustle and bustle of town centre. Comfortable beds. Really decent towels which are always a bonus. A warm reception from the landlady. Truely home away from home. Photos actually don't do it justice. Even more beautiful. We will be back for sure.😍 Nothing we could fault.
- Aneli (10/5): -
- Gloria (8/5): Amazing stay felt like home loved it - The place is beautiful and clean,
Room service is done religiously without fail it feels like u just checked in everyday.
The host Christie was very helpful and friendly
The ladies were friendly and always serving with a smile. Breakfast could be better, one gets tired of eating same thing for five days
I think they need some variety
- Puella (10/5): - I liked everything about the property, the rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The staff is welcoming and they serve decent breakfast.
- Tebogo (10/5): - The rooms and environment Nothing
- Sumaya (7/5): - The location. The staff was friendly and breakfast average. The room we stayed in had a lot of mould which wasn't very pleasant.
Lots of mildew in the toilet as well. It will need some maintenance to be done.
The driveway is very steep not recommended for cars pulling trailers.
- Xihungasi Felicity (8/5): This was a perfect location for me as a solo traveler who wanted to explore near by cycling routes. A combination of com - Perfect and central location to stay at. Nothing at all.
- Phomolo (10/5): -
- Olivier (8/5): - L'accueil, discrétion, les volumes des pièces, petit déjeuner copieux L'éclairage des salles de bains, absence de fruits et yaourt au petit déjeuner
- Mzingaye (7/5): By the way the place is beautiful and clean at the same time. - We didn't get the room that we booked for. It was given to somebody else. And in the mornings we had same thing for breakfast, bread, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, and bacon. Meaning there was no change for menu. I didn't like the smell of smoke inside the building. It would be better if a person could smoke outside the building. The other thing each room should have there own iron. We couldn't use a bath because the stopper was not there. Now we had to use a shower, instead of bath.
- Glenda (8/5): -
- Simon (10/5): -
- sondlo (10/5): I loved everything 😃😊 I would recommend guys and the owner is the best man . The hospitality we received was 100% ❤️ - Everything was beautiful Nothing
- Linda (10/5): I’m definitely going back again - The set up. The staff was excellent and friendly Nothing
- Sumaya (7/5): - The location was good. Not very impressed with the bedroom as there was lots of signs of damp on the walls which requires urgent attention.
The breakfast was standard but good.
The staff were very friendly and tried to make our stay comfortable as well. Only the damp on the walls.
The steep driveway could be a challenge for people towing a trailer.
- MIke (10/5): Stayed there before. Always a pleasure there - Lovely place to stay. Nothing.
- Thabo (10/5): -
- Tombizodwa (8/5): I love how free, welcoming and private the stay felt. - The property is beautiful well situated in a nice quiet area, the rooms a spacious and neat, a very friendly and accommodating host as well as stuff. Absolutely nothing!
- Mlungiseleli (10/5): Elegant, welcoming and comfortable - The location the view from our room, the host Chrissie. She went out of her way for me and my partner. She engaged in conversations with us, asked about our experiences around the Town. I am vegan she went out of her way to accommodate me in her breakfast menu, even though I didn’t inform her prior, she says she would’ve prepared even better if I had communicated on time. The overall experience at this property was excellent. I give it 100% I liked everything. There’s nothing I didn’t like.

The next morning we informed there is a water container in the kitchen.
- Xolisa (9/5): Excellent host with very good interpersonal skills, goes out of her way 2 make guests feel safe and - I think they should alternate the breakfast menu for people staying for 2 nights or more and they should cater/have substitution for people who don't eat pork No full length mirrors in the rooms
