• Pamela (9/5): Reliable safe and welcoming stop over .. - The breakfast has a nice varied choice of hot meals and good bottomless coffee , plus we like the fact that one can park your car securely and have a nice meal on site in the evening , and they have a large pool if you wish to swim. We have stayed here several times, the management and staff are always very welcoming and the service from all is excellent. A great stop over whilst travelling. No Complaints at all .

Our room was clean, of a good size with air-conditioning and a fridge, which helped a lot. Bed was comfortable. Had a nice outside area were we could sit. We had room 1. Our friends stayed in another room and they didn't have as nice a room. There was no door on the bathroom and the lighting to apply makeup was too dim. Also the inclusive breakfast options were all with egg, no fruit, cereal, yoghurt or something like mince or avo on toast.

• Ian (10/5): The best overnight stay in the Karoo - There is nothing at Celtis Lodge that I didn't like. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are well appointed and clean, it is peaceful and quiet and the food at the restaurant is amazing. They even had a power point to connect my caravan for the overnight stay and they have a charging point for EV's.

• Jason (5/5): Great stay over if you’re working in Middelburg or surrounds, or travelling through, but you have to be ok with the loca - It was nicely laid out with rooms surrounding garden and pool, the restaurant to the one side. Food was pretty good. It was on the edge of the crumbling town, bordering the township. Very uncomfortable. Also, if you don’t speak Afrikaans, you may struggle.

Why I would recommend: - Allowed early check in at 10:00am - Packing on the go breakfast for when we leave tomorrow morning. - Lovely play area for children under 12. - Dark rooms for day time sleep. - Prepared Cot, but the bed is also big enough to fit our whole family of 4 comfortably. - They have a restaurant on site, that brings meals to apartment which is a huge win for me with the 2 children under 2.
