Important Information

Please note that the apartments are not located at 59 James Watt Street, this is the reservations office. Guests are kindly requested to contact Glasgow City Flats once they have made a reservation in order to arrange check-in. The apartments are located at various locations within the city center. The apartments have no reception facility, therefore guests must contact Glasgow City Flats for key collection from the office between 10:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Friday, or by a meet-and-greet service at the apartment address you have booked. Check-in is from 14:30 until 20:00. Guests may also check-in after 20:00 by appointment only and prior arrangement. There is a late check-in fee of GBP 30 after 20:00, or GBP 40 after 22:00 - 0:00. Check-in after midnight is not possible. Please note that no guests under 25 years old can be accepted at the property unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Stag or hen parties cannot be accommodated. Events or parties may not be held in the apartments. Glasgow City Flats will charge GBP 100 breakage and incidentals deposit 14 days prior to arrival. This is returned, subject to a housekeeping check upon departure. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours of departure from the apartment.

Jean (9/5): Mysig lägenhet mitt i centrala Glasgow. - Läget är utmärkt, mitt i centrum och nära till tågstationen. Lägenheten ligger på 4:e våningen och det är tyst och lugnt, trots läget. Nästan inga möjligheter till återvinning, endast ett soprum i källaren där allt hamnar i samma container.

Carolyn (8/5): A very comfortable and spacious flat in a great location. - A very spacious and light filled flat with excellent facilities. We made good use of the washing machine and the large clothes drying rack. Excellent location within walking distance (10 mins) of the Queen St station, and very close to a supermarket, some major sights (cathedral and Necropolis) and Merchant City. The blind in the bedroom needs attention. A shower over the bath is not ideal, but that's nit-picking as we were aware of it on booking.
Arun (10/5): Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow. - Was well provided with essentials. For example more than adequate number of Hangars for clothes. Did not feel handicapped in the Kitchen with stoves utensils, microwave, kettle, adequate crockery and cutlery. Very good hygiene with clean linen and towels/napkins. Conveniently located with city centre within walking distance.

Steve (10/5): Very enjoyable and hope to stay again - Really nice place to stay, the TV had access to Netflix/Disney+/Prime which was great, although didn't have much time to watch anything. Good to have the option of a decent night in, though! Very recommended. I was caught on the hop initially, as the address where the booking is listed and close to where I needed to be turned out to be the property management address, with the actual place I was staying much further away, However, once arrived it was easy to use public transport links.

Raphaël (10/5): Modern, roomy and close to all the landmarks! - Exquisite 2 bedroom apartment in Merchant City, this spacious flat is walking distance from every interesting landmark in downtown Glasgow (notably the Cathedral, George Square, the various stations, the Clyde river etc.). We were very happy about the cleanliness, the very complete equipment in the kitchen, the comfort in the rooms. We also booked a parking space in the building’s protected parking lot, which was very convenient. Modern, spacious and comfortable, also the staff were welcoming and helpful! Can’t think of anything specific.

Secure parking space on request. Very informed file with information about the apartment and the facilities. Not as clean as it could be. The decor was showing wear and tear, some repairs needed. The living room furniture was quite worn, some damage. Cushions stale smelling. The kitchen area smelled of burnt food. The oven/grill trays and racks were unclean. Build up of dust and fluff in many areas. No curtains in the living room, which could have had a least some voiles on the very large windows/doors.

The flat was lovely and spacious with gorgeous views of the river. A short walk to the train and never felt unsafe in the location or during my commute. Only minor cosmetic things. Sure, the recessed lights in the hallway were dangling down from the ceiling by their wire, the absence of a soap dish in the shower was noticeable, and the sink in the bathroom was coming away from the wall, but nothing that would hinder our lovely stay. The only thing that detracted was the seemingly long walk to the main street for food and drinks, only made longer by the incessant, powerful, and cold wind. BUT, that's not any fault of the building or the flat, that's just the reality. Just something to note for future travelers.
Grant (9/5): Superb - Greatt apartment in the middle of Glasgow Bed in second bedroom was a mattress on a raised platform, in an alcove. Had to use steps to get up then crawl and roll into it. Uncomfortable because it was on the solid platform (floor).... Pleanty of room for a normal double bed. Needs to be fixed.
Ronald (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the place and the service and all arrangements were excellent. Not forgetting my friend Graham 😅🤣 Unfortunately the LEZ,low emission zone charge imposed by the council was the only let down, because we didn't have the leisure/pleasure of using our car to tour around Scotland. Ended up parking it for all our period in Glasgow
Maisa (10/5): Perfect stay - Apartment well located, in a very central area. Clean accommodation, with lots of windows and ventilation, all equipment works, complete accommodation with everything from washing machine, clothesline, dishwasher, pans, TV with Netflix, large mirrors. The apartment was exactly as in the photos, everything was very comfortable. The accommodation manager always responds to emails and requests. Fair price. Thank you very much for your stay!

The flat is in a good location, easy to access the city centre. It was also lovely and warm, with a well equipped kitchen. A number of ceiling spot lights were broken and the handles on the kitchen cupboards were very dirty.

Møllgaard (8/5): Great flat in central Glasgow - The flat is situated in the very heart of Glasgow downtown. The layout of the flat, the size of the rooms, and the facilities are excellent. Very hospitable introduction at arrival. As we insist on sleeping with open windows we enjoyed the late sounds from the club on the ground floor - just a part of city life we suppose.

The one and only bad thing I’d say is that most door knobs were broken, couldn’t close the doors of rooms and toilet. Could get stuck if the doors closed.

Rhonda (9/5): Great location and very helpful host that met us on our first day. - This apartment was great value and in a pretty good location, within walking distance to the station, bus stops, Christmas markets and the centre of town. The bed was pretty comfortable and the apartment itself was super warm and cosy. Graham met us at the location and, although we were running a little late, he still spent the time showing us around and explaining how everything worked. A very high walled bath to climb in and out of to have a shower. The code for the door to the floor level was a bit hit and miss. We acknowledge that both of these things are not easily changed, so all good.

Suzanna (8/5): Great to be back - 2019, we stayed in a 3 room Glasgow City Flat at Mitchell Street.. 2022, we stayed in a 2 bedroom Glasgow City Flat at 45 Mitchell Street. Eric met us early as our flight arrived early. Getting the keys was very easy. The apartments was very assessible to Glasgow City Centre, underground stations, bus and train stations - all within walking distance. To throw rubbish, need a code. Can be a very quiet area to throw the rubbish

Savina (7/5): Good - It is a very modern apartment, with fun and interesting design, very warm and bright. It has a spacious living room area, nice location (close to everything), and it is generally quite nice. There were issues with the bathroom’s drain. It was very very clogged and the water would take 15 min to drain after 1 person showering. There were no additional towels or sheets/blankets in case one wants to throw an extra layer on top, or use a clean towel after a couple of days stay. The building has several different doors thar need unlocking to get to the apartment, and the one on the landing by the elevator requires a code that never seemed to work. It needs fixing as otherwise you run the chance of getting stuck and having to wait for a neighbor to pass by and open from the other side.

The apartment was exceptionally well equipped with lots of extra kitchen details that we have not experienced at other locations. The building common areas, hallways etc. do not reflect how clean and well appointed the apartment is. We were happy when the initial impression on entering the building was erased by how well kept the apartment was.
Lynne (9/5): Superb - Location, speedy wifi, comfortle, well-equipped and space. Fantastic inner city pad big enough for two people to relax, do a bit of work as well as easy access to rsstaurants, shops, bars and Glasgow sites. We didnt have a car so parking was no issue. Met by Graham who was super helpful with negotiating slightly complicated access due to works in the building. Would've been nice for the price to have milk, coffee, tea and cooking basics eg: oil to be included. Also a sachet of washing powder too? Just in one-off amounts would be amazing and make this a super 5star accomodation. Otherwise all good, all clean and easy-to-use.
