We had some issues with ants on our first few nights but the staff were helpful in sorting it. We would only recommend putting in a hair dryer, if possible, and an info sheet with details about rubbish, laundry, etc. Although this may have been in the room and we missed it! We cannot fault the staff, the room or the food!

• Riley (10/5): Definitely recommend - nicely renovated accomodation that is super comfortable. All staff at hotel and bistro were lovel - Beautiful accomodation with lovely amenities. Pet friendly (including cat which can be hard to find). Staff were welcoming and like to get to say hello to the pets on arrival and the bistro staff were super accomodating in preparing meals to take to our room. It was all fantastic.

All the convenience you need including a kitchenette. The twin share room is a bit squeezy. No bedside table and only one chair. Weirdly no sink in the kitchette. But still perfect as somewhere to lay your head for the night.

• Alex (9/5): Treated like a King at Queens! - We were staying two nights for business and the staff were amazing, well above what we expected from a regional hotel. At the restaurant, we were well taken care of by Zani and Aurora, whom were courteous, friendly and attentive of our needs. Special shout out to Jackson behind the bar, our "beer Sommelier". Rooms were definitely a cut above what we are used too for fly-in fly-out job.

We went over for lunch and took our small dog which we have done previously before Christmas. The same staff member seated us then as she did on this day, however this time we were told that we had to sit right down the end in the heat and the sun. I asked her if we could move to a cooler spot down near the ramp where we sat last time, but we were told no. She asked me if she could pat our dog and I said no she gets scared of strangers, so she continued to try, and our dog growled at her. Her own fault. The pizza came out, horrible soggy, and under cooked, couldn't even lift it up. Before leaving we decided to try again for dinner that night, so the same staff member booked our table and booked the last table for us down the other end, which we thought would be way better out of the road of everyone. We arrived for dinner and guess what, the table that she had booked for us at lunch time had other people sitting at it with children. This one child kept running up and down past our table and startling our little dog who was sleeping on a short lead and could not reach her. Our dog barked, and this same staff member came out and told us that it cannot happen again. I tried to tell her what was happening, but she just walked away. Now if she had just seated us where we were meant to be this would not have been a problem. We then ordered our dinner and drinks and paid her cash of $100. When she came back with our drinks she told us that we owed her $100 plus the extra money for another 2 drinks. We told her that no we only owe you for these 2 drinks we have already paid you $100. she was trying to argue with us that we hadn't. How embarrassing, we have never been so humiliated in our lives. SOME TIPS FOR PRISICILLA - Short ginger hair. STOP SNIFFLING SNOT SOUNDS DISGUSTING, DON'T WORK IF YOU ARE SICK, ESPECIALLY IN HOSPITALITY AND AROUND FOOD. DON'T BE SO RUDE TO PAYING CUSTOMERS. WASH YOUR HANDS MORE.

• Dazza_au (6/5): - Dog friendly. The room recently renovated was perfect. Great bed, very comfortable. Very useful, tidy, and well fitted kitchenette. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and the water pressure was excellent. The digital door key was a great touch. No need to drop off a key in the morning. The young guy who came down from the bar to the reception to facilitate check in was very pleasant and helpful. It would have been very helpful to have been sent the sms regarding checking before our arrival. Especially since the reception closed a 2pm on Sunday, the day of our arrival. However, the young guy from the bar was a great help. When we went to eat at the bistro, with our dog, we were told by an older lady that we had to sit at either end of the outdoor seating. This was despite one end being occupied by a large party of 10+ and at the other end the table with 4 seats was not cleared from the last diners. This was despite there being several unoccupied tables in between either end. For a dog friendly place, it seemed strange to only have 2 designated places in the entire outdoor seating area. This older lady's demeanour was not very friendly, and the reason the staff rating was low.

• Sharka (8/5): - The rooms are beautifully renovated and thoughtfully designed — I especially appreciated the kitchenette, which made it easy to prepare meals. The shower has excellent water pressure, and the room layout feels spacious and comfortable. The staff are lovely, and there’s plenty of parking available. The rooms have very little sound insulation. I could clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, people chatting near the entrance, and someone walking or moving furniture upstairs throughout the night. The traffic noise was also quite loud, especially at night, with cars driving up the hill and roadworks taking place — including heavy machinery grinding the asphalt overnight. The motel itself is currently undergoing major renovations, and tradespeople were on site making noise from around 6 a.m. I didn’t get much sleep over the two nights and felt exhausted afterwards. If you’re a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this stage. However, the price is very reasonable, and once the renovations are completed, it has the potential to be a nice place to stay. I only wish the owners had considered better insulation during the works, as you can hear everything inside.

• Lewis (9/5): Great fit out in the rooms, a really comfortable bed, great in-room facilities and fantastic cbd location. I’ll be back - Great facilities and the decor is really fresh. Everything I needed to be able to drop a laptop in the room for work and to stay on for a couple of nights for leisure. Throw a microwave in the room and it’d be perfect.

• Alexandra (9/5): Enjoyable stay in nice accommodation. - Nicest pet friendly accommodation I’ve found. Very comfortable and clean. Easy checking/check out. Good location. No room service, but Bistro is close.
• Anita (10/5): - The location was great, easy access to eating places. Loved the black out curtains. The bed was amazing, best sleep I've had in years 😌 Everything was top quality. The only thing I could think of was didn't find a hairdryer.

• Philip (5/5): Couldn’t sleep, - Clean and modern Couldn’t sleep all night because people were yelling outside non stop until 3 in the morning People coming out of the restaurant/pub. Sound travels straight through the building. If you stay put on some white noise or something.
