• Linda (10/5): Lovely comfy hotel in lovely area white sand beach only 5 minute away - Very friendly staff lovely room and bathroom large bed everything you need lots for breakfast and a room you can use for heating up food or take aways also a large lounge with TV if you want to relax Just could do with my mattress being a bit softer on my side of the bed my husbands side was ok.just could do with a light above the mirror in the bathroom but the bathroom has lovely decorand shower

• Stephen (9/5): Ideal location , comfortable hotel providing an excellent breakfast and looked after by very engaging and helpful hotel - Good location, in the beautiful village of Gorey, with easy access to nearby a convenience store, fish n chip, Chinese takeaway and a couple of cafe’s and a 10 minute walk away the Gorey harbour area with pubs, restaurants and coffee shops A lovely sandy beach was a 5 minute walk away overlooking Mount Orgueil Castle, and there was a regular bus service into St Helier The steep flights of stairs up to the third floor bedroom

• EDDIE (10/5): Great stay at The The Maison Gorey Hotel - The staff are great, the hotel is clean and welcoming with a spotless ensuite and room. Breakfast was overall very good with attentive staff as always. Not a lot of parking and if you go out you can lose your space which means a trip around the block to a communal gravel carpark a small walk away.
• Janer (8/5): - The breakfast staff were very efficient. My room was cleaned every day. It was a good sized bedroom and bathroom I never saw any reception staff. I think this shows a lack of care by the management team and this was reflected in the lack of guests. I didnt know until my 7th breakfast that i could have asked for a poached egg. Everything seems a little tired
• Nichola (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff and we were able to leave cases in reception arriving early morning before our rooms were ready. All rooms were a good size and very clean and made up each morning. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast each morning with fruit yoghurts and pastries also available. A bonus was having a dining area where we were able to bring in a take away meal. There was also a comfortable sitting room to relax in. We couldn’t have wanted any more and would definitely recommend Maison Gorey. Nothing

• Jennifer (8/5): A comfortable hotel. Would recommend. - Staff were friendly. A warm welcome. Little extras like the use of a microwave was very useful. The single beds in one of the rooms were a little lumpy.
• Adele (10/5): Thoroughly recommend - Very friendly and helpful staff, always going the extra mile. Room clean and bright. Great ensuite with piping hot water. Wifi now extended to more distant rooms. Continental and cooked breakfast included. Access to TV room, conference room and dining room with microwave - convenient if you want to bring in take out food. Can walk easily to center of Gorey with castle, a good selection of restaurants, shops and other amenities and picturesque harbor. A perfect destination for us.

• David (9/5): A great hotel for the price. - Coffee, tea, water replenished daily. When we left towels on hooks, they didn't replace them, well done! We met friends at this hotel and we were able to use the lounge and kitchen one night, this was very relaxed, rather than eating in a restaurant every night. Breakfasts were good, but when I asked for one egg, I was given 2. I don't like wasting food!

• Cosmic Illusion (10/5): This is a hidden gem must stay. - Everything was great. The whole place was well furnished and very clean. The staff were invariably friendly and helpful. I arrived late and was greeted at the door. The hotel was quiet. My room was spacious with a nice ensuite, TV, desk, fridge and kettle tea/coffee, shampoo/shower gel + soap provided. Lovely tree outside my room which overlooked the backs of cottages - I was on the side of the building. The location is perfect, lovely walks in the area, 2 minutes to a great swimming beach, very regular bus service into town, Gorey Pier 10 minute walk to pubs/restaurants + castle. The hotel had everything I needed. Downstairs they had a dining room with copious amounts of food for breakfast. They also had a sun terrace that caught the evening sun and views over fields, you could hang your wet swimming wear to dry there. There was an additional dining room for guests with microwave, plates/cutlery if you brough in take away food, and a large visitor's TV room. They had free parking and a meeting room you could use - people stored their bicycles there if needed. I cannot rave enough about this place - the facilities and everything about it was excellent, the fact it was so cost effective is no reflection on the quality, which was also right up there. This is value for money +++++ I would definitely stay again. Okay it's asking me to rank a beach and has the wrong one (because it's a machine and doesn't know the Island.) Long beach is a 2 minute walk - it's a sweep of pure white sand with swimmable water when the tide is up, with toilets, parking, showers and kids toys to borrow. When it's down swim behind the castle. The next good beach (on the 2 bus route) is Anne Port, Archirondel is good but stony, you can walk + swim at the breakwater of St Catherine. The east coast heading to town (bus route 1) - La Rocque is safe to swim as is Le Hocq and all along la Mar. I'm scraping the barrel to find something not to like - my room was 104. Occasionally I could hear what sounded like a boiler running. I think the pipe runs up the side of the building. But this was an awareness of sound not an intrusion.

• Nicki (10/5): Brief Jersey visit - We liked the idea that you could get a take away and there were facilities to eat it in I.e a separate dining area .Also liked there being a lounge It was all good ,a little hot in the bedroom but there was a fan provided so no worries

• David (8/5): Really nice location (apart from the problem with the noise). - Staff were exceptional. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was awesome! Scenery was really really nice and public transport was easy to use too. We were on Motorbikes too though and it didn't take long to circumvent the island. But still very nice. Also great facilities if you wanted to take your own food back. It was noisy, they had guests who were clearly unwell and would start coughing really loudly during the night (usually about 04:30 most nights) and there was a party on one of the nights so between that not going quiet until about 02:00 and then the coughing at 04:30 I spent most of the break being really tired (and then, fair to say, grumpy). That was the only negative thing about this awesome Island. As I said the staff and facilities were really friendly. No food available in the evenings though so either the two (very nice and close) takeaways or a short walk to the quayside where there are lots of restaurants.

Immer wieder! - Wir haben ein super frisch renoviertes Hotel vorgefunden, mit toller Einrichtung und einem nagelneuen Bad. Personal war klasse uns sehr freundlich. Die Lage war perfekt um Ausflüge mit dem Rad über die Insel zu machen. Radunterstellung wurde perfekt und sehr unkompliziert gelöst.
• Lady Sara (8/5): Overall a good stay - Good location, very clean. Excellent staff. The room was very hot and the fan supplied was inefficient as it didn’t work properly. Bathroom only had a shower attachment which made showering difficult, a bracket on the wall would have been a good idea.

• Marie (8/5): Excellent value for money - spotlessly clean and great location - Placed in a quiet street with a good amount of parking spaces. Good access to the beach, artisan shops and a couple of cafes too. A 15 minute walk to Gorey harbour was great with a good number of quality eateries for lunch and dinner. Rooms were clean, linens beautifully fresh and facilities good, including a very welcome tea and coffee station. Shower had great water pressure. Good breakfast selection including continental and full English. We all liked the property very much and would absolutely stay again. There was nothing to dislike at all. We were told there was a large TV lounge available but we didn’t venture beyond the lobby as there were no signs indicating where to go. One of the lovely hotel staff showed us on our second evening and made us feel very comfortable. We also found a roof terrace by accident, but we had not been made aware of it and there were no signs as far we could tell. A hotel information leaflet for the rooms with a plan of the building would be really helpful for guests.

Chambre simple avec frigo, confortable mais sans air conditionné. Places de parking disponibles à l'hotel. Pas d'ascenceurs. Petit déjeuner un peu simple.

• Joe (9/5): Lovely traditional hotel - Great location, really friendly staff, super clean. Rooms visited and cleaned every day, towels changed, tea and coffee re-stocked, free water replenished daily in the fridge. Fabulous buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, both hot and cold. Fabulous walk-in shower. Great price compared to similar establishments on the island. The only downside for us was the lack of air-conditioning; it was very warm in the night. It wouldn't put us off visiting again though (in fact this was our second visit).

Parking right outside. The village had great eating and drinking options and even a laundry and dry cleaners. 5 minutes walk from the beach and historic castle On the east coast of the island so it would be more difficult without a car.

• Charlotte (9/5): Cosy little hotel - Lovely little hotel in a peaceful town, excellent customer service - staff very helpful and friendly. The room was big and cosy, great bathroom and shower. Delicious breakfast. Single bed mattresses were just slightly uncomfortable unfortunately but we still had good night's sleep as was so quiet in the hotel and area.

• Guido (8/5): Tolle Insel mit very british Charme - Sehr gute Lage und ruhig gelegen, sehr freundliches Personal und gute, den Bildern entsprechende Zimmer und deren Ausstattung. Wir haben Gorey sehr genossen, ca. 30 Busminuten von St. Helier entfernt, aber mit Burg Mont Orgueil einen absoluten Insel-Highlight im Angebot. Das Frühstück hätte ruhig ein wenig mehr Abwechslung vertragen können, ein kleines Buffet mit Brot, Wurst und Käse wäre sehr zuträglich

Standard Spring mattress a bit uncomfortable - I’m used to pocket springs so might just be me. Shower in my room was either ice cold or too hot.
