Guest Reviews
- Jessica (2/5): Never again - Bed broken , key didnt work , very unclean, beer bottles in room , gross shower , non english speaking staff, no batterys in remote
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We traveled miles just for them to tell us there were no rooms available!!!!!!😠😠😠😠
¡NO VAYÁIS!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We found dead bugs in the bathtub and live ones I had to crush. The floor was not that clean with no attention to details. The whole room plus bed was outdated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cozy& comfortable feeling, nice sized room , quiet
- James (6/5): Not the worst place - Manager was a joy she was friendly helpful and attentive
Great job
- Verified traveler (4/5): bring your own stuff - Insects throughout room on the walls, floor, bathroom and on the beds.
Towels looked like mechanics rags...literally.
table had dirty streaks, T.V. didn't work.
you're lucky if you get a room with functioning lights as well.
If you decide to stay here after reading this, be sure to bring the following items:
1. your own bedsheets
2. insecticide
3. windex
4. towels
5. alcohol wipes
the pool is closed not for the winter it's being rebuilt.
think cabin in the woods ...then it won't be so bad.
Upside: the reception lady was very polite
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Really bad service. Room was full with cockroaches and also there is bedbugs. I am doing this review because this might help improve the place. Really unhappy.
- Disappointment (2/5): - The room needs remodeling, beds, walls, base boards. Bad ordor n big roaches, windows not secured. Unsafe...😔👎
- Verified traveler (2/5): DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL - Do NOT recommend this place! Place is absolutely disgusting and the lady there was rude. My husband is away for the military and I was driving with family. I asked him to book my hotel for me because everyone was sleeping in the car. After pulling up, I realized it was a sketchy area. I went up to the window to ask her for a refund and told her I had to leave. Never once did I step foot into that room. Well after doing research I realized that she checked me in and out of the room. I lost the money for this two queen sized beds. Lots of nasty reviews of this place anyways!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked this hotel with hotels.com & when i got there, it had been sold to someone else.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This place Is good for sleeping
The room is clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nicer interior than expected - The room was nicer than I anticipated.
The room had nice furniture and wood flooring which gave it a much better overall feeling. The only con was it being located by a railroad track/yard which wasn't loud or anything just unsightly.
- James (6/5): Never again.... - Manager charged me even though it was prepaid and I was using a free night. Cockroaches in room.....Needles is not the best place in the world to stay
- T,S (6/5): - Inside was remoded & clean but night time was so many small cochroach inside bath room may came up & out from drain hall.
Otherwize OK.
- Serhat (2/5): You like cockroaches? - It was the worst cheap motel experience. Cockroaches were all over the bathroom area.
- Ajayindra (4/5): Not good for fun family - Not at all clean and surrounding was not safe
- Lorie (10/5): - Convient location and staying there a pleasure, thank you.
- Zhitong (6/5): - I wish that the AC could have been on before we moved in. The room was too hot to sleep.
- Jack (4/5): - Minimal hotel.
didn't have ice and no coffee.
- Aaron (10/5): - Got in late. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was a bit hot but it cooled off fast with AC.
- Eric (6/5): Parking lot - Would be a lot better and a sense of feeling it’s safe with a parking lot that’s brightened up.
- Greg (10/5): Good rooms. Good price. - Nice rooms.
- Laura (4/5): - Disappointed
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great value for the money. - Clean comfortable room. Staff was very friendly.
- Sharon (8/5): - Good, convenient to where I was going. Very friendly staff.
- Richard (2/5): Avoid if you want sleep - Some tweaks were in the room above me. They kept me awake until 4 am. Repeated complaints to management fell on deaf ears. I was awakened at 6:30am to people talking about their experiences of getting high. Their voices came through the bathroom window that did not completely close. Terrible place.
- Deana (4/5): - I didn't even check in. Photographs online must be old ones. I decided from the parking lot to eat it on my reservation and go somewhere else.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible stay - I would say you should not represent this type of hotel , it to be updated and cleaned , and exterminated of bed bugs.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cancelled reservation with no warning - I had booked this hotel through Expedia for a weekend getaway. When we arrived and I went to check in, the lobby stunk of cigarette smoke, there was no one at the front desk, and when someone finally did come out, they casually informed me that they had been overbooked and my reservation meant nothing. Definitely would not ever book there again.
- Raymundo (6/5): This place is cheap and clean - The rooms were clean and newly remodeled. The beds were clean however they must have used a cloth that had not been rinsed. The table had a grime on it from what they wiped it with. The place must be used to house locals. People were coming in and out from town. Everyone kept to themselves and did not bother us. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for somewhere cheap.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We checked in late to the motel and saw a really dirty bathroom. There were also stains on the fabric chairs. We didn't bother to change a room since it was very late. Wouldn't recommend this place.
- Carl (2/5): Unacceptable!, - This place is a sleazy dump! The neighborhood is in depression and clearly unsafe. There was no one to admit me. It should never have been on any list as acceptable.
- ken (2/5): Disgusted - The whole place was filthy . And the window could not be locked. The clerk was sick and coughing on me.a truly horifying experience.
- William (2/5): Bad Experience - I arrived at 3:05 .Office was locked and empty. I rang button outside door 4-5 times no response. I called motel number and could hear it ringing outside but still no response. after 25 minutes of waiting in near 100 degree temperature I left written note and put in drop key slot telling them I was cancelling reservation and was not pleased. Finally reached by phone at another hotel I found in town and lady said she was sleeping earlier .
- Ivo (8/5): - Great value.
- Verified traveler (6/5): What should you expect? - I was able to sleep but there weren't enough pillows. I shouldn't complain because it was the cheapest hotel in town and what should I really expect.
- Bill (2/5): Hotter 'n Hades. - It was 115 degrees outside, the rooms had window a/c units that were shut off. Room was unbearably hot, stifling to be honest. We cranked up the a/c. It had been so hot in room the towels felt like they had just come from a high heat dryer. We left for 4 hours, room was still hot, a/c was putting out lukewarm air. Laid in bed and sweat just poured out. Managed to sleep somehow, in morning a/c finally got cold and room was ok. Not going back.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dog friendly hotel...BUT.... - Owner provided great customer service however hotel is infested with bedbugs unfortunately and roaches. Once we informed/showed the owner of the problems she offered us a new room, which we declined due to the fact we had 2 rooms at that hotel, and both rooms had severe problems. They were a dog friendly hotel however.
- Ivonne (2/5): Dirty, Hot, Scary! - Im so sorry to leave this review but I wouldn't want anyone going through what my family and I went through!
The place looks more like apartments than a hotel. The pool is empty to begin with IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER! As were heading to a room there's all these people opening their doors to look at us from other rooms. Then we go to a room and it's really hot the AC it's not on. the room smells bad and there's little critters everywhere there's dust on the side bed tables and on the counter. The TV is outdated. Overall it looks like nobody had ever clean that room and nobody had been in that room in a long time. I just didn't feel comfortable I gave it a try for a couple hours we showered but it was just too hot and too dusty. I felt really bad call the Expedia to help me get another hotel and cancel that reservation because the lady at the front office was really nice but I just couldn't have my family at that hotel I wasn't going to be able to sleep comfortably hol that reservation because the lady at the front office was really nice but I just couldn't have my family at that hotel I wasn't going to be able to sleep comfortably. And I wasn't about to have my vacation ruined. So if you're looking for cheap in Needles California just pay 20 bucks more and go to Motel 6 it's way better and newly renovated . I know they see what your pay is what you get but at least they expect clinginess it doesn't have to be new just clean . We stayed at room 211
- Liz (4/5): Do not stay here unless you have no other options - Well, considering no one was at the hotel to check us in it wasn't really the best experience. We arrived late, around midnight, and waited about 30 minutes before deciding to leave to try and find somewhere else to stay for the night. Had to call the following day to request a refund for the pre-paid room we didn't get a chance to stay in.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Remodeled - They definitely upgraded since my last stay last July! New floors, cabinets, desks, tables, etc. But now they have roaches. There were a few baby roaches in the bathtub and on the floor, and I killed 3 bigger ones. We didn't walk around barefoot and because I don't like the thought of being around roaches I stayed on the bed. The bed was comfortable not to bad. Tv was a box tv but you got channels. They didn't give us the wifi password at check in, my fiance went back to the office to get it but no one came out. He opened the door to make the door ringer or w/e come on and still no one so he just left. He did bring up a good point for checking out. They have you drop the key off at a window but anyone can easily come up to it and grab a key and go to the room. Maybe because the area is like a ghost town they don't think anyone would, but still...
- Michael (10/5): Great Value + Friendly Staff - Car troubles led us to arrive at an ungodly late hour, but the staff were super friendly and accommodating—and we were able to quickly check in so we could get to sleep. We didn't spend much time in the room apart from sleeping + showering / getting ready in the morning —> and the room more than exceeded our admittedly utilitarian needs. The room clean with a working refrigerator, free WiFi (that actually worked!)—and the room was actually larger + nicer than I was expecting at this price point. If I find myself back in Needles, I would definitely return.
- Robert (6/5): Bates Motel - The stay was for overnight. I was only looking for a low rate, which I found. I think some of the people staying there are kind of sketchy. The area was kind of like a ghost town. Overall I wasn't disappointed. This isn't the Bates Motel, but..........
- Wings (6/5): Needles - Check in was smooth , staff is nice , they brought clean towels for us everyday. I requested a newly remodeled room, it was ok, the bedspread was old and there is no fitted sheet so the bottom sheet slid all over the bed , the bathroom window didn't lock. The neighborhood is a bit challenged the Sheriff was in the driveway and across the street 2 of the 4 days we were there. There are permanent residents at the hotel. There is no coffee or blow dryer in the room, but with that said the price was right. Once the rooms are complete and the pool has water in it , it could be a nice hotel.
- Wendy (8/5): Remodeling Rooms! - This is an older hotel with a really nice surprise, my room was brand new! Everything from new flooring, walls trim, to a sparking new bathroom. I was hesitant checking in, but was pleasantly impressed. Checking was efficient, staff was warm and helpful!
It appears that they are redoing all the rooms, as 2 more are in progress. For a hotel in this price range, very worth it. I would definately use this hotel again.
- Metoyer (6/5): Nice room shady area. - Newly remodeled room, nicely done. New floors and recently painted. Frig/freezer and small microwave included but no shampoo, safe, or coffee maker. Motel is not in a good part of town and half of the occupants looked like they lived there. Did Not leave valuables in room.
- Timothy (6/5): Beats sleeping in the street. - Adequate for stop over. Worn, tired and barely passable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable, well priced on historic rte 66 - We had difficulty when we started our check in. But, as the staff worked through the credit card terminal difficulties, they were very flexible with us. The stay was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Take this option off Expedia! - For an inexpensive choice, this is still not worth it. Pictures on Expedia not representative of rooms. Soiled carpet and furniture. No fitted sheet on bottom of bed........pillowcases stained. Employee on duty had minimal English ability. Upon check-in they printed a manually driven receipt showing my credit card information (I did not give them my card) and tried to make me sign it for the amount of the room charge - room charge was already paid via Expedia. This area of town near railroad tracks so noisy during night. Stay away!
