- Shasta (4/5): Lackluster Letdown - Location and later check out times Room was not clean upon arrival. Check in staff was rude. I was text by management to see how things were going. They were dismissive of my concerns that were identified and then proceeded to express frustration that I did not come to them in person. Room was booked due to advertisement for on site pool. Apparently the pool had closed years ago and that was not their problem. I was a consistent customer at this location because of great prior experiences. I will no longer be staying at this location.

I liked the room and that the AC actually kept me cool. Showers are a little slippery always but the water runs fine.
- Shelby (10/5): SO CLEAN - When we stayed in Lubbock on our way to NM we stayed elsewhere (it was not clean when we got there and we had to change our own bed) so we stayed at here on our way back to TX. It was SO CLEAN and smelled SO GOOD. I am 26 weeks pregnant and here lately I am more prone to wanting ultra clean places and this hotel exceeded my needs. We were comfortable and felt overall comfortable in this room. Everything was good for us during our stay.

- zhangy359 (2/5): Not Good - Hilton has always been one of my preferred hotel brands, but this particular property felt like one on the verge of closing down. I’d like to share my recent stay experience honestly, in the hope that it may serve as a reference for fellow travellers. 1 The bathroom was outdated and unfortunately far from clean, with hot water coming out as little more than a trickle. Showering was quite unpleasant. 2 There was no heating in the bathroom, making it uncomfortably cold during a shower. Additionally, there was no exhaust fan. 3 The toilet flush produced an extraordinarily loud, almost monstrous roaring sound that I worry could easily disturb other guests. 4 The low-quality bedsheets generated constant static electricity; every movement created crackling noises, and when pulling back the sheets in the dark, the static sparks were surprisingly bright and startling. 5 The swimming pool shown in the promotional photos does not exist. Many of the attractive images on the website bear little resemblance to the actual interior and facilities. 6 Sound insulation was very poor; footsteps from the room above were clearly audible and often woke me up during the night. 7 No breakfast is provided. The hotel offers a maximum of two complimentary bottles of water per stay; any additional bottles must be purchased. Overall, this stay fell well below the standards I have come to expect from Hilton, and I would advise travellers to consider other options.

The bathtub had large questionable looking stains. Not sure if it was just dirty or something else. Overall could just use a refresh. The beds were comfortable and amenities were fine. It is just looking a bit tired at this point.

- whitc (4/5): Great staff, filthy rooms, iffy location - I would not stay here again. We got two rooms - on 2Q, one 1K. There are way too many hotels, and many newer in better areas, to consider this location as filthy as the room was. Pros: Hotel was quiet. Staff was jolly and eager to please. Close to TCU, but so are most things in Lubbock. Close to interstates and middle class shopping and eateries (Target, etc.). No pests. Cons: Hotel was behind a Super 8 hotel and atmosphere matched that. Hotel neighbor on the other side was a boxing club. In an industrial area. Rooms were dirty. Mold all over shower floor, a foot up the wall, and all over bathroom floor. Mildew as well. Textiles smelled heavily of wet dog. Found bloody boogers and possibly poo? (IDK there were black crusty spots) on sheets. Mattresses, pillows, and all towels smelled heavily of wet dog. We had two rooms and both and had been liberally sprayed with Lysol but not cleaned. Easily the nastiest hotel we've stayed in nearly a decade and will not be returning. We went to target and got shower shoes and cleaning materials. I cleaned the shower three times before using it and it got noticeably cleaner - tiles changed color a bit and it killed some of the black mold. Inside of the trashcans were crusty with old coffee, food, or something. I tried cleaning that as well but just not worth it. Shower head barely put out water. Water smelled like sewage. Bathroom floor was super sticky and dirty like it had been mopped with koolaid. We did not notify the front desk because if they cared this little over prolonged time about cleaning, what would they actually do that I couldn't do better for myself and family? We will never consider staying here again and I would recommend Hilton review whether they want to continue associating their name with this location.
