A lovely clean comfortable apartment fabulous kitchen area comfortable well presented bedrooms. I was very surprised as the resort is older but the apartment was lovely. Nothing would return ( building work next to property some morning noise it didn’t affect our stay.
• Nicky (10/5): Perfect getaway for any age. Location was amazing. Watching the sunset on the balcony was superb. - The main bed was phenomenal. Only from the UK!! The location to everything was amazing. No fan in the toilet & shower that is literally the only thing I could say but that would be being extremely picky. They provide everything especially for the kids or babies.

• John (7/5): Overall satisfactory, but let down by lack of minor essentials. - Breakfast - not applicable. Location - not as described. Described as “Absolutely Beachfront” but could not be described accurately as such, being set well back with only views of the ocean in the relative distance through neighbouring gardens. 1. Absolute lack of consumables. Insufficient toilet rolls, no shampoo/conditioner/body wash, only one hand towel between five people, liquid hand soap almost empty. 2. Lounge room furniture too low for anyone with poor mobility.

• Marina (7/5): Don’t be fooled - Very comfortable. Nice kitchen and spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Confirm which unit out of 3 you are placed in, false advertising by owners. Disappointed I did not get the front unit with uninterrupted views from lounge and bedroom. Paid same price for back unit with no views from bedroom and view from lounge overlooked someone’s courtyard and another’s messy balcony. No disability access with steps from carpark to unit. Not very good as I had a knee injury.

• Joanne (10/5): On the beach and close to everything. Loved our stay. - Walking distance to shops and restaurants. On the beach. Clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view. Little tricky to find at first due to construction next door but owner was on hand to direct us. Also we didn’t hear the construction next door at all either.

• Sharon (7/5): Clean and tidy but onld-fashion way of checking in. - The property was clean and tidy. Great location on Scarborough Beach. The host was lovely. The lounges were uncomfortable, and the bed mattresses were a bit soft. I would prefer a key lock box rather than relying on someone handing over the keys. This seems like a very old-fashioned way of getting the keys. The parking to the unit was very tight down the driveway due to construction work on the property next door.

• Michael (7/5): Great spot. Good affordable accomodation. - Great location, neat and clean. Comfortable. Great ocean views and quick walk to the beach. A little dated and some things in the kitchen didn’t work like hot plate and oven. Apparently the kitchen is getting a renovation soon.

• Kylie (6/5): Scabs. - Great location. Perfect stau for a couple or a couple and 2 kids max We had 7 people and it was to small as its only 2 bedroom. Had a musty smell and old facilities which need an upgrade. We were told kitchen will be redone next month. Bathroom needs work to.

Also the taps need new washers in the bathroom and hot water also took a bit to regulate. Also needs a downpipe or something outside the windows as the rain falling from the awning was very loud… sounded like the windows were open but they were closed.

• Joanne (5/5): Ok for a couple of nights but no longer. - The location was great. It was very outdated in need of a coat of paint. The couch was very uncomfortable. Impossible if you have any sort of mobility issue.
• Lindacarle (8/5): Basic accommodation, but everything you need and so close to the beach 😊 - Great value for money, friendly accommodating host, bed was very comfortable. Perfect location - a quick walk to the beach. We arrived much later than anticipated, due to a fault our end, host was very good in regard to this 😊 Basic accommodation, but perfect for our stay. Property a little tired, could do with a paint. We didn't use the kitchen facilities, but might be better if everything worked. Internet was down for our stay.

• Amanda (8/5): - Best location, we went to the beach every morning with the boogie boards and the kids had a blast. It was clean but definitely in need of a renovation. The sliding door is difficult to open, the main hot plate and grill elements need replacing, the taps are difficult to turn off. But everything you need is there and the location was the absolute greatest. Night markets Thursday on the beach front were amazing!

We were only there to sleep as our days were busy. Carol is lovely and was easy to deal with. Just needs a bit of a freshen up/refurb.

• Allan (2/5): Exceptionally disappointing - Location "almost' on the beach. Actually had to negotiate steps/pathways...we did not do this. Washing machine worked ok. Main bedroom had exceptionally comfortable bed. On entering appt. VERY disappointed to discover we did not have balcony overlooking ocean. From site description we assumed the view would be as listed. Not smart. Subsequently looked at reviews from previous visitors. Notice nothing since 2 years or 6 years ago. Can understand why. NOTHING appears to have been updated ...exactly as Fiona described 2 years ago. Old and very tired appt. Would possibly suit "schoolies". Lounge chairs so old and low had difficulty getting up. Outside balcony railing very loose.....Met owner with keys...then had to have instructions on how to operate oven and then how to control shower hot water so we did not get burnt.
• Janet (5/5): as above - Lovely lady met us and explained everything, especially about the hot water system. The hot water system wasnt good, even though the lady explained about how to use it it didnt work properly. Difficult for me as an able bodied person but more difficult for my brother who had a disability. Brother need a sleep in the afternoon, but building next door too noisy. Would have preferred carport outside unit not up the hill. The first 2 reasons will be why we wont book again.

• Donna (4/5): - Property has not been maintained well. Facilities were poor. There was no dryer, though it was mentioned in the property ad. The step out the front door is dangerous as it is high off the ground. Furniture is very old and low to the floor. Not good for people with joint issues. Visit was not a good experience.

• Christine (2/5): Less than ** in the middle of construction site. - My sister and I viewed the property 2 days earlier when we saw the major construction going on around it. We are both elderly and the furniture was extremely old and uncomfortable. All interior very old and worn. Access only through construction site. We decided not to stay there but were unable to get a refund.

• Kim (4/5): We asked that it was made clear on all booking sites that this apartment directly adjoins a major building site so peopl - Location would be perfect if it wasn’t directly next to a building site. We liked the retro style of the interior which was kept very clean but the apartment is in need of refurbishing, We would of had no complaints with the apartment as it was relatively good value for its location but we were not given prior notice that a major building project had commenced directly beside the apartment and is at the excavation stage so the noise from 7am to 4pm every week day was unacceptable. The volume level was unbearable. The walls vibrated to the extent that the cupboards were shaking so hard that the crockery was moving! If we had known we wouldn’t have booked the apartment.

• Julie (6/5): - The unit was in need of updating, which we were told was coming. Shower was hard to control one moment hot then cold, bathroom very small. Unfortunately at the moment building works going on next door so machinery was very loud. Desperately need to look at higher lounge as was so low hard to get out of especially after knee operation. In the plus side we were close to beach, undercover parking provided and kitchen well stocked, bed was wonderful so slept well.

• Kelly (8/5): Location, Comfortable and Clean - Location to the beach and the esplanade strip - 200m to everything - but still quiet Apartment was very clean Beds were comfortable, loved the fans provided Lounge with Air Con was great for chilling in the heat of the day The hot water system made showering a bit tricky, constantly adjusting the cold water (not so good with little kids) but we were warned before hand. A non-stick frypan would have been handy, cleaning a stainless pan is frustrating. The owner did advise of the oven and one of the hotplates not working but that wasn't an issue for us. We only intended to cook breakfast and eat out for lunch and dinner.

• Adam (1/5): Worst customer service & rip off on purpose - I booked on 7th Nov for 2 nights on (15th to 17th Nov). Tried communicating with the property but they were unresponsive. On 12th Nov contacted Dalia from booking.com then Grace as well from booking.com, both tried calling the property but no answer then both sent emails to the property to provide me with the check-in information. Then I wrote to booking.com on the app to request cancellation since the property is refusing to communicate and provide the check-in instructions. The property refused to waive the fees and give refund. So I tried again to contact them for the check-in instructions. I received nothing at all from the property or booking.com so I cancelled my trip. I tried again to contact booking.com (talked with Jose) after the check-in time has passed (15th Nov at night), to ask for a full refund as the service/ accommodation was not provided ( the property refused to give the accommodation/ service). Again the property refused the refund and booking.com did not get back to me until I called them on 18th Nov. Nothing changed. I didn't book that property till I read the reviews of previous customers. The hostess Carol treated me with disrespect, knowing that she can do anything & the platform doesn't have a policy for such cases. In conclusion, the property customer service was a total failure, disrespectful and rude, the booking was a rip off as I lost 370$, the apartment was still advertised on Agoda days after I booked it/ paid already! Booking.com will not protect their customers from such rip off or fraud though I asked their intervention and I should be one of their highest tier of customers (Genius level 3). I will never deal with them again. I had a similar previous situation with another horrible host with Agoda but Agoda got me my money back. It was useless with this booking platform.

Clean comfortable beds, would happily stay there again - Sea view was beautiful, The kitchen appliances were dated and two of the 4 cooktop rings were not working but on the whole very well appointed. We only made breakfast in the accommodation and ate out for other meals so it really didn't affect our stay too much.
